Alex Lee (born 16 March 1970, Bristol) is an English musician. Lee is a multi-instrumentalist who has played guitar and keyboards for Goldfrapp, Strangelove, Suede, Placebo and The Blue Aeroplanes amongst others. During his tenure with Suede, he was a live session player during the 1999 Head Music tour, and was later taken on as a full member of the band for their final album, 2002's A New Morning, on which he has songwriting credits.
Lee joined the Blue Aeroplanes in 1989, around the time that they signed to Ensign Records. He played on the hit album Swagger. He played with The Jazz Butcher and then formed Strangelove with Patrick Duff in 1991, staying with the band until 1998, and recording three albums.
In 2001 he joined Suede, replacing Neil Codling, and played on the album A New Morning.
In January 2006 Lee was recruited for Placebo's live line-up and played shows with them on their Meds world tour which finished in September 2007. Rosamund Mary Elizabeth Pike (born 27 January 1979) is an English actress. Her film roles include villainous Bond girl Miranda Frost in Die Another Day, Jane Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, Helen in An Education, Lisa in Made in Dagenham, Miriam Grant-Panofsky in Barney's Version, Kate Sumner in Johnny English Reborn and Andromeda in Wrath of the Titans.
Pike was born in London, England, the only child of concert musicians/opera singers Caroline (née Friend) and Julian Pike. Her father is now a professor at the Birmingham Conservatoire.
The family travelled across Europe until she was seven, following wherever her parents' performing career took them; as a result, she speaks fluent French and German. Pike won a scholarship to Badminton School, and while appearing in a production of Romeo and Juliet at the National Youth Theatre, was noticed by an agent who helped her embark upon a professional career.
After being turned down by every stage school she applied to, she gained a place to read English Literature at Wadham College, Oxford. While there, she studied under both Bernard O'Donoghue, the Whitbread prize-winning poet, and Robert J. C. Young, the eminent post-colonial theorist.[citation needed] She starred opposite Simon Woods in Pride and Prejudice.
Dora the Explorer is an American animated television series created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh, and Eric Weiner. Dora the Explorer became a regular series in 2000. The show is carried on the Nickelodeon cable television network, including the associated Nick Jr. channel. It aired on CBS until September 2006. A Spanish-dubbed version first aired as part of a Nick en español block on NBC Universal-owned Telemundo through September 2006; since April 2008, this version of the program has been carried on Univision as part of the Planeta U block.
Dora, the main character, is an eight-year-old girl who embarks on a trip in every episode in order to find something or help somebody. She asks the viewers at home to help her find new ways to reach places with the help of Map. She also teaches viewers Spanish, introducing them to short words and phrases.
Dora has a positive view of the characters she meets, failing even to hold a grudge against the mischievous fox, Swiper, who continually attempts to steal items from her party. She acts against villains only when it seems that compromise is impossible, and even in these cases, fails to display actual anger. She gives others a chance to try their hands at tasks even when she herself might have an easier time with them. Dora values her family, whom she loves openly, though she spends little time indoors at home with them. She tries to introduce her traditions and customs, subtly and without compulsion, to those who are not familiar with them.
Things ain't what they used to be
Now I believe in all extremes
Things ain't what they used to be
And that won't change till we're a hundred and three
Let's never try to solve it baby
The equation of you plus me
Things ain't what they used to be
Can you believe it all we've seen
Things ain't what they used to be
It's theme park living A to Z
Let's never try to solve it baby
The equation of you plus me
It's all the same we're here today
Yesterday is just a dream, ancient history
It's all the same we figured out
What to take and what to leave, for the honey bees
Things ain't what they used to be
No money and no guarantee
Things ain't what they used to be
Our future's in a cup of China tea
Let's never try to solve it baby
The equation of you plus me
It's all the same we're here today
Yesterday is just a dream, ancient history
It's all the same we figured out
Ev'ry night I sit here by my window (window)
Starin' at the lonely avenue (avenue)
Watching lovers holdin' hand 'n' laughin' (laughin')
And thinkin' 'bout the things we used to do
(Thinkin' of things) Like a walk in the park
(Things) Like a kiss in the dark
(Things) Like a sailboat ride
(Yeah-yeah) What about the night we cried?
