A mountain is a large landform that stretches above the surrounding land in a limited area usually in the form of a peak. A mountain is generally steeper than a hill. The adjective montane is used to describe mountainous areas and things associated with them. The study of mountains is called orography. Exogeology deals with planetary mountains, which in that branch of science are usually called montes (singular—mons). The highest mountain on Earth based from sea level is Mount Everest (8,848 m (29,029 ft)) in the Himalayas of Asia. The highest known mountain in the Solar System is Olympus Mons on the planet Mars at 21,171 m (69,459 ft). Mountains and mountain ranges on Earth are typically formed by the movement and/or interaction of lithospheric plates.
There is no universally accepted definition of a mountain. Elevation, volume, relief, steepness, spacing and continuity have been used as criteria for defining a mountain. In the Oxford English Dictionary a mountain is defined as "a natural elevation of the earth surface rising more or less abruptly from the surrounding level and attaining an altitude which, relatively to the adjacent elevation, is impressive or notable."
Hans Florian Zimmer, German pronunciation: [hans ˈfloːʁi̯aːn ˈtsɪmɐ]; (born 12 September 1957) is a German film composer and music producer. He has composed music for over 100 films, including award winning film scores for The Lion King (1994), Crimson Tide (1995), Gladiator (2000), The Last Samurai (2003),The Dark Knight (2008), and Inception (2010).
Zimmer spent the early part of his career in the United Kingdom before moving to the United States. He is the head of the film music division at DreamWorks studios, and works with other composers through the company which he founded, Remote Control Productions.
Zimmer's works are notable for integrating electronic music sounds with traditional orchestral arrangements. He has received four Grammy Awards, two Golden Globes, a Classical BRIT Award, and an Academy Award. He was also named on the list of Top 100 Living Geniuses, published by The Daily Telegraph.
Zimmer was born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. As a young child, he lived in Königstein-Falkenstein, where he played the piano at home, but had piano lessons only briefly as he disliked the discipline of formal lessons. He moved to London as a teenager, where he attended Hurtwood House school. In an interview with the German television station ZDF in 2006, he commented: "My father died when I was just a child, and I escaped somehow into the music and music has been my best friend."
Earl Eugene Scruggs (January 6, 1924 – March 28, 2012) was an American musician noted for perfecting and popularizing a three-finger banjo-picking style (now called "Scruggs style") that is a defining characteristic of bluegrass music. Although other musicians had played in three-finger style before him, Scruggs shot to prominence when he was hired by Bill Monroe to fill the banjo slot in his group, the Blue Grass Boys.
Scruggs was born near Shelby, Cleveland County, North Carolina, to Georgia Lula Ruppe and George Elam Scruggs, a farmer and bookkeeper, who played banjo and died when Scruggs was four years old. His older brothers, Junie and Horace, plus his two older sisters, Eula Mae and Ruby, all played banjo and guitar. Scruggs' mother played the organ. He grew up in Cleveland County, North Carolina.
Scruggs joined Bill Monroe's Blue Grass Boys in late 1945, and quickly popularized his syncopated, three-finger picking style. In 1948 Scruggs and guitarist Lester Flatt left Monroe's band and formed the Foggy Mountain Boys, also later known simply as Flatt and Scruggs. In 1969, they broke up, and he started a new band, the Earl Scruggs Revue, featuring several of his sons.

Martin came to public notice as a writer for the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, and later became a frequent guest on The Tonight Show. In the 1970s, Martin performed his offbeat, absurdist comedy routines before packed houses on national tours. In 2004, Comedy Central ranked Martin at sixth place in a list of the 100 greatest stand-up comics.
Since the 1980s, having branched away from stand-up comedy, Martin has become a successful actor in both comedic and dramatic roles, as well as an author, playwright, pianist, and banjo player, eventually earning Emmy, Grammy, and American Comedy awards, among other honors.
Plot
In the streets of East Los Angeles, Manny is a formidable drug dealer. Impressed by his extravagant lifestyle and prowess, his young son, Kilo, yearns to follow in his footsteps. Kilo resolves to learn how to prosper in the drug world, and his new life as a dealer begins. Starting off small, dealing to the high school and college market, Kilo discovers the drug business to be very profitable. With a little help from the well-connected and seductive daughter of a Colombian gangster, he becomes a drug kingpin with a nationwide monopoly on drug running. While conquering the drug world, Kilo falls in love with a local Latina who quickly becomes pregnant. Shortly thereafter, Kilo is involved in a drug deal with a wired frat boy that goes bad, and he is imprisoned. His exciting and stylish life as a drug lord seems to have come to a halt. But prison life does not stop Kilo from running his operation. He enlists the support of other prisoners including Crips, Bloods, and a very powerful Jamaican mobster and is able to expand his drug empire. Not only is his business booming, he is also hired by the governor to kill another inmate in return for an early release. It seems like a perfect opportunity for Kilo to get back to his family, but this job leads to a world of trouble for Kilo after his release. Kilo is now a free man and a new father with a drug franchise covering both coasts. He is living a life of luxury in a huge mansion and a Mercedes in the driveway. Several years after his release, his drug-using father, Manny, comes back into his life and Kilo reluctantly welcomes him back with a job overseeing all of his drug runners. Everything is perfect. Watching his son grow up has a profound effect on him and he limits his dealing to marijuana. This business decision slows down his profits. Also, a conservative judge and the attorney general become suspicious of his early release and its relation to the murdered prisoner. The feds are now determined to bring Kilo's operation down. Arrests of his posse are piling up and, profits are plummeting. Everything has taken a turn for the worse, and Kilo can't seem to stop it. In a world where a man wants everything, he may end up with nothing.

