A people is a plurality of persons considered as a whole, as in an ethnic group or nation. Collectively, for example, Jews are known as "the Jewish people", European Gypsies comprise the bulk of "the Romani people", and Palestinian Arabs have started to be called "the Palestinian people".
Various republics govern, or claim to govern, in the name of the people. Both the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire used the Latin term Senatus Populusque Romanus, (the Senate and People of Rome). This term was fixed to Roman legionary standards, and even after the Roman Emperors achieved a state of total personal autarchy, they continued to wield their power in the name of the Senate and People of Rome. A People's Republic is typically a Marxist or socialist one-party state that claims to govern on behalf of the people. Populism is another umbrella term for various political tendencies that claim to represent the people, usually with an implication that they serve the common people instead of the elite.
The Japanese people (日本人, Nihonjin, Nipponjin?) are a nationality originating in the Japanese archipelago and are the predominant ethnic group of Japan. Worldwide, approximately 130 million people are of Japanese descent; of these, approximately 127 million are residents of Japan. People of Japanese ancestry who live in other countries are referred to as nikkeijin (日系人?). The term ethnic Japanese may also be used in some contexts to refer to a locus of ethnic groups including the Yamato, Ainu and Ryukyuan people.
The Japanese language is a Japonic language that is sometimes treated as a language isolate; it is also related to the Ryukyuan languages, and both are suggested to be part of the proposed Altaic language family. The Japanese language has a tripartite writing system using Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. Domestic Japanese people use primarily Japanese for daily interaction. The adult literacy rate in Japan exceeds 99%.
Japanese religion has traditionally been syncretic in nature, combining elements of Buddhism and Shinto. Shinto, a polytheistic religion with no book of religious canon, is Japan's native religion. Shinto was one of the traditional grounds for the right to the throne of the Japanese imperial family, and was codified as the state religion in 1868 (State Shinto was abolished by the American occupation in 1945). Mahayana Buddhism came to Japan in the sixth century and evolved into many different sects. Today the largest form of Buddhism among Japanese people is the Jōdo Shinshū sect founded by Shinran.[citation needed]