Things like a lover's vow
Things that we don't do now
Thinkin' 'bout the things we used to do
Memories are all I have to cling to (cling to)
And heartaches are the friends I'm talkin' to (talkin' to)
When I'm not thinkin' of-a just how much I love you (love you)
Well, I'm-a thinkin' 'bout the things we used to do
I still can hear the jukebox softly playin' (playin')
And the face I see each day belongs to you (belongs to you)
Though there's not a single sound and there's nobody else around
Well, it's-a just me thinkin' of the things we used to do
And the heartaches are the friends I'm talkin' to
Ya got me thinkin' 'bout the things we used to do
we have to wait for things to come
but we don´t know
what we´re looking for
we have to wait for things to come
but we don´t know
Here comes the thunder,
and here comes the fear.
Another year she wonders
why is she still here?
"Boys will be boys," she thinks,
"what can ever come of this?
I've tried so hard to makes this work
but nothing ever seems to fit..."
So many explanations
and so little resolve.
A shudder at the slightest inkling
that you should get involved.
"oh, but I'm alright," she cried,
"I just feel a little compromised.
When I was a little girl,
I never had to try.."
(Is that all you want?
Is that all you need?)
Look at all these things we own,
Look at all the things we own
you know these things don't make a home.
Here comes the thunder
and here comes the fear,
another year he wonders,
"why is she still here?
oh, but girls will be girls," he thinks,
"what will ever come of this?

On fire now!
I love to stand up in corners
With thugs, holdin' it down
Or be in golf courses
Sippin' on somethin' poly and contract
Love to floss heavy with shine for that ass
I love to hit and drop bombs right on top of that ass
Wassup
I like to watch my whole crew break bread
We thug marraige, select chicks
Give me this head

Not whips, it's just some of the wild shit
That I be lovin' to do
Wassup
Girl it's gettin' 'round
Heard you wanna get down
Find out for yourself
How I really put it down
And maybe since you're curious
Take a ride and find out what
I do to make you fall
Deep in love
It's the things I do
The things I do, the
Diamonds I wear, the
Bentley, I drive
And the things I do
When we're makin' love
The things I do, the
Diamonds I wear, the
Bentley, I drive
And the things I do
When we're makin' love
One night
Is all I need to make you see
Two nights
Why don't you come home with me
And I'll give you everything your body needs
Mya, Mya, Mya, Mya
I want you to see
Lemme get my handcuffs
Baby put your hands up
Lemme get my blindfold
Gotta keep your eyes closed
We got all night
Comin' three or four times
So many things I wanna do
The things I do, the
Diamonds I wear, the
Bentley, I drive
And the things I do
When we're makin' love
The things I do, the
Diamonds I wear, the
Bentley, I drive
And the things I do
When we're makin' love
Yeah, I like to keep heads guessin'
Give 'em a test and
Blow they whole mind if I find 'em interestin'
Best in the business
Lyrics came as a blessin'
Why you be on the block
Tryna guess who I'm sexin'
Cool type of mami like Thug Castradami
Take a few years to get near the punani
Now, see me with a apple or vanilla Martini
While I get the biggest kicks
Outta chicks tryna be me
(So many things) so many things, so many things
(So many things) so many things, oh yes we are
(So many things) so many things, so many things
(So many things) so many things, so many things
The things I do, the
Diamonds I wear, the
Bentley, I drive
And the things I do
When we're makin' love
The things I do, the
Diamonds I wear, the
Bentley, I drive
And the things I do
When we're makin' love
Lemme get my handcuffs
Baby put your hands up
Lemme get my blindfold
Gotta keep your eyes closed
We got all night
Comin' three or four times
So many things I wanna do
The things I do, the
Diamonds I wear, the

And the things I do
CeCe
All I wanna' be is all that I am (that's okay)
And all I wanna' get is all that I can (but that's unfair)
If you have it all and you lose it all don't lose yourself (there just things)
BeBe
Fame is like a drug and money brings pride (it can kill)
It can dress you up while your hurting inside (and it will)
Finally on the list, maybe now your "it" and no one can tell
All the pain that you hide with those...