I'm searching to find what's beyond each horizon
to the end of one world and on to a new one
always chasing golden sunsets
I'm struggling out of the depths of the valley
and my weary legs have failed me once again
so I give my broken soul to you
And in my weakness is Your strength realized
Consume me in the fire of Your glory once again
and help me rise
Rise, taking flight
To the zenith of life
Rise to the top of the mountain with You
The world disappears
Into the valley below me
As I'm lost in the glory of You
Step by step the climb gets harder
my being weakens as I struggle farther and farther
flesh is weakness, darkness, sickness
my dreams are shattered, my ambitions crumbled
my will defeated, my spirit humbled once more
I am hopeless, helpless without you
And I must decrease so that You may increase
and when I find you're all I have
I found you're all I need to help me rise
Rise, taking flight
To the zenith of life
Rise to the top of the mountain with You
The world disappears
Into the valley below me
As I'm lost in the glory of You
I cannot fight this battle on my own
Have mercy
I'm fallen weakness clothed in flesh and bone
consume me
I stand in awe of who you are
and what I feel I cannot explain
forged in the flame, broken again
Take me to the places I can't go
Transcending
I'm sick of living in the status quo
New Beginning
And when it seems I've given up
On eagle' wings you life me up again
and this time I know, in the end
She came down
>From the mountain
And I
I stood my ground
On the mountain
Like a fire I'm drawn to her lust
I can't run from her but Lord I must
Like a demon I'm drawn to her flame
I'm gonna burn calling her name
I'm gonna burn calling her name
She came down
>From the mountain
And I
I stood my ground
On the mountain
Like a fire I'm drawn to her lust
I can't run from her but Lord I must
Like a demon I'm drawn to her flame
I'm gonna burn calling her name
I'm gonna burn calling her name
She's got a sweetness about her
That I can't explain
She's got a wonderment about her
That I can't deny
And if we are patient
Then maybe we'll get it straight
On the mountain
Like a fire I'm drawn to her lust
I can't run from her but Lord I must
Like a demon I'm drawn to her flame
I'm gonna burn calling her name
I'm gonna burn calling her name
Midnight come, colors are melting
White moon shivering on the sea
Like a ghost up to the mountain
Wax Queen will carry me
I can see the forest for miles
All the creatures small and large
If you crumble I won't be living
For my love would have no house
Mountain, oh mighty mountain
Show me secrets you have
So I may become brother to Moses
And live, live and be glad
I can feel all of your powers
Growing lighter in the dark
If you crumble I won't be living
For my love would have no heart
White moon, white as my skeleton
Who has seen martyrs among my brothers
Yet strength remained in me to write the song
Say no more! The children already know
And their dreams grow strong like the trees
In their minds where thoughts are plotted
Is also where crystal suns are forged
And they will be older than a thousand years
So that they may open the deserts of the heart
And in these dreams of the mountain
She's allright and I'm so fine and I know that I'm the one
Heaven help me, I ain't no liar, I ain't no liar to the sun
I'm a searcher, I'm a finder and I give you all my love
I have read it in the skies, said: all you need is in your heart
And I seize it in a mountain, in a sea drowned of my love
Dudududududu...
I have read it in the skies, said: all you need is in your heart
And I seize it in a mountain, in a mountain of my love
(Gardos,Laing,Pappalardi-Collins,Ship,Rea) A sad reflection in everyone Who am i but you and the sun Was it me who let you walk away Were you the one Or is it were the same The simple story of a younger life What are we in time going by Happy dreams and somehow through the day We havent come so far to lose our way Look at me, i believe its true Youre a part of me Im a part of you Love is only what we come to knew The walking, breathing and all with you A crystal passing reflected in our eyes Eclipsing all the jealousy and lies Look at me, cant you see its true Im a part of you Youre a part of me Quiet as the voices in a dream Were you the one Without two shadows the things ive seen Remember the evening i let you walk away Or is it were the same Look at me, i believe its true Youre a part of me Im a part of you
Oh no! Another mountain!
One I haven't seen before
You know it seems it's so much bigger
Than the two I climbed before
Oh no I think I'm falling
Not quite sure how to stand
The world around me is falling
Into the sinking sand
I don't know why this happened
To such a normal guy
Tell me why, please don't lie
I hear a voice inside me
Saying that I must go on
I could turn & walk away
That won't get me through my day
Oh no my world is spinning
The future is hard to see
Would someone come & help me
Come & deliver me
Still not sure why this happened
To such a normal guy
Tell me why, please don't lie
Tell me! (only one side seen)
Tell me what's on the other side
Tell me! (bigger than your dreams)
Tell me what's on the other side.
Now I'm standing on this mountain
Lord, I really love this view
The other side is so much brighter
Colored by the love of you
Oh no! I think I'm falling
Could you reach out your hand?
Please lead me through this desert
To the promised land
Still not sure why this happened
To such a normal guy
Tell me why! Tell me why
Oh no I think I'm falling
Not quite sure how to stand
The world around me is falling
Into the sinking sand
I don't know why this happened
To such a normal guy
Tell me why! Tell me why!
