New England is a region in the northeastern corner of the United States consisting of the six states of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. New England is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, Canada (the Canadian Maritimes and Quebec) and the state of New York.
In one of the earliest English settlements in North America, Pilgrims from England first settled in New England in 1620, to form Plymouth Colony. Ten years later, the Puritans settled north of Plymouth Colony in Boston, thus forming Massachusetts Bay Colony. Over the next 130 years, New England fought in four French and Indian Wars, until the British defeated the French and their native allies in North America. In the late 18th century, the New England Colonies initiated the resistance to the British Parliament's efforts to impose new taxes without the consent of the colonists. The Boston Tea Party was a protest that angered Great Britain, which responded with the "Intolerable Acts", stripping the colonies of self-government. The confrontation led to open warfare in 1775, the expulsion of the British from New England in spring 1776, and the Declaration of Independence in July 1776.
England i/ˈɪŋɡlənd/ is a country that is part of the United Kingdom. It shares land borders with Scotland to the north and Wales to the west; the Irish Sea is to the north west, the Celtic Sea to the south west, while the North Sea to the east and the English Channel to the south separate it from continental Europe. Most of England comprises the central and southern part of the island of Great Britain in the North Atlantic. The country also includes over 100 smaller islands such as the Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Wight.
The area now called England was first inhabited by modern humans during the Upper Palaeolithic period, but it takes its name from the Angles, one of the Germanic tribes who settled during the 5th and 6th centuries. England became a unified state in AD 927, and since the Age of Discovery, which began during the 15th century, has had a significant cultural and legal impact on the wider world. The English language, the Anglican Church, and English law—the basis for the common law legal systems of many other countries around the world—developed in England, and the country's parliamentary system of government has been widely adopted by other nations. The Industrial Revolution began in 18th-century England, transforming its society into the world's first industrialised nation. England's Royal Society laid the foundations of modern experimental science.
Stephen William Bragg (born 20 December 1957) – known as Billy Bragg – is an English alternative rock musician and left-wing activist. His music blends elements of folk music, punk rock and protest songs, and his lyrics mostly deal with political or romantic themes. His music career has lasted more than 30 years.
Bragg was born in 1957 in Barking, Essex, the son of Dennis Frederick Austin Bragg, an assistant sales manager to a Barking cap and hat maker, and his wife, Marie Victoria D'Urso. Bragg was educated at Barking Abbey Secondary School in Barking.
In 1977, Bragg formed the punk rock/pub rock band Riff Raff, and toured London's pubs and clubs. The band released a series of singles, which did not receive wide exposure. He also worked in Guy Norris Records in Barking. Bragg became disillusioned with his music career, and in May 1981 joined the British Army as a recruit destined for the Queen's Royal Irish Hussars of the Royal Armoured Corps. After three months, he bought his way out of the army for £175 and returned home, having attended basic training but having never served in a regiment as a soldier.
Eric Andre Allen (born November 22, 1965) is a former professional American football cornerback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints, and Oakland Raiders from 1988 to 2001.
A six-time Pro Bowl selection, Allen retired from football after the 2001 season and is currently an NFL analyst for ESPN. Allen played college football at Arizona State.
Allen was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the 1988 NFL Draft.
Allen played seven seasons for the Eagles, three seasons for the New Orleans Saints, and four seasons for the Oakland Raiders. While with the Eagles he was a very popular player with the "Gang Green" Defense, playing with NFL greats Reggie White, Seth Joyner, and Wes Hopkins. He is the only NFL player to run back three or more interceptions for scores in two separate seasons.
Calais Campbell (born September 1, 1986 in Denver, Colorado) is an American football defensive end for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. He played college football at the University of Miami.

Widely regarded as one of the nations top defensive end prospects, he was ranked the number 10 strongside defensive end by Rivals.com and number 7 overall defensive end by Scout.com. He amassed a state-record total of 57 sacks in his career at South High School. Campbell also starred on the school's basketball team. Averaging 22.7 points (fourth best in Colorado), 16.0 rebounds per game (led the state) and 3.3 blocks per game, Campbell was an All-State basketball selection as a junior.[citation needed] He chose Miami over Colorado State, Nebraska, Louisiana State, Michigan, Oklahoma, and San Diego State.