The term black people is used in some socially-based systems of racial classification for humans of a dark-skinned phenotype, relative to other racial groups represented in a particular social context. Different societies apply different criteria regarding who is classified as "black", and often social variables such as class and socio-economic status also play a role, so that relatively dark-skinned people can be classified as white if they fulfill other social criteria of "whiteness" and relatively light-skinned people can be classified as black if they fulfill the social criteria for "blackness" in a particular setting.
As a biological phenotype being "black" is often associated with the very dark skin colors of some people who are classified as "black". But, particularly in the United States, the racial or ethnic classification also refers to people with all possible kinds of skin pigmentation from the darkest through to the very lightest skin colors, including albinos, if they are believed by others to have African ancestry, or to exhibit cultural traits associated with being "African-American". As a result, in the United States the term "black people" is not an indicator of skin color but of socially based racial classification.
Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) was an American clergyman, activist, and prominent leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. He is best known for his role in the advancement of civil rights in the United States and around the world, using nonviolent methods following the teachings of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. King has become a national icon in the history of modern American liberalism.
A Baptist minister, King became a civil rights activist early in his career. He led the 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott and helped found the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) in 1957, serving as its first president. King's efforts led to the 1963 March on Washington, where King delivered his "I Have a Dream" speech. There, he established his reputation as one of the greatest orators in American history.
In 1964, King became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his work to end racial segregation and racial discrimination through civil disobedience and other nonviolent means. By the time of his death in 1968, he had refocused his efforts on ending poverty and stopping the Vietnam War.
Plot
The Sugar Beat is a film about the contemporary economic predicament. Through a series of vignettes the narrative, a fabric woven from the thoughts of the people in the film itself, flows geographically through Bend, Oregon; Missoula, Montana; Havre, Montana; East Grand Forks, Minnesota; and many places in between as the director/producer travels the American countryside by bicycle. Philosophies of travel, struggle, life, and optimism are shared by everyday people, while the realities of homelessness, protest, consumer culture, locked-out labor, and seasonal labor form a backdrop for the viewer to juxtapose his/her own experiences. The Sugar Beat focuses attention on what is often overlooked and finds its context in the youthful upheaval being levied on the status quo of the world around.
People fly
people flee
people clam and say "It wasn't me"
people fish
people beef
people arm to the teeth
yes, you've got people on the tube,
walking on the moon
people at the bottom of the sea
people in tombs
people in igloos
even a tribe of pygmies
People are the main spring
turning the world around
people, they're the main spring
spinning this world upside down
People sun
people toast
people tire while other people smoke
people bowl
people rock
people pay to see two people box
Watch me, face me
dress me, baby me
phone me, wire me
house me
bug me
fire me
People are the main spring
spinning the world around
people, they're the main spring
Chorus
If you love
You know you're gonna feel the hurt
See the flowers
Growin' from the muddy earth
You never see the sun
You're never gonna feel the rain
With your life under glass
In the middle lane
You'll never feel the joy
Never feel the pain
Chorus
Try to build a house on top of the highest tree
It's dangerous and a bit risky
But what about the view
See the clouds and the mountains too
Chorus
Get your hands dirty
Get a little insane
Come out and play with me
Barefoot in the rain
If you love
You know you're gonna feel the hurt
(feel the joy, feel the pain)
See the flowers
Growin' from the muddy earth
(you see the sun and then you see the rain)
You never see the sun
You're never gonna feel the rain
With your life under glass
In the middle lane
You'll never feel the joy
Never feel the pain
If you love
You know you're gonna feel the hurt
(feel the joy, feel the pain)
See the flowers
Growin' from the muddy earth
(you see the sun and then you see the rain)
If you love
You know you're gonna feel the hurt
Growin' from the muddy earth
(feel the joy, feel the pain)
Never feel the pain
(you see the sun and then you see the rain)
I know people that try, people that don't
People that fly to the air, just flow, like smoke.
I know people that choke
People that's rich, know people that's broke,
Know people that love, people that hate,
Some tell you that your good,
Some tell you you're doing great!
Hey, I know people can't wait,
They wanna hear every single thing I gotta say.
Some people act cool, some act phony,
People know your friends, but they'll never be your homie
I know people think they know me
Cause I'm lame and untalented, old me
Girls wanna own me, labels wanna clone me
Haters wanna choke me, stoners wanna smoke weed
People never gonna change,
Cause no two people are the same
[Chorus:]
We, we are just two people
What more can we do,
Give me one more day,
I'mma spend it with you,
With you
I can't complain, how people know my name
But when come back home, not a damn thing change
I bet people can't believe,
Some after the money,
Some under the greed
If you're showing love, then you're cool with me,
I'm the same old dude, before the jewelry
And everything is kinda new to me,
Things ain't nothing like they use to be
People thought I wouldn't
Some people probably thought i could
Some people think the boy turned hollywood
Living up every day, work well,
dudes run away when they see the girl smile.
I'm glad I get to call her mine
Its the type of thing so hard to find
You can't tell a star. to shine, or a car to fly
shits going to happen its just all in time
[Chorus:]
We, we are just two people
What more can we do,
Give me one more day,
I'mma spend it with you,
With you
when your dealing with somebody and you dont know what to do
they might not understand you cause they see you on the move
girl this dinners over im trying to get you to my room
cause ive been going crazy baby you dont have a clue
[Chorus:]
We, we are just two people
What more can we do,
Give me one more day,
I'mma spend it with you,
I can wake up to a bad day
I know how to go from there
But you, I can?t handle
It?s not that you?re not welcome
You?re amazing in my eyes
It?s me who'd change too much around you
You are one of those people
I can think of a million reasons
And times when I should shut my mouth
But I feel like a fool around you
You are one of those people
That just ain't good for everyone
I have nothing against you people
But I don?t like what I become
We will never know each other
It?s not much to cry about
But when I get so strange around you
Might be something to work out
You are one of those people
That just ain't good for everyone
I have nothing against you people
People figure it out, you're just a reflection,
Of all you're allowed to be.
People moving around a single illusion,
To keep you from falling down.
Don't just do what you're told,
Go and try it out or...
People unable to rise, take it or leave it,
There's little to jeapordise.
People what does it matter? You sit doing nothing,
Just getting as fat as you can.
Don't just do what you're told,
Go and try it out or...
Ahhhhhh.......
People living through doubt, it's hardly an option,
To hope it just all works out.
Don't just do what you're told,
Go and try it out or...
Everybody knows this song
But why did it take so long
Now your children they are grown
Wearing makeup and cologne
Working's tired out your eyes
Yeah drinking milkshakes, eating fries
Grease your hair down, polish up your shoes
Get a girlfriend, take her to the zoo
Check your balance, paycheck's coming through
Something's going on my friend, it's you
Days are turning into years
What a wonderful career
Now your children they are grown
And your wife is all alone
It's time to find out where you're at
Cuz we don't want no heart attack
People yeah of my world yeah yeah yeah
People yeah of the world yeah yeah yeah
The party's packed so step back while i rap
I can't control myself i have to open my trap
So people of the world co-operate with me
The d.o.n.b.o. double ess the ice
Crowd pleaser also the sucker teaser
Don't be one of those stick with me because he's a
Looser yeah and we're here to win
I'm gonna stop now for the chorus it's your turn to begin
People yeah of my world yeah yeah yeah
People yeah of the world yeah yeah yeah
Tickery tock we can't stop the clock
The party will be over soon it's time to rock
And roll but don't forget ya soul
To rock ya need ya soul at sixty four years old
Come on wobble up and wiggle it and flobbe it too
Bump it up and slide it yo jack it smooth
Now girls grab a guy, guys grab a girl
Enjoy the party people of my world
Every kinda people
Every kinda people dance
Every kinda people
People yeah of my world yeah yeah yeah
People yeah of the world yeah yeah yeah
I'm back ice mc is here to roll
And my mission is to put into ya body some soul
And make ya feel good because the beat is sweet
This is something to dance to make you move ya feet
cause when ya come into the party you come in to
Have some fun and there are lots of girls all
Colours and shapes for everyone
So don't loaf sunny and grab a hold of the groove
Fandabidose lyrics just to make ya move
Every kinda people
Every kinda people dance
People, people who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world
We're children needing other children
And yet, letting our grown up pride
Hide all the need inside
Acting more like children than children
Lovers, are very special people
They're the luckiest people in the world
With one person
One very special person
A feeling deep in your soul says
You were half, now you're whole
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person who needs people
People who need people
I'm forever struck
By the people in this town
And the way they go about their world
Have they given up
All the fun they used to have in adolescent xanadu
Everything is too much time and trouble
They must be seen as being respectable
They're too busy with their social climbing
Waiting for a rise
Chorus.
Why can't people just be people
When they were young
They would wish for the summer evenings that would never end
Now the day's too long
And the key to life is locked away in childhood memories
Some people judge a man as reasonable
If the wine he buys is seasonable
They've time for friendship if it's advantageous
And causes no pain
Chorus:
Why are people so deceitful
Why can't people just be people
There is more to the world
Than is offered by the soap and war found on the tv screen
And there is more to this life
If you would only take the time to look within and find the key
Don't believe words when they're superficial
Don't put your trust in values artificial
Let your heart do the talking for a little
And feel yourself shine
Chorus:
Why can't people trust in people
Why can't people just be people
Find the time and you'll realise
Life isn't too much time and trouble
(Jule Styne/Bob Merrill)
People
People who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world
We're children needing other children
And yet, letting our grown up pride
Hide all the need inside
Acting more like children than childrenPeople
God's children
Were born to be free
To love
All people have a dream
For peace, for security
Let the world fall in love again
Please, please, let our lies not be in vain
Lovers are very special people
They're the luckiest people in the world
With one person
One very special person
A feeling deep in your soul says
You were half, now you're whole
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person who needs people