Music & Lyrics: Darnell
can see you baby from a thousand miles away,
And I know you love me, no matter what you say.
I can tell you baby, where you belong,
By my side at the end of the day, when the work is
done.
I can tell when you been sleepin' all day in bed,
And I know what drives you, out of your head.
I can feel your heart beatin' through a cememt wall,
An' I know you'll come runnin', when ever I call.
Can't fool me (no, no, no)
Can't fool a man who's been around,
You can't leave me (no, no, no)
Without me knowin' where you're goin'
Can't get away.........
Oh, I can touch, every breath you take,
And I know with me you can't make no mistake.
Just like butter on a hot summer's day,
I can melt you baby an' leave you that way.
If your heart was a diamond and your love was gold,
You'd be a ring on my finger, you don't need to be
told,
That it ain't no use tryin' to cheat on me,
'Cause everybody knows, where you got-ta' be.
Can't fool me (no, no, no)
Can't fool a man who's been around,
You can't leave me (no, no, no)
Without me knowin' where you're goin'
Travelln' in the dar..... ar-ar-ark,
Can't see a thing, Travelln' in the dark.
Travelln' in the dar..... ar-ar-ark,
Can't see a thing, Travelln' in the dark.
What you gonna do when you can't seem to understand?
How ya' gonna feel when your woman's with another man?
Travelln' in the dar..... ar-ar-ark,
Can't see a thing, Travelln' in the dark.
Travelln' in the dar..... ar-ar-ark,
Can't see a thing, Travelln' in the dark.
What makes you think that you're ever gonna understand?
What's goin' on in the mind of another man?
--- Lead Guitar ---
Travelln' in the dar..... ar-ar-ark,
Can't see a thing, Travelln' in the dark.
Travelln' in the dar..... ar-ar-ark,
Can't see a thing, Travelln' in the dark.
What you gonna do when you can't seem to understand?
Oh, I was
On top of a mountain
Lookin' down
On where I been.
Just like forgotten
It was another world
Livin' in
And I was another girl.
I should've know,
But when in Rome,
And I did know.
But you roll along,
Like a stone,
In a whirlpool.
Do remind me
That it was yesterday
And it can't be changed
Or locked away.
But behind me
And you will find your way
Will be rearranged
You'll get used to change.
Oh...Just like it turn around, it is, it is.
Whoa, lately
In a common thread
Among my friends
Whoa, the thrill is dead.
Come slowly
Then like it was always there
You're drinkin' up
From the golden cup.
I should have known,
But when in Rome,
And I did know.
But perspective is like a light switch,
In the darkest room,.
Whoa, impending doom
Is only I will die
Like a fire fly
Out goes the light.
Always, there'll be a sadder day
And won't you
Remember it that way.
Mississippi Queen
If you know what I mean
Mississippi Queen
She taught me everythin'
Way down around Vicksburg
Around Louisiana way
Lived a Cajun lady
Aboard the Mississippi Queen
You know, she was a dancer
She moved better on wine
While the rest of them dudes
Were'a gettin' their kicks
Boy, I beg your pardon, I was gettin' mine
Mississippi Queen
If you know what I mean
Mississippi Queen
She taught me everythin'
This lady she asked me
If I would be her man
You know that I told her
I'd do what I can
To keep her lookin' pretty
Buy her dresses that shine
While the rest of them dudes
Were makin' their bread
Boy I beg your pardon, I was losin' mine
You know, she was a dancer
She moved better on wine
While the rest of them dudes
Were'a gettin' their kicks
Boy I beg your pardon, I was gettin' mine
See village of descending motion
chanting ride with silver potion
magic power fly on the night
gaze at planets of might.
Rocket through to burning sun
frozen-core galaxy run
glowing rays of love collide
airing key-stone burnt inside.
On the pyramid of the sun
along its slopes I run
it smiles in the sky
its peaks they make me high.
Blue oceans drifting free
brought to the seas
in this tranquility
my galactic entity.
The whispering torn forgiver
drink rays and burn the river
venture into another one
towards the peaceful sun.
So bring the stars to me
freak-outs are all around me
and through this spacious life
speeding towards the light
I travel a choosen sign
the earth I change to mine
on my metal moon-beam
Supreme and celestial
elevated vertical
grandiose proportions
inspire greatness generosity
Mountain of health mountain salvation
inaccessible, difficult to be found
Tending by the peak towards oneness
where contradictions don't exist
the all embracing image of totality
The mountain rose from bonds of earth and showed that all could rise.
Some men learned, while others saw with only hungry eyes.
And as the prize they conquered, like a bride without her gown.
One by one, they mined its bones and dragged the mountain down.
They built a grand cathedral in the image of the mount.
The grace was lost on hungry men who feared to be without.
And as the bombs fell from the air and shattered in the town,
One by one, they broke its bones and dragged the mountain down.
So I see the mountain in this wall of weathered stone.
I read the names of hungry men who lie in fields unsown.
Rise up had been the lesson, but we put them in the ground.
One by one, we laid their bones and dragged the mountain down.