CHORUS
Things (yeah)
Yet their only just things (it's what they are)
Cars and diamond rings (their just)
Things (things)
Such a fuss about things (what the fuss, can you show me what...)
Love they bring...
CeCe
What love they bring
BeBe
Now that I arrive ayyy what do I do (I don't know)
Living on a hill yeah changes my view (ain't it so)
And everything I want, everything I see, that's not what I need, yeah (their just things)
CeCe
No, nothing money buy, can make it all real (that's a fact)
When I look around, can't help what I feel (
Got a lot of stuff and when I add it up, tell me what does it mean
'Cause it don't bring me love of those...
CHORUS
Things (no, no)
Yeah their only just things (that's what they are)
Cars and diamond rings (but ya' can't bring love)
Things (oh no)
Such a fuss about things (can you show me what...)
Love they bring...
BeBe- Now you can turn it on, with the clothes you wear
CeCe- But when you take it off, is the loneliness (there is it still there?)
Unison- Your money, my money may take you where you wanna go
BeBe- But in the darkness of the night
CeCe- He's the only one who knows (just! )
CHORUS
Things (oh things)
Yeah their only just things (it's what they are) (oh yeah, yeah)
Cars and diamond rings (what shall we say to these things)
Things
Such a fuss about things (if God is for me...) (Can you show me what...)
Love they bring... (He's better than anything else in the whole wide world)
Let's talk about things your goin' through (hay! ) (talk about it)
Talk about things you wanna do (if I seek him first, it's gonna get better not worse)
Talk about things that make you smile (He'll add these things)
I like to take things one step at a time
One foot in front of the other
I like to think things will all work out fine
And follow along behind those
One act play-things can give you a thrill
Guess it depends on the actor
Dreams can come true, but some things never will
As a matter of fact, those things are driving me crazy
Those things are keeping me sane
I like to take things and make a design
Keep a low profile. Oh and
I like to take things and put them to rhyme
Like those things that are confusing
And the things that seem so clear
And the things that seem so far away
And yet they seem so near
There are some things I have lost
And a few things I have found
Weel it's so hard to keep track of things
There's so many around
There's so many around
And there's things we have to look for
And a few we never find
And we all have things in common
You got your thing, I've got mine
And some things they just happen
And some things you can plan
And some of those things you just can't help
But some of them you can
Oh, some of them you can
As a matter of fact, those things
Are driving me crazy
Those things are keeping me sane
Some things turn out all wrong
And some things turn out all right
Some things don't turn out at all
But then again they might
There are things that come too soon
And some things that come too late
It's the best thing to come too early
So you have some time to wait
Oh, have some time to wait
Well it's hard to talk with words
There's some things you just can't say
And it's best to leave some things alone
In case they go away
You can share some things with friends
There's some things we've all been thru'
Well it's things like this and things like that
And how are things with you?
Oh, how do you do?
You can hang things on your wall
You can leave your things around
You can mark some things 2001, and put them in the ground
And maybe later on, they will dig them up some day
And ooh and ahh, and 'how 'bout that?'
Ev'ry night I sit here by my window (window)
Starin' at the lonely avenue (avenue)
Watching lovers holdin' hands 'n' laughin' (laughin')
And thinkin' 'bout the things we used to do
CHORUS
(Thinkin' of things) Like a walk in the park
(Things) Like a kiss in the dark
(Things) Like a sailboat ride
(Yeah-yeah) What about the night we cried?
Things like a lover's vow
Things that we don't do now
Thinkin' 'bout the things we used to do
Memories are all I have to cling to (cling to)
And heartaches are the friends I'm talkin' to (talkin'
When I'm not thinkin' of-a just how much I love you (love
you)
Well, I'm-a thinkin' 'bout the things we used to do
CHORUS
I still can hear the jukebox softly playin' (playin')
And the face I see each day belongs to you (belongs to
you)
Though there's not a single sound and there's nobody else
around
There are things that make me mad
You are not one of them
There are things that make me sad
But you are not one of them
There are things that make me, dad
Well, talk to me
Whisper in my ear
Be quiet
Don't let anyone else hear
Don't you think they want me for it?
Can't you see they arrested me for it?