Some people say, that I don't get along, when I keep on going this way, some people say that there will be a time when I have to stay, they say that I walk on the wrong way, they say that they know which way to go, they say that I should wait for another day, but I say that I don't wait for another day, but I don't care what they say, they say that I should look out for another way, they say that they know what's best for me, they say that this biz is no place for me to be, they say that they see what I see, they say that it ain't reality, they say that I'm lost in a dream, that I'm just swimming with the stream, they say that I'm wrong when I think I'm right, they say that I don't see the truth, they say it's the wrong way I move, and if I don't want to slam, I should stay where I am.
I don't care about this piece of advice - advice -, I don't need those lessons in life. This is my point of view, this is my statement, I defend this attack I raise my shield, my lyrical shield that's what I raise and now I'm sure that I'm secure.
I cannot shut my mouth, I cannot close it, I can't keep it closed, I don't wait until my time will come, this is my time, my time runs up, this is our time.
I know which way to go, I know my place to be, I know what I have to do and I do it now, check out what I'm doing, break through. I say that I keep on going this way, I think the time is far away when I've got to stay, I say that I don't go the wrong way, I say that I know my way to go, I don't wait for an other day, I don't look for another way, I only know what's the best for me, I only see what I see, and it's reality, I'm not lost in a dream and I don't swim with the stream.
I don't care about this piece of advice - advice -, I don't need those lessons in life. This is my point of view, this is my statement, I defend this attack, I raise my shield, my lyrical shield is what I raise, now I'm sure that I'm secure,
I can't
Understand
People, ohh
I can't
Understand
People, ohh
And I guess
It's alright
I guess
It's alright
'cause
They can't
Understand
They can't
Understand
I can't handle falling down
Oh no, don't go
You say that sad songs get you down
But you know, they make you grow
And if you give that song a chance
You might just give us a chance and
If there is someone who will stand up
And tell me that love has a reason
You can be the strong one
You can be the word man
People want to hear what they're feeling
On the inside
Please don't be that soft with me
I'm hardcore love
You knock me down with your misery
And I make love to your angry soul
As the coach comes around the bench
I am small but I'm feeling tall
Took two years to get a hit
But now I'm smokin' every day
And if you give that song a chance
You might just give us a chance and
If there's someone who will stand up
And tell me that love has a reason
You can be the strong one
You can be the word man
People want to people want to hear
People want to hear what they're feeling
On the inside
People want to hear what they're feeling
On the inside
People want to hear what they're feeling
On the inside
People want to hear what they're feeling
People,
People who need people,
Are the luckiest people in the world
We're children, needing other children
And yet letting a grown-up pride
Hide all the need inside
Acting more like children than children
Lovers are very special people
They're the luckiest people in the world
With one person one very special person
A feeling deep in your soul
Says you were half now you're whole
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person who needs people
People who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world
With one person one very special person
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person who needs people
People who need people
[Verse 1:]
I put dro in 'gars, put coke in jars
Gotta stay on my toes so I don't do bars
I sip syrup, but if I get sleepy
I put my jewelry in my pocket and I head to my teepee
Got money and power, not a barker or growler
In the game with no ref, but will bury a fouler
Moonlight howler, in a new white Prowler
South Park freestyler, not a police dialer
Make more bread than a deli, burn rubber in belly
Nigga might put it in a peanut butter and jelly
And I get so much head up in H-Town nightclubs
I guess I can honestly say that life sucks
Crib was a mil, that's what it costed
My girl from London called me a cheating bastard
No more broke mon, now 'Los so strong
The world show me more fuckin' love than a slow song
[Chorus:]
People always ask the same question
'Losy why always so high?
If you only knew how I'm stressing
You would surely understand why
[Verse 2:]
I meet a fan and be trippin' how they squeeze my hand
I remember chuggin' Busch and I'd keep the can
Houston bum, all I had was a stupid gun
And 7 black trash bags of aluminum
In the club I be tryna dance
But I look like my gramps when he fell in the plants
And my 'Wela didn't think it was funny
I was tryna hold my laugh down deep in my tummy haha
My whole family get drunk and crunk
Then wake up in the morning like "What the fuck?"
Eyes bloodshot, head hurtin', and whatnot
2 hours later, shootin' pool at the thug spot
25 dudes and about 9 chicks
And they wonder why we always fightin' and shit
I blast you Romans, like the boy Yosemite
Just step if you wanna test my authenticity ahhh
[Chorus:]
People always ask the same question
'Losy why you always so high?
If you only how I'm stressing
You would surely understand why
[Verse 3:]
Me, I'm getting high while my broad getting low
Driving down Martin Luther King very slow
My enemies gon' catch it like the flu
1 2 maybe 3 with the.45'll do
Clean it up, wrap the boy in a sheet
Cuz you can't just leave him all twisted on the street
Some sad some happy, with that girl Jackie
While my cousin at the war tryna help the Iraqi
Livin' under pressure, I pray for the soldier
Right across the street while she laid on the sofa
My best friend's daughter got shot in a drive by
Thank God she lived, but the scars never quite die
Lord help me, tight fist around the clip
I feel I can't breathe I need revenge for this shit
Every time I turn around I'm tested
As I roll another blunt out this ounce I'm blessed with
[Chorus:]
People always ask the same question
'Losy why you always so high?
If you only knew how I'm stressing
You would surely understand why
One time one time, Lord help me
People doing better, people needing more
People writing letters, people get ignored
People saving money and people saving face
CHORUS:
We're needing one reason to live in a world
Where nothing is worthwhile 'til it's gone
You spend your life moving on
People wearing nothing and people wearing out
People scared of something, people live in doubt
People going places and people running home
Those who know what grace is and people disowned
CHORUS
Give me one reason to care anymore
There has got to be a better way
A road that leads to better days
In the back of minds and corners of our eyes lies the
Reason we're alive... I will love you back
I'll love you back
CHORUS
Give me one reason to care anymore
There has got to be a better way
People, People
don't you know you have a voice?
People, People
don't you know you have a choice?
TV screens and corrupt magazines
Man on the radio
Says he knows what you need
Planting seeds that just mislead
can't be taken back
You watch them grow and then you'll know
How much you've been lead
Oh how can you say there's nothing wrong
when it's gone on too long?
People, People
What more can I say?
Let?s get ourselves together
Too much at stake to look away
don't buy him don't bump for her
She's likely to be bought
don't buy her don't bump for him
Power's his only thought
Confusion and disillusion
Proud of your mind
Until a big decision is too hard to find
How can you say there's nothing wrong?
When it's going on too longA
People, People
They said you?d free your mind
People, People
don't you think it's about time?
[solo]
How can you say there's nothing wrong?
When its gone on too long
People, People don't you know you have a voice?
People, People
don't you know you have a choice
People, People
People, people, people
People, People
People
People who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world,
We're children, needing other children
And yet letting our grown-up pride
Hide all the need inside,
Acting more like children
Than children.
Lovers are very special people,
They're the luckiest people
In the world.
With one person, one very special person
A feeling deep in your soul
Says you were half,
Now you're whole.
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person

