A talk show (American and Australian English) or chat show (British) is a television program or radio program where one person (or group of people) discuss various topics put forth by a talk show host.
Sometimes, talk shows feature a panel of guests, usually consisting of a group of people who are learned or who have great experience in relation to whatever issue is being discussed on the show for that episode. Other times, a single guest discusses their work or area of expertise with a host or co-hosts. A call-in show takes live phonecalls from callers listening at home, in their cars, etc. Sometimes, guests are already seated but are often introduced and enter from backstage. Gay Byrne, Steve Allen, Jack Paar, Johnny Carson,, Dick Cavett, Ed Sullivan, Oprah Winfrey, Rush Limbaugh, and Mosunmola Abudu have hosted notable talk shows; in many cases, the shows have made their hosts famous.
Television talk shows often feature celebrity guests who talk about their work and personal lives as well as the their latest films, TV shows, music recordings or other projects they'd like to promote to the public. The hosts are often comedians who open the shows with comedy monologues.

Iko Uwais is an Indonesian actor and martial artist. He is best known as the leading star of the action films Merantau (2009) and The Raid: Redemption (2011).
Born in Jakarta, Indonesia on February 12, 1983, Uwais Qorny (nickname: Iko) is of the Betawi (native Jakartan) descent. He has been learning Indonesian traditional martial art, Pencak Silat, since he was 10 years old at his uncle's Silat school, Tiga Berantai, which uses the distinctive Betawi style of Silat. In 2003, Iko won third place at the Jakarta Provincial Tournament. In 2005, he won first place at the National Silat Championship as the best performer in the demonstration category.

In 2007, Iko's talent was discovered by Welsh movie director, Gareth Evans who was filming a documentary about Silat in Iko's Silat school. Iko's natural charisma and great camera presence encouraged Evans to cast him as the leading role for his first martial art movie, Merantau. After signing a five year contract with Gareth Evans and his production company, Iko resigned from his daytime job as a driver in a telcom company.

