The former parent company of American Airlines, AMR Corporation, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November 2011, and in February 2013 announced plans to merge with US Airways Group, creating the largest airline in the world. AMR and US Airways Group completed the merger on December 9, 2013, with the new holding company American Airlines Group, Inc. being listed on NASDAQ that day, although the actual integration of the airlines under a single air operator's certificate will not be completed until a much later date. The combined airline will carry the American Airlines name and branding, and will maintain the existing US Airways hubs in Charlotte, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Washington D.C. for a period of at least five years under the terms of a settlement with the US Department of Justice and several state attorneys-general.
The 767-300, the first stretched version of the aircraft, entered service with Japan Airlines in 1986. The type features a 21.1-foot (6.43 m) fuselage extension over the 767-200, achieved by additional sections inserted before and after the wings, for an overall length of 180.25 feet (54.9 m). Reflecting the growth potential built into the original 767 design, the wings, engines, and most systems were largely unchanged on the 767-300. An optional mid-cabin exit door is positioned ahead of the wings on the left, while more powerful Pratt & Whitney PW4000 and Rolls-Royce RB211 engines later became available. The 767-300's increased capacity has been used on high-density routes within Asia and Europe. Deliveries for the type totaled 104 aircraft with no unfilled orders remaining. As of July 2013, 59 of the variant were in airline service. The type's main competitor was the Airbus A300.

Hamas attack Israel | Ben Gurion International Airport under attack
U.S. air carriers Delta Air Lines, American Airlines Group and United Airlines on Tuesday (July 22) halted flights to Israel under directions from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration to ensure passenger safety as turmoil in the region has intensified.
The U.S. moves were swiftly followed by flight stoppages from European carriers, including Germany's Lufthansa, Air-France and Dutch airline KLM. Air Berlin, Germany's second-largest carrier, said it halted its flights through Wednesday (July 23), citing the situation on the ground in Tel Aviv.
Passengers who arrived at Israel's Ben Gurion International Airport, where Israeli and other airlines flights were still operational, grabbed their luggage and took cover in a one of the airport's bomb shelters.
Norwegian Air, Europe's third-largest budget airline, is also suspending flights to Tel Aviv until further notice, a company spokeswoman told the Norwegian news agency NTB.
Scandinavian Airlines is suspending a flight from Copenhagen later on Tuesday, and another one from Stockholm scheduled for Wednesday. The airline will decide early on Wednesday whether to cancel more flights, a company spokeswoman told NTB.
The FAA said it told the U.S. carriers that they were prohibited from flying to or from Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv for up to 24 hours. In a statement, the FAA said its notice, which applies only to U.S.-based airlines, was issued in response to a rocket strike which landed about a mile from the airport on Tuesday.
"The FAA immediately notified U.S. carriers when the agency learned of the rocket strike," the agency said in a statement. It also said updated instructions would be provided.
The text of the FAA notice cites "the potentially hazardous situation created by the armed conflict in Israel and Gaza" in prohibiting the flights by U.S. carriers.
Delta and United said in separate statements that they have suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv "until further notice." Casey Norton, a spokesman for American Airlines, also said both an inbound and outbound flight operated by its US Airways unit between Philadelphia and Tel Aviv were cancelled.
The flight stoppages came after Hamas, the militant group that dominates in the Gaza Strip, and its allies fired more rockets into Israel. One hit a town on the fringes of Ben-Gurion International Airport, lightly injuring two people, officials said
Many of the airlines said customers affected by the halts could change their travel plans without penalty.
The non-U.S. airlines said their stoppages reflected safety concerns in the absence of specific directives.
"This decision was taken because of the precedence that the safety of passengers and crew takes at all airlines, even though there are currently no additional travel warnings from the relevant authorities," Lufthansa, which normally flies to Tel Aviv seven to 10 times weekly, said in a statement.
Yisrael Katz, Israel's Transportation Minister, called on airlines to return to their normal routes.
British Airways, which flies to Tel Aviv twice daily, said its flights continue to operate as normal.
Israel launched an offensive earlier in July to halt missile salvoes out of Gaza by Hamas, which was angered by a crackdown on its supporters in the occupied West Bank as well as economic hardship due to an Israeli-Egyptian blockade.