I just hope they don't need me for it
Birds and bees will soon be falling now
We found out
We found out
We found out
Wrong direction
Silly alien
Made a promise
To a young man
We all love
We are not proud of that
We all wish we had a silly hat
Johnny and Clyde will dance with me for it
Sarah and Eileen would kiss me for it
Sue and Joanne will kill me for it
Richard and Larry will pay a lot for it
Malcolm and Alan might have drugged me for it
Every night I sit here by my window (window)
Staring at the lonely avenue (avenue)
Watching lovers holding hands and laughing (laughing)
Thinking about the things we used to do.
(Thinking about things) like a walk in the park
(Things) like a kiss in the dark
(Things) like a sailboat ride (yeah, yeah)
What about the night we cried
Things like a lovers vow
Things that we don't do now
Thinking about the things we used to do.
Well, memories are all I have to cling to (cling to)
And heartaches are the friends I'm talking to (talking to)
When I'm not thinking of just how much I love you
I'm thinking about the things we used to do.
(Thinking about things) like a walk in the park
(Things) like a kiss in the dark
(Things) like a sailboat ride (yeah, yeah)
What about the night we cried
Things like a lovers vow
Things that we don't do now
Thinking about the things we used to do.
I still can hear the jukebox softly playing
The face I see each day belongs to you
There's not a single sound
There's nobody else around
Just me thinking of things we used to do
(Thinking about things) like a walk in the park
(Things) like a kiss in the dark
(Things) like a sailboat ride (yeah, yeah)
What about the night we cried
Things like a lovers vow
Things that we don't do now
Thinking about the things we used to do.
Well, I'm just thinking about the things we used to do.
Walking down the lonely avenue
Every night I sit here by my window, window
Starin' at the lonely avenue, avenue
Watchin' lovers holdin' hands n' laughin', laughin'
And thinkin' 'bout the things we used to do
Thinkin' of things, like a walk in the park
Things, like a kiss in the dark
Things, like a sailboat ride
Yeah, yeah
What about the night we cried?
Things like a lover's vow
Things that we don't do now
Thinkin' 'bout the things we used to do
Memories are all I have to cling to, cling to
And heartaches are the friends I'm talkin' to, talkin' to
When I'm not thinkin' of a just how much I love you, love you
Well, I'ma thinkin' 'bout the things we used to do
Thinkin' of things, like a walk in the park
Things, like a kiss in the dark
Things, like a sailboat ride
Yeah, yeah
What about the night we cried?
Things like a lover's vow
Things that we don't do now
Thinkin' 'bout the things we used to do
I still can hear the jukebox softly playin', playin'
And the face I see each day belongs to you, belongs to you
Though there's not a single sound and there's nobody else around
Well, it's a just me thinkin' of the things we used to do
Thinkin' of things, like a walk in the park
Things, like a kiss in the dark
Things, like a sailboat ride
Yeah, yeah
What about the night we cried?
Things like a lover's vow
Things that we don't do now
Thinkin' 'bout the things we used to do
And the heartaches are the friends I'm talkin' to
You got me thinkin' 'bout the things we used to do
As the rain keeps pouring down, everything's so sad and cold
Learning to live with it all, learning to live with it all
Sometimes it seemes like it all stands still
Sometimes it feels like, my own will
Awaiting it all to come, damaged as life upon
Never will we be free, TORTURED!
All the tears that we've shed, reflecting ourselves within
Pale, white, by myself outburned..
The things we touch makes us feel nothing more than
Than the shiver down our spines
The things we touch makes us feel nothing more than
Than the shiver down our spines
All the tears that we've shed, reflecting our selves within
Pale, white, by myself outburned..
