Hunting Impala in South Africa With A .375 H&H; Video of me hunting impala in South Africa with a .375 H&H; Magnum. I was hunting with Kok & Seyffert Big Game Hunting in the Limpopo Province of South Africa when we encountered this herd of impala in a dry river bed. We stalked as close as we could, but were unable to approach any closer than 190 yards. I set up on the shooting sticks and waited for him to turn broadside. I hit him slightly to the rear of where I was aiming, but still hit his vitals and he only ran about 50 yards after the shot. The impala's longest horn measured 21 3/4" and he scored 54" overall, easily making the SCI record book. I was using a CZ 550 chambered in .375 H&H; firing 300gr Peregrine VRG-3 bullets.