In the world!
Hey Monday morning,
See what you're missing,
I can't live my life like this boy,
I said hey little lady,
see what you're missing,
I can't get enough of your love,
she goes...out all alone and out on her own
how many times do,
I have to say this,
your match is a light for me babe,
I said hey little lady,
see what you're missing,
I can't get enough of your love,
she goes...out all alone and out on her own
all alone
the people
, change the way you live now,
the people
, change the way you live now,
hey Monday morning,
see what you're missing,
I can't live my life like this boy,
I said hey little lady,
see what you're missing,
I can't get enough of your love,
she goes...out all alone and out on her own
all alone
the people
, change the way you live now,
the people
Everybody's got to have somebody
Everybody's got to have someone
People, people who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world
Children, needing other children
And then letting a grown-up pride
Hide all the need inside
Acting more like children than children
Everybody's got to have somebody
Everybody's got to love someone
Lovers are very special people
They're the luckiest people in the world
If one person, one very special person
With that feeling deep in your soul
Says you were half
When now you're whole
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person
Who needs people
People who need people, yeah
Are the luckiest, luckiest
People in the world
Everybody's got to have somebody
Everybody's got to love somebody
People got to have somebody
People got to have somebody
They're the luckiest people
In the world
With that feeling deep in your soul
Says you were half
When now you're whole
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person
Who needs people
People who need people, yeah
Are the luckiest, luckiest
People in the world
Everybody's got to have somebody
I need me somebody
Got to have somebody
I need me somebody
Got to have somebody

