Cyclone Chedza makes landfall in Madagascar - Update 1 (01/16/15)
Cyclone Chedza is about to make landfall in central Madagascar as a 60mph storm, and has intensified significantly since it formed early this morning. The storm is expected to push through Madagascar and weaken, possibly to a tropical depression before emerging on the other side of the island. Chedza could reintensify but is not likely to affect Réunion or Mauritius and is more likely to turn polewards and turn extratropical.

Cyclone Bansi the first Category 5 of 2015 - Update 3 (01/13/15)
The first storm to form in the year 2015 hasn't disappointed, and is now a Category 5 cyclone north of Mauritius. The storm is currently making its closest approach to the island, where tropical storm conditions are likely along the northern shores. Indeed, gusts may be higher, particularly if Bansi begins to turn southeastwards.
