Molly is a 1999 romantic comedy-drama film about a 28-year-old woman with autism who came into the custody of her neurotic executive brother. The film was directed by John Duigan and written by Dick Christie, and stars Elisabeth Shue, Aaron Eckhart, and Jill Hennessy.
Elisabeth Shue plays the title character, Molly McKay, a 28-year-old woman with autism. She has lived in an institution from a young age following her parents' death in a car accident. When the institution must close due to budget cuts, Molly is left in the charge of her neurotypical older brother, Buck McKay (Aaron Eckhart), an advertising executive and perennial bachelor. Molly, who verbalizes very little and is obsessed with lining up her shoes in neat rows, throws Buck's life into a tailspin as she runs off her nurses and barges into a meeting at Buck's agency naked.
Molly's neurologist, Susan Brookes (Jill Hennessy), suggests an experimental surgery in which genetically modified brain cells are implanted into Molly's brain. While Buck initially balks at the suggestion, he finally consents to the surgery and Molly makes a gradual but miraculous "recovery", speaking fluidly and interacting with others in a "normal" way. Buck begins taking Molly to social events, like a production of Romeo and Juliet, a baseball game, and expensive dinners. However, after a few months, Molly's brain begins to reject the transplanted cells and she begins to regress into her former state. Both Molly and Buck must accept the eventual loss of Molly's "cure" and her regression to her previous state.

Plot
A young writer becomes curious, then intrigued, and finally obsessed with the strange behavior of the woman next door. A police photographer who shows work in galleries, this woman has been spying on a seemingly unimportant man for reasons the writer cannot fathom. When she tries to frame her quarry for a brutal murder, the writer determines to solve the mystery he's stumbled upon. Motivated by curiosity and a hunch that his neighbor is on a self-destructive path, he also has been drawn to her for more primal reasons. The more he discovers about the woman's past and the identity of the man she has targeted, the clearer it becomes that she harbors a painful, potentially deadly secret.
Plot
Rebel without a cause or a clue at an elite but uptight college discovers some of his classmates have formed an even more elite clique more or less hell-bent on ridding the school, and quite possibly American society, of what they deem to be its undesirables because of ethnicity, politics, etc. Our hero recruits a teacher and some other "less desirable" classmates to undermine the elitists, and, naturally, things get quite violent.

