Dieser Film ist ein Ausschnitt meiner neue DVD "Der Rasende Roland, Preßnitztalbahn und I K Nr.54" Bei Interesse bitte Email senden. Bei meinem diesjährigen Urlaub auf der wunderschönen Insel Rügen habe ich die Rügensche Bäderbahn, genannt Rasender Roland, auf seiner Strecke von Göhren über Baabe, Sellin, Binz bis nach Putbus begleitet und an einigen Stellen Aufnahmen gemacht. Den gesamten Film von 35 Minuten habe ich auf DVD gebrannt, auf YouTube gibt es zwei Teile davon zu sehen. Im ersten Teil sehen wir 99 4011 und 53 Mh bei der Einfahrt in Göhren, beim umsetzen und am Lokschuppen. Nach einem Blick auf die abgestellten Wagen sehen wir die Schmalspurbahn bei der Ausfahrt, in Philippshagen treffen wir 99 4802. Im Bahnhof von Baabe erleben wir die Einfahrt von 99 4802 und die Weiterfahrt des Zuges. In Sellin sehen wir dann wieder die 53Mh in Richtung Binz abfahrend. Nach einigen Streckenaufnahmen endet der erste Teil. Hier im zweiten Teil geht es weiter über Binz bis Putbus, wo wir auch einen kurzen Blick in das Pommersche Schmalspurmuseum werfen. Anschließend fährt der Zug zurück in Richtung Göhren und der Film endet. Das Wetter war diesmal sehr unterschiedlich von strahlender Sonne über bewölkten Himmel bis zu Dauerregen. Spaß hat es mir trotzdem gemacht, falls der Film gefällt würde ich mich über einen Kommentar freuen. Viel Spaß!

Well also show you some special sights to see on your next trip to Rügen. We join longtime Rügen visitor Norman Peters as he shows us the prettiest points of Cape Arkona,the northern-most point of the island. Along the way,Peters introduces us to the Rügenhof Kap Arkona,a famous estate from the 19th century. Here,visitors can watch potters at work—and even take a course in the art of pottery themselves. We walk the 1.2-kilometer-long path along the cliffs from Kap Arkona to the next town,getting a birds-eye view of the sea and the beautiful bluffs. We end up in the medieval fishing village of Vitt,a historical landmark where the old fishing trade houses and a unique octagonal church bring the past into the present.

Rügen (German pronunciation: [ˈʁyːɡən]) is Germany's largest island by area. It is located off the Pomeranian coast in the Baltic Sea and belongs to the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
The "gateway" to the island of Rügen is the Hanseatic town of Stralsund. The island, which is linked to the mainland by road and railway over the Rügen Causeway and Rügen Bridge over the two-kilometre-wide Strelasund, has a maximum length of 51.4 km (from north to south), a maximum width of 42.8 km in the south and an area of 926 km². The coast is characterized by numerous bays (both lagoons known as bodden and open bays known as Wieken), as well as projecting peninsulas and headlands. In June 2011, UNESCO awarded the status of a World Heritage Site. to the Jasmund National Park, famous for its vast stands of beeches.
The island of Rügen is part of the district of Vorpommern-Rügen with its county seat in Stralsund. The towns on Rügen are: Bergen auf Rügen, Sassnitz, Putbus and Garz/Rügen. In addition, there are the Baltic seaside resorts of Binz, Sellin, Göhren, Baabe and Thiessow. Rügen is very popular with tourists because of its diverse landscape and its long, sandy beaches of many tourists.