Nothings on TV and I don't care, gonna watch a talk show I don't care, all these topics mostly blow my mind, always feel i'm just a step behind and we go, go-go Jenny Jones and Ricky Lake, all these tabloid shows are always fake, how much more of this shit can I bare, listen to the hand but don't go there. (Jerry - "Some of that we can't show on the air"). Nothing left this time when i'm alone, too intense to even answer the phone, make'em over they look like a freak, even though they did it twice last week and we go, go-go Jenny Jones and Ricky Lake, all these tabloid shows are always fake, how much more of this shit can I take.
I sit at home 'cause I'm able
I sing out loud but complain in the same old way
I shake the tree of a fable
She sells me lies but she sings on anyway
I live alone at the stable
Betting twice 'cause the numbers say I'm wrong
I've rolled the tree 'cause I'm able
I've burned the mountain to prove that they all were wrong
What's in a story?
What's in a name?
Who makes you hurry?
What cuts the frame?
John, where have you gone?
We've waited so long, where have you gone?
Has something gone wrong?
We've waited so long, where have you gone?
I sit alone 'cause I'm able
I live out life but complain in the same old way
I shake the tree that was stable
Once I was a fine man
Until I met the woman
And then she washed me down
And once I was a dry man
Till they took me to a wedding
You know they washed me down
You can wash me
You can wash me down
Heaven has no windows
'Cause heaven has no walls
Because they wash 'em down
The wind blows me in the corner
And it pulls me down the hill
You know it pulls me down, down
You know it throws me down
You can wash me
You can wash me down
You're alone and I am too
You're my idea of a pretty view
You can move or so it seems
I bet we'd make a decent team
I'm not asking for all your time
A song or two would suit me fine
I'm not asking for you to say
that you'll be with me all the way
Shut your mind off for a while
Concentrate on the latest style
And everything's alright
CHORUS
Yes or no
I'll take it fast or slow
I'll make it easy for you to decide
Yes or no
You've got to let it go
Just take a stance
Either dance or tell me no
If you've got somewhere to be
If you've got someone besides me
Let me know don't put me on
If it's not right then I'll be gone
All those dancers can't be wrong
All those answers'd take too long
So tell me tell me now
CHORUS
Painted numbers and sonic slumbers
Fool who thinks he knows it
But can't show the way he really feels
Goodbye wavers and penny savers
Fool who thinks he knows it
But can't show the way he really feels
I hear them laughing
I hear them laughing
All the times have I stumbled before
Growing weeds
Through the holes in the floor
Behind
Planted favors and absent saviors
Fool who thinks he knows it
The whole world is watching me
As I light up the TV screen
My life's a parade
But I've got it made
I hope everyone will see
I want my ratings to go up
I hope you all wish me luck
I'll act like I care
About your welfare
And I'll pretend I'll stay in touch
I want to be on your good side
I've got nowhere else to hide
Everything that you hear
May not be sincere
At least my voice is amplified
I think my credibility has gone away
The colors on your television will turn gray
I'll make a living while i exploit everyone
I never thought this way of life would be so fun
Please come onto my talk show
Who da hell you think you messin' wit
Tryin' to play me like a fool
I overheard a conversation
Between your ex-girlfriend and you
Then I saw it so clearly
Suddenly it all made since
Before you go on explaining yourself
Let me explain my evidence
[CHORUS:]
No that's not my shade of lipstick
Or my scratch marks on your back
Is it her that you wanna be with
You got me involved in some talk show shit
I made the bed before work this mornin'
Come home later and there's new sheets on it
Your gonna lose the one your with
You got me involved in some talk show shit
I felt like you was hiding something
When you started showering alone
And someone used my Chanel perfume
Since this moment when I left home
You tiptoeing in the bedroom
While your thinking i'm asleep
If I catch your ass in one more lie
I'll be telling you to leave
[CHORUS:]
No that's not my shade of lipstick
Or my scratch marks on your back
Is it her that you wanna be with
You got me involved in some talk show shit
He say, she say
You got our business all up in the streets cheatin'
He say, she say
Everyone knows us like we're on t.v.
I made the bed before work this mornin'
Come home later and there's new sheets on it
Your gonna lose the one your with
You got me involved in some talk show shit
No that's not my shade of lipstick
Or my scratch marks on your back
Is it her that you wanna be with
You got me involved in some talk show shit
I made the bed before work this mornin'
Come home later and there's new sheets on it
Your gonna lose the one your with
You got me involved in some talk show shit
He say, she say
He say, she say
He say, she say
He say, she say
[CHORUS:]
No that's not my shade of lipstick
Or my scratch marks on your back
Is it her that you wanna be with
You got me involved in some talk show shit
Once I was a fine man
Until I met the woman
And then she washed me down
And once I was a dry man
Till they took me to a wedding
You know they washed me down
You can wash me
You can wash me down
Heaven has no windows
'Cause heaven has no walls
Because they wash 'em down
The wind blows me in the corner
And it pulls me down the hill
You know it pulls me down, down
You know it throws me down
You can wash me
End of the world's coming
Because I broke your heart
End of the world's coming
Before I got a start
End of the world's coming
Because we've gone to far
End of the world's coming
'Cause I thought I was a star
End of the world's coming
And I've forgotten to confess
Now they've saving all the rest
Good Mary bless my soul now
'Cause you know God the best
You know God the best
And you know God the best
And I can see it coming
Moods are growing dark
TV says it's not coming
But we know who they are
End of the world's coming
'Cause I use it everyday
End of the world's coming
Broken records play
Shoes left out all day
Trips were started, left departed
To rise another day
Sing a wish for free
Pays the rent for me
Sun's reflection needs reception
To rise another day
Everybody loves my car
Everybody loves my car
Plant the seed decay
I long to move away
Shoot the gun, now let me run
To rise another day
Living out of time is the best for me
Freedom in my head fills the rest of me
I wish, I could write a song just for you
I don't know how
It's when you're away, these walls show years
I do know why
One hundred eyes have opened on you
Where do you sleep?
It's when I'm alone at the end of your feet
I do know why
Tomorrow it's better
To know you have said
Tomorrow show something
Else instead
Remember the dream you told me you had?
Now, was it me?
It's when I'm awake with a shrug at the day
The sun will shine
How many knees have prayed in this house?
Now, was it me?
When I was away, just before time
I let them all
Fill the fields, fill the noise
You've shown better than this before
Fill the fields, fill the noise
She has the smile of perfect splendor
She'll let you think that you can win her
Broken beauty wearing super glue
She lies so good and she believes them too
Hello, hello, hello, hello
She's got a checkered reputation
Lives two lives in syncopation
Fractured fairy on the funny page
Southern belle she's on a northern stage
Hello, hello, hello, hello
She has it right, she lives two lives
Say the list is long, call the missing song
I wouldn't wanna tell you
How much you make me feel
I wouldn't wanna make
You feel uncomfortable
Only wanna tell you
How much you make me feel
But I wouldn't wanna make
You feel uncomfortable
I got a feeling we're holding back the tide
I got a feeling we may never show
All the love we hide, will soon be mine
Long time ago
I wouldn't wanna tell you
How much you make me feel
I wouldn't wanna make
You feel invulnerable
Only wanna tell you
How much you make me feel
But I wouldn't wanna make
You feel invulnerable
What I feel is, what I fear Is

She seems so far away
She could sleep through World War III
And if they ever start
I'd rather be that girl than me
The first part of the day
She is pleasantly sedated
She says she likes to go
Where the hate is separated
Reality's overrated
Soda pop religion on line
I must remain in dreamland
Just to have a regular life
She lives, she lives
Morning girl she is
Never seen the morning star
Never heard me slam the door
She must be dreaming good, yeah
(d. coutts)
Can't stand the grocery store
Are there orchards anymore
Blow up the breakwater
Still water breeds disease
You got what you want
Give us back the trees
If I gotta live here I gotta breathe
Peeling an orange I am expecting great sweetness
Peeling an orange, yes I am very optimistic
Sometimes the acid stings my eyes
Building a house from mud
'cause it's already dead
I think of her when she's smiling
When she alone inside my head
You got what you want,
Give her back to me
If she's gonna be free,
Everybody wants an invitation
Ring twice, evidently no one?s home
Sweaty maple like a meditation
Ring twice evidently no one?s home
Mesh rhyme with reason is a notary stone
Best time of season is when nobody?s home
Every time I get less, I want more
Every time I get less, than
Everybody wants a celebration
Ring twice evidently, no one?s home
Grain of salt is like a purification
Seaside, everybody omits time to go
Ring high evidently starts the show
Meantime, everybody commits try and try
Fly by, setting it back, works the go
Seaside, everybody commits
Meantime, everybody omits
Seaside, everybody commits
Meantime, everybody omits
Settle down you know, you got a ways to go
Moving slowly gets you by
Settle down now, you'll be around now
After all your flowers die
Trees grow from the silence
Of the earth and never speak
Thoughts that come from
Underneath are pure and never weak
And you have lived for so long
You have lived for so long
Have regrets you will, it's only natural
Have them till the day you die
Having doubts now, you'll come about now
