Guimarães (Portuguese pronunciation: [ɡimɐˈɾɐ̃jʃ]) is a northern Portuguese city located in the district of Braga, in the Ave Subregion (one of the more industrialized subregions of the country), with a population of 52 181 inhabitants, distributed throughout 20 parishes (freguesias in Portuguese), in an urban area of 23,5 km² with a population density of 2 223,9/km².
It is the seat of a municipality with an area of 241,05 km² and 162 636 inhabitants (2008), divided in 69 parishes. The municipality is bordered to the north by the municipality of Póvoa de Lanhoso, to the east by Fafe, to the south by Felgueiras, Vizela and Santo Tirso, to the west by Vila Nova de Famalicão and the northwest by Braga.
It is an historical city that had an important role in the formation of Portugal and it was settled in the 9th century, at which time it was called Vimaranes. This denomination might have had its origin in the warrior Vímara Peres, when he chose this area as the main government seat for the County of Portugal which he conquered for the Kingdom of Galicia.
Ola John (born 19 May 1992) is a Liberian-born Dutch footballer who plays as a winger for Sport Lisboa e Benfica, in the Portuguese Liga.
As a 2-year-old Ola fled with his mother and brothers from Liberia to the Netherlands. His father was killed during the bloody First Liberian Civil War. He did not return to the African continent until the Youth World Championship in Nigeria in 2009. Like his brothers Collins and Paddy, Ola joined the youth academy of FC Twente.
The 2011-12 season was the big breaktrough for Ola at Twente, as he got a starting place from Co Adriaanse at the start of the season, and did not lose that even with competition for the left forward position, as Nacer Chadli returned from injury. He also topped the UEFA Europa League group stage assist rankings with six assists. In Twente's home match in the Europa League against Odense BK on 3 November, John provided all three assists in a 3-2 win. John was influential in the Eredivisie campaign as well, netting two goals in a 6-2 victory over FC Utrecht on 4 December 2011.
Danilo Gentili Junior, better known as Danilo Gentili (Santo André, September 27, 1979) is an advertiser, comedian, writer, cartoonist, reporter, businessman and talk-show host. Has emerged in Brazil as part of the comedy TV show CQC Brasil, Rede Bandeirantes and recently has got his own talk-show, Agora é Tarde.
Danilo Gentili graduated in 2003 in Social Communication - Advertising UniABC. In 2006 he founded a comedy show called Comedia ao Vivo,. That same year, he joined the Stand-Up Comedy group Clube da Comédia. Danilo is a cartoonist and caricaturist. Wrote a column on Mondays for one of the newspapers with more printed issues in Brazil, Metro. In 2008 he was awarded 'Paulistano of the Year' by Veja megazine and collaborated with the largest circulation magazine in Brazil, Mad. In 2010, alongside his comedy partner Rafinha Bastos and producer Ítalo Gusso, opened at Rua Augusta in São Paulo, the first American style comedy club in Brazil, called Comedians Comedy Club.
After a few appearances on TV, he was invited to participate in comedy TV show called Custe o que Custar (CQC), on TV Bandeirantes. On his “audition”, which was actually his first interview, he left the singer Agnaldo Timóteo on an awkward situation with all his nonsense questions. That interview paid off. It was a big success. What was supposed to be a temporary job, turned out to be his great starting point on TV.
Plot
In Rio de Janeiro, the bankrupted Roberto meets his wealthy friend Guimarães to propose a business and he learns that Guimarães has a lover, Leninha, and his wife suspects him and intends to hire a private detective to investigate his affair. Roberto proposes that Leninha moves to his home to live with his dysfunctional family to cover up the situation. In return, Guimarães pays Roberto's debts and hires him to work in his company. Roberto's son Carlinhos pimps the widow Gilda; his daughter Vanda works in a brothel; his younger son Kiko has gay friends. They welcome Leninha, but Roberto's wife and his father-in-law loath the situation. When Carlinhos and Leninha fall in love with each other, they flee to the apartment of Carlinhos' friend Bilu. But the vile Roberto finds a means to bring his son and Leninha back home.