The long red, flowing through my mind
Dream here, dreamin' there
Two pieces all the time
Sobered, wisdoms in my dreams
Bits and pieces in my arms
This is always what it seems
Long red, helpin' you to find a day
Bright red, how am I gonna find a way
Bright Red
You have changed me too
Stranger now it seems somehow
Bright red has turned to blue
Long red
Tears and shades of gray
I have changed you
I have lost forever from today
Long red, helpin' you to find the day
Bright red, how am I gonna find a way
Long red
Tears and shades of gray
I have changed you
I have lost forever from today
trombones, trumpets and a violin
set some music to this whirlwind
why won't anybody come on in
the ice can not be that thin
matchbox, pinewood and spruce twigs
set a fire and make it big
aurora borealis, bittersweet
symphonies
a mountain

the earthquake
shakes no one but me
sad conductor and church choir boys
exchange these laments with a tender voice. solve my
troubles in mathematics
and throw me into the mix
briefcase, meetings and a dictaphone
planes to catch, working nine to four
budgets, maximum efficiency
bleeding pig
a mountain
is trembling
to the sea
great waves are
catching
me in
cuffs off
just some papers
and release
gates up
you're caged down
Standin' on my pillow
Talkin' to the moon
Wadin' in the ocean
I'm sendin' for you soon
Reachin' for the handle
Achin' in my head
Woven in the bedsheets
And then I will understand
Yeah!
Sun comes over the city
Time goes in its hand
Politicians are screamin'
There's a time and a little to spare
Leanin' out of the window
Runnin' from the gun
Caught in webs of invention
It's the blood, it's the blood of the sun
Hidin' in the ocean
With the sunshine at my side
To leave the hard road behind me
There's a light on the road that I ride
Thunder down in the valley
Rainbow 'round the moon
To leave the city behind me
I'm sendin' for you soon
When the wagons leave the city
For the forest and further on
Painted wagon of the morning
Dusty roads where they have gone
Sometimes travelin' through the darkness
At the summer comin' home
Foreign faces by the wayside
Look as if they hadn't known
All the sand was in their eyes
And the desert that's dry
In the country town
Where the life was found
Oh, the dancing and the singing
Oh, the music when they play
Oh, the fire that they saw there
On the grave of no return
Sometimes they found it
Sometimes they kept it
Often lost it on the way
Pawnee shadow to possess him
Sometimes ride inside of day
Oh, the sand was in their eyes
And the desert that's dry
In this country town
Where the map was found
Oh, the sand was in their eye
And the desert that's dry
In this country town
Where the wagons bound
All these dreams and all these plans,
I built them all with these two hands,
Everything I've realized my dreams.
The city lights shine down and they blind me sometimes,
But through it all I was lost but I found my way
So tell me what you want 'cause I would give you anything,
Tell me what you need and I'll go get it.
I'd give up all these dreams to have you in my arms right now,
I'd give up everything and I'd forget it.
I wasn't on a mountain
When it came to me.
All my life's been wasted,
Chasing shallow dreams.
So here we are,
Let me lift you up and show you this world over me,
And all these things what I've gained and what I've seen,
It can't compare to the love that you could give to me.
Years go by
And nothing's slowing down the time
Years go by
And then they're wasted.
All this time
I thought that I gained everything,
If you're not mine
I'm so empty.
I wasn't on a mountain
When it came, when it came to me.
All my life's been wasted,
Chasing shallow dreams.
So please come back to me, I'm right here waiting
You speak your love
You turn, are gone
What kind of love
You thinking of
Can you tell me how this mountain got so high
Moments worth
The price of myths
Lifting from our fingertips
Reaching for the next hand hold on the wall
How'd this mountain get so high
How'd this mountain get so high
Can someone tell me how this mountain got so high
Step by step
We take on weight
The trick is now
To separate
Secure the good
Leave the rot behind
How'd this mountain get so high
How'd this mountain get so high
Can someone tell me how this mountain got so high
No need for answers
But give them choice
A simple place
To hear their voice
Can someone tell me how this mountain got so high
How'd this mountain get so high
How'd this mountain get so high
sittin' in a blue room,
starrin' at the wall.
tryin' to get into, anything at all
cigarettes taste funny,as I sink into my bed
dreams of milk and honey, are running thru my head
look at me lord, listen and see
look at me lord, listen and see
girl you say you love me,
but the truth is in your eyes
your heart for me is empty
and your lips are givin' lies
and it seems i'm in a blue room,
spendin' all my time
tryin' so to catch you
Goodbye, little Robin-Marie
Don't try followin' me
Don't cry, little Robin-Marie
'Cause you know, I'm coming home soon
My ships' leaving on a three year tour
The next tide will take us from shore
Wind laced, gather in sail and spray
On a search for the mighty sperm whale
Fly your willow branches, wrap your body round my soul
Lay down your reeds and drums on my soft sheets
There are years behind us reaching
To the place where hearts are beating
And I know, you're the last true love I'll ever meet
And I know, you're the last true love I'll ever meet
Star buck is sharpening his harpoon
The black man is playing his tune
An old salt is sleepin' his watch away
He'll be drunk again before noon
Three years sailing on bended knee
We found no whales in the sea
Don't cry, little Robin-Marie
'Cause we'll be in sight of land soon
Fly your willow branches, wrap your body round my soul
Lay down your reeds and drums on my soft sheets
There are years behind us reaching
To the place where hearts are beating
And I know, you're the last true love I'll ever meet
I want to follow you home
If you are walking alone in my neighborhood
Oh no I'm not insecure
Two stops to the methadone clinic is all I'm really asking for
But that system is flawed
We can do terrible terrible things
If you believe and I keep believing
That the system is flawed
Well we already have
Where were you when I was young?
