The Filipino people or Filipinos are an Austronesian ethnic group native to the islands of the Philippines. There are about 94 million Filipinos in the Philippines, and about 11 million living outside the Philippines.

There are around 180 languages spoken in the Philippines, most of them belonging to the Austronesian language family, with Tagalog and Cebuano having the greatest number of native speakers. The official languages of the Philippines are Filipino and English and most Filipinos are bilingual or trilingual.

Most Filipinos refer to themselves colloquially as "Pinoy" (feminine: "Pinay"), which is a slang word formed by taking the last four letters of "Pilipino" and adding the diminutive suffix "-y". The lack of the letter "F" in the pre-1987 Philippine alphabet, Abakada, had caused the letter "F" to be substituted with "P". This is why, when the 28-letter modern Filipino alphabet was made official in 1987, the name Filipino was preferred over Pilipino. The name Filipino was chosen by the Spanish explorer Ruy López de Villalobos, who named the islands "las Islas Filipinas" ("the Philippine Islands") after Philip II of Spain.

Anderson Hays Cooper (born June 3, 1967) is an American journalist, author, and television personality. He is the primary anchor of the CNN news show Anderson Cooper 360°. The program is normally broadcast live from a New York City studio; however, Cooper often broadcasts live on location for breaking news stories. As of September 2011, he also serves as host of his own eponymous syndicated daytime talk show, Anderson.

Anderson Hays Cooper was born on June 3, 1967, the younger son of the writer Wyatt Emory Cooper and the artist, designer, writer, and heiress Gloria Vanderbilt, and is a great-great-great-grandson of Cornelius Vanderbilt of the prominent Vanderbilt shipping and railroad fortune. Cooper's media experience began early. As a baby, he was photographed by Diane Arbus for Harper's Bazaar. He is also a descendant, through his mother, of Brevet Major General Hugh Judson Kilpatrick who was with Union General William T. Sherman in his March through Georgia.

At the age of 3 Cooper was a guest on The Tonight Show on September 17, 1970, appearing with his mother. At the age of 9, he appeared on To Tell the Truth as an impostor. From age 10 to 13 Cooper modeled with Ford Models for Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Macy's.

Dr. Ahmed Gamal El-din MOUSSA (Arabic: أحمد جمال الدين موسى ) (born 28 May 1951 in the Al-Mouqata, Dakahlia, Egypt) is the Minister of Education and Higher Education in Egypt. He was appointed following a cabinet reshuffle led by PM Ahmed Shafik. It is notable to state that he was the Minister of Education before. Professor Moussa delivers lectures in the faculty of law of Mansoura University.

Michael Christian Martinez (born November 4, 1996 in Parañaque, Philippines) is a Filipino figure skater.

Martinez began skating in 2005 at a shopping mall ice rink. He trains mainly in Manila and also spends two months a year in California with coach Ilia Kulik.

Michael Christian (born 21 August 1964) is a former Australian rules footballer and media personality from Busselton, Western Australia.

Christian played 82 games for East Perth in the WAFL from 1981 to 1986 and then crossed to Collingwood in the VFL/AFL to play out his football career. Christian would play full-back for the majority of his career, but was used sparingly as a forward. Christian would be part of the 1990 premiership side and represented Western Australia on 3 occasions.

After retiring, Christian became a football commentator, and has commentated on radio for Triple M and Geelong station K-Rock (3GL). He currently commentates football matches for Network Ten), as well as hosting the breakfast program, Prime Time Sports Interactive on Sport 927 with Angela Pippos and has hosted AFL post-game analysis show The Fifth Quarter with Andrew Maher since 2004.

Christian has also commentated on weightlifting events at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