Plot

Charley Varrick: I like your bed. You may find this hard to believe but I've never slept on a round bed.::Sybil Fort: Is that so?::Charley Varrick: What's the best way? North, south, east, or west?::Sybil Fort: That depends on what you had in mind.::Charley Varrick: What I had in mind was boxing the compass.
Charley Varrick: It has to do with this bag of money I'd like to give back to you.::Maynard Boyle: So give it back. What's the problem?::Charley Varrick: The problem is the big gorilla in the maroon car who's trying to kill me.
Molly: [when asked if he would like a prostitute] I don't sleep with whores... at least, not knowingly.
Harman Sullivan: What's bothering you?::Charley Varrick: I don't know. Something smells bad.::Harman Sullivan: Charley, *you* smell bad. Now don't you run a game out on me or I'll hang you out to dry.::Charley Varrick: What's that kind of money doing in a Tres Cruces bank?::Harman Sullivan: Where should it be?::Charley Varrick: Bank that size figures to have maybe thirty, twenty thousand dollars in it.::Harman Sullivan: Listen Charley, just let me ask you one question. The money was *there*, right?::Charley Varrick: Yeah.::Harman Sullivan: Now its *here*, right?::Charley Varrick: Yeah.::Harman Sullivan: So what's the big deal?
Charley Varrick: You know what dirty money is? That's the kind of money you can't declare on your income tax. Well, when certain people get that kind of money, what they do is send it out of the country to invest, and when it comes back, it's clean.::Harman Sullivan: So?::Charley Varrick: So maybe that little bank was a drop, a collection point. Maybe all this was on its way out of the country.::Harman Sullivan: Fantastic! We lucked out!::Charley Varrick: More like crapped out. It's ten-to-one this stuff belongs to the Mafia. This is gambling money skimmed off the top, whore money, dope money.::Harman Sullivan: What's the difference?::Charley Varrick: The difference is the Mafia kills you, no trial, no judge. They never stop looking for you, not 'til you're dead. I'd rather have ten F.B.I.s after me.
Charley Varrick: Mafia money. All I wanted was a small take, in and out quick, no big deal.::Harman Sullivan: Well, don't you worry, Charley, cause if you don't want your share, I'll be more than happy to take it over for you.::Charley Varrick: I'm sure you would, Harmon.::Harman Sullivan: Well, what do you want to do, give it back?::Charley Varrick: I've been thinking about it.::Harman Sullivan: Charley Varrick. Well, I got some news for you, Charley. You haven't got the balls of a bull canary bird. And something else, I ain't giving back penny number one!
Charley Varrick: We're gonna have to keep pretty quiet for a while.::Harman Sullivan: Is that so?::Charley Varrick: That's right. Best way to get nailed is to start tossing that stuff around.::Harman Sullivan: And what's your idea of a while?::Charley Varrick: Three years. Maybe four.::Harman Sullivan: Are you telling me that I can't spend none of this money for three, four years?::Charley Varrick: Right, right, that's what I'm telling you. And you better lay off that juice, too. That's another way to get nailed, me along with you.::Harman Sullivan: Any more instructions?::Charley Varrick: No.::Harman Sullivan: Nothing more you wanna hang onto me?::Charley Varrick: Not right now.::Harman Sullivan: Then I got something I wanna hang onto you, jimmy dick! I've been waiting all my life to make a score like this, and now that it's here, I ain't waiting no more. I mean, I'm gonna wail. And I'm talking about chicks, cars, clothes, a box at the races, and beefsteak three times a day, and no washed up, chicken-shit son-of-a-bitch had better try stop me!
Jana: [Molly arrives at the whore house] These are the goodies. He says his name is Sally::Molly: Molly.::Jana: [the prostitues laugh] Sally, Molly, if you got a bell, honey, we'll find a way to ring it.::Molly: I didn't travel six hundred miles for the amusement of morons. Is that clear, ladies?::Taxi driver: Now just a darn minute there.::Molly: You just keep throwing your feathers, mister, before I put you in the hospital.::Taxi driver: Yes, sir.
Maynard Boyle: Why am I being denied access to my own premises?::Mr. Garfinkle: Well, it's a matter of priority. You see, first and foremost, this is a murder investigation.::Maynard Boyle: Well, my business is purely financial.::Mr. Garfinkle: Well, you're very lucky so far, Mr. Boyle. All we have found missing is about thirteen hundred dollars.::Maynard Boyle: Well, if you're a nice fella, nice things happen to you.
Maynard Boyle: You know something, Harold? I never thought I'd be willing to change places with a cow.::Harold Young: A cow?::Maynard Boyle: Those things out there. They are cows, aren't they?::Harold Young: I don't understand the thrust of your comment.::Maynard Boyle: Take a look at them out there. I mean, they got it knocked. What's the worst thing in the world that could possibly happen to them? A short circuit in the electric milker. Compared to what I'm facing, that's child's play.

The war began
And Henry left his farm
Left his darling Molly
With a baby in her arms
Now the war was over
And their life could begin
Molly saw her darling
Standing at the door again
It's so nice to hear
Your voice again, Molly
So nice, to feel your
Arms around me, Molly
Oh, how happy I'd be
If I only could see you
Sweet, sweet Molly
(Molly, Molly)
Please don't cry
(Please don't cry)
Maybe I should have written
To let you know ahead of time
But I was afraid you'd worry
If you knew that I'd gone blind
Do I hear you crying, Molly
Please don't cry, you silly thing
See what you've done
You've even brought
A tear to my eye
Oh how happy I'd be
If I only could see you
Sweet, sweet Molly
(Molly, Molly)
Please don't cry
(Please don't cry)
Where's my son
What does he look like, Molly
Everyone says he took after me
Lord, I wish I could see
Come here, little man
Don't be afraid, I'm your daddy
Guess he'll get used to me in time
Won't he, Molly
It's so nice to hear
Your voice again, Molly
So nice, to feel your