Turning the world around
People, they're the main spring
Spinning this world around
Why, oh why
Do people
Lie?
Where, oh where
Do people
Come from?
When they take you down
And they break you down
Into tiny pieces
As they watch you drown
But I won’t stop
But I won’t stop
But I won’t stop
But I won’t stop
Truth be known
I have died
And reborn
Their control
Won’t trample
My soul
Cause I’ve made of stone
And I’m not alone
I would do it all again
Than to never know
I won’t stop
I won’t stop
I won’t stop
People, people, everywhere,
and all their brains did shrink,
people, people, everywhere,
and not one did think.
Having fun and playing games,
and makinjg noise and losing face,
and reading crap and "living"
and doing work and talking,
and going but not really living.
And no one cares or thinks,
or knows but say they do,
and think they do and want to.
And little kids parade by and people say "Oh how cute"
and the kids don't know and they really don't care,
and they are trying to be older while everyone else wants to be
younger.
Richard Simmons is on tv,
and people laugh and say "how I hate him"
but when everybody likes it they do too.
And everyone looks the same,
but says they're different,
but want to fit in and wish everybody liked them
but say they don't care so that everybody will.
They get in and wait for their germs and pay their parents' money
to buy things their parents wouldn't want them eating.
Then they say "this isn't worth it" but they stay anyway
even when they could be improving the world
but sit and talk and say nothing
and no one cares except them what they think.
Then they get out and say "I'm glad that's over"
but then they come back to visit
because it was the most fun they ever had
except it's what you make of it
and so they decide to make it the most fun they ever had
so they can grow up saying "why isn't my life like that?"
and then they realize you turn into your parents.
People, People who need people Are the luckiest people in the world Were children needing other children And yet letting our grown-up pride Hide all the need inside Acting more like children than children Lovers Are very special people Theyre the luckiest people in the world With one person, One very special person A feeling deep in your soul Says you are half now youre whole No more hunger and thirst But first be a person who needs people People, people who need people Are the luckiest people in the world.
With one person One very special person A feeling deep in your soul Says you are half now youre whole No more hunger and thirst But first be a person who needs people People, people who need people Are the luckiest people in the world.
There are people that fall into my life
Each one can change my world so slightly
And everyone so different yet so much the same
Each and everyone so deep inside me
I love, I hate, I live, I die
For every single day that passes me by
But for all the pain that meets my eyes
I still believe in people
Now I've been called naive just a reckless dreamer
Destined to drown in all my feelings
Yet I keep on smiling through my tears
Juggling wonderment with fear
Just trying to find some meaning
I love, I hate, I live, I die
For every single day that passes me by
But for all the pain that meets my eyes
I still believe in people
Now there are times when I feel like giving it all up
I'll look into myself and see a stranger
Oh and nothing, nothing can seem stranger
But I know I'll come around and like the fool I am
I'll feel this world so much stronger
'Cause that's the way my life lights spins
Until the day it dims, until my life will be no longer
I love, I hate, I live, I die
For every single day that passes me by
But for all the pain that meets my eyes
People, people who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world
We're children needing other children
And yet letting our grownup pride
Hide all the need inside
Acting more like children than children
Lovers are very special people
They're the luckiest people in the world
With one person, one very special person
A feeling deep in your soul
Says you are half, now you're whole
No more hunger and thirst
First be a person who needs people
People, people who need people
Hey Monday morning,
See what you're missing,
I can't live my life like this boy,
I said hey little lady,
see what you're missing,
I can't get enough of your love,
she goes...out all alone and out on her own [x4],
how many times do,
I have to say this,
your match is a light for me babe,
I said hey little lady,
see what you're missing,
I can't get enough of your love,
she goes...out all alone and out on her own [x4],
all alone [x6],
the people [x3], change the way you live now,
the people [x3], change the way you live now,
hey Monday morning,
see what you're missing,
I can't live my life like this boy,
I said hey little lady,
see what you're missing,
I can't get enough of your love,
she goes...out all alone and out on her own [x4],
all alone [x6],
the people [x3], change the way you live now,
the people [x3], change the way you live now
(Thompson/Foreman)
[Backgound vocals throughout the song: "People !"]
People, it's been a long time coming
Many years spent hop skipping and a-jumping
We cracked the golden egg and cooked our goose
There's no excuse, accept my truce
There's a tremor in the air of all hell breaking loose
And people, you like it or not, you'll go unheard
Like the unknown soldier who didn't say a word
Rounded up like the blood beaten rest of the herd
At the crossroads of life in itself seems absurd
But I'll hopscotch, cartwheel across, pointing the finger of fate
Oh, I'm in the mood to create
People people
People, it's been a short term marriage
The overnight revolution caused so much damage
Try to understand me as I'm not here too long
And do carry on do carry on do carry on do carry on
Oh oh
People people
People
People who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world
We're children needing other children
And yet, letting our grown up pride
Hide all the need inside
Acting more like children than children
People
God's children
Were born to be free
To love
All people have a dream
For peace, for security
Let the world fall in love again
Please, please, let our lies not be in vain
Lovers are very special people

You'll be over the edge
If you get it on side
You'll be taking a ditch
You'll be loving our love
But you don't know why
It's the term of the day
So we never excite
If your heart isn't there
So you might as well say
"I know it, I got it but I know that time will set me together"

When I was young
I saw people helping people
All the time
Because you were
people-helping-people
In your prime
I thought that people-loving-people
Were the norm
Because you were people
Loving people
Before the long dark storm
But now you're selfish and mean
Your eyes glued to a screen
And what titillates you
Is depraved and obscene
And I know that it's dangerous to judge
But man you've gotta find the truth
And when you find that truth don't budge
Until the truth you found begins to change
And it does I know, I know
When you love the truth enough
You start to tell it all the time
When it gets you into trouble
You discover you don't mind
Cause if good is finally gonna trump
Than man you've gotta take stock
And you've got to take your lumps
Or else they trickle down
Into someone else's cup below
You know
I wanna know who are these people
Blaming their sins on the fall
Who are these people
If I'm honest with myself at all
These are my people
Man what else can I say
You are my people
And we're the same in so many ways
Then your eyes turned green
And you broke the machine
That when handed to you
Was still kind of functioning
And I know that it's dangerous to judge
But man you've gotta find the truth
And when you find that truth don't budge
Until the truth you found begins to change
And it does I know, I know
When you love the truth enough
You start to tell it all the time
When it gets you into trouble
You discover you don't mind
Cause if good is finally gonna trump
Than man you've gotta take stock
And you've got to take your lumps