The U.S. moves were swiftly followed by flight stoppages from European carriers, including Germany's Lufthansa, Air-France and Dutch airline KLM.

The leaders of the nation's three largest airlines explored what they call unfair international competition at a National Press Club luncheon on Friday, May 15.
Richard Anderson, Delta Air Lines chief executive, W. Douglas Parker, chairman and chief executive of American Airlines Group, and Jeff Smisek, chairman, president and chief executive of United Airlines, made a joint appearance at the Club entitled “Restoring Fair Competition to the Skies.”
They argued that billions of dollars of subsidies from the governments of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates to their domestic airlines give them an unfair advantage and threatening U.S. jobs. The three airlines are part of a coalition called the Partnership for Open & Fair Skies, which also includes several airline unions.

My first ever flight report for 2015! I was glad I made it on Golden Myanmar Airlines. They only have recently started flying to Chiang Mai with their brand new ATR 72-600, and by brand new I really do mean brand new. The plane was very modern, comfortable, quiet, and smooth. The flight attendants on this flight were also very super nice and attentive. Service was excellent for a low cost airline but although I think they follow more of a hybrid model than a full low cost model. More details in the video so check it out!

FSX HD VATSIM Group Flight Manila to Davao 05.21.15 Philippine Airlines A319
97espi is back on flight. This 2015 will share some more experience on FS with bunch of virtual pilots joined together on one flight. The flight goes after my landing in Manila, then together to Davao. All of us used Airbus for the challenging flight that lands at night. You'll be surprised what happened in the end of this video, are you related to it? hehe...

FSX HD VATSIM 97espi's Last Flight 12.19.14 Part 3 Manila to Davao Philippine Airlines B773
Part 2 with my friends Mackie and Gelo for the last set of adventure. They used Cebu Pacific but is detected as an Airbus House Colors in my vPilot. I already had my IVAO_MTL, also I didn't have the time to fix the problem with generated AI Matching.
This is my final flight of the year 2014. 97espi will be back for the next flight on the far vacation to come.