When I could still fall in love with anyone
Oh no and I'm not really sure
Two stops to the methadone clinic is all I am really asking for
That the system is flawed
We already have
I'm not new to this thing's leaking
We can't sleep and we can't eat yet
And everyone around me is walking so fast I can't keep up
A little bit of me is gonna leave you so I have to beat this
And that little thing comes so close that we wont ever be friends
(I wanted to occupy, everyone, but not anyone)
(I occupied anyone who came close, take me home, from the cold, from the coast, take me home)
Every time I assume she's messing around
Every time I look she has her eyes closed
She's a tap tap women gonna by my time
She's a tap tap woman gonna keep me awake at night
I'm not new to this thing's leaking
We can't sleep and we cant eat yet
And everyone around me is walking so fast I can't keep up
A little bit of me is gonna leave you so I have to beat this
And that little thing comes so close that we wont ever be friends
(I wanted to occupy, everyone, but not anyone)
(I occupied anyone who came close, take me home, from the cold, from the coast, take me home)
(ill wait for you, a little while, you let me in, I let it die)
There once was a wrong thought it was right
There once was a truth that thought it could lie
Then they saw they were nothing new at all
And after the storm along came the landslide
Would they climb would they swim time to decide
If I had to choose I know what I'd do
CHORUS
You wanted me to be a mountain
I'd rather be a river
Water flow can wash a hill away
You wanted me to fly
I want to get high
How else am I gonna see what I want to see?
I am for now you are forever
Behind the rust is buried treasure
Is it gold, is it something we can hold?
All will come and go (all will come and go)
All will come and go (like a river flow)
I always knew what I had to do
CHORUS
I always knew there was rust between the truth
I always knew what I had to do
Today is the last day, the end of fasting
Eye candy is a mind fuck, but oh no more
This anticipation is drivin' me nuts
Something is gonna happen, some
Feel it pulse, watch it grow, it explodes when
When's it my turn to explode?
Aha ha ha I feel the sonic sliding the pressure builds inside me
I am so happy I could, I am so happy I could
Dreams that taste this good can't possibly come true
However now and then they find a way to
Today is tomorrow and I am happy
Something is gonna happen some
Today is the last day and I am through with it
Today is the last day and no more bullshit
I'm gonna write a little letter,
Gonna mail it to my local dj.
It's a rockin' rhythm record
I want my jockey to play.
Roll over Beethoven, I gotta hear it again today.
You know, my temperatures risin'
And the jukebox blows a fuse.
My heart's beatin' rhythm
And my soul keeps on singin' the blues.
If I can't be a brave boy jumping of the head of a mountain
and I wonder why the thought of it brings me to the edge of my bed
if I can't tell the diffrence from a waterfall and fountain
is it the way that you looked at me then in a moment i said
that I could sit here for hours waiting on your arrival
I could sit here for days hoping you'd come out and play
I could die in a minute and the one chance for survival
would be the sound of your beautiful name
and if I cried would you hold me?
softly whisper everything is ok
because I live to breath the sky that hangs high above you
and the tears that I had before will simply say
that I love you!
that I love you!
Allright,so maybe I dreamed it all
but the blisters on my skin they tell me different
bad dreams-sugarcoated tabs fom hell
drowning in the wishing well I save for you
stone cold sweat
I bleed to death every night
something here ain’t exactly right
someone turn the wheel before I drown
beneath your mountain
oh,it’s so strange
sometimes I see these things
that don’t exist
beyond my dreams.............
wake up,with nerves sprayed on the wall
there’s a saint across the hall, but she’s not at home now
empty-too full of fear to fill up
too far gone to stop, too scared to move

Open your heart and let the sunshine in
Sun is shining on my world
Open your heart, let the sunshine in
This job is spent with you
While i'm passin' through this life
Sun is in my shoes
Wrap my dreams in silver paper
Use them on some rainy morning
And they'll tell you what to do
Gonna give them all to you
Open your heart and let the sunshine in
Open your heart, let the sunshine in
Open up your heart and let the sunshine in
Open your heart and let the sunshine in
Life is what you're reaching through
When your path is spied

The Laird is arriving
He ran to the east
He stood in the courthouse
Pleading his case
His crime was a passion
An aching for peace
And he´s not alone
And he´s not alone
And he´s not alone
And he´s not alone
Let my people go
His soul is on paper
Freshly changed
And white men they keep him
Oh and not changing
And he´s not around, yeah
And he´s not around
He´s not around
He´s not around, yeah
Well she was born in a north woods town
Twenty-one winters ago
And she grew tired of the freezing cold
And living in the blinding snow
But this girl knew she wouldn't be there long
'Cause she had plans and dreams
And she'd seen pictures of the sunshine state
In the pages of the magazine
So she waited them tables and she used her smile
Saving every penny she can
For a one-way Dixie bound Amtrak ticket
Headed for the promised land
Her momma and daddy begged her not to go
When the day she dreamed of came
And she waved goodbye sittin' way up high
From the window of a southbound train
Now she's got a fire burnin' deep inside
Ridin' on a southbound train
And the clickity-clack of that railroad track
Only helps to fan the flames
No more worries, no more cares
She left them up in Bangor, Maine
Now she's startin' a brand new life
Ridin' on a southbound train
Whoa...
