Hangul, the Korean alphabet, is the native alphabet of the Korean language. It is a separate script from Hanja, the logographic Chinese characters which are also sometimes used to write Korean. It was created in the mid-15th century, and is now the official script of both North Korea and South Korea and is co-official in the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture of Jilin Province, People's Republic of China.

Hangul is a true alphabet of 24 consonant and vowel letters. However, instead of being written sequentially like the letters of the Latin alphabet, Hangul letters are grouped into blocks, such as 한 han; each of these blocks transcribes a syllable. That is, although 한 may look like a single character, it is composed of three distinct letters: ㅎ h, ㅏ a, and ㄴ n. Each Hangul block consists of two to five letters, including at least one consonant and one vowel. These blocks are then arranged either horizontally from left to right or vertically from top to bottom. Tasha Reid (Real Name: Natasha Shanta Reid), better known by her Korean name Yoon Mi-rae (former stage name Baby Tasha, then T), is a Korean hip hop and R&B singer and rapper, who debuted with the her Korean hip hop and R&B group Uptown, at the age of 16. This was back in 1997. As of 2011, she is currently working as a solo artist, away from her band Uptown. She is part of the well-respected Korean hip hop crew, The Movement. She is currently under Jungle Entertainment. In June 2007, she married Tiger JK, and they both raised a son named Jordan, in March 2008.

Tasha was born in Portland, Texas to a Korean mother, and an African American father. She often faced discrimination because of her mixed heritage. The name of her father was Thomas J. Lead Yun (Thomas J. Reid Yoon). Tasha had begun her DJ activities in her early childhood, and her father's friend was talented musician. In 1995, she started to organise group members and two years later it became to be known as Uptown, only at the age of 17 (English age: 16).