This is a flight review of our Brussels Airlines Economy Class flight from Brussels Airport (BRU) to Krakow Airport KRK onboard a Brussels Airlines Airbus A319. We had flown into Brussels from Copenhagen and this was our connection flight to Krakow. Our flight departed from Gate 49 in concourse A. This was the same concourse our flight from Copenhagen Airport arrived in. Our Brusssels Airlines flight footage includes some short footage of Brussels airport, boarding from our gate, walking onto our aircraft (Airbus A319), pushback, takeoff, onboard cabin views, outdoor flight views, passenger cabin information including inflight meals, inflight drinks (or the lack of them) before we begin our descent and final approach towards Krakow Airport (John Paul II International Airport Kraków–Balice). The viewer then gets a view of our landing, some of the aircraft´s taxiing at the airport before rain makes it difficult to see out of the window (pity because there were many Polish Airforce planes lined up at the airport). We then include our tarmac disembarkation of our flight from the aircrafts rear door. We are them met by a bus which drives us to the airport arrivals terminal. The footage ends with some views of the baggage claim area before we round off with the arrivals area at Krakow Airport. Krakow Airport is currently undergoing a major modernisation.
The Brussels Airlines Airbus A319 (Airbus A319-112) we flew with had aircraft registration OO-SSI. This aircraft had her first flight in April 2009 and joined the Brussels Airlines fleet in March 2015. Prior to this the aircraft has also been operated by Hamburg International, Olympic Air and Aegean Airlines.
Wiki writes about Brussels Airlines, "Brussels Airlines is the flag carrier and largest airline of Belgium based and headquartered at Brussels Airport. It operates to over 75 destinations in Europe, North America and Africa and also offers additional charter services, maintenance and crew training. The airline is a member of the Star Alliance as well as the International Air Transport Association and the Association of European Airlines. The airline's IATA code SN is inherited from its predecessors, Sabena and SN Brussels Airlines..."
Wiki writes about the Airbus A320 family, "The Airbus A320 family consists of short- to medium-range, narrow-body, commercial passenger twin-engine jet airliners manufactured by Airbus. The family includes the A318, A319, A320 and A321, as well as the ACJ business jet. The A320s are also named A320ceo (current engine option) after the introduction of the A320neo. Final assembly of the family in Europe takes place in Toulouse, France, and Hamburg, Germany. Starting in 2009, a plant in Tianjin, China, has also been producing aircraft for Chinese airlines. In April 2013, Airbus started construction of a new production facility for the A319, A320, and A321 variants in Mobile, Alabama. The aircraft family can accommodate up to 220 passengers and has a range of 3,100 to 12,000 km (1,700 to 6,500 nmi), depending on model....".
Wiki writes about Brussels Airport, "Brussels Airport (IATA: BRU, ICAO: EBBR) (also called Brussel Nationaal/Bruxelles-National/Brussel-Zaventem (Brussels National)) is an international airport 6 NM (11 km; 6.9 mi) northeast of Brussels, the capital of Belgium. In 2014, almost 22 million passengers arrived or departed at Brussels Airport, making it the 23rd busiest airport in Europe. It is located partially in Zaventem, partially in the Diegem area of Machelen, and partially in Steenokkerzeel, in the Flemish Region of Belgium..."
Wiki writes about Krakow Airport, "John Paul II International Airport Kraków–Balice (Polish: Kraków Airport im. Jana Pawła II since 4 September 2007; earlier in Polish: Międzynarodowy Port Lotniczy im. Jana Pawła II Kraków–Balice) (IATA: KRK, ICAO: EPKK) is an international airport located near Kraków, in the village of Balice, 11 km (6.8 mi) west of the city centre, in southern Poland..."
This Brussels Airlines flight review footage is filmed at Brussels Airport concourse A (BRU) inside a Brussels Airlines Airbus A319 and at Krakow Airport (KRK).

One-to-one interview with Group Chief Executive of Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker
Featuring: John Strickland, Director, JLS Consulting
Interviewing: Akbar Al Baker, Group Chief Executive, Qatar Airways
The airline recently moved into its new hub at Doha's Hamad International Airport, how will this act as a spring board to Qatar's further development? Is the airport delivering on its promise? Qatar Airways now has all three new generation aircraft types in its fleet : Airbus's A380 and A350 & Boeing's 787. How are these now performing in service?
The airline recently took a stake in IAG, the parent group of British Airways and Iberia. How significant is this and what is the possibility of further acquisitions? This session also discusses Akbar Al Baker's views on broader industry issues as a Board member of IATA and about the recent complaints of US and European carriers about the Gulf carriers.

TACA owned and operated five other airlines in Central America, and its name was originally an acronym meaning Transportes Aéreos Centroamericanos (Central American Air Transport), but this was changed to Transportes Aéreos del Continente Americano (Air Transport of the American Continent), reflecting its expansion to North, Central, South America and the Caribbean.
On October 7, 2009, it was announced that TACA would merge with Avianca, though TACA maintained its name until the merger was officially completed on May 21, 2013.
TACA Airlines was the second-oldest continuously-operating airline-brand in Central America and the Caribbean after Cubana de Aviacion.

