Lille (French pronunciation: [lil] ( listen); Dutch: Rijsel) is a city in northern France (French Flanders). It is the principal city of the Lille Métropole, the fourth-largest metropolitan area in the country behind those of Paris, Lyon and Marseille. Lille is situated on the Deûle River, near France's border with Belgium. It is the capital of the Nord-Pas de Calais region and the prefecture of the Nord department.
The city of Lille, which annexed Lomme on 27 February 2000, had a population of 226,014 at the 2006 census. Meanwhile, the Lille Métropole, which also includes Roubaix, Tourcoing and numerous suburban communities, had a population of 1,091,438. The eurodistrict of Lille-Kortrijk, which also includes the areas of the Belgian cities of Kortrijk, Tournai, Mouscron and Ypres, had 1,905,000 residents.[citation needed]
The legend of "Lydéric and Phinaert" puts the foundation of the city of "L'Isle" at 640. Although the first mention of the town appears in archives from the year 1066, some archeological digs seem to show the area as inhabited by as early as 2000 BC[citation needed], most notably in the modern-day quartiers of Fives, Wazemmes, and Old Lille.

Plot
The story of a young, pregnant woman whose world falls apart when she loses her child in a hit and run accident. As her life unravels,Nathalie finds an unlikely protector in Henry, a down and out guardian angel who has followed her thread. But Henry is not quite the angel he seems...
Henry Welles: Sometimes I wonder how I got to be this person. It's like, you have a version in your head of who you think you are. And then one day you realize, maybe you aren't that. Even though you think you're really kind, and good a heart... Really you're just the sum total of a bunch of bad decisions and stupid behavior.::Nathalie: Henry, you are one of the kindest people I know, and no amount of stupidity could change that.
Nathalie: [about playing hopscotch] This is ridiculous.::Henry Welles: So is life.
Nathalie: What do you do?::Henry Welles: I'm a locksmith. Not technically, but sort of legally and linguistically challenged, so...
Henry Welles: You think I'd be willing to spend the rest of my life in jail because of an accident? Don't give me that much credit, I'm not that big of a man. I came back because of you, I came back because I knew if I didn't stand in front of you and apologize I wouldn't ever be able to live with myself. Now I don't know if that's conscience or love, but I do know that I'm not going to jail for my conscience. I'm going to jail for you.::Nathalie: That's not what I want. I don't want that.::Henry Welles: I know, but... it's the only thing I can give you.
Nathalie: Henry, I can't forgive you... Just can't...::Henry Welles: No... I know, I'm not even asking you to. I just... I wanted to tell you that I'm sorry.
Plot
The life and times of the Scandinavian artists' colony who lived in Skagen on the Danish coast during the 1890s. Not so much a biographical account, rather a portrait of a way of life. The painters became famous for the way they used the light in their work, and this has also been mirrored in the cinematography.

He went to sea for the day
He wanted to know what to say
When he's asked what he'd done
In the past to someone
That he loves endlessly
Now she's gone, so is he
I went to war every morning
I lost my way but now I'm following
What you said in my arms
What I read in the charms
That I love durably
Now it's dead and gone and I am free
I went to sleep for the daytime
I shut my eyes to the sunshine
Turned my head away from the noise
Bruise and drip decay of childish toys
That I loved arguably
All our labouring gone to seed
Went out to play for the evening
We wanted to hold onto the feeling
On the stretch in the sun
And our breathlessness as we run
To the beach endlessly
