In telecommunications and reliability theory, the term availability has the following meanings:

For example, a unit that is capable of being used 100 hours per week (168 hours) would have an availability of 100/168. However, typical availability values are specified in decimal (such as 0.9998). In high availability applications, a metric known as nines, corresponding to the number of nines following the decimal point, is used. In this system, "five nines" equals 0.99999 (or 99.999%) availability.

Availability of a system is typically measured as a factor of its reliability - as reliability increases, so does availability. However, no system can guarantee 100.000% reliability; and as such, no system can assure 100.000% availability. Further, reliability engineering and maintainability involve processes designed to optimize availability under a set of constraints, such as time and cost-effectiveness. Availability is the goal of most system users, and reliability engineering and maintainability provide the means to assure that availability performance requirements are achieved.

Eelke Kleijn (born June 11, 1983) is a Dutch producer and DJ hailing from Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In his early career (between 2003 and 2005), he mainly produced electronic records as M.I.D.O.R. & Six4Eight, and he was responsible for some of the DJ Precision releases and remixes. His first release as 'Eelke Kleijn' was '4.5 Billion Years' in 2003 on Segment Records. From 2005 onwards, he solely released music under his own name. His breakthrough came in 2006 when Nick Warren used the track '8 Bit Era' for his 'Global Underground: Paris' compilation. As a result, Eelke released his first artist album 'Naturally Artificial' on Global Underground in 2007. Between 2008 and 2010, he remixed artists such as Way Out West, Hybrid, Sander Kleinenberg and Nadia Ali. In 2010 Eelke released his second artist album 'Untold Stories' on Manual Music. As a DJ, Eelke has played many venues and festivals including Extrema Outdoor, Dance Valley, Sensation, Warung Brazil, Privilege Ibiza and Moonpark Buenos Aires.
He also hosts a monthly radio show and podcast 'Outside the Box', and manages the record labels Outside the Box Music, Survival and Down Under.

Philip George Houthem Gell (20 October 1914–3 May 2001) was an immunologist working in postwar Britain.

Together with Robin Coombs, he developed the Gell-Coombs classification. He was elected as Fellow of the Royal Society in 1969.

Louis La Roche (born Brett Ewels) is a DJ, remixer and producer from Norwich, UK.

He released his third EP 'Super Soaker' in January 2010 on Ever After Records. This followed his debut "The Peach EP" and then his second EP ‘Me & Her’, which gained airplay from Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, Kissy Sell Out and Jaymo & Andy George on Radio1, and led to remix work for artists including Boy Crisis, Grum, Del Marquis, Don Diablo, VV Brown and Team Waterpolo.

His tracks have appeared on compilations from Ministry Of Sound, Modular, Neon and Annie Mac Presents, and on Channel 4’s Skins. He regularly DJs across Europe and America. He was featured as Guardian Music's first 'New Band of The Day' for 2010.

Louis La Roche is currently preparing to release his debut album, "Hello You". On August 2010, Louis premiered a new song titled, "My Turn" on his YouTube page. The song features Yann Destal on vocals. Originally set to be released on September 13, 2010, Louis later confirmed that "My Turn" will not appear on "Hello You" and will be released in the future. He released, "My Turn" on February 20 to Beatport and March 20 everywhere else. Louis plans to release his first single from "Hello You" as a double A-Side single. The first singles confirmed for "Hello You" are "The Wall" and "Gimme Gimme", which will be released on September 19 on Beatport and October 3 everywhere else.

Don Diablo (born February 27, 1980 as Don Pepijn Schipper) is a Dutch record producer, songwriter, artist, DJ. His parents named him after Don van Vliet (Captain Beefheart).

Don Diablo is an Amsterdam-based dj/producer, who produces his own music, does remixes and production work for other artists, (co)directs his own musicvideos and travels around the globe to do DJ-gigs. After signing his first record deal at age fifteen, Don Diablo has had the opportunity to grow as a producer as well as an artist. His music is a blend of musical styles varying from electro to dubstep and from downtempo electronica to drum & bass. At the end of 2005, Don Diablo founded his own record label and event brand, Sellout Sessions, and started fine-tuning his own sound and raising his profile in his native country, the Netherlands. Success followed soon after with (underground) hits like "Blow," "Who's Your Daddy", "Pain Is Temporary, Pride Is Forever", "Hooligans" and "Animale". "Blow" was the first single to be rolled out internationally and got licensed to over ten territories after creating quite a buzz in the club scene.
