Richard Bedford Bennett, 1st Viscount Bennett, PC, KC (July 3, 1870 – June 26, 1947) was a Canadian lawyer, businessman, politician, and philanthropist. He served as the 11th Prime Minister of Canada from August 7, 1930, to October 23, 1935, during the worst of the Great Depression years. Following his defeat as prime minister, Bennett moved to England, and was elevated to the peerage as Viscount Bennett.
R. B. Bennett was born on July 3, 1870, when his mother, Henrietta Stiles, was visiting at her parents' home in Hopewell Hill, New Brunswick, Canada. He grew up nearby at the home of his father, Henry John Bennett, at Hopewell Cape, the shire town of Albert County, then a town of 1,800 people.
His father was descended from English ancestors who had emigrated to Connecticut in the 17th century. His great, great grandfather Bennett migrated from Connecticut to Nova Scotia c. 1765, before the American Revolution, taking the lands forcibly removed from the deported Acadians during the Great Upheaval.
inside i'm gone
you knew that all along
without the distance you never get away
plastic bag image
is over now it's over now
the color fading is all the way to grey
we are strong but we're dumb
we look above
trusting the instinct
is not about what you think
the one reaction is only to obey
and i'm staring
all around not far down
judge the distance from the ground and pray
we are strong but we're dumb
Disconnected
Far above the ground
You're too close to hear
That thundering sound
Neglected
Behind castle wall
It's your high-wire walk
It's your kingdom to fall
Rainin'
God give up the rain
The way it comes down
Is a God damn shame
Fadin'
Fading to blue
Is distance time
Is cold as the moon
This is the room where crime scene stays,
The burning black book of fear tore out a page,
This is a house where a crime scene's staged
One of these days we'll be walking in the sun
Some simple day that has not yet begun
And one of the visions the Devil got away
And one of these dreams the dead didn't stay
This is a house where crime scene's staged
The burning black book of fear tore out a page
This is a room where crime scene's staged
Raining
God give up the rain
The way it comes down
Is a God-damn shame
Fading
Fading to blue
Is distance time
Is cold as the moon
This is a room where crime scene stays
The burning book of fear tore out a page
This is a house where a crime scene's staged
Neglected, behind castle wall
It's your high-wire walk, it's your kingdom to fall
Raining, God give up the rain
The way it comes down, is a God-damn shame,
Stand in war or rest in peace...
Rage...rage
Got some rage to exorcise
Rage...rage
Got some rage to exorcise
Go!
No turning back and no way out
Nobody leaves without fight
Time is always a bit early
Victory precedes the Victor
The virtual war...for a concrete peace
Put...put your soldiers on the line
And you wish will be divine
Stand... stand and walk above the rest
No one but you can be the best
The virtual war...for a concrete peace
Rage...rage
Got some rage to exorcise
Go!
So much to see so much to hear
So much to give so much to get
Life is never more than you know
But it's sometimes more than you see
Something has to be cleaned
Before you bring your own dirt...Yeah!
Something has to be cleaned
Before you bring your own dirt...Destroy!
Rage...rage
Got some rage to exorcise
Rage...rage
Got some rage to exorcise
Go!
No turning back and no way out
Nobody leaves without fight
Time is always a bit early
Victory precedes the Victor
The virtual war...for a concrete peace
The wind was feeling me, my skin and my senses
Trying to take care me, guiding through faces
Autumn leaves across my face, blinding me from where I'm going I could hardly move,
but I didn't want to
Carry me away, high above the naked trees
I want to fly, a night bird in the autumn sky
The wind was feeling me, my skin and my senses
Trying to take care me, guiding through faces
Autumn leaves across my face, blinding me from where I'm going I could hardly move,
but I didn't want to
Carry me away, high above the naked trees
I want to fly, a night bird in the autumn sky
Carry me away, high above the...
Carry me away, high above the...
For all those people I've met
Thinkin' I live my life in regret for all those choices I've made
I have the utmost respect for my Lord
He's given me
The ultimate reward
of life in heaven when I'm gone from here
I'll get goin when my Lord appears
So take time realize just one thing
To give it up cause He's your one KING
Everything to my God above
He's my one and only true love
Everything to my God above
He's my one and only true love
Everything I've dreamed of
Keeps me going through my day
And through my night and
Through my week
He's everything I'd ever want
Everything to my God above
He's my one and only true love
Here I go again I get myself a paper and pen
Sit down start to pray and I write about my life of sin
All those years when I didn't know Him
Well now I do and His love is showin'
Everything He's ever done everything He'll ever do
Take Him inside He'll do the same thing for you
I know you think you can talk the talk
Let me see you do it now
Let me see you walk the walk