In house and health
Make a little bit, break a little bit
In skint and wealth
Weep a little bit, keep a little bit
In book and pen
Up another rung, down another rung
And now and then you fall
And I break to you the news
It's as bad as it seems
And so they kick and punch and scratch
And I shrink a little bit
They spread the net to catch
But I know
But that England is my home
But my heart is forever travelling
Yes that England is my home
But my heart is forever travelling
Proud that England is my home
But my heart is forever travelling
In North and South
Give a little bit, take a little bit
In keeping out
Change a little law, hate a little more
In sight and sound
Fight another war, close another door
In private ground you live
And I break to you the news
It's as bad as it seems
And if you raise your voice to shout
And I have a little bit
It's time that you got out
But no I have no doubt
But that England is my home
But my heart is forever travelling
Yes that England is my home
But my heart is forever travelling
Proud that England is my home
But my heart is forever travelling
And I break the news to you
It's as bad as it seems
So they kick, punch, scratch
Shrink a little bit
They spread the net to catch
But I know
But that England is my home
But my heart is forever travelling
Yes that England is my home
But my heart is forever travelling
Proud that England is my home
But my heart is forever travelling
See, I come from Boston.
I'm gonna tell you about how I love New England.
It's my favorite place.
I've been all around the world, but I love New England
best.
I might be prejudiced.
But it's true, I love New England best.
Well, now...
You know, ladies and gentlemen, I've already been to
Paris, I already been to Rome
And what did I do but miss my home?
I have been out west to Californ'.
But I miss the land where I was born.
I can't help it.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.
I have seen old Israel's arid plain.
It's magnificent, but so's Maine.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.
Doddly-doodly-do-do-doo-do-do
Doddly-doodly-do-do-doo-do-do
Doddly-doodly-do-do-doo-do-do
Doddly-doodly-do-do-doo-do-do Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-
dum-day
Oh, I love New England.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Don't Ever Wanna Lose Ya
New England
You're driving home in a downpour
Can't wait for you to walk through the door
The rain is beating on my brain
As the look on my face stays the same
Don't ever wanna lose ya (3x's)
And when I hear a speedy siren
My heart gets so still just like dying
Do anything to get you home safe
Where could you be it's getting so late
repeat chorus.

I was twenty one years when I wrote this song
I'm twenty two now, but I won't be for long
People ask when will you grow up to be a man
But all the girls I loved at school
Are already pushing prams
I loved you then as I love you still
Tho I put you on a pedestal
They put you on the pill
I don't feel bad about letting you go
I just feel sad about letting you know
I don't want to change the world
I'm not looking for a new England
I'm just looking for another girl
I don't want to change the world
I'm not looking for a new England
I'm just looking for another girl
I loved the words you wrote to me
But that was bloody yesterday
I can't survive on what you send
Every time you need a friend
I saw two shooting stars last night
I wished on them but they were only satellites
Is it wrong to wish on space hardware
I wish, I wish, I wish you'd care
I don't want to change the world
I'm not looking for a new England
I'm just looking for another girl
Well Kyle cannot grow one
It sure takes one to know one
And so on, and so on, and so...
On a cinderblock I'm gleaming
As if inside a painting
Well our hearts feel open and loud...
Staring at a cactus
With the murder of a sunset
How it was pleading, and seeping, and mountains
flattening
Into two dimensions
The trees, they're allll black now
They look like construction paper cutouts
As the fade lavendar to charcoal.
And oh, stars. Oh, stars. Stars.
Like almost perfect snowflakes
The dusting that these lights make
Weightless, chipped pearls
Drunkenly flung, constellations hung
Where anything is possible
And life it's so incredible
Sure, it's inspring and terrible
But it's mostly wonderful
I do what uncle Kyle says
I'll hug my friends and laugh
Until I pee my pants
and i'll stay up late
___
and i'll fall in love with everyone,
Everything, all at once
All at once, all at once, all at once, all at once

now if you like Camden in North London
we got that spirit here in Allston
now many people ask, "Where you from?"
with a heartfelt smile, i say, "From Boston"
It's June and I'm still wearing my boots
Come soon, back to New England
With its outspread arms
And lost charms
I do understand New England.
Brutal old witch
You near had us this year
Trapped us inside past the point
Of all human behaviour
We got out with our lives
And also this
A secret to take to the grave
And a houseful of mad bliss
It's June and I'm still wearing my boots
Come soon, back to New England
With its outspread arms
And lost charms
I do understand New England.
She's the law,
She's around by above me
She's like a bug in me
She can read my mind
That's the last time I lie
She's like a bug in me
Beautiful witch
Going to seed
Mother to us who just want to be
Left alone in peace
It's June and I'm still wearing my boots
Come soon, back to New England
With its outspread arms
And lost charms
Outspread arms and lost charms