Please help me find Molly
Hi, I'm looking for Molly
I've been searching everywhere
And I can't seem to find Molly
Do you know where I can find Molly?
She makes my life happier
More exciting
She makes me want to dance
Dance (repeat)
Please help me find Molly
Hi, I'm looking for Molly
I've been searching everywhere
And I can't seem to find Molly
Do you know where I can find Molly?
She makes my life happier
More exciting
She makes me want to dance
Dance (repeat)
Take a bow, collect all your pumps and praise
Like a bomb, you turn the night into day
I wanna sing all the things my mind forgets
But the words don? t escape my mouth
Occupied by this cigarette
Yesterday, I thought it couldn? t get much worse
Until I woke up this morning
I hoped to sleep until this chaos was gone
So don? t wait for me, it? s time to move on
Carry on, carry on to where? I don? t know
Carry on, my dear Molly, we have to let go
Carry on, carry on to where? I don? t know
Carry on, my dear Molly, carry on
The moon hides behind the clouds
The foothills don? t make a sound
The clock's tired arms continue to spin round
I hold my breath under this ocean of silence
'Til I put an end to this mind of violence
Carry on, carry on to where? I don? t know
Carry on, my dear Molly, we have to let go
Carry on, carry on to where? I don? t know
Carry on, my dear Molly, carry on
Carry on, carry on to where? I don? t know

You’re Pretty In Pink
Molly Ringwald
I know what you think
That I’ll forget you
The girl of my dreams
That I’ll neglect you
It’s rude and obscene
So don’t leave me
You’re breaking my heart
And believe me
I’m falling apart
Molly Ringwald
Molly Ringwald
I know what you think
That I’ll forget you
The girl of my dreams
That I’ll neglect you,
Its rude and obscene
So don’t leave me
You’re breaking my heart
And believe me
I’m falling apart
Don’t Deceive Me
Relieve Me
Say it's OK
Say it's alright
In Pretty in Pink
In 16 candles
In Breakfast Club
You were there for me
And I’ll always be there for you
So don’t leave me
You’re breaking my heart
And believe me
I’m falling apart
Don’t Deceive Me
Relieve Me
Say it's OK
I never remember feeling like this
Uh, yeah, yeah
Who ever knew that I will feel this way about you?
At times I wanna fly away, which is you
Club nights I don't wanna... without you
Cause everything seems a lot brighter cause of you
You know I deal with all the pressure from the world
So you're not afraid to always bring other girls!
This type of love is all the fun, and it's strange
I happy when I hear your name, do your thing, do your thing!
Chorus:
Molly, molly, molly, molly
Molly, molly, molly, molly
I'm happy when I hear your name
Do your thing, do your thing!
Molly, molly, molly, molly
Do your thing!
Molly, molly, molly, molly
When the world... to get me down
Yes it did!
You put me right upon a cloud
So it seems
You know just how to treat me
Like a king
When I met you that Miami night up in...
I knew what kind of girl you were from the start
But you take me to another level, and it's hard
Never knew that you will...
When I'm with you, I'll be feeling good, swear to God!
Celebrate when we're all together, the champagne
I'm strong when you take away all the pain
... and it's strange
I'm happy when I hear your name
Do your things!
Chorus:
Molly, molly, molly, molly
Molly, molly, molly, molly
I'm happy when I hear your name
Do your thing, do your thing!
Molly, molly, molly, molly
Do your thing!
Molly, molly, molly, molly
Other thugs say they know you too
It's alright just as long as you're still my boo
In the night days when I'm really on... twice
Got me float, I don't touch the ground, I can fly!
Still rolling, let me go to... you and me
Hold tight so I don't lose you, so...
You... for a queen
Make a blind man see the heaven, he could read
Give me chills all through my body, c an't explain
When you're gone, I can hear your voice in my brain!
This type of love is hard to find, and it's strange
I love it when I hear your name
Do your thing, do your thing!
Chorus:
Molly, molly, molly, molly
Molly, molly, molly, molly
I'm happy when I hear your name
Do your thing, do your thing!
Molly, molly, molly, molly
Do your thing!
Molly, molly, molly, molly

What the fuck?
How could this happen to me?
There's a million different people
walking down a million different streets
I wonder if your Mom knew, the second that the car
rolled in your direction
I wonder if your mom knew, should have told about a
thousand bad decisions
Stop asking questions and learn to accept
that the things that we have right now are the best
things that we've had yet
It's getting dark
This wasn't part of the plan
I'm closing my eyes and I will never open them again
Oh no no, I've got numbers I could call
Start problems I don't need
Start trouble with my friends that won't even matter
when I leave
And I've got numbers I could call
Start problems I don't need
Start trouble with my friends that won't even matter
when I leave
Hey Molly, how you doin'?
I'm doing fine
I feel alright
No, I feel better than alright [x2]
Stumbled upon some of the art you drew
While me and your neighbors were trying to clean out
your room
And it was hard, especially for your mom
Cause your friends are here and they miss you, but they
will eventually move on
And I've got numbers I could call
To forget about today
But I would rather sit alone, think of things that I
would say
And I would write it in a letter and I will bury it in
my backyard
And we will always think about you, cause you remind us
of who we are
Hey Molly, how you doin'?
I'm doing fine
I feel alright
No, I feel better than alright [x8]
I feel fine!
I feel better than alright!
I feel fine!