She said, 'Hello sun, good mornin' Daytona
You're sure lookin' good to me
With your ocean breeze and your tall palm trees
And your southern hospitality'
Now she's a knockout queenie in a string bikini
She's drivin' all the boys insane
And this all started with a small town dream
And a ticket on a southbound train
'Cause she had a fire burnin' deep inside
Ridin' on a southbound train
And the clickity-clack of that railroad track
Only helps to fan the flames
No more worries, no more cares
She left them up in Bangor, Maine
Yeah she likes the boys with the southern drawl
Soakin' up the sunshine, havin' a ball
She'll be the first to tell you that she owes it all
To ridin' on a southbound train
Put their shoulders to the big wheel. work their fingers
to the bone
Take their pleasures in the future, put it down and bring
it home
Walk around into the sundown, looking for an honest man
Gentle people seeing too much, aching to be wat they can
Chorus
Angels, tired angels
Tired down inside their shoes
All wanting grace
They live again rhythym lines on the king of Gondor's
face
Children, gentle children
Gentle leaving to the wars
They found their place
And live again their rhythym lives on the king of
Gondor's face
Sinking down into the lame words, overflowing with their
sorrows
Praying for it all to cease fire, saturated with desire
Standing up to all the brave men, laughing hollow at the
day's end
Walking back and give a handshake, this is just another
When the wagons leave the city
For the forest and further on
Painted wagon of the morning
Dusty roads where they have gone
Sometimes travelin' through the darkness
At the summer comin' home
Foreign faces by the wayside
Look as if they hadn't known
All the sand was in their eyes
And the desert that's dry
In the country town
Where the life was found
Oh, the dancing and the singing
Oh, the music when they play
Oh, the fire that they saw there
On the grave of no return
Sometimes they found it
Sometimes they kept it
Often lost it on the way
Pawnee shadow to possess him
Sometimes ride inside of day
Oh, the sand was in their eyes
And the desert that's dry
In this country town
Where the map was found
Oh, the sand was in their eye
And the desert that's dry
In this country town
I am the lowest creep
And you call me a friend
When you were laughing at a parking lot
With blood in your hair
Come on in
This head is open
Jump right in
This dream is vacant
Just to be number one into the sea
Was all you cared about basically
Beyond the treehouse and the track
Looking for signs of you in the water
Come on in
This beach is haunted
Try to swim
The stream is strong
Now come on in
This beach is haunted
Try to swim
The long red, flowing through my mind
Dream here, dreamin' there
Two pieces all the time
Sobered, wisdoms in my dreams
Bits and pieces in my arms
This is always what it seems
Long red, helpin' you to find a day
Bright red, how am I gonna find a way
Bright Red
You have changed me too
Stranger now it seems somehow
Bright red has turned to blue
Long red
Tears and shades of gray
I have changed you
I have lost forever from today
Long red, helpin' you to find the day
Bright red, how am I gonna find a way
Long red
Tears and shades of gray
I have changed you
Two island swans mated for life,
And his faithful heart would not consider any other
wife.
For three years peaceful joy midst the rushes of the
pond,
Proud and gentle was the loving of the last two island
swans.
Their love was like a circle, no beginning and no end,
With his lady by his side a treasure and best friend.
And the pond was all so peaceful with the rising of the
sun,
Young and free like the island breeze their life was
just begun.
'Til a dread day in November when the searing cold did
start,
Stalked the hunter with his bow, he put an arrow
through her heart.
Husband come to my side let your feathers warm my pain,
For I feel I will not spend another day with you again.
And the cold winds blow,
He was brave but he's laid low.
By her body in the isle of mist,
I saw him give her one last cold kiss,
One last cold kiss.
Of swans the people talk of only one in this days tide,
They brought him twenty ladies he would take no other
bride.
They say he will not move from the place where she did
fall,
Once so proud he's beaten now, he will not speak at
all.
And the cold winds blow,
He was brave but he's laid low.
By her body in the isle of mist,
I saw him give her one last cold kiss,
(West,Pappalardi-Collins,Laing)
Never in my life
Did I find a girl like you
Never in my life
Did I find a girl like you
When I wake up in the morning
You make me feel so good
Bringin' me a shot of whiskey
And a little bit of lovin' too
For the first time in my life
I finally found someone like you
For the first time in my life
I finally found someone like you
And when I'm at home at night time
Man it feels so good
Knowin' my baby's waitin'
And I love her dress tight too
Hey hey hey hey yeah yeah yeah
Never in my life
Did I find a girl like you
Never in my life
Did I find a girl like you
When I get around to thinkin'
About the way she do
I don't want to leave her
When I was looking at the laid sky
I was overcome by Inevitable feeling
That eternity and bird´s feathers
Are two aspects
Of the unseizeable whirl
Passing sentence over everything
That won´t square up
And in this moment I have realized
That every stone seems to be ambiguous in some way
And that it is waiting a lifetime
Hoping that at least a moment
Will show the miracle
That gives lifeless light confidence
One man's life has stalled in needing.
Words out loud that want repeating.
Fathers passed to sons their craving.
Woman's loved their children saving
Kings who walk in banners waving still.
I have no heart for listening, to the men who talk of
peace.
They're putting all their nonsense in my way.
