Winnipeg ⁱ/ˈwɪnɪpɛɡ/ is the capital and largest city of Manitoba, Canada, and is the primary municipality of the Winnipeg Capital Region, with more than half of Manitoba's population. It is located near the longitudinal centre of North America, at the confluence of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers (a point commonly known as The Forks).

The name "Winnipeg" comes from the Cree for "muddy waters". The Winnipeg area was a trading centre for Aboriginal peoples prior to the arrival of Europeans. The first fort was built there in 1738 by French traders. A settlement was later founded by the Selkirk settlers in 1812, the nucleus of which was incorporated as the City of Winnipeg in 1873 with a population of 1,869. Winnipeg is the seventh-largest municipality in Canada, with a population of 663,617 in the Canada 2011 Census.

Winnipeg has a diversified economy, with sectors in finance, manufacturing, food and beverage production, culture, retail and tourism. Winnipeg is a major transportation hub, served by Richardson International Airport. The city has railway connections to the United States and Eastern and Western Canada through three Class I rail carriers.

Bryan Matthew Little (born November 12, 1987) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player currently playing for the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Although Little was born in Edmonton, Alberta, he was raised in Cambridge, Ontario. He grew up with his younger brother Shawn and his parents, Brenda and John.

Little played much of his minor hockey for the Cambridge Hawks of the Alliance Pavilion League until 2001-02 season.

He then played for the Cambridge Winter Hawks Jr.B hockey team at the age of 14, while he attended Southwood Secondary School until age 15, when he moved on to the OHL Barrie Colts. Little was selected in the 3rd round (50th overall) in the 2003 OHL Draft after a standout season with the Winterhawks.

Little was selected first round, 12th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Thrashers. He won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2007 World Junior Hockey Championship. He played Junior B for the Cambridge Winterhawks. After four seasons playing for the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), he joined the Thrashers' farm team, the Chicago Wolves, for two games in the 2007 playoffs, recording no points or penalties. According to one local columnist, "He didn’t play much, and he was playing out of position, but the biggest thing was that he fit right in ... he played like he'd been there all season."

Winnipeg's Most is a hip hop group made up of the MCs Jon-C (Billy Pierson), Charlie Fettah (Tyler Rogers), and Brooklyn (Jamie Prefontaine). They are based in the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Jon-C and Brooklyn are both Aboriginal artists, and the group was recently featured in the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation documentary series 8th fire.

The group debuted in the summer of 2010 with the hits All That I Know and Bang Bang, taken from their self-titled debut studio album; released in June 2010, the album was produced by the Juno nominated producers Stomp and Jay Mak of RezOfficial Music. These initial singles spawned videos directed by Stuey Kubrick and received significant airplay on Canada's Much Music. The group won numerous Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards in 2010, including the award for Best New Artist, and they won six APCMA's in 2011.

In early June of 2010, Winnipeg's Most released their first project to the public: a pre-album promotional mixtape titled "Northside Connection." The mixtape featured artists like Blu, Ed E Buk, Zeek Illa, Bubblz, and Lady Sedution. This release was immediately popular both online and in the city of Winnipeg, and in the wake of this success, the group released two singles to the Winnipeg radio station Streetz FM: All That I Know and On These Streets. These songs quickly hit number one on the station's top 10 chart. This radio play, combined with the thousands of online downloads of the promotional mixtape, quickly established Winnipeg's Most as one of the most revered hip hop group to ever emerge from Winnipeg. Joseph James "Joe" Rogan (born August 11, 1967) is an American martial artist, stand-up comedian, actor, writer and color commentator. He is best known for playing Joe Garrelli on the NBC sitcom NewsRadio, commentating for the Ultimate Fighting Championship, hosting the NBC reality show Fear Factor and The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

Rogan was born in Newark, New Jersey. His paternal grandfather was Irish and the remainder of his ancestry is Italian.

In 1981, at age fourteen, he became a practitioner of Kenpo Karate before transitioning to Taekwondo. He eventually gained a 2nd dan black belt. A four-time state champion in Massachusetts, in 1987 he was the USA Taekwondo U.S. Open Champion. In 1996, he began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Jean Jacques Machado, eventually earning his brown belt. In addition, he holds a brown belt in 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu under Eddie Bravo.

He also practiced and competed in kickboxing.

In 1994, he co-starred on the Fox comedy Hardball as Frank Valente, the young, ego-centric star player on a fictional professional baseball team. From 1995 to 1999, he co-starred on the comedy NewsRadio. He portrayed Joe Garrelli, the electrician at WNYX, a news radio station in New York City. In 2002, he appeared on the episode "A Beautiful Mind" of Just Shoot Me as Chris, Maya Gallo's boyfriend. In 2011, Rogan played his first major character in a movie in the Kevin James movie Zookeeper. He is slated to play himself in an upcoming action-comedy starring Kevin James called Here Comes the Boom, set to be released in the summer of 2012.
