Tyson Fury said he is ready to fight Wladimir Klitschko for his WBO world title belt after he comfortably defeated Christian Hammer to retain his European heavyweight title on Saturday. Fury beat Romania’s Hammer by a technical knockout at London’s O2 Arena.

Hammer had been knocked down in the fifth before his corner threw in the towel three rounds later. Fury, who is the mandatory challenger for Klitschko’s title, celebrated his victory by singing a version of Walking in Memphis and reiterated his desire to take on the Ukrainian, saying: “I’m ready for him.”

Chris Eubank Jr won the WBA “interim” middleweight title with a 12th-round stoppage of Russia’s Dimitry Chudinov.
