Things to do in China Travel Guide: Guangxi Province (Guilin, Yangshuo, Li River, Rice Terraces) playlist: 1) A tour of Yangshuo night life including visiting a night market and eating Chinese street food (阳朔夜市和街头食品) China 2) Red Yao Hill Tribe Long Hair Performance at Lonji Longsheng Rice Terrace in Guilin, China (瑤族 - 瑶族) (龙胜梯田 - 龍勝梯田) 3) Li River Bamboo Boat Cruise down the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo, China (Lijiang: 从桂林到阳朔漓江竹游船) 4) Hiking up Longsheng Rice Terraces (Longji Dragon's Backbone) in Guilin, China (龙胜梯田 - 龙脊梯田) 5) Bicycle ride around scenic rural and countryside areas just outside of Yangshuo, China (骑自行车在阳朔乡间) 6) A tour around Guilin, China at night including night markets, street food, pagodas and lakes 晚上桂林 7) Taking the train in China from Hong Kong to Guangzho en route to Guilin travel video So tonight is our very last night in Yangshuo, a charming little town in Southwestern China, so we're going to show you around the main strip. So our first stop is going to be the street food market. I haven't eaten in maybe two hours, so it's time to get a snack. If I had to choose between Guilin and Yangshuo the two most popular cities in this region it's definitely Yangshuo. It's a more historic town. It's a lot more pedestrian friendly and there are great As we were wandering around the night market tonight we had lots of people come up to us and ask to take photos beside us. At least probably four or five times and we finally filmed the last one. It was really cool. We were like celebrities in China. Yeah, almost famous. So, this market had some pretty cool souvenirs. We saw fake Chinese passports if you want to take one of those home. They also had combs carved out of ox bone. They had these stamps where you can get your Chinese name carved on them and then you can just sign documents that way which is pretty cool. Today we are visiting a local hill tribe that just lives a few hours outside of Guilin and we've come here because this community is known for the women's long hair. They grow it out and it's almost a meter and a half long and we're actually going to be watching a performance where they spin their hair and wrap it up and show us how they wear it. Today we're in between Guilin and Yangshuo and we're doing a special river cruise down the Li River. So this tour is going to be an hour and a half long and we're going to get to enjoy some pretty stunning landscapes, so I'm pretty excited about it. When I came here two years ago it was hazy and foggy. Now it's a gorgeous glorious day. Here we are at the Longji Rice Fields which are located just outside of Guilin. We've had such good luck. Check out the weather and the views behind. So we are hiking up to one of the viewing platforms. This is going to be tough because it's like forty degrees outside and we're been told it'll take 30 minutes to one hour depending on our pace. So I'm trying to stay hydrated. Audrey is going to have to workout We've rented a couple of bikes and we've decided to spend our last morning exploring around the countryside areas of Yangshuo. They were pretty cheap. Just under two dollars for each bike. So we finally made it to Guilin. So this is the Guilin main square. It gets really busy here at night. Lots of shops, restaurants, eateries. You can do it all here. Chinese singing. So we are now at the lake and the main attraction are the these two pagodas that light up at night. Background music playing. Oh, that mapo tofu looks so good. Really generous sized portion. Well, it's hard to believe but our time in Hong Kong has already expired. Today we're taking a train ride. Where are we going? We're crossing over into China. We are in Guangzho. Apparently there are two train stations. We arrived at the one that is on the East End of the City and we had to get across town to the other and it was difficult but we need to keep going. So right now we are in Guangzho station waiting for our train to Guilin. And we happen to be waiting in the VIP room. There is no tea in this tea room. We're going to Guilin. Uh, we're looking for number ten. So we're in the dining cart now getting ready to have dinner. Let's see what is on the menu if we can even read it. We barely got a seat here. Decision time. So we did manage to find an English menu which makes things a lot easier. Fish one. Tofu with pork. One. Okay. Rice. One Rice? Okay. Beer. One. Okay. Ah, green tea - one. okay. So this is the friend fish with a sweet and sour sauce. Good morning. We are almost in Guilin. Our train has been delayed about an hour and a half. Modern time wonder Quinghai Express in China. The Third Millennium marked the inauguration of a unique train, the Tibet Qinghai Express that travels from China to Tibet. A railroad through the Himalayas on the ‘roof of the world’ and the highest railway line on earth that leads through breathtaking landscapes from Peking to Lhasa. The journey lasts about forty eight hours and includes two nights on the train. The journey begins on a road that for much of the time runs close to the railway line and travels across the high mountain passes of the Kulun Mountains and at a height of nearly five thousand metres above sea level is a remote high plateau that lies within an earthquake zone and often encounters severe snow storms. The train winds its way higher and higher from one high plateau to the next up to snow covered mountains and into the “home of the gods“. Along with the Great Wall Of China and the Three Gorges Dam, the Tibet Railroad is one of China’s greatest structures. The trains travel at the highest speeds that are possible on permafrost, a hundred kilometres an hour and sometimes even up to a hundred and twenty! The Tibet Qinghai Express has already turned many dreams into reality and in future years even more passengers will experience this magnificent and unique experience.
