As Colin Miller scanned the mixed bag of soccer players — many of them already out of breath after a quick warm-up drill — the usually intense FC Edmonton head coach held back what could have easily been endless criticism. At Wednesday’s practice, there were 20 red faces, players bumping blindly into each other, and uncontrolled balls colliding and flying in the wrong direction. Water breaks were frequent; Miller would surely argue a little too frequent.
