Tom Biggs (born 22 August 1984 in Hull, East Yorkshire) is a rugby union footballer for Bath RFC. His usual position is at wing. Playing in his first season for Leeds Tykes in 2004, he featured in the Zurich Premiership, Powergen Cup and European Cup.

Biggs had not played any club rugby before joining the Yorkshire U18s, having only played with his school team at Hymers College. Biggs was spotted by the then Tykes Academy boss Stuart Lancaster and was asked to join the Tykes' Academy side.

Before the 2004–05 Zurich Premiership season, Biggs was considering a part time rugby career with National Division Two team Harrogate Rugby Union Football Club, having failed to make an appearance in the Leeds Tykes first team. At the time, he was working in a cinema and in a pea factory to supplement his life as a business student at Leeds Metropolitan University, but by the end of the season he had collected a Powergen Cup winners medal.

He had been recalled by Tykes coach Phil Davies on the eve of the season as the club were forced to call on all their resources when faced with an injury crisis with Phil Christophers, Diego Albanese, Tim Stimpson and Iain Balshaw all unable to play. Biggs was included in the pre-season warm up games and was picked in the starting line up for the opening game of the season against Gloucester RFC on 5 September 2004, making his full debut in a 16–21 defeat at Headingley.

Jonah Tali Lomu, MNZM (born 12 May 1975) is a New Zealand rugby union player. He had sixty-three caps as an All Black after debuting in 1994. He is generally regarded as the first true global superstar of rugby union. He has had a huge impact on the game. He was inducted into the International Rugby Hall of Fame on 9 October 2007, and the IRB Hall of Fame on 24 October 2011.

Lomu burst onto the international rugby scene during the 1994 Hong Kong Sevens tournament and was widely acknowledged to be the top player at the 1995 World Cup in South Africa even though New Zealand lost the championship game to the host Springboks. At one time Lomu was considered 'rugby union's biggest drawcard', swelling attendances at any match where he appeared. He is officially the Rugby World Cup all-time top try scorer with 15 tries.

He has played for several provincial teams, in the Super Rugby and NPC competitions. These included the Blues, Chiefs and Hurricanes, and Counties Manukau, Wellington and later North Harbour. He made a comeback after undergoing a kidney transplant in 2004.

Nick Abendanon (born 27 August 1986 in Bryanston) is an English rugby union player, currently playing for Bath Rugby in the Guinness Premiership. Full-back Abendanon burst onto the scene during the 2006–07 season, scoring 10 tries in 24 first-team appearances for Bath.

His form that season earned him a first England cap in South Africa – the country of his birth – in June 2007. He was capped again against France in August 2007, but narrowly missed out on a place in England's 30-man squad. However, he did eventually travel to France as cover for the final after a Josh Lewsey injury.

A strong tackler, balanced runner and dangerous counter-attacker, he has firmly established himself as Bath's first-choice full-back in the post-Matt Perry era.

Some fine performances during the 2008–09 season were rewarded with a call-up for the England Saxons squad for the 2009 Churchill Cup in the United States.

Retaining his place in the squad, Abendanon was part of the England Saxons victory of the 2010 Churchill Cup and his impressive performances resulted in him being named Player of the Tournament.

The White Rabbit is a fictional character in Lewis Carroll's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. He appears at the very beginning of the book, in chapter one, wearing a waistcoat, and muttering "Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!" Alice follows him down the rabbit hole into Wonderland. Alice encounters him again when he mistakes her for his housemaid Mary Ann and she becomes trapped in his house after growing too large. The Rabbit shows up again in the last few chapters, as a herald-like servant of the King and Queen of Hearts.

In his article "Alice on the Stage," Carroll wrote "And the White Rabbit, what of him? Was he framed on the "Alice" lines, or meant as a contrast? As a contrast, distinctly. For her 'youth,' 'audacity,' 'vigour,' and 'swift directness of purpose,' read 'elderly,' 'timid,' 'feeble,' and 'nervously shilly-shallying,' and you will get something of what I meant him to be. I think the White Rabbit should wear spectacles. I'm sure his voice should quaver, and his knees quiver, and his whole air suggest a total inability to say 'Boo' to a goose!"

Sir Thomas Biggs (c1542 - 4 May 1613) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1604.

Biggs was the son of Thomas Biggs and his wife Magdalene Hoby. He built a mansion at Lenchwick. In 1593 he was High Sheriff of Worcestershire. He became a J.P. in 1601. He was knighted on 23 July 1603. In 1604, he was appointed an alderman of Evesham by the charter on 2 March 1604 and was elected Member of Parliament for Evesham and sat until 1611. He was re-appointed on 3 April 1605.

Biggs died at the age of about 70 and was buried in Abbot's Norton Church.

Biggs married Ursula Throckmorton, daughter of Clement Throckmorton of Haseley Warwickshire. His son Thomas became a baronet.
