Hair is a filamentous biomaterial, that grows from follicles found in the dermis. Hair is one of the defining characteristics of mammals, but is also found in other animals.
The human body, apart from areas of glabrous skin, is covered in follicles which produce thick terminal and fine vellus hair. Most common interest in hair is focused on hair growth, hair types and hair care, but hair is also an important biomaterial primarily composed of protein, notably keratin. In many human societies, women predominantly grow the hair on their head long while men cut theirs short.
The word "hair" often refers to two distinct structures:
Hair fibers have a structure consisting of several layers. Starting from the outside:
Each strand of hair is made up of the medulla, cortex, and cuticle. The innermost region, the medulla, is not always present and is an open, unstructured region. The highly structural and organized cortex, or middle layer of the hair, is the primary source of mechanical strength and water uptake. The cortex contains melanin, which colors the fiber based on the number, distribution and types of melanin granules. The shape of the follicle determines the shape of the cortex, and the shape of the fiber is related to how straight or curly the hair is. Asian hair typically has a round fiber and is quite straight. Oval and irregularly shaped fibers are generally more wavy or even curly. The cuticle is the outer covering. Its complex structure slides as the hair swells and is covered with a single molecular layer of lipid that makes the hair repel water. The diameter of human hair varies from 17 to 180 micrometers (0.00067 to 0.0071 in).
Long hair is a hairstyle. Exactly what constitutes long hair can change from culture to culture, or even within cultures. For example, a woman with chin-length hair in some cultures may be said to have short hair, while a man with the same length of hair in some of the same cultures would be said to have long hair.
Scientists view long hair as playing a large part in natural selection among many species, since long, thick and healthy hair or fur is frequently a sign of fertility and youth. As hair grows slowly, long hair reveals several years of a person's health status and reproductive fitness. Hair length is significantly correlated with female attractiveness, as rated by men as well as women. Hair length and quality can act as a cue to especially a woman's youth and health, signifying reproductive potential. The prevalence of trichophilia (hair partialism or fetischism) is 7% in the population, and very long hair is a common subject of devotion in this group.
Ways of life often viewed as more rigid, such as soldiers and religious cultures, often have explicit rules regarding hair length. For example, Buddhist monks shave their heads as part of their order of worship. Even outside religious structures, cultures often associate male long hair with ways of life outside of what is culturally accepted. Subservient cultures, for example, are sometimes detected by their rulers through hair length, as was the case with the Gaelic Irish under English rule and the Moors under Spanish rule in Medieval Spain.

Luke: [from trailer] What is it that you love about dance?::Natalie: Everything you need to know is in my dancing.::Luke: Everything?
Luke: [from trailer] You up for a little competition?::Natalie: I never lose.
Moose: [from trailer] People dance because dance can change things. One move, can bring people together. One move, can make you believe like there's something more. One move, can set a whole generation free.
Luke: [from trailer] Some people learn to dance... Others are born to.
Luke: [from trailer] Welcome to my house.
Moose: I was born to be the Ashley to your Mary-Kate.
Jason: I was born from a boom box.
Moose: You know, some famous guy once said: "To Travel is better than to arrive." And I was like, "What?" Because I used to think that there was only one path to take to where you want to be in life. But, if you choose that one path, it doesn't mean you have to abandon all the other ones.I realize it actually what happens along the way that counts; the stumbles, the falls, and the friendships. It's the journey and not the destination. You just gotta, I guess, trust that the future is gonna work itself out like it's supposed to.
Moose: One move can give a skinny, curly haired kid hope... hope that he's something special.

Plot
Following the death of her parents, teen-aged Andie West is living with her mother's best friend, Sarah. Andie, who doesn't care about school, is trying to figure out where she fits in in life. The only thing she loves is dancing with her street crew, the 410, led by Tuck. The 410 are the most notorious of the street crews in Baltimore and are wanted by the police for their acts of vandalism and public mischief. Sarah threatens to send Andie to live with relatives in Texas unless she cleans up her act, which includes ending her association with the 410 and trying harder at school. Andie's neighborhood friend, Tyler Gage, convinces Andie to audition for entry into the Maryland School of the Arts (MSA), an institution which ended up turning his life around for the better. Andie passes the audition but isn't sure she fits in there. The school's director, Blake Collins, isn't sure she fits in there either. Blake is a brilliant dancer but looks for conformity to his way. After learning that Andie's absences from rehearsals are due to her new association with MSA, Tuck kicks her out of the 410. Chase Collins, a dance student at MSA, convinces Andie to start her own street dance crew using all the dance misfits from MSA i.e. those that don't conform to Blake's way of thinking. Chase feels like he's one of those misfits being Blake's brother and living in his shadow. This new association brings up a few conflicts within Andie, as her new dance crew tries to gain respect on the streets, especially among her old and judgmental friends, and as she and the crew try to hide the fact of what they're doing from Blake, who ultimately threatens expulsion from the school of anyone participating in the illegal street competitions.