Experience of travelling by train from Almaty, Kazakhstan, to Tashkent, Uzbekistan (via Shymkent); on the National Railway Company of Kazakhstan (Қазақстан Темiр Жолы / ҚТЖ). On board the Soviet-style train, it was a close to 13 hour ride from Almaty to Shymkent. On the sleeper cabin (shared by four people), a mattress and pillow (with fresh sheets) were provided. It is advisable to bring adequate food and water on the journey. This is a cost-effective albeit less comfortable way of getting to Tashkent from Almaty: by taking a domestic train service to Shymkent, then taking taxi to the Kazakh-Uzbek border, crossing the border into Uzbekistan before taking another taxi to the capital, Tashkent. Note: private vehicles can double as a taxi, negotiate first with the driver on the price. A little spoken Russian will go a long way here. Thank you for watching. Mekong River tour 2015 - Mekong River cruises 2015 Travel Videos HD, World Travel Guide http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=World1Tube The Mekong is a trans-boundary river in Southeast Asia. It is the world's 12th-longest river and the 7th-longest in Asia. Its estimated length is 4,350 km (2,703 mi), and it drains an area of 795,000 km2 (307,000 sq mi), discharging 457 km3 (110 cu mi) of water annually. From the Tibetan Plateau this river runs through China's Yunnan province, Burma (Myanmar), Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. In 1995, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam established the Mekong River Commission to assist in the management and coordinated use of the Mekong's resources. In 1996 China and Burma (Myanmar) became "dialogue partners" of the MRC and the six countries now work together within a cooperative framework. The extreme seasonal variations in flow and the presence of rapids and waterfalls in this river have made navigation difficult. The river is a major trading route linking China’s southwestern province of Yunnan to Laos, Burma (Myanmar) and Thailand to the south, an important trade route between western China and Southeast Asia. Course ========= The Mekong rises as the Za Qu and soon becomes known as the Lancang (Lantsang) in the "Three Rivers Source Area" on the Tibetan Plateau in the Sanjiangyuan National Nature Reserve; the reserve protects the headwaters of, from north to south, the Yellow (Huang He), the Mekong, and the Yangtze Rivers.[3] It flows through the Tibetan Autonomous Region and then southeast into Yunnan Province, and then through the Three Parallel Rivers Area in the Hengduan Mountains, along with the Yangtze to its east and the Salween River (Nujiang in Chinese) to its west. The Mekong then meets the tripoint of China, Burma (Myanmar) and Laos. From there it flows southwest and forms the border of Burma and Laos for about 100 kilometres (62 mi) until it arrives at the tripoint of Burma, Laos, and Thailand. This is also the point of confluence between the Ruak River (which follows the Thai-Burma border) and the Mekong. The area of this tripoint is sometimes termed the Golden Triangle, although the term also refers to the much larger area of those three countries that is notorious as a drug producing region. From the Golden Triangle tripoint, the Mekong turns southeast to briefly form the border of Laos with Thailand. It then turns east into the interior of Laos, flowing first east and then south for some 400 kilometres (250 mi) before meeting the border with Thailand again. Once more, it defines the Laos-Thailand border for some 850 kilometres (530 mi) as it flows first east, passing in front of the capital of Laos, Vientiane, then turns south. A second time, the river leaves the border and flows east into Laos soon passing the city of Pakse. Thereafter, it turns and runs more or less directly south, crossing into Cambodia. At Phnom Penh the river is joined on the right bank by the river and lake system the Tonlé Sap. When the Mekong is low, the Tonle Sap is a tributary; water flows from the lake and river into the Mekong. When the Mekong floods, the flow reverses; the floodwaters of the Mekong flow up the Tonle Sap. Immediately after the Sap River joins the Mekong by Phnom Penh, the Bassac River branches off the right (west) bank. The Bassac River is the first and main distributary of the Mekong; thus, this is the beginning of the Mekong Delta. The two rivers, the Bassac to the west and the Mekong to the east, enter Vietnam very soon after this. In Vietnam, the Bassac is called the Hậu River (Sông Hậu or Hậu Giang); the main, eastern, branch of the Mekong is called the Tiền River or Tiền Giang. In Vietnam, distributaries of the eastern (main, Mekong) branch include the Mỹ Tho River, the Ba Lai River, the Hàm Luông River, and the Cổ Chiên River.

The Japan News 2015-04-06Lanzhou (simplified Chinese: 兰州; traditional Chinese: 蘭州; pinyin: Lánzhōu; Postal map spelling: Lanchow) is the capital and largest city of Gansu Province in Northwest China. A prefecture-level city, it is a key regional transportation hub, allowing areas further west to maintain railroad connections to the eastern half of the country. Lanzhou is home to 3,616,163 inhabitants at the 2010 census and 2,177,130 in the built-up area (urban) on 1,088 km².
Originally in the territory of the Western Qiang peoples, Lanzhou became part of the territory of Qin (state) in the 6th century BC.