Chorus
I say people / What’s got you down?/ Don’t let them
little things in life / Hold you down / I say people /
What’s got you down?/ Don’t let them little things in
life / Keep you on the ground
Verse
I been feeling this way now for a while/ Been meaning
to see you / So hear me now / Heard from a friend of a
friend that you / Been needing this track especially to
get you / Off the wall and on the floor / Get you
feeling so good that nothing in this whole wide world /
Could even get close, to almost getting you down
Repeat Chorus
Verse
So over whelming is the crying at night, the charts
echo it / So lonely & incomplete get regular record
spins / As they say arts just a reflection of life / So
reading the chart seems things aren’t appearing to
bright / But unlike McCartney we can’t let it be /
Cause from Kanye to the far Middle East / Love is the
new hate from the streets of U.K / Trinity had the
roots of the game, what they say?/ Little things so
intricate; never noticed but once missed are so evident
/ Bring that sunshine S.Carter spoke of / And know love
like my brothers from the groove house does! / So
people think your living large like B.I.G/ When really
you need the doc care of D.R.E / We came to break them
with D.L.T / So we wrote with you in mind as the V.I.P
Repeat Chorus
Verse
So take it easy now don’t wanna hurt yourself suffer
from a condition like everyone else/ With melodic
styles an flows to end this drought take this track
listen daily it will instantly help /
For what ever to please needs laxing in the summer sun
/ Get your groove in the mood or simply to have fun /
Spend some quality time with your daughter and son /
Your looking better already and this track still aint
done / See this team doing damage / We consist of the
baddest / When in the lab we mix the maddest conger up
another DMON FINGUZ phat track with DJ NOTIQ combined
with mental knowledge to produce this product / Like I
said it before since day 1 it’s been the same war like
a crack addict to the floor’s what you feen for / So
don’t prolong it for another minute shake off them
little things an keep it NESIAN with it
Repeat Chorus
Verse
I heard it through the Grapevine like Gladys & the Pips
that you were in need of something and I believe that
its this / This
delivery swift in the booth we don’t waste time / Got
that Bump Bump across the top of the bass line / I
provide feel good pick me up type feelings/ You can nod
your head or raise your hands towards the ceiling /
What you feeling? / Man we came to break it off / All
day we get it off/ the place we set it off /
Bridge
And while this beat is dropping / We gone keep it
rocking / Ain’t no stopping this cos its all for you /
and while this beat is dropping’ / We gone keep it
rocking / Ain’t no stopping this cos its all for you /

People come back
People dance
People sleep
People high
People deep
People live
People die
People laugh

People dream
People think

I close my eyes
Here's where I want to be
Stripped and alone
First and last and always me

People bore
People kill
People drive
People fly
People swear
People lie
People smoke

Thank you
For listening again
Or for the first time
Or for the last time
We share this moment
And I am grateful for this
I was born to rage
For my father's pain
With my brother's style
For my mother's rain
We could use some hope
We must learn to cope
So be good with goodbyes
So be good with goodbyes
Alright now
People
People
Have you heard the good news
There's people
People
They're running just like you
Today
I say
It's all that matters for now
For you
And I
Wooo
So people
People
Make some good ol' love
Well I lost my pride
With this body of mine
In another land
I began to understand
I got love for all your hate
I got lost to find my way
So be good with goodbyes
So be good with goodbyes
Yeah
Alright now
People
People
Have you heard the good news
There's people
People
They're running just like you
Today
I say
It's all that matters for now
For you
And I
Wooo
So people
People
Make some good ol' love
My knife is a dream
It's a beautiful world
She'll never leave
It's a beautiful world
Her body sits tight
When she's hitchin' a ride
Hey man im sorry
I'm not lookin' to fight
We were born to rage
We're the price of pain
We're a single voice
We're the second choice
We were born to rage
People
People
Have you heard the good news
There's people
People
They're running just like you
Today
I say
It's all that matters for now
For you
And I

