Don't miss great political theater, (as in real theatre, not presidential debates,) by the Rorschach Theater troupe, at Casa Del Pueblo/Calvary Methodist Church, through November 21, 2004.
This remake of Dario Fo's satire from 1960's Italy, on the investigation into a political assassination of an Anarchist by the Italian police, and the cover-up by government officials, is strewn with references to color coded terror levels, My Pet Goat, Abu Grahib, mixed with Marx Brother's slapstick.

Y'know, I love Lewis Carroll, and Saturday Night Live, honest I do. Still, this doesn't mean that I enjoy actually living in a Lewis Carroll story -- specifically, the Queen Of Hearts' court scene -- and can't make it stop, nor do I enjoy the sensation of being trapped in an SNL sketch that never ends, and can't find the remote. |

Though very cognitive of the fact that over the past 10-15 years and almost like clockwork every weekend and especially on Halloween, but every holiday as well, and in what I call a form of institutionalized racism, while most would themselves engage in the 'festivities', they'd simultaneously set out to specifically negatively reinforce but control me. |

This has been a devastating year for the Haitian people's struggle for democracy. Democracy activists are under brutal attack in Haiti or in exile. Political prisoners fill the jails, executed bodies fill the morgues and families fleeing persecution sleep each night in a different place. An unconstitutional regime installed by foreign powers displaced Haiti's nine-year experiment in elected government. The disbanded Haitian army is again on the march, commandeering police stations, patrolling with assault rifles and resuming its trademark brutality against the defenseless. |
