Because you can't stop the music...unfortunately.
Myopia (Greek: μυωπία, muōpia, "nearsightedness" (AmE), "shortsightedness" (BrE)) is a condition of the eye where the light that comes in does not directly focus on the retina but in front of it. This causes the image that one sees when looking at a distant object to be out of focus but in focus when looking at a close object.
Eye care professionals most commonly correct myopia through the use of corrective lenses, such as glasses or contact lenses. It may also be corrected by refractive surgery, though there are cases of associated side effects. The corrective lenses have a negative optical power (i.e. are concave) which compensates for the excessive positive diopters of the myopic eye.
Myopia has been classified in various manners.
Borish and Duke-Elder classified myopia by cause:
Elevation of blood-glucose levels can also cause edema (swelling) of the crystalline lens (hyperphacosorbitomyopicosis) as a result of sorbitol (sugar alcohol) accumulating in the lens. This edema often causes temporary myopia (nearsightedness). A common sign of hyperphacosorbitomyopicosis is blurring of distance vision while near vision remains adequate.[citation needed]
Thomas Richard "Tom" Fogerty (November 9, 1941 – September 6, 1990) was an American musician, best known as the rhythm guitarist in Creedence Clearwater Revival and the elder brother of John Fogerty, lead singer and lead guitarist in that band.
Fogerty was born in Berkeley, California. He began singing rock and roll in high school, just as his brother, John Fogerty did. He and his brother had separate groups. Tom's band, Spider Webb and the Insects (which featured Jeremy Levine of the Seeds), signed a recording contract with Del-Fi Records but broke up in 1959 before releasing any records. John's band, The Blue Velvets, began backing Tom, and eventually Tom joined John's band, and the group recorded three singles for Orchestra Records in 1961 and 1962, with Tom as lead vocalist. In the mid 1960s, the group was called The Golliwogs and recorded with Fantasy Records, with Tom and John sharing lead vocal duties. By 1968 the band was renamed Creedence Clearwater Revival, when John had become full-time lead singer and primary songwriter. During the few years of the life of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Tom sang backing vocals and wrote songs, but only one of his songs ("Walking on the Water") was recorded. This lack of opportunity, along with festering, long-standing animosity with his brother, led him to leave the band in 1971.
Marc Rizzo (born on August 2, 1977 in Carlstadt, New Jersey, United States) is the lead guitarist of American metal band Soulfly and formerly of Ill Niño. He has featured on five Soulfly albums to date: Prophecy, Dark Ages, Conquer, Omen, and Enslaved. He has also released three solo instrumental albums; Colossal Myopia, The Ultimate Devotion, and Legionnaire. Marc is also a member of Cavalera Conspiracy, a side project with the co-founders of Sepultura, Max and Igor Cavalera. The band released their debut album Inflikted in 2008 and "Blunt Force Trauma" in 2011.
While primarily regarded as a metal guitarist, Rizzo's solo work demonstrates an interest in a wide range of styles, combining elements of hard rock, metal, jazz, classical and flamenco guitar. 2007 saw him headline his first US tour to sell out venues across the country. In 2008 Rizzo's two solo records were released under Shrapnel Records and are available on iTunes (itunes.com).
As a former standout athlete in his youth, Marc tirelessly trains with weights/shadow boxing/sprints while on tour. He is known to eat a jar of peanut butter coupled with hard boiled eggs for extreme protein.
You promise so much, but deliver so little
Make out you care, despite the fact that you're so fickle
Our eyes can see clearly and our ears can hear
Still, everything you say is all so unclear
Avoiding the questions with the answers you give
The con goes on and on, how can we believe?
Are you speaking in tongues? or just dodging the issues
Or busy stocking up on extra three ply tissues!
Myopia, myopia ... too blind to see the truth
Myopia, myopia ... as history will prove
Myopia, myopia ... where is the real you?
Myopia, myopia...
True colours, shining through
Bland and benign are the politics you deal
On both sides of the house, such a slow turning wheel
The passion is lacking, the rhetoric is stale
How can you succeed where others always fail?
Can I have a pair of your rose tinted glasses?
So life looks much better for all us lower classes
Why should we suffer this barrage of deceit?
You only fool yourself when you can't cope with the heat!
Myopia, myopia ... too blind to see the truth
Myopia, myopia ... as history will prove
Redopia, Blueopia ... the onus is on you?
Myopia, myopia...