Oh na na na
Ho na na na
Ho na na na

People are wasteful, they waste all the food
People are hateful, and people are rude
But god I love some people sometimes
Because people are very, very special
And people are impatient, they don’t know how to wait
People are selfish, people are prone to hate
But god I love some people sometimes
Because people are the greatest thing to happen
People are people regardless of skin
People are people regardless of creed
People are people regardless of gender
People are people regardless of anything
People are my religion because I believe in them
People are my enemies and people are my friends
I have faith in my fellow man
People
Sharing this moment with you
If at least
You could feel for
Just one second
People
What I am going thru
People
All around me (2x)
Sharing this moment with you
If I could
Make you dance
And give you joy
People
For the time of a song
I would be the happiest man (x4)
People
All around me (2x)
I love you, I love you, I love you
Yes I do but the words won't come
And I don't know what to say
I should tell you I love you, I do
The words should explain but the words won't come
I shouldn't hide my love deep inside
The words should explain but the words won't come
I should tell you just how I feel and I keep try-y-y-in'
But something holds me back when I try to tell you
I love you, I love you, I love you
Yes I do-o-o
I love you, I love you, I love you
Yes I do but the words won't come
And I don't know what to say
I shouldn't hide my love deep inside
The words should explain but the words won't come
If you could see what you mean to me
The words should explain but the words won't come
And oh, how hard I try to tell you I lo-o-ove you
But something holds me back when I try to tell you
I love you, I love you, I love you
Yes I do-o-o
I love you, I love you, I love you
Yes I do but the words won't come
And I don't know what to say, yeah!
------ organ ------
I should tell you I love you, I do
The words should explain but the words won't come
I shouldn't hide my love deep inside
The words should explain but the words won't come
And oh, how hard I try to tell you I lo-o-ove you
But something holds me back when I try to tell you
I love you, I love you, I love you
Yes I do-o-o
I love you, I love you, I love you
Yes I do but the words won't come
And I don't know what to say
I love you
Chorus (x2):
We speak for those who can't speak cause they're
afraid/
write for those that can't write their own names/
stand up for those who's sitting in a cage/
and all my people that are suffering today/
We got people living in sewer's, too scared to face the
light/
nine to five struggling people, trying to make it
right/
Tired of life people, trife people/
live and die by the needle people, crime people/
Open your eye's people, see through the light/
and understand our freedom never can be monopolized/
We're getting minimalized by big brother leaders/
that love to see us treated like shit and cops beat us/
Some of us make money whether it's legal or illegal/
the same syndrome appears we forget about other people/
People who live in million dollar palaces/
doesn't know the bum on the corner and what real life
value is/
Is it right that we have to fight for our rights?/
Shouldn't that be the strongest foundation of life?/
Come on light your lighters, all riot fighters/
all fire igniters that are fed up and tired/
Freedom is on sale, how much you got?/
Empty your account, sign the dots and press your luck/
Too many believe in politics instead of themselves/
You gotta check the ingredients before you eat what
they sell/
I can feel the smell, it's like a preview from hell/
that's why me and Embee came to revoke the spell/
We're like a sudden interruption, disclose corruption/
cause nowadays I see people this close to nothing/
People without faith, people filled with hate/
People that can't wait to get in other people's way/
This modern day city breeds burned out souls/
and people can't afford to put their career on a hold/
Some feel like their life's worth less than none/
of course they're gonna wild out and invest in guns/
Casual Brothers is on some hippie shit/
so join this caravan of love if you're sick of their
shit/
Chorus (x2)
I see people with no dreams end up as dope fiends/
business people take advantage of broke teens/
I clear the smoke screen and set free the cold facts/
set free the people they´re too few to hold back/
they have a lot, still want more, for what need?/
Big head ego's, diseased with greed/
I see the poor man bleed and cry in his own sorrow/
hes prayin´ but can't hope to se tomorrow/
Deceived by thieves and a bunch of lying men/
try to dust himself off and try again/
but he sees no reason, it's below 5 degrees and/
his feet is blue, he's broke and it´s mad-freezing/
When does it stop? Time will tell/
We gotta stop cus crime kill the children/
So look upon the world today with new eyes/
Say hello. I'm the idiot who waits outside your window.
Seventeen. An age at which you're balancing the beam.
Introvert: A person just concerned
With his one's own thoughts. I'll tell you what I've learned.
Transgress. You've broken all the boundaries I possess.
People suck
Liquidate. Pay off all your debts before I get irate.
Decompose. Rotting in the ground, straight even rows.
Hustler: A swindler on the street.
He just needs something to eat.
Caprice. A sudden change in mind; or fickleness.
Whoa
Oh, step in the car turnin' green not a pink
Wire along on a dude turnin' big
People, people are all the same
They got no money can't afford not a single thing
Hey, I go to the doc, he gonna fix me up
Hit me with a bill, cost me twice as much
People, people are all the same
They got no money, can't afford not a single thing
I said people, we are all the same
People, people are all the same
They got no money, can't afford not a single thing
Oh, what's that you say?
Step on the bus, yeah, the fare's gone up, what?
No one ever told me if they give a fuck, no
People, people are all the same
They got no money, can't afford not a single thing
Whoa, people, people are all the same
People, people are all the same
They got no money, can't afford not a single thing
Oh, turn it up too loud
[Incomprehensible]
Step on the bus, yeah, the fare's gone up, what?
No one ever told me if they give a fuck, no
People, people are all the same
They got no money, can't afford not a single thing
Whoa, people, people are all the same
People, people are all the same
They got no money, can't afford not a single thing, not a thing no
He ain't got no money, can't afford not a single thing, whoa
He ain't got no money, can't afford no luxury
Whoa, no luxury, whoa
We travel single-o
Maybe we're lucky but, I don't know
With them just let one kid fall down
And seven mothers faint
I guess we're both happy
But maybe, we ain't
People, people who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world
We're children needing other children
And yet letting our grown up pride
Hide all the need inside
Acting more like children than children
Lovers are very special people
They're the luckiest people in the world
With one person, one very special person
A feeling deep in your soul
Says you were half now you're whole
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person who needs people
People who need people
i am a human
you are human too
can we come together
into something new
and sow the seed for a greater good
we’ll grow if you let us
thrive if you protect us
shower us with love and perfect us
up from the darkest earth
comes the whitest rose
all because all of us
are people
and people can fall in love
with other people
people who fall in love
down in the city street
two lovers meet
with a kiss on the cheek
at the end of the week
evaporate in the city heat
you and i begin
promising everything
like orchards in the spring
we begin blossoming
turning into people
people who fall in love
with other people
people who fall in love
cos we’re people
we get to fall in love
like other people
we get to show our love
we’re people
equal in the flesh and blood
we’re people
equal in the eyes of love
i feel like i’m one of them
i feel like i’m one of them
(people)
i feel like i’m one of them
(people who fall in love)
i feel like i’m one of them
(people)
i feel like i’m one of them
(people who fall in love)
(people)
(people who fall in love)
(with other people)
Fanny and Nick steal a private moment at the party and discover they are both a little lonely. Fanny sings:
We travel single-oh
Maybe we're lucky, but I don't know--
With them,
Just let one kid fall down
And seven mothers faint.
I guess we're both happy, but maybe--
We ain't.
People--people who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world,
We're children, needing other children
And yet letting our grown-up pride
Hide all the need inside,
Acting more like children
Than children.
Lovers are very special people,
They're the luckiest people
In the world.
With one person, one very special person
A feeling deep in your soul
Says you were half,
Now you're whole.
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person
Who needs people.
People who need people
Are the luckiest people
In the world!
Nick has to leave the party early because he's going to Kentucky the next day
but promises to call Fanny when he returns to New York.
People to the left of me, people to the right
I wanna be alone
But it just gets worse all the time
Can't make it work
People all around me in love and pain
Some are integrated, drivin' me insane
They're gonna drive me right out of my head
Scheming, there's people cheatin'
Pressure from all sides
Chain you, they'll try to change you
There's no escaping people
People, people
People
Standing right in front of me, movin' up behind
Ringin' on my phone
I got no place to hide
Nowhere to go
People all around me singing out of tune
Draw me, [Incomprehensible]
Oh, leave me alone
I gotta find somewhere else I can go
Once I wanted loving, somebody of my own
That's all changed
Love somebody of my own
That's all changed
People all around me, in love and pain
Some are integrated, drivin' me insane
They're gonna drive me right out of my head
People, people, people
People yeah of my world yeah yeah yeah
People yeah of the world yeah yeah yeah
The party's packed so step back while i rap
I can't control myself i have to open my trap
So people of the world co-operate with me
The d.o.n.b.o. double ess the ice
Crowd pleaser also the sucker teaser
Don't be one of those stick with me because he's a
Looser yeah and we're here to win
I'm gonna stop now for the chorus it's your turn to begin
People yeah of my world yeah yeah yeah
People yeah of the world yeah yeah yeah

