COPE, an acronym for Cadena de Ondas Populares Españolas ("People's Radiowaves of Spain Network") is a private, right wing, commercial, Spanish radio network owned by a series of institutions within the Spanish Catholic Church. COPE was admitted as an active member of the European Broadcasting Union in 1998.
It is the home of Así son las mañanas, its most popular broadcast, a mostly politics-related, morning talk show presented by Ernesto Sáenz de Buruaga.
Its editorial guideline is the promotion of the views of the hierarchy of the Spanish Catholic Church.

Lama is also the Spanish play-by-play announcer (alongside Paco González) of the EA Sports' FIFA series video game since 1998.

Francisco "Paco" González (Madrid, 1966) is a Spanish sport journalist.
Gonzalez was born in Madrid in 1966, but raised in Folgueras de Cornás (Tineo, Asturias). He returned to Madrid to study journalism at Complutense University. He started work as an intern at broadcaster Cadena SER in 1987 and did not graduate. Due to his talent, he was put in charge of Carrusel Deportivo, one of the most important radio programmes, at the age of 25. He was the producer of Carrusel, where worked alongside Pepe Domingo Castaño and Manolo Lama, until May 2010. González has been the Spanish color commentator (alongside Manolo Lama) of the EA Sports' FIFA series video game since 1998. In May, 2010, he was fired after a dispute with the management of Cadena SER, and joined Telecinco for its coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2010. Since August 2010, alongside with most of the collaborators he had at "Carrusel", including Pepe Domingo Castaño and Manolo Lama, he runs the program Tiempo de Juego at Cadena COPE, direct competitor of Cadena SER.
David Albelda Aliqués (born 1 September 1977) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Valencia CF as a defensive midfielder.
He played mainly for local Valencia during his extensive professional career, being team captain for over a decade.
A Spanish international in the 2000's, Albelda gained 51 caps for the country, representing it in two World Cups and at Euro 2004.
Born in La Pobla Llarga, Ribera Alta, Valencian Community, Albelda started his career as a central defender with local UD Alzira and, after having served two separate loans with Villarreal CF, also in the region, returned for good to first professional club Valencia CF in the 1999–2000 season, playing a major role in a squad that was crowned La Liga champions in 2002 and 2004, adding to that the 2004 UEFA Cup. Since the 2001 summer, with Gaizka Mendieta's departure, he was also awarded team captaincy.
On 20 December 2007, Albelda, along with fellow teammates Santiago Cañizares and Miguel Ángel Angulo was axed from the Valencia squad by recently arrived coach Ronald Koeman. In the captain's case, he had ironically just renewed his Valencia link until 2011.
