Raden Nike Ratnadilla (27 December 1975 – 19 March 1995), commonly known as Nike Ardilla, was a rock singer popular within her home country who originated from Bandung in the West Javan province of Indonesia. Ardilla died in a car accident in Bandung at the age of 19 during what has been considered the zenith of her musical career. Known as a singer prodigy, Ardilla's name remains well-known throughout Indonesia and she still remains, to the present day, a musical performer, movie star and model with one of the most successful careers in the history of the Indonesian entertainment industry.

Nike Ardilla has been referred to as the "First Lady in the Indonesian Music Industry", a testament to the celebrity's continuing status.

Ardilla drove the return of teen pop Rock in the late '80s, more than any other artists of her time. Being not only are celebrity, she was a bona fide pop phenomenon and media fixture regardless of her humble backgrounds. Among female singers of the era, many of which followed her footsteps, she was known as the most influential. From the outset, Ardilla's general appeal was an important part of her image. Ardilla's debut album, titled Seberkas Sinar, was released in 1989. Once the ubiquitous lead single died down, the album kept spinning off hits: Number one single "Seberkas Sinar", the Top 10 ballad "Cinta Pertama", and the Top 5 "Tembang Asmara".

To date, she has garnered more than 200 local awards as well as international awards. She rose to fame as a multiple-platinum selling artist, since her winning of Bintang HMI 1995 when she was only 16 where she was given offers in form of singing contract from four different international recording companies. Her first single, Jerat Percintaan from her debut album won the 11th Anugerah Juara Lagu and another two awards for Best Performance and Best Ballad.. In her career she had recorded and sings in languages, including Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin, Arabic, Hindustan and Japanese.

Sarah Ann McLachlan, OC, OBC (born January 28, 1968) is a Canadian musician, singer and songwriter. Known for her emotional ballads and mezzo-soprano vocal range, as of 2009, she has sold over 40 million albums worldwide. McLachlan's best-selling album to date is Surfacing, for which she won two Grammy Awards (out of four nominations) and four Juno Awards. In addition to her personal artistic efforts, she founded the Lilith Fair tour, which showcased female musicians. The Lilith Fair concert tours took place from 1997 to 1999, and resumed in the summer of 2010. Since 2006 she has also been known as a highly visible supporter of the ASPCA, as well as various other charities.

Sarah McLachlan was born on January 28, 1968, and adopted in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. As a child, she took voice lessons, along with studies in classical piano and guitar. When she was 17 years old and still a student at Queen Elizabeth High School, she fronted a short-lived rock band called The October Game. One of the band's songs, "Grind", credited as a group composition, can be found on the independent Flamingo Records release Out of the Fog and the CD Out of the Fog Too. It has yet to be released elsewhere. Her high school yearbook predicted that she was "destined to become a famous rock star."

Clarkson came into prominence after becoming the winner of the inaugural season of the television series American Idol in 2002 and later was the runner-up in the television special World Idol in 2003.

Furthermore, it also became her first number one single in the United Kingdom. Clarkson's fifth studio album, Stronger, was released in 2011, containing elements from synthpop, R&B and country music. The album's single, "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" (2012), became her longest number one single and eventually became her best-selling single in the United States.
