Typhoon Hagupit: Bagyong Ruby Storm Surge Leyte And Southern Samal
Typhoon Ruby to bear down on 19 areas in Visayas, Luzon
State meteorologists identified on Thursday 19 critical areas that will be affected by Typhoon Ruby (Hagupit) when it passes through the Philippines over the weekend.
At a press briefing with President Benigno Aquino III and the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) on Thursday, PAGASA said that the following areas are expected to be hardest hit by the typhoon:
Areas Affected : Aklan, Albay, Antique, Biliran, Capiz, Cebu, Eastern, Samar, Iloilo, Leyte, Marinduque, Masbate, Northern, Samar, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan,
Quezon, Romblon, Samar, Sorsogon,
Other areas expected to be affected by Typhoon Ruby are Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Bohol, Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental, Tarlac, Zambales, Pampanga, Bulacan, Bataan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Camarines Norte, Camariner Sur, and Catanduanes.