Won't you please my love, please rest your tired little
hands.
We've been talking half the night, and there's so much
more to say.
Mothers asking for this one more time, before their
babies come
They're misled in the smells of dusty tea
Someplace there is better, where time looks nothing
turned to stone
But the sun is shining yellow, and it's turned to shine
on me
Someone breathing discontent in the circling vapour
light
And frozen little soldiers guard their homeland through
the night
And the million nameless cattle, weather out just one
last time
And the heartbeat in that aching crowd no it will not
beat with mine
The answer we're all given, to the base analogy
And hither led us all into the war
The children who once laughed at this, would breath
behind the song
It's the season for re-living, but they're living in
the heart
Someone breathing discontent in the circling vapour
light
And frozen little soldiers guard their homeland through
the night
So a million nameless cattle, weather out just one last
time
And the heartbeat in that aching crowd no it will not
beat with mine
Hearts all filled of pride and passion
Sacrificed in royal nations
Stand we here in humble breeding
Save the souls who in retreating
Sitting on a rainbow looking at the world
Standing by the roadside waiting for my girl
Earning time and let it pay
When the sunshine's on its way
This ie what you'll hear my say
Riding on a jet plane
Higher than a bird
Looking out the window
Don't believe a word
Earning time, earning pay
When the sunshine's on its way
I'm a crossroader.
Speedin' from town to town.
I'm a crossroader.
Speedin' from town to town.
I never ride the main highway.
So nobody can slow me down.
I'm always trav'lin'.
Just a taste outside the law.
I'm always trav'lin'.
Just a taste outside the law.
If you come lookin' for some trouble
I'm the man that you'relookin' for.
When things ain't movin' fast enough
I gotta' pick up and move
When things ain't movin' fast enough
I gotta' pick up and move
They say it ain't no way for a man to be livin'.
Don't look around, 'cause I'm never comin' back.
It's high time you saw the last of me.
You know I was a wanderer, I'd forgotten where to go,
I had no place to lay my head or rest my heavy load.
Don't look around 'cause I'm never comin' back.
It's high time, you saw the last of me.
Lord, how she changed my mind.
Lord she changed my life.
Now I'm workin' all day long, singin' for my food,
Baby, you know that I've got everything I need.
I've given all I can, the rest belongs to me,
Time was it didn't matter just who I had to be.
Don't look around, 'cause I'm never comin' back.
It's high time you saw the last of me.
Lord, how she changed my mind.
Lord, she changed my life.
I got another woman now, don't need you anymore.
Now I think I'll turn my back and walk away from you.
We're livin' in the country doin' everything we please,
I don't want you comin' 'round, stirrin' up a breeze.
Don't look around, 'cause I'm never comin' back.
It's high time you saw the last of me.
Lord, how she changed my mind.
Hey, you the blind man
Tell me, tell me what to (you?) see
Yeah
Hey, you the blind man
Tell me, tell me what to see
Nothing, nothing wrong outside
With what you want to see
I was struck by the blind man
? (inside)
Yeah yeah yeah
Oh oh oh
I was struck down by the blind man
? (inside)
Yeah yea yeah
He died completely empty
On a one way suicide
He died completely empty
Oh, In a one way suicide
Hey, you the blind man
You ain't have a magic (petty) bone (?)
Yeah. Yeah yeah
Hey, you the blind man
You ain't have a magic bone (?)
Oh woah
Don't tell me you got trouble
The only thing that's left for you to hate now is yourself
Each and every day and every way all by yourself
All i really wanted was a lover who could love
And all i really needed was a message from above
I while away the hours 15 showers on my skin
I'm drying off too early, saying hey girl, how've you been?
Weighing up up the problems of the days along the way
Id share a little piece of my mind with you today
Tried another track but the best is right in front of me
Got you on your back but the sight is much too much for me
Far away
Far away
You know that i couldn't stay...
Find me something to prove, something to do
Don't say 'yes' if i say 'no'
You've got to let it go
Find me something to prove, something to do
Don't say 'yes', no don't you say it...
You always need an answer but you never wonder 'why?'
The feelings like addiction, could you give up if you try?
Find another mountain is the only thing to do
I'll climb another face but i still can't get to you
Tried another track but the best is right in front of me
Got you on your back but the sight is much too much for me
Far away
Far away
You know that i couldn't stay...
Find me something to prove, something to do
Don't say 'yes' if i say 'no'
You've got to let it go
Find me something to prove, something to do
For many a year I was so confused
and didnt know what to play
But then I met a man who picked up his horn
and showed me just what to say
He was skinny and lean and he kept himself clean
and he knew how to write them tunes
Then came a day when we started to play
And you know we conquered the moon
Chorus
I'm in a band
A rock and roll band
I'm in a band
We called him Beethoven and then we showed them
exactly where we wanted to go
So we started a band and toured all the land
A-rakin' in all of that dough
We smoked a few cigs and we played a few gigs
and never missed nearly a one
We covered the States and we hit the Great Lakes
And boy, did we have us some fun
(Chorus)
We had an idea so we put it in gear
and soon we were out on the road
We did it to play and they started to say
Do you remember the great train robbery?