In 81 BC, under the Han dynasty (206 BC–220 AD), it was taken from the Huns' Huandi Chanyu and made the seat of Jincheng commandery (jùn), and later of the Jincheng county (xiàn), later renamed Yunwu. The city used to be called the Golden City, and since at least the first millennium BC it was a major link on the ancient Northern Silk Road, and also an important historic Yellow River crossing site. To protect the city, the Great Wall of China was extended as far as Yumen.

Il me semblait l'avoir aimée.

Lunjo, moj stari kofer
opet mirise na sive ceste
a tvoja soba na mandarine
i przen kesten
i toplo je tu,
tu ispod tvog krova
o, dobro je tu,
u zamku iz snova,
pa sretna ti Nova
Lunjo, sad cu ti reci
i vise nikom i vise nikad
svako je od nas ponekom slican
al' ti si unikat
procitas me, znam, od slova do slova
precutis to, znam, ko pametna sova
pa sretna mi Nova
Ref.
Ti uvek znas najbolji nacin,
s tobom lako stizem na tron
ti si ta nit, taj retki zacin
koji daje poseban ton
ti si mali carobnjak koji donosi spas
a svi ti pajaci na pokretnoj traci
nek zure bez nas
Lunjo, ako me traze
ti slazi da sam odavno mrtav
spusti roletne i navij sat
na sredu, cetvrtak
a napolju mraz i magla i zima
a napolju mrak, al' ovde sve stima,
od kad tebe imam
He don't remember, how it got there
It had a number, written on his forearm
It spelled disaster
All hoping, all hoping for dancing
He was looking, and looking stunning
His clothes reflected light, all right
She sat, she sat in the backseat
The car was plush but had no heat
And no not no one was blushing
Their technique was so damn right
All right, and!
He read the note in the black light
He thought he read minds and was not right
That line still made him seem charming
I don't care that flowers grow for you,
And me, and me
You don't know what love is till you see,
Her standing there
A web of skin and nails and hair
A web of skin and nails and hair
And bones and bones,
And thorns
Rushing in, out her hair
You think you are alive, but you are dead
You keep, on driving in your car asleep
I'm driving in your car
I dont know why flowers grow in winter time
The sky turns gray the sun don't shine
And people rush to be on time
For warmth they wrap them selves in woolen cloaks
And hats and scarves
Like larva in their incubators
And drive and drive
And drive and drive and drive
Tão longe estás de mim
Que eu penso ser o fim
Do nosso grande amor
Por não ouvir a sua voz
Mil vales, céus e rios
Ficaram no vazio
Pavor do nunca mais
Somente existe nós
O longe me faz mal
Por que lembra final
E o fim me desespera
Neste tempo de esperar
Que volta aos braços meus
Por que depois de adeus
A dúvida ficou
Se vais ou não voltar
Na espera do será
A gente nunca está
Completamente só
Se olhar num ponto muito além
A lua na amplidão
A iluminar no chão
De nossa solidão
Os passos meus e seus também
Se a lua que te vê
Dissesse o que você
Está pensando agora
Nesta ausência tão cruel
Se já me esqueceu
Ou lembras como eu
E ao nosso juramento
Se mantém fiel
Sweet caress and tender mouth
Kissed her breast and then he found, he found
Forty days and forty nights, before this day
Said that she would always be the man, until she found herself
You can't stop her now
Peace within, or has she seen?
(And you know she will find out) she's gonna find
(She's not too far behind)
Searching for the sheering heat
Broke the glass, and stole the fate that she didn't earn
For the dress she wore that night, to find her there, she found herself
If he could see his way to daylight
You can't stop her now
(Speak softer love, in my love)
Always remember, story uh, laughter, remember your family
I was six years old when I fell down on Spencer Ave.
It was my aunt suzy’s house and I still can see the bruise
I remember grand daddy even though I never sat on his knee
He taught me life was culture baby
My uncle David they call him Jello the only man that could say hello
And it sound like angels singing in your ear
And even though they all passed away I still long for their company
And I wonder God why couldn’t they stay
So I gotta remember though I’m young that my time will surely come
And now I gotta try to keep it together as I watch my family pass me by
So remember, so remember, so remember
So remember, so remember, so remember
So remember, so remember, so remember
So remember, so remember, so remember your family
I was twelve years old when my uncle Andrew had got sick
And Jaundice turn to HIV and then his body quit
It was strange the numbness I felt, watching him all dressed in black
Wasn’t thinking about what he gave up but about all I lacked
So I gotta believe, that if I give I can live through eternity
And I gotta know, if I don’t share myself know one will ever know
So remember, so remember, so remember
So remember, so remember, so remember
So remember, so remember, so remember
So remember, so remember, so remember your family
Repeat
I always yeah remember what my mama told me
I always yeah, always take the bitter with the sweet
I always yeah, remember what auntie told me
I always yeah, even when it’s hard be a lady baby
I always yeah, remember what grand daddy said
I always yeah, you got to lay in the bed you make
I always yeah, remember what my uncle taught me
I always yeah, don’t give up when it gets hard keep pushing baby
And you got to, remember everything they taught you
And you got to, hold on to what is true
And you got to, never forget where you coming from
And you got to, and you got to, and remember
Remember, I said one more time, remember oh
Remember, so remember, so remember (repeat)