The party will be over soon it's time to rock
And roll but don't forget ya soul

People,

Are the luckiest people in the world
Were children needing other children
And yet letting our grown-up pride
Hide all the need inside
Acting more like children than children
Lovers
Are very special people
Theyre the luckiest people in the world
With one person,
One very special person
A feeling deep in your soul
Says you are half now youre whole
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person who needs people
People, people who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world.
With one person
One very special person
A feeling deep in your soul
Says you are half now youre whole
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person who needs people
People, people who need people
Some made of steel, some made of glass
Some made to go where others won't pass
Some made to rule, the grand master mind
Some to lose for others to find
Now everybody is running for something
Now that the dream is gone, developed, disguised
Into a giant cable show... and you want more
Well you deserve more like immortality, extension
Dope, religion, sex and surgery
Guess I'm slipping out of the poetry class here
So many people, with so much to say
So many people, makin' news today
Some made to sing, now will you sing along
Some made like god, and they can't be wrong
Some made of gold, some made of stone
Some with the confidence to bring it all home
Now everybody's got to be on time... be on time...
Free, equal, successful, way ahead... for what
I don't know... but it sure feels great running...
I guess...
So many people, with so much to say
So many people, makin' news today
So let me be your lover, let me be your clown
Let me be your money, you can spend me all around
Let me love you down
Some grow big, some grow small
Some grow fast, some not at all
Some made to glow, some made to shine, some to burn just for a brief moment of time... like...
So many people, with so much to say
So many people, makin' news today
So let me be your lover, let me be your clown
Let me be your money, you can spend me all around
Who are the ones that slip and slide through life,
Moving like the waves in a sink,
People, always need a minute or two to think.
Who says they're not going to Hell,
Climbing the stairway to you know where,
People, Oh! so happy until they scare.
Who always has got to talk about somebody else,
Born as a God, they think that's got to be
People, simply just another you and me.
If you go I hope you get there
If you get there I hope you like it
Cos the night might seem like maidens
Sweet maidens sent to tempt you
And the dark might seem like lovers
Sweet lovers sent to kiss you
Oh if you go I hope you get there
If you get there I hope you like it
Yea yea and I
I can see your eyes shining but your head won't move
Oh yeah I
I can see your eyes shining but your head, your head
won't move
You can't leave now brother
Don't leave now brother
Cos we love you
You can't go no
You can't leave now brother
Don't leave now brother
Cos we love you
Oh you can't go
You can't leave now brother
Don't leave now brother
Cos we love you
Yes you
If you go
Can't leave now
Don't leave now brother
Cos we love you
But if you go I hope you get there
If you get there I know you'll like it
People
'cause there's something that moves me on
and it's there forever
and there's one thing that we all know
now matter how clever
and if someone will take me on
takes me moving right on and on
and when someone will take me on
takes me moving right on and on
people won't let go
and it takes my soul
people won't let go ohoh
when there's something that you lean on
it don't last forever
and there's nothing to do just hold on
and you'll be the rebel
but when someone will ask you on
you get moving right on and on
and when someone will take you on
takes you moving right on and on
people won't let go
and it takes my soul
people won't let go ohoh
We travel single-o
Maybe we're lucky but, I don't know
With them just let one kid fall down
And seven mothers faint
I guess we're both happy
But maybe, we ain't
People, people who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world
We're children needing other children
And yet letting our grown up pride
Hide all the need inside
Acting more like children than children
Lovers are very special people
They're the luckiest people in the world
With one person, one very special person
A feeling deep in your soul
Says you were half now you're whole
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person who needs people
People who need people
She's just a sweet little thing
she's born and raised on daddy's plantation
Her gentle roar can't ignore
the dangers of her black occupation
She's such a crime, she's such a crime.
She only signs on the dotted line
just cause she thinks it's illegal
Oh, you've got a cat, got a dog, got a dad
but you don't know your people.
You know exactly how to turn it up, turn it up,
and watch me lose control.
And you can't shake her, turn it up, turn it up
and watch me lose control.
And nothing's what it seems, nothing's what it seems.
Place your bets on who gets the rest
of your new varsity preacher.
Oh, she gets around, gets around,
and she down to be the beauty school teacher.
And they will feed your own mind,
yes, they'll feed your mind.
Oh, it's always started when she turns it up, turns it
and watch her lose, lose.
No, you just can't shake her, shake her, turn it up,
turn it up
and watch her lose control.
And nothing's what it seems, nothing's what it seems.
