Get in get out of the rain
I'm gonna move on up to the waterfront
Step in step out of the rain
I'm gonna walk on up to the waterfront
Said one million years from today
I'm gonna step on up to the waterfront
Get in get out of the rain
Come in come out of the rain
So far, so cool, so close, yet still so far
So far, so cool, so close, yet still so
So far [3X]
The rain
I'm gonna move on up to the waterfront
Step in step out of the rain
I'm gonna walk on up to the waterfront
Said one million years from today
Step on up to the waterfront
Said come in come out of the rain [3X]
I'm gonna move on up to the front
I'm gonna walk on up to the front
I'm gonna live on up by the front
I'm gonna walk on up to the front
Come in come out of the rain
Come in come out of the rain
Said come in come out of the rain
Come in come out of the rain
Move on up
So step on up
Walk on up
Live on up
File away [3X]
So, walk away
So far
I walk away
So, so, walk away
Up to the waterfront
Up to the waterfront
So far
So far
Leave me alone, get out, out of my face
Leave me alone, get out, out of this place
Stop haunting me! Stop haunting me!
Stay in the shade, keep out of my way
What do you want of me? How low can you be?
Stop haunting me! Stop haunting me!
Just go anywhere the wind blows
Just go anywhere at all
Leave me at the waterfront
Your mouth big as the moon
You're like a hole for two
You know what I mean when I say
Strange beasts live in you
Stop haunting me! Stop haunting me!
Just go anywhere the wind blows
Just go anywhere at all
Leave me at the waterfront
There's so much dirt you spread
How low can you get, I am so sick of you
You keep coming back
Stop haunting me! Stop haunting me!
On the waterfront, On the waterfront,
Leave me alone, get out, out of my face
Leave me alone, get out, out of this place
Stop haunting me! Stop haunting me!
Stay in the shade, keep out of my way
What do you want of me? How low can you be?
Stop haunting me! Stop haunting me!
Just go anywhere the wind blows
Just go anywhere at all
Leave me at the waterfront
Your mouth big as the moon
You're like a hole for two
You know what I mean when I say
Strange beasts live in you
Stop haunting me! Stop haunting me!
Just go anywhere the wind blows
Just go anywhere at all
Leave me at the waterfront
There's so much dirt you spread
How low can you get, I am so sick of you
You keep coming back
Stop haunting me! Stop haunting me!
On the waterfront, On the waterfront,
On the waterfront, On the waterfront
On the banks of a sunset beach
Messages scratched in sand
Beneath a roaming home of stars
Young boys try their hand
A spanish harbouring of sorts
In Catalonian bars
They were pulled from a sinking ship
And saved for last
On the waterfront the rain
Is pouring in my heart
Here the memories come in waves
Raking in the lost and found of years
And though I'd like to laugh
At all the things that led me on
Somehow the stigma still remains
Watch the train steam full ahead
As it takes the bend
Empty carriages lose their tracks
And tumble to their end
So the world shrinks drop by drop
As the wine goes to your head
Swollen angels point and laugh
"This time your god is dead"
On the waterfront the rain
Is pouring in my heart
Here the memories come in waves
Raking in the lost and found of years
And though I'd like to laugh
At all the things that led me on
Somehow the stigma still remains
I decided to go out and breathe in the air I was made for
There were ten thousand greys in the sky
Not a single soul around
Seems no one likes to be rained on
Seems no one likes to be rained on
Come and flow wherever it takes you
Come on and flow
And on the waterfront I walked
The water was moving so graceful
I felt all of my fears fall away
And I sat down and closed my eyes
The sound on the breeze was my cradle
The sound on the breeze was my cradle
Come and flow wherever it takes you
Come on and flow wherever it takes you
Come on and flow wherever it takes you
Come on and flow
And I decided to go out and breathe in the air I was made for
It was rainin',
I walked all day,
walked by myself,
and it's fallen again.
I was out of my brain,
just strolled on the streets,
in the air
and the rain,
to the fields.
And the day turned to night
and the night turned to day,
it was falling again.
And the air and the rain,
my hands and my face,
the cars on the streets
the town and the fields
seemed to me. . .
I know where you're going,
I know who you are
I know why you feel this,
I think you'd better learn to swim.
It's rainin',
I'm walking here again,
the way crosses the town
to the fields in the rain.
I'm out my brain,
just strolling on the streets,
and all faces and places
start closin' around me.
The rain's like a sea,
'cause it's all around me,
and it's all around me
the air and the rain
and it's all inside me
yes, all the same
yes, all the same,
the air and the rain
and the cars and the streets
and the town and the fields
yes, all the same. . .
yes, it's all. . .
