The Embraer E-Jet family is a series of narrow-body medium-range twin-engine jet airliners produced by Brazilian aerospace conglomerate Embraer. Launched at the Paris Air Show in 1999, and entering production in 2002, the aircraft series has been a commercial success. The aircraft is used by mainline and regional airlines around the world. As of 31 December 2014, there is a backlog of 249 firm orders for the E-Jets, 502 options and 1090 units delivered.
The Embraer E-Jets line is composed of two main commercial families and a business jet variant. The smaller E170 and E175 make up the base model aircraft. The E190 and E195 are stretched versions, with different engines and larger wing, horizontal stabilizer and landing gear structures. The 170 and 175 share 95% commonality, as do the 190 and 195. The two families share near 89% commonality, with identical fuselage cross-sections and avionics, featuring the Honeywell Primus Epic Electronic flight instrument system (EFIS) suite. The E-jets also have winglets to improve efficiency.
Year 175 (CLXXV) was a common year starting on Saturday (link will display the full calendar) of the Julian calendar. At the time, it was known as the Year of the Consulship of Piso and Iulianus (or, less frequently, year 928 Ab urbe condita). The denomination 175 for this year has been used since the early medieval period, when the Anno Domini calendar era became the prevalent method in Europe for naming years.
KLM Cityhopper is the regional subsidiary of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (part of the Air France-KLM group). The airline's head office, the Convair Building, is on the grounds of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in Schiphol-Oost, Haarlemmermeer. It operates short haul services in Europe on behalf of its parent company, KLM. Therefore, the ICAO code 'KLM' is used by air traffic control and the IATA code 'KL' are used on tickets and flight information displays et cetera. Flights are scheduled to approximately 44 destinations, but this can vary on the time of year, and the carrier takes up differing routes when directed to do so by its parent company KLM.
The company identity is identical to that of its parent carrier with the addition of “Cityhopper” after the KLM crown logo and the absence of “The Flying Dutchman” and “Royal Dutch Airlines” on its aircraft livery. A revised font style was introduced in 2010.
The airline has five fully crewed UK bases in operation, inherited from its purchase of Air UK and subsequent merger of the KLM uk brand. Therefore, several hundred British cockpit and cabin crews continue to operate KLM Cityhopper flights from the UK and the Netherlands throughout the carrier's network.

Very recently KLM Cityhopper welcomed its first E17 at Schiphol Airport. The new aircraft will allow KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and KLM Cityhopper to continue their contribution to more efficient and environmentally friendly operations in which quality and passenger comfort hold an important place
The beginning of my journey to Asia in 2015 began with this short hop from Seattle to the mega LAX airport onboard a Compass Airlines Delta Connection flight in Business class. As usual on previous flights, the air always seems to be pretty rough around Northern California on this route. I've missed the good bumps, but you'll get the idea these smaller jets bounce around a lot! Otherwise, the flight went well and the morning meal was much better than the food I'd eat onboard my Delta 777 & 747 flights along with an FA who took great care of everyone. Filmed: February 2015

Recently purchased the Wilco E-Jets v2 with the Embraer 175/195 jets. This is the first flight with the 175 from KEWR to KIAD. I had not read any of the manuals or the checklists beforehand so please excuse the mistakes in that realm. Otherwise it was a nice flight and I hope you all enjoy it.
