An Academy Award is an award bestowed by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to recognize excellence of professionals in the film industry, including directors, actors and writers. The Oscar statuette is officially named the Academy Award of Merit and is one of nine types of Academy Awards.
The formal ceremony at which the Awards of Merit are presented is one of the most prominent award ceremonies in the world, and is televised live in more than 100 countries annually. It is also the oldest award ceremony in the media; its equivalents, the Grammy Awards (for music), Emmy Awards (for television), and Tony Awards (for theatre) are modeled after the Academy.
The AMPAS was originally conceived by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studio boss Louis B. Mayer as a professional honorary organization to help improve the film industry’s image and help mediate labor disputes. The Oscar itself was later initiated by the Academy as an award "of merit for distinctive achievement" in the industry.
Thomas Jacob "Jack" Black (born August 28, 1969) is an American comedian, actor and musician. He makes up one half of the comedy and satirical rock duo Tenacious D. The group has three albums as well as a television series and a film. His acting career is extensive, starring primarily as bumbling, cocky, but internally self-conscious outsiders in comedy films. He was a member of the Frat Pack, a group of comedians who have appeared together in several Hollywood films, and has been nominated for a Golden Globe award. He has also won an MTV Movie Award, and a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award as well as hosting the 2006, 2008, and 2011 Kids Choice Awards.
Black was born in Santa Monica, California, the son of two satellite engineers, Judith (née Cohen), who worked on the Hubble Space Telescope, and Thomas William Black. His mother is Jewish and his father converted to Judaism (Black attended Hebrew school). On The Tonight Show, he said his surname may have come from the occupational name Blacksmith. Black's parents divorced when he was 10; Black moved to Culver City with his father and frequently visited his mother’s home. As a child, Black appeared in a commercial for the Activision game Pitfall! in 1982, which was later shown during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live and again on The Tonight Show with Conan O' Brien. When Black entered high school, his parents enrolled him at the Poseidon School, a private secondary school engineered specifically for students struggling in the traditional school system. Black also attended the Crossroads School, where he excelled in drama. He later attended UCLA but dropped out during his sophomore year to pursue a career in entertainment, at which point his father discontinued his financial support.[citation needed] Fellow UCLA alumnus Tim Robbins later cast Black in Bob Roberts. He also had recurring roles on the HBO sketch comedy series Mr. Show.

His career enjoyed a resurgence in the 1990s with his role in Pulp Fiction, and he has since continued starring in Hollywood films, including Face/Off, Ladder 49, and Wild Hogs. Travolta was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for Saturday Night Fever and Pulp Fiction. His mother, Helen Cecilia (née Burke, January 1912 – December 1978), was an actress and singer who had appeared in The Sunshine Sisters, a radio vocal group, and acted and directed before becoming a high school drama and English teacher. His siblings, Joey, Ellen, Ann, Margaret, and Sam Travolta, have all acted. His father was a second-generation Italian American and his mother was Irish American; he grew up in an Irish-American neighborhood and has said that his household was predominantly Irish in culture. He was raised Roman Catholic, but converted to Scientology in 1975.
Mary Louise "Meryl" Streep (born June 22, 1949) is an American actress who has worked in theatre, television, and film. She is widely regarded as one of the most talented actors of all time.

Dans les journaux
Tous les pays du monde
Semblent en guerre
¨¤ la radio
On en reparle ¨¤ toutes les heures
En disant qu'il n'y a rien ¨¤ faire
(In the papers
All the countries of the world
Seem in war
On the radio
We hear about it hour after hour
Saying that there's nothing to do)
(Me in this life
Where I have to make my spot under the sun
The night I have troubles
Alone falling finally asleep
And I'm often very afraid)
Au secours
Il me faut beaucoup d'amour
(Help
I need lots of love
To understand what's happening around me
Help
Tell me that at least someday
People will make peace with each other and for ever)
(No more distance
Between countries of the world
No more borders, no more distrust
No more pain
One single goal in the heart
Between friends, between brothers)
Il me faut beaucoup d'amour
(Help
I need lots of love
To understand what's happening around me
Help
Tell me that at least someday
People will make peace with each other and for ever)

Whiskers, whiskers, whiskers, whiskers
I see whiskers on your face
The way you look is a disgrace
I guess nothing could take the place of your whiskers, your whiskers
Ha ha, have to laugh you see
'Cause this is where I'd like to be
This and that would seem quite strange
And you couldn't even want to die
If the problem was like that
You can say that to the cutter
Oh no no I think you better
To be or not to be je m'en foutais
Yes, I got your address from a friend
It was a matter of life and death
Something I needed off my chest
So can we meet tonight
But I don't wanna fight
Don't wanna leave 'til we're alright
Remembering everything that was said
Remembering went right straight to my head
Then there's regret
That we don't have
But when it comes down to saying it
No, you don't have the minute to spare
No, you don't think we need to repair
All those things that we are missing
'Cause you know there's something missing
No, you don't have the minute to spare
No, you don't think we need to repair
All those things that we are missing
'Cause you know there's something missing
I sit and watch the clock on the wall
As it counts down the end of my life
It leaves a bad taste in my mouth
Like sending letters with no reply
But I don't wanna fight
Don't wanna bleed 'til we're alright
Remembering everything that was said
Remembering went right straight to my head
Then there's regret
That we don't have
And it's your voice
That I don't hear
And it's the life we could have had
But when it comes down to saying it
No, you don't have the minute to spare
No, you don't think we need to repair
All those things that we are missing
'Cause you know there's something missing
No, you don't have the minute to spare
No, you don't think we need to repair
All those things that we are missing
'Cause you know there's something missing
Know there's something missing
I am the culprit in all this
I deserve this blood
So be honest
I'm ready
To take back everything I said
It was all just in my head
It was all just in my head
No, you don't have the minute to spare
No, you don't think we need to repair
All those things that we are missing
'Cause you know there's something missing
No, you don't have the minute to spare
No, you don't think we need to repair
All those things that we are missing
'Cause you know there's something missing
Quel sera notre ultime recours
Sitting on a broken dream
And memories are what might have been
Biscuit crumbs and bird seed in his
Whiskers, Whiskers, Whiskers
Even though he never went to war
He still felt something worth fighting for
But no one else ever cared as much as
Whiskers, Whiskers, Whiskers
Whiskers, Whiskers, Whiskers
He sits in the moonlight
On top of the hill
Playing a penny whistle
And picking thistles out of his kilt
He rubs his paws together
And it begins to snow
As he counts up all the Christmas lights
In the village down below
He sits around the campfire
And licks at his wounds
Staring sadly back
At his reflection in a spoon
We used to want the same things
When we were growing up
But somewhere along the way
I started hoping for too much
I found his little plastic shield
Chewed up on the battlefield
And I knew then I'd never make a friend again like
Whiskers, Whiskers, Whiskers
Whiskers, Whiskers, Whiskers
Whiskers, Whiskers, Whiskers
