Brian Joubert (born September 20, 1984) is a French figure skater. He is the 2007 World Champion, a three-time (2004, 2007 & 2009) European champion, an eight-time (2003–2008, 2011, 2012) French National champion, and the 2006-7 Grand Prix Final champion. In total, he is a six-time World medalist and ten-time European medalist.

Brian Joubert was born in Poitiers, Vienne to Jean-Michel and Raymonde Joubert; he has two older sisters, Sarah and Alexandra. He suffered a life-threatening illness at the age of 11 months, which led to the removal of one kidney.

Joubert has been considered a heartthrob in his native country, France. This reputation has been contributed by media appearances after his first victory at the 2004 European Championships and silver medal at the World Championships and short relationship with former Miss France, Lætitia Bléger. He later brought a lawsuit against Bléger for 40,000 Euros for insinuating that he was homosexual and that their relationship was arranged to hide this. Bléger and two magazines that published her allegations were ordered by a French court to pay a total of 17,000 Euros, and to publish the court ruling in one of the two magazines. He was later involved with Italian figure skater Valentina Marchei, but the relationship eventually ended.

Florent Amodio (born May 12, 1990) is a French figure skater. He is a two-time European medalist (2011 champion, 2012 bronze), the 2010 French national champion, and the 2008 Junior Grand Prix Final Champion.

Florent Amodio was born in Sobral, Ceará, Brazil. A French couple adopted him as an infant, along with his sister. He was raised in Fremainville, Val-d'Oise. He holds both French and Brazilian citizenship.

In addition to competing, Amodio is studying for a coaching diploma.

Amodio began skating at the age of 4 and was coached by Bernard Glesser for more than fifteen years. At the age of 12, he was diagnosed with Osgood-Schlatter disease, causing knee pain and edema. It left him unable to skate for 18 months. He returned to competition in 2004 and first represented France internationally in 2005.

After finishing third and first at his 2008-9 JGP events, Amodio won the 2008-2009 ISU Junior Grand Prix Final in his fourth and final season on the circuit. He later had a disappointing 15th place showing at Junior Worlds. Amodio was part of the French team that competed at the inaugural World Team Trophy in April 2009, and finished 10th in the men's field.

Evan Frank Lysacek (pronounced /ˈɛvən ˈlaɪsətʃɛk/; born June 4, 1985) is an American figure skater. He is the 2010 Olympic champion, the 2009 World champion, the 2005 & 2007 Four Continents champion, the 2007 & 2008 U.S. national champion, and the 2009/2010 Grand Prix Final champion.

Lysacek was also a member of the U.S. Olympic Team at the 2006 Winter Olympics, where he placed 4th in the men's event.

Lysacek was the United States Olympic Committee's SportsMan of the Year for 2010. He was also honored with the prestigious James E. Sullivan Award as the top U.S. amateur athlete of 2010.

Evan Lysacek was born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Naperville, Illinois. His mother, Tanya (née Santoro), is a substitute teacher in Naperville, and his father, Don, is a building contractor. He has an older sister, Laura, and a younger sister, Christina, who played on a nationally ranked volleyball team. His cousin Cole Chason is a former punter for the Clemson Tigers. Lysacek went to Spring Brook Elementary and then to Gregory Middle School. Lysacek graduated from Neuqua Valley High School in 2003. During high school, Lysacek was a member of the honor roll, where he earned a number of academic achievement awards, including the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence in 1999.
