The San Francisco Bay Area, commonly known as the Bay Area, is a populated region that surrounds the San Francisco and San Pablo estuaries in Northern California, United States. The region encompasses major cities and metropolitan areas of San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose, along with smaller urban and rural areas. The Bay Area's nine counties are Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma. Home to approximately 7.15 million people, the nine-county Bay Area contains many cities, towns, airports, and associated regional, state, and national parks, connected by a network of roads, highways, railroads, bridges, tunnels and commuter rail. The combined urban area of San Jose and San Francisco is the 53rd largest urban area in the world.

The nine-county definition of the San Francisco Bay Area is not recognized by the United States Census Bureau; rather, they define a larger 11-county Combined Statistical Area (CSA) designated the San Jose-San Francisco-Oakland, CA CSA, including Santa Cruz and San Benito counties to the south; counties that do not have a border on the San Francisco Bay. This larger CSA contains 7.46 million people—the sixth-largest CSA in the U.S.

Dominic Newton (born August 12, 1977), better known by his stage name The Jacka, is an American rapper from Richmond, California. The Jacka got his start in Pittsburg, California with his group, Mob Figaz, whose first album, C-Bo's Mob Figaz, was released in 1999. Newton converted to Islam at a young age and changed his name to Shaheed Akbar. He currently runs his own label entitled The Artist Records.

He began his career with the Pittsburg group Mob Figaz, their first album, C-Bo's Mob Figaz, was released in 1999 and was a minor hit on the Billboard Hip Hop chart entering in at #63 but it sold fairly well making 160,000 units sold. His first solo release Jacka of the Mob Figaz in 2001 sold over 30,000 units. Jacka sold these units himself, in the Bay Area and shipping to one-stops across the country. Though great support came from the Bay Area, sixty percent of Jacka's sales came from outside of California. In 2005 The Jacka released his second solo album The Jack Artist but failed to chart.In 2009 the Jacka came out with his third solo album "Tear Gas" making it #93 on the billboard chart

Other Black is an ethnicity category used by the Office of National Statistics in the United Kingdom. It is one of three "Black or Black British" ethnicity options used in ONS statistics, alongside Black African and Black Caribbean.

The term was used in the 1991 UK Census and the 2001 UK Census. According to the 2001 Census, 97,585 UK residents selected the Other Black category to describe their ethnicity.

As of 2009, ONS estimates suggest that approximately 124,500 Other Black people are now resident in England.

Gerald Earl Gillum (born May 24, 1989) better known by his stage name G-Eazy is an American rapper, songwriter and producer most known for his sample of the 1960s hit Runaround Sue.

Born and raised in Oakland and Berkeley, Gillum has gained recognition as part of the growing hip hop scene in the area, joining artists such as Lil B and The Cataracs. Having an interest in making music at a young age G-Eazy put together a local group known as the 'Bay Boyz' who released a number songs via their Myspace page. He began to produce a number of singles as a sophomore while attending Loyola University.

With success from his earlier mixtapes, Gillum continued to release further songs, notably "Waspy" and "Candy Girl". The latter as of 2011 having attained over 400,000 plays via Myspace. Continuing to combine both his studies and music, 2009 saw G-Eazy nominated for the annual mtvU Best Music on Campus Woodie; however, the award went instead to indie pop band Hotel of the Laughing Tree.

Late 2010 saw Gillum being handed the opportunity of appearing as an opening act for the rapper Drake at the Gibson Amphitheater. In recent years, he has opened for a number of other artists such as Lil Wayne and Snoop Dogg.

Mario Mims (born May 19, 1981), better known by his stage name Yo Gotti, is a southern rapper from the northern side of Memphis, Tennessee who was previously known as Lil Yo.

Yo Gotti released a string of independent albums. From Da Dope Game 2 Da Rap Game (2000),Self-Explanatory (2001), Life (2003) and Back 2 da Basics (2006) Yo Gotti became very well known in Memphis after the release of his album Life. The song "Dirty South Soldiers" featuring Lil Jon propelled Gotti into the higher ranks of Memphis rappers. The album Back 2 da Basics had even more success. The singles "I Got 'Em", "Full Time", "Shawty", & "Gangsta Party" featuring 8Ball & MJG solidified his status as one of the top rappers from the city.

Yo Gotti's first studio album is called Live From The Kitchen. The album's original first single was titled ""5 Star"" and it was released on May 20, 2009. The single peaked at 79 on the Hot 100, 19 on U.S R&B and 11 on U.S Rap. "Women Lie, Men Lie" was the second official single released December 11, 2009. The song peaked at 81 on 100, 22 on the U.S R&B and 12 on the U.S Rap. "Look In the Mirror" was the third single released 7 months after his second single on July 27, 2010. The song peaked at 97 on the U.S R&B chart "For the Hood" featured rapper Gucci Mane it was released on October 1, 2010 and charted at 86 on the U.S R&B chart. "We Can Get It On" was released May 10, 2011, and the single featured R&B singer Ciara. It peaked at 40 on the U.S R&B Chart. "Single" was released on August 5, 2011. This song is said to be the first "official" single off the album, all the others would be cut from the album. The second single will be a song with rapper Drake, entitled by "All About Mine", produced by Giarad Fleetwood.
