Stockholm (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈstɔkːˈhɔlm, ˈstɔkːˈɔlm, ˈstɔkːɔlm]( listen to the second one)) is the capital and the largest city of Sweden and constitutes the most populated urban area in Scandinavia. Stockholm is the most populous city in Sweden, with a population of 864,324 in the municipality (2010), 1.4 million in the urban area (2010), and around 2.1 million in the 6,519 km2 (2,517.00 sq mi) metropolitan area (2010). Founded no later than c. 1250, possibly as early as 1187, Stockholm has long been one of Sweden's cultural, media, political, and economic centres. Its strategic location on 14 islands on the south-central east coast of Sweden at the mouth of Lake Mälaren, by the Stockholm archipelago, has been historically important. Stockholm has been nominated by GaWC as a global city, with a ranking of Alpha-. In The 2008 Global Cities Index, Stockholm ranked 24th in the world, 10th in Europe, and first in Scandinavia. Stockholm is known for its beauty, its buildings and architecture, its abundant clean and open water, and its many parks. It is sometimes referred to as Venice of the North.

Plot
In June of 1994, one of the most brutal mass slaughters in history occurred in the woods of northern New England. Four months later, history is about to repeat itself. The end of summer signals the brink of manhood for a group of 18-year-old boys who pridefully call New Hampshire their home. Led by Buddy - once regarded as a major league pitching prospect - the boys embark on a local rite of passage, traveling north for one final weekend of debauchery in Canada. Unfortunately, it may just be their final weekend, period - as this rite goes very wrong. Along the way, the boys pick up Bro, their most intelligent - and only African American - friend, who is about to embark on an academic career at Dartmouth College. Where his right hand once resided is now a stump, and while this painful reminder of a terrible accident signifies a darker time, little does he realize what it will come to signify to those whom he encounters in the backwoods of New Hampshire. Henry David Thoreau once wrote, "Not till we are completely lost or turned 'round do we appreciate the vastness and strangeness of nature." Unfortunately for the boys, just being lost would be a luxury compared to what they are about to experience - as there is nothing to be appreciated about what nature has in store for them on this night. What begins as a humorous comedy of errors quickly becomes a Darwinian gore fest, and what unfolds is a cerebral yet repulsive journey through the history and nature of humanity and "civilization." With four distinct clans vying for supremacy and survival in the woods of New Hampshire, less than 24 hours will pass before a slew of lives have been claimed and the last of the living remains.

Something cold, something blue, something sorrowed, something slew.

Dude-Guy: Talkin' about Africa don't make you more black.::Bro: I was just drawing a parallel.::Dude-Guy: OH, now you're drawin'? You an artist, too? Is that your major?::Bro: No, it's Linguistics. What's yours?::Dude-Guy: Gun Repair. It's a certificate course. [Buddy snickers] HEY! Some people like to shoot heroin - personally, I prefer cocaine - but I DO like to shoot guns.::Buddy: And someday, you'll have your very own certificate that says you're qualified to repair them, too.
Officer Girth: Gonna need you to pop the hood.::Dude-Guy: Want me to check it out? I work at a muffler shop. I recently got promoted.::Officer Girth: Now there's something you certainly don't read in the obits every day...
G.G.: One gunshot from a shotgun - senseless. So how d' you make this make sense? Take your time. Time your take. Some call it mean. I call it meaningful. Take my meaning?
Bags: I wish that owl would shut the f*ck up.::Bro: You know what Thoreau said about owls?::Bags: That he wished they would shut the f*ck up?
Bro: A voice said... Look me in the stars, and tell me truly men of earth, if all the soul and body scars were not too much to pay for birth.
I've heard love songs make a Georgia man cry
on the shoulder of somebody's Saturday night
Read the good book, studied it too
but nothing prepared me for living with you
Lock me up tight in these shackles I wear
tied up the keys in the folds of your hair
And the difference with me is I used to not care
Stockholm let me go home
Once a wise man to the ways of the world
now I've traded those lessons for faith in a girl
Crossed the ocean, thousand years from my home
in this frozen old city of silver and stone
Ships in the harbor and birds on the bluff
don't move an inch when their anchor goes up
And the difference with me is I've fallen in love
Stockholm let me go home
Let me go
And the night, so long, I used to pray for the daylight to come
Folks back home surely have called off the search and gone back to their own
Ships in the harbor and birds on the bluff
don't move an inch when their anchor goes up
And the difference with me is I've fallen in love
Stockholm let me go home
Let me go
A boy looks like an old man
He huddles in the cold
And reaching for the darkness
Away from the half-light
A dark girl wanders on, and on
She bears a wound for you
A car comes to a halt
Inside a man is waiting
He is calling his house
Eyes fixed at the gun
A bag is tossed to the ground
Its content's already used
The cold subsides and someone dies
There in the half-light
He is calling his house
Eyes fixed at the gun
A language she don't know
Telling her about love
She lets him in
