Summer vacation is almost her, but it's not too late to get a good deal on travel, especially if you ignore two common travel beliefs: don't go to Europe in the summer and don't take travel insurance. You can and you should do both this year.
Throw the right rewards credit card in the mix and you could save a lot of money.
Beverly Harzog, author of "The Debt Escape Plan," went to Belize last summer with her husband for their 25th wedding anniversary -- and it was almost free. She used airline miles and cashback rewards to cover most of the cost.
The trick is finding the right card. Harzog suggests looking at credit card comparison websites to help pick the rewards card that's right for you. The most important thing it to match the rewards to your spending style.
Trying to figure out where to fly? Thanks to the strong U.S. dollar, Europe is the spot. Flights may still be expensive, but you'll spend less once you're in Europe thanks to the exchange rate.
Lee Abbamonte is the youngest American to visit every country in the world. He says you can save even more money if you avoid tourist traps like Italy, France, and Spain. Instead, he suggests either Central Europe or Eastern Europe. Some of his favorite places are the Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Croatia, and Montenegro. Abbamonte says those counties are beautiful and much less crowded in the summer.
If you do anything before you leave the country do this: get travel insurance, Abbamonte says. But skip the plans offered by the airlines or travel sites. Instead, get an annual policy -- especially if you're a frequent traveler. Abbamonte says his comprehensive policy costs about $400 a year and covers everything, including stolen baggage.
That's a big concern if you're flying out of Kennedy Airport in New York. JFK had more luggage theft claims than any other airport from 2010 to 2014, according to a CNN study.

Impressions of my 2 week trip in Myanmar... Wow! What an amazing country! Traveling to Myanmar was one of the most amazing countries I have been to. I would say, it was very "adventurous" :). It felt like the time stood still there. The Burmese people is my favourite memory of Myanmar. Always smiley, curious and very friendly. As a tourist, especially as a western one (I guess), you are a walking attraction. You constantly have to do photographs with huge families ;). Maybe Myanmar will be your next destination?

Vogler
The Vogler is a range of hills, up to 460.4 m high, in the Weser Uplands in southern Lower Saxony (Germany).
Together with the Solling, the Vogler forms the Solling-Vogler Nature Park which lies a couple of kilometres further south.
Geography
The Vogler is located in the district of Holzminden between the hills of the Ith to the north, the Hils to the northeast, the Homburg Forest to the east, the Amtsberge to the southeast, the Solling to the south and the Burgberg to the south-southwest. It also lies in the triangle formed by the towns of Bevern, Bodenwerder and Eschershausen. The River Weser flows by the Vogler to the west heading north to the North Sea. To the north the Lenne, a western tributary of the Weser runs past in a northwesterly direction.
The Vogler drops steeply to the Weser through a height of 220 m. Nestling in its northern foothills is the village of Heinrichshagen, where Henry the Fowler was supposed to have trapped birds.
Geology
The underlying rocks of the Vogler stem from the Bunter sandstone geological period.

Georg Joseph Vogler
Georg Joseph Vogler, also known as Abbé Vogler (June 15, 1749 – May 6, 1814), was a German composer, organist, teacher and theorist. In a long career and colorful career extending over many more nations and decades than was usual at the time, Vogler established himself as a foremost experimenter in baroque and early classic music. His greatest successes came as performer and designer for the organ at various courts and cities around Europe, as well as a teacher, attracting highly successful and devoted pupils such as Carl Maria von Weber. His career as a music theorist and composer however was mixed, with contemporaries such as Mozart believing Vogler to have been a charlatan. Despite his mixed reception in his own life, his highly-original contributions in many areas of music (particularly musicology and organ theory) and influence on his pupils endured, and combined with his eccentric and adventurous career, prompted one historian to summarize Vogler as "one of the most bizarre characters in the history of music".

Summer vacation is almost her, but it's not too late to get a good deal on travel, especially if you ignore two common travel beliefs: don't go to Europe in the summer and don't take travel insurance. You can and you should do both this year.

Trying to figure out where to fly? Thanks to the strong U.S. dollar, Europe is the spot. Flights may still be expensive, but you'll spend less once you're in Europe thanks to the exchange rate.
Lee Abbamonte is the youngest American to visit every country in the world. He says you can save even more money if you avoid tourist traps like Italy, France, and Spain. Instead, he suggests either Central Europe or Eastern Europe. Some of his favorite places are the Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Croatia, and Montenegro. Abbamonte says those counties are beautiful and much less crowded in the summer.
If you do anything before you leave the country do this: get travel insurance, Abbamonte says. But skip the plans offered by the airlines or travel sites. Instead, get an annual policy -- especially if you're a frequent traveler. Abbamonte says his comprehensive policy costs about $400 a year and covers everything, including stolen baggage.
That's a big concern if you're flying out of Kennedy Airport in New York. JFK had more luggage theft claims than any other airport from 2010 to 2014, according to a CNN study.

Impressions of my 2 week trip in Myanmar... Wow! What an amazing country! Traveling to Myanmar was one of the most amazing countries I have been to. I would say, it was very "adventurous" :). It felt like the time stood still there. The Burmese people is my favourite memory of Myanmar. Always smiley, curious and very friendly. As a tourist, especially as a western one (I guess), you are a walking attraction. You constantly have to do photographs with huge families ;). Maybe Myanmar will be your next destination?

Rich Vogler is killed during a 1990 race at Salem Speedway. ___________________________________________ Unfortunately big league success would never be at Vogler's reach. On that Michigan 500 he had a huge shunt after tangling with another car in the very second lap of the race. The impact with Turn 3 wall was immense, and he was very seriously injured. A cerebral commotion and several brain lesions almost took his life. Most were sure that he would never recover -- and even this seemed an optimistic prognostic. But Rich was a true racer. Somehow he not only survived but -- to everyone's surprise -- was back to the seat by the end of the season. But Rich was a true racer. Somehow he not only survived but -- to everyone's surprise -- was back to the seat by the end of the season. But he would not be two times lucky: on 21 July 1990 he was leading a USAC sprint car race at Salem Speedway, in Indiana, with little more than one lap to go, when he made contact with the right rear of Wayne Hammond's car and vaulted into the fouth turn fence. His helmet was torn off in the impact and Rich suffered head injuries that killed him instantly. The race was immediately halted and he was posthumously declared the winner.