How it all happened, back in '63
When Johnny Rainbow took his band of brave men
Went down to the crossing to meet that train
When they were sure the time was right
Fourteen men to share seven million
Bound to steal, steal it all and run
Johnny wanted to keep it peaceful
But Wilson cried and though it might have died
You know they had to turn and run
The life of a thief
Is all bits and pieces
It's out on the street
And all that it teaches
The look in the wind
And taking a gamble
The wages of sin
Are too hot to handle
(Look him in the eye)
He takes what he finds
(Look him in the eye)
Yeah, he's marking time
(Look him in the eye)
His life's on the line
No one knows where the Rainbow is hiding
He's been sure not to tip his hand
He is still living on the fruits of that bloody day
They caught some of his friends, they got some of his money
But they never could catch that man
The affairs of that night will live forever
As the law was breeched in the heart of a thief
Many legends still declare that tragic day
How the iron horse fell, oh I know so well
The long red, flowing through my mind
Dream here, dreamin' there
Two pieces all the time
Sobered, wisdoms in my dreams
Bits and pieces in my arms
This is always what it seems
Long red, helpin' you to find a day
Bright red, how am I gonna find a way?
Bright red
You have changed me too
Stranger now it seems somehow
Bright red has turned to blue
Long red
Tears and shades of gray
I have [Incomprehensible] you
I've lost forever from today
Long red, helpin' you to find the day
Bright red, how am I gonna find a way?
Long red
Tears and shades of gray
I have changed you
I've lost forever from today
Oh can you tell me Oh how the joy
Passed from his childhood That's not my boy
I see he's finished, he's run his race
We're not his family that's not his face
We taught him well And from his youth
He knew he always Must know the truth
He left his country to go to war
When he returned, he'd found we closed the door
Chorus
But we never dreamed when he was leaving
That he would taste the flowers of evil
I know his habit was not so bad
When for fifty dollars it could be had
But now he' home to his promised land
And what he needs got to cost a Grand
When he'd been home for six month's time
My son he told me, he'd made up his mind
He's re-enlisted for three years more
It's too expensive to stop this war
[ Chorus ]
Oh can you tell me Oh how the joy
Passed from his childhood That's not my boy
He's re-enlisted for three years more

I see her sailing on her silver wings,
With hands that move like little trees.
Alive and bending in my raging storm,
To a heartbeat, my lady lives for me.
To a heartbeat, my lady lives for me.
Out of the country to my city life,
All wrapped in dreams she wears like pearls,
She dances to the music that I play for her,
And my lady is the softness in my world.
And my lady is the softness in my world.
Comin'... back...... from the Moun-tain,
My Lady waits for me.... My Lady waits for me.
In paint and ribbons and her coloured shells,
All she imagines for my days,
And weaves a life that is feeling good for me,
And my lady, hears every note I play.
And my lady, hears every note I play.
My rooms are filled with all she's made by hand,
My songs are filled with all her rhymes,
My heart is filled with the work that we've been doin'
And the children we'll be havin' all in good time.
And the children we'll be havin' all in good time.
Comin'... back...... from the Moun-tain,
Into the mountain
Into the sea
Into the graveyard
Into the leaves
We don't need our bodies
We don't need our minds
We don't need discoveries
Just leave them in the mines
When we wake up to see
That we're lost souls in need
And we're hollering defeat
Into the rapist
Into the heart
Into the killer
Into finish into start
We can't keep on dreaming
For how much we need
We can't keep on speaking
The words never leave
When we wake up to see
That we're lost souls in need
And we're hollering defeat
Without our minds, we'll build a trust
To carry all that sound into the dust
We want the ancient, we can't hold a key
We are collapsing onto our knees
When we wake up to see
That we're lost souls in need
And we're hollering defeat
Freight train
Why am I, I'm arriving late tonight
And the world is turning
'Round and 'round the sun
All the places spinning by and by, one by one
Coming home, I'm on time
Been gone such a long time
Goodbye travelling
So long to the boys in the band
Goodbye travelling
So long to the boys in the band
We play tunes today
Leaving memory of yesterday
All the circles widen, getting in the sun
All the seasons spinning, all the days one by one
Comin' back before long
Comin' back 'til I, I'm gone
Goodbye travelling
So long to the boys in the band
Goodbye travelling
Forsworn and forgotten, a totem of power rises from the
earth.
A supernatural light staggers out from behind the shadow
of what once was alive and breathing.
A figure, made up of teeth, is brought back to life on
top of the totem.
His mouth opens showing nothing but blackness and sorrow.
The eyes of the summoners widen with terror, as their
request has not been granted.
Regret.
Don't look around 'cause I'm never comin' back.
It's High time, you saw the last of me.
You know I was a wand'rer, I'd forgotten where to go,
I had no place to lay my head or rest my heavy load.
Don't look around 'cause I'm never comin' back.
It's High time, you saw the last of me.

I am climbing
Up this mountain
So I can ride my skateboard
Right back down it
At first I am digging
Myself out of this hole
I love your eyes
The way they look
When you're uncomfortable
I bought fireworks
A big bag in Pennsylvania
I'm gonna light em up
When I get home to Jersey
They'll probably arrest me
They'll probably ruin my
Whole summer
Stop taking pictures with your phone
Stop taking pictures with your phone
The door sounded
When she shut it
As if she didn't
Really have to leave
She just needed
A separator
She needed something in between
I bought fireworks
A big bag in Pennsylvania
I'm gonna light em up
When I get home to Jersey
They'll probably arrest me
They'll probably ruin my whole summer