As the rain keeps pouring down, everything's so sad and cold
Learning to live with it all, learning to live with it all
Sometimes it seemes like it all stands still
Sometimes it feels like, my own will
The things we touch makes us feel nothing more than
Than the shiver down our spines
The things we touch makes us feel nothing more than
Elsewhere in the Temple the llamas are gearing up
To assault Tiger Mountain when the sun comes up
We sat around whispering in the candlelight
Trying to get a game plan for the night
Talked about the difference between North and South
Keep your gun in your pocket and your tongue in your mouth
And you'll be doing it
Doing the things
Doing it
Doing the things
The thing you do in Denver when you're dead
A month is a Saturday – Wednesday's a week
I saw the way you looked at her Charlie Brown – good grief
She pulled you into the shadows and taught you how to love
Patted you on the head and gave you a shove
And you were doing it
Doing the things
Doing it
Doing the things
Doing it
Doing the things
The thing you do in Denver when you're dead
The sexual exuberance of a concubine
Checks my carburettor one more time
With the passion of a thoroughbred
and the sensitivity of a moose
I rarely make a move unless I've got some proof
That we'll be doing it
Doing the things
Doing it
Doing the things
Doing it
Doing the things
The thing you do in Denver when you're dead
You live in Paris I live in France
Things are expensive when you live first class
You learn Latin I'll learn Greek
And when you've got a minute we'll meet in Crete
And we'll be doing it
Doing the things
Doing it
Doing the things
Doing it
Doing the things
The thing you do in Denver when you're dead
The thing you do in Denver when you're dead
Doing it in Denver when you're dead
Doing it in Denver when you're dead

Things just aren't the way they used to be
Things I thought I remembered well look different now to me
For adult eyes can sure surprise a childhood memory
No things just ain't the way they used to be.
The windows at the school don't seem as tall
As I remember neither do the fountains in the hall
And that fifth grade teacher really wasn't terrible at all
No things just ain't the way they used to be.
The playground doesn't seem as big somehow
And I could put a ball right through the office window now
And I know now why chewin' gum in school was not allowed
No things just ain't the way they used to be.
Butch Carter used to keep us kids afraid
He'd bust the lip of any kid who dared get in his way
I wish old Butch were standin' here in front of me today
'Cause things just ain't the way they used to be.
I wish I could have grown into the man
That I pictured as a child and fill those childhood plans
I'd do it right if only I could live my life again
But things just ain't the way they used to be.
Forbiden now these unfamiliar streets
Places momma told me I should never set my feet
Well, today I know exactly where those streets and alleys lead
'Cause things just ain't the way they used to be.
Buck Painter is no longer unemployed
Uncle Dick has simmered down with age and rarely gets annoyed
And now I see Butch Carters' gone to workin' for the Lord
No things just ain't the way they used to be.
No things just ain't the way they used to be...
Parties,
Movies
Candy, toys,
Clothes, shopping,
Music, boys,
Flowers, beaches,
Mom and Dad
These here things
Make me glad
I hate Players
Cheaters
Suckers, liars
Boys who smoke
And go start fires
Can't stand school
Or when the weather's bad
These here things
Make me sad
I like things
That make me glad
I don't like things
That make me sad
Life is lived
And time goes by
The stars still shine
Up in the sky
I love my man
He's the best
His hugs, his kisses
All the rest
His touch his voice
He's so fly
These here things
Make me high.
Repeat Chorus
Look at these things that we have here
Make me so happy and they bring me cheer
Boys, movies, and shopping too
My favorite things
Shadowed is the game
Rodent be thy claim
Any open door
Leads to instant things
Make me go away
Take me to a place
Do some things to me
Make me go away
Ancient things design
Make me go away
Over is the game
Captured have you been
Twisted was part two
Ageless is the end
Things we must not do
Must not walk through walls
Also also don't
Do some things we did
Is this thing an oak?
What kind of a tree
This here must be swept
Must do instant things
The smell of blue perfume
Present in design
I've a need to talk
Let us speak of things
Nothing do I know
But loudly do I ring
Also don't
Do some things we did
Things I wanna tell you
How you make me feel
How you look to me
And how good it feels
Things I don't wanna tell you
Every little thing's all right
What I was before
And where I was last night
Always things
All these things
Always things
Things I try to tell you
But come out oh so wrong
Seem to feel pretty good
Seem to last pretty long
Things I don't wanna tell you
Now there ain't no doubt
You lit a fire in me
Can't seem to put out
Always things
All these things
Things I long to tell you
But I don't know how
Things I don't wanna tell you
But I have to now
Packed my things
Things I'm bound to tell you
Like that dress looks great on you
I could use some breathing room
But I'm still in love with you
Things I'd never tell you
Down the line someday
You'll be a song I sing
A thing I give away
Pack my things today
Every night I sit here by my window
Staring at the lonely avenue
Watching lovers holding hands and laughing
And thinking about the things we used to do
(Thinking about things) like a walk in the park
(Things) like a kiss in the dark
(Things) like a sailboat ride
What about that night you cried
(Things) like a lover's vows
(Things) that we don't do now
Thinking bout the things we used to do
Now memories are all I have to cling to
And heartaches are the friends I'm talking to
When I'm not thinking about how much I love you
Well I'm thinking about the things we used to do
(Thinking about things) like walkin' in the park...