Lil' bitch, my sanction is important
My new car's imported
My bank account is enormous
Weed so loud it's distorted
Got champagne and we pourin' it
She poppin' it and she snortin' it
My iPhone recordin' it, if I want it, I can afford it
Bitch I'm Young Khalifa, fillin' my lungs with reefer
Somewhere in the clouds, gotta press up to see us
I gotta whip so fast that I caught a ticket speedin'
And my bitch so bad that I'm never ever cheatin'
I might pull up in some shit that you've never ever seen
And if I said how much I made, then you won't even believe it
Me and T-Y gettin' gnarly when we pull up to the party
Brought a whole pound of Mary
And I can't seem to find
Molly, Molly, Molly, Molly, Molly, Molly, Molly, Molly

I saw you every morning
Keeping me from yawning
Another friendship sold
When I was five years old
Imagine my surprise
Looking in your eyes
As you lay there cold
Fourteen years old
What do I say
What do I say
What do I
[x2]
Say it ain't so
Say it ain't so
Say it ain't
[x2]
Came without a warning
Now I lay here mourning
Another friendship told
Another heartache sold
Imagine your demise
From inside your eyes
Now you lay there cold
Now I'm freezing
What do I say
What do I say
What do I
[x2]
Say it ain't so
Say it ain't so
Say it ain't
[x2]
What do I say
What do I say
What do I
[x2]
Say it ain't so
Say it ain't so
Say it ain't
[x2]
You took my breath away from me Molly
(Don't say you're gone)
And if I could I would give you my breath
To keep you from death
Fourteen years now I'm in tears Molly
Still can't believe you're really gone
What do I say
What do I say
What do I
[x2]
Say it ain't so
Say it ain't so
Say it ain't
[x2]
What do I say
What do I say
What do I
[x2]
Say it ain't so
Say it ain't so
Say it ain't
When I was a young man
I ran away from home
I went to join the circus
I went to see the cotton candy world
And make me lots of money
On my own
For Molly oh my pretty Molly
She's waitin' all alone
Someday soon I will return to her
Then I made the big time
Bright lights show biz
I'm really in the circus
There's only one thing wrong
I haven't saved a penny on my own
For Molly ah my pretty Molly
But she's writing every day
Molly understands so it's okay
Ride a windy boxcar
And see a thousand children young and old.
Oh that greasepaint smile can hide you so
Here comes the carousel
Guess wich town it is
Feel the thrill
Greasepaint covers everything
But winter's chill
I'm reading Molly's letter
The ink is fading and
The page is turning yellow
Long ago
I promised Molly
Don't you know I
I will close my eyes
I see you naked in the
Bath
Cigarette stains on your
Hands
Wilted flowers in a vase
And I ask how you are
I see your lipstick on
Your glass
And I think you're drunk
And start to laugh
And I find your note the
Letters ran
And it said I loved you
Don't ask why
Sixteen candles down the
Drain
I watch you passed out for
A while
I touch your face you
Start to smile
And on your note is my
Reply
I wished I loved you
Don't ask why
Sixteen candles down the
When I was a young man
I ran away trom home
I went to join the circus
Went to see the cotton candy whirl
And make me lots ot money on my own
For Molly, oh my pretty Molly
But she's waiting all alone
Someday soon I will return to her
Then I made the big time
Bright 11ghts show biz
I'm really in the circus
There's only one thing wrong
I haven saved a peony on my own
For Molly, oh my pretty Molly
But she's writing everyday
Molly understands so it's okay
Ride a windy box car
See a thousand children young and old
Oh that grease paint smile
Can hide your soul
Here comes a carrousel
Guess which town it is
Feel the thrill
Grease paint covers everything
But winters chill
I reading Molly letter
The ink is fading
And the page is fuming yellow
Long ago I promised Molly
Don't you know I