Golden Myanmar Airlines ATR 72-600 Flight Report: Y5 252 Chiang Mai to Yangon
Aircraft: ATR 72-600 (XY-AJM)
Airline: Golden Myanmar Airlines
Route: Chiang Mai-Yangon
Date: 27th January 2015
My first ever flight report for 2015! I was glad I made it on Golden Myanmar Airlines. They only have recently started flying to Chiang Mai with their brand new ATR 72-600, and by brand new I really do mean brand new. The plane was very modern, comfortable, quiet, and smooth. The flight attendants on this flight were also very super nice and attentive. Service was excellent for a low cost airline but although I think they follow more of a hybrid model than a full low cost model. More details in the video so check it out!

The flight goes after my landing in Manila, then together to Davao. All of us used Airbus for the challenging flight that lands at night. You'll be surprised what happened in the end of this video, are you related to it? hehe...

Brussels Airlines Airbus A319 Economy Class flight review to Krakow Airport - OO-SSI

Last year’s impressive Singapore Gold Cup winner began 2015 with a bang in Group 3 New Year Cup (1900m) on Polytrack, but has come up short at next three runs, beaten a whisker by Stepitup in the Group 2 QEII Cup (2000m) at his last start. Seems to a be bit dour these days, but is still in sparkling form as seen at his solid hit-out in a barrier trial on May 7. Has peaked for that race. Prefers a good track and will be one of the leading local hopes.

Oil Stocks Pull London Down, But Airlines and French Consumer’s Provide Lift
European markets are mixed. London’s oil and resources heavy FTSE100 slips back while continental markets recover some of yesterday’s losses. Airlines such as the U.K.’s EasyJet plc and International Consolidated Airlines Group plc are among the risers, following yesterday’s dip in confidence over the Germanwings air disaster. French consumers are feeling better than at any time in last four years. Amazon circles fashion retailer Net-a-Porter. Royal Bank of Scotland sells its international private banking business to Swiss private bank Union Bancaire Privee. The Deal's Jonathan Braude reports from London.

US Airways is a major U.S. airline owned by the American Airlines Group. It operates an extensive international and domestic network, with 193 destinations in 24 countries in North America, South America, Europe, and the Middle East.
The airline is an affiliate member of Oneworld and utilizes a fleet of 343 mainline jet aircraft, as well as 278 regional jet and turbo-prop aircraft operated by contract and subsidiary airlines under the name US Airways Express. The carrier operates the US Airways Shuttle, a US Airways brand which provides hourly service between Boston, New York City, and Washington, D.C. As of October 2013, US Airways employed 32,312 people worldwide and operated 3,028 daily flights (1,241 US Airways Mainline, 1,790 US Airways Express).
In February 2013, American Airlines and US Airways announced plans to merge, creating the largest airline in the world. The holding companies of American and US Airways merged effective December 9, 2013. In preparation for their eventual integration, the airlines began offering reciprocal frequent flyer benefits on January 7, 2014, and US Airways announced plans to leave Star Alliance to join Oneworld as an affiliate member of American Airlines on March 31, 2014. The combined airline will carry the American Airlines name and branding, and will maintain the existing US Airways hubs in Charlotte, Philadelphia, and Phoenix for a period of at least five years under the terms of a settlement with the Department of Justice and several state attorneys-general. US Airways management will run the combined airline from the American headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas.

Fiumicino – Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (Italian: Fiumicino – Aeroporto Internazionale Leonardo da Vinci) (IATA: FCO, ICAO: LIRF) or Rome Fiumicino Airport, also simply known as Fiumicino Airport, is Italy's largest airport with 37.7 million passengers served in 2011.[3] It is located in Fiumicino, 18.9 nautical miles (35.0 km; 21.7 mi) southwest of Rome's historic city centre.[1]
The airport serves as a hub for Alitalia, the largest Italian airline, and Vueling, a Spanish low-cost carrier owned by International Airlines Group. Based on total passenger numbers, it was the sixth busiest airport in Europe and the world's 29th busiest airport in 2011. It covers an area of 15 square kilometres (3,700 acres) and is named after Italian polymath Leonardo da Vinci, who designed a proto helicopter and a flying machine with wings.