Heartaches are the friends I'm talking to
I'm thinking about the things we used to do
Oh staring at that lonely avenue
Things just ain't the way they used to be
Things I thought I remembered well look different now to me
For adult eyes can sure surprise a Childhood memory
No, things just ain't the way they used to be

Well I'm thinking about the things we used to do
I think about things

Like a kiss in the dark (things)
Like a sailboat ride
What about the night we cried (things)
Like a lovers vow (things)
That we don't do now
Thinking about the things we used to do
I still can hear the jukebox softly playing (playing)
And the face I see each day belongs to you (to you)
There's not a single sound
And there's nobody else around
That's just me thinking about the things we used to do
I think about things
Like a walk in the park (things)
Like a kiss in the dark (things)
Like a sailboat ride
What about the night we cried (things)
Like a lovers vow (things)
That we don't do now
Thinking about the things we used to do
I'm thinking about the things we used to do
I'm thinking about the things we used to do
You say
this time we have it love
we have it all now
we found the answer love...
All my time and effort to
find the answers just for you
The thoughts I have in my mind
The things I can't leave behind
Now the sun is hanging low in the sky
It's shining red love,
it's time to call it a day
we are forced to face our demons
and I've been meaning
Every night I sit here by my window
Staring at the lonely avenue
Watching lovers holding hands and laughing
And thinking 'bout the things we used to do.
Chorus:
(Thinking of things)
Like a walk in the park
(Things) like a kiss in the dark
(Things) like a sailboat ride
What about the night we cried.
Things like a lovers vow, things that we don't do now
Thinking 'bout the things we used to do
Memories are all I have to cling to
And heartaches are the friends I'm talking to.
When I'm not thinking of
Just how much I love you
Well, I'm thinking bout the
Things we used to do.
Chorus:
(Thinking of things)
Like a walk in the park
(Things) like a kiss in the dark
(Things) like a sailboat ride
What about the night we cried.
Things like a lovers vow, things that we don't do now
Thinking bout the things we used to do.
Still can hear the jukebox softly playing
And the face I see it still belongs to you.
Now there's not a single sound,
There's nobody else around
Well, it's just me thinking 'bout
The things we used to do.
Chorus:
(Thinking of things)
Like a walk in the park
(Things) like a kiss in the dark
(Things) like a sailboat ride
What about the night we cried.
Things like a lovers vow, things that we don't do now
Thinking bout the things we used to do
And heartaches are the friends I'm talking to
Got me thinking 'bout the things we used to do.
Staring at the lonely avenue
Cover it up
And keep a distance
The anger that burns inside of me
Won't put up with all
Your flaws and mistakes
Or how you take it out on me
Keep telling yourself
That I was wrong here
Believe all the lies he fed to you
'Cause girl if you wanted something sincere
I know that he'll never pull through
Waiting for the day you turn yourself around
Can't stop feeling the things I feel
Locked into something so surreal
You have me going crazy
Have it all wrong
If you think you can walk out on me
You said you're in love
And can't describe it
But has it ever ocurred to you?
While your asleep alone in your bed
He's out all night with someone new
Waiting for the day you turn yourself around
Can't stop feeling the things I feel
Locked into something so surreal
You have me going crazy
Have it all wrong if you think
you can walk out on me
Waiting for the day you turn yourself around
Can't stop feeling the things I feel
Locked into something so surreal
You have me going crazy
Have it all wrong
If you think you can walk out on me
Waiting for the day you turn yourself around
Can't stop feeling the things I feel
Locked into something so surreal
You have me going crazy
Have it all wrong