It's not where you're from. It's where you're at.
[from trailer]::Chase Collins: She has more talent, more conviction than anyone else I know!
Andie: Look, the streets is about where you're from. It's not some school talent show. There's no spring floors. There's no spotlights to use what you got and... what makes you think you got it, huh?::Chase Collins: Aren't you late for something, Andie?::[Andie gets angry and turns around and leaves]::Chase Collins: [smiles] Bye Andie West!::[Andie turns around to see him]
Chase Collins: So that's it, huh?::Andie: [sighs] I guess so...
Jenny Kido: Oooo, he got da key!
Chase Collins: You're an amazing little dancer, you know that right?::Andie: Little?
Smiles: Yeah, they wanted me to fix my teeth.::Jenny Kido: I like you teeth!::Smiles: Thanks, I like your accent.::Jenny Kido: What accent?::Smiles: That accent you got... You have an accent.
Andie: I remember the first time I saw someone move like they were from another planet, I couldn't keep my eyes away. I was little mom took me to a jam session in the neighborhood, it started off small but word spread and soon some of the best dancers around were showing up to compete in something they eventually called the streets. It became home, I got a front row seat to history. I wanted to glide and spin and fly like they did, but it didn't come easy. My mom would tell me don't give up, just be you, because life's too short to be anybody else. She was right. When I was 16 my mom got sick and in a couple months she was gone. Everything changed, including the streets.
Jenny Kido: [to Andie] We don't want you!
Chase Collins: [to an distressed Andie] Good Morning Sunshine!
Chase Collins: They just hatin' on you cause you dope.
Plot
Summer 1870 : Baroness Clotilda dei Lucanigro and her cousin Gesualda are in church in their small Napolitan village. Outside the church a bunch of beggars can be found. A bouncing football crosses the frame. Spectator was cheated on : they just discovered the first scenes of a film being shot for the Belgian Television. The two ladies stop their acting. The director shouts « cut ! » Certain is a tension on the shooting : one of the actors (Gaël) hasn't yet arrived in Italy, and the planning may have to be reconsidered. Also the film is being shot in Piedmont with a Napolitan background, which historically is a non-sense and villagers don't approve. Eric, the actor impersonating a priest, has a crush on Paolo, a young Italian boy who is always around with his girlfriend. Little by little, Eric will seduce Paolo and open his mind to his real himself. But Gaël won't come, and the films must stop : everybody is to go back to Brussels. Paolo stays in his village, but his life has changed.
Nick is about to discover the first rule of filmmaking: if at first you don't succeed... PANIC!
He only needs three things to get through the day ... an espresso, an aspirin, and a miracle.
Nick: Great! I freak in your dream, I freak out in my dream, no wonder I'm so fucking exhausted.
Chad: What did you call me?::Nick: You heard me. I called you a "Hostess Twinkie motherfucker," motherfucker!
[Little person Tito is not happy with the dream sequence]::Tito: Why does my character have to be a dwarf?::Nick: He doesn't have to be.::Tito: Then why is he? Is that the only way you can make this a dream, to put a dwarf in it?::Nick: No, Tito, I...::Tito: Have you ever had a dream with a dwarf in it? Do you know anyone who's had a dream with a dwarf in it? No! I don't even have dreams with dwarves in them. The only place I've seen dwarves in dreams is in stupid movies like this! "Oh make it weird, put a dwarf in it!". Everyone will go "Woah, this must be a fuckin' dream, there's a fuckin' dwarf in it!". Well I'm sick of it! You can take this dream sequence and stick it up your ass!
[Tito doesn't laugh when he's supposed to]::Nick: Cut! Tito... Didn't feel like laughing, did ya?::Tito: I did.::Nick: Oh. Guess I missed it.
Nick: Hey Bob, you think you can make any more noise with the dolly you creaky motherfucker !
Nick: Bob, what the fuck is with that smoke, man? Whaddya got in there, a couple of hamsters blowing smoke rings, ferchrissakes?
Chad: Hey Wolf, is this my mark?::Wolf: Until you fucking change it.
Nick: There needs to be more tension when you see him.::Nicole Springer: I thought I wasn't supposed to see him.::Nick: Well, maybe you see him a little.
Wanda: Is everybody hurt? Is anyone okay?
Chad: Roll that motherfucking camera, Wolfie!::Wolf: Kiss my ass!::Chad: YEAH!

White boys give me goose bumps
White boys give me chills

Our lives, I fashion my future on films in space

To judge a girl by the length of her hair
Take two words like "hip" and "square"

You can't judge nobody by hair

Give a home to the fleas in my hair
A home for fleas, a hive for bees, a nest for birds
There ain't no words for the beauty, the splendor, the wonder of my
Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair
I want it long, straight, curly, fuzzy
Snaggy, shaggy, ratty, matty
Oily, greasy, fleecy, shining
Gleaming, streaming, flaxen, waxen
Knotted, polka-dotted
Twisted, beaded, braided
Powdered, flowered, and confettied
Bangled, tangled, spangled, and spaghettied
Oh say, can you see my eyes?
If you can then my hair's too short?
Down to here
Down to there
Down to where
It stops by itself
They'll be ga ga at the go go
When they see me in my toga
My toga made of blond
Brilliantined, Biblical hair
My hair like Jesus wore it
Hallelujah, I adore it
Hallelujah, Mary loved her son
Why don't my mother love me?
Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it, long as God can grow it
My hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Hello, how are you?
Like your shoes, love your hair.
Hello, how are you?
Love that shirt, you look great.
Hello, how are you?
Love your pants and your smile.
Hello, how are you?
How's your wife and your kids?
Hello, how are you?
Love that hat on your head.
Hello, how are you?
Missed you so; it's nice to see ya.
All we have at the end of the game
Is a lonely road out.
All I know at the end of the day
Is the love to smile now, even if that's fake.
All I know is I'm done acting
And I'll be happy for your life, even if I hate it all
Wait for me, I've got to see
The looks that you will get
When you turn down the key
To the town and your social being.
All we have at the end of the game
Is a lonely road out
All I know at the end of the day
Is the love to smile now, even if that's fake
All I know is I'm done acting
And I'll be happy for your life, even if I hate it all
All we have at the end of the game
Is a lonely road out
All I know at the end of the day
Is the love to smile now, even if that's fake
All I know is I'm done acting
And I'll be happy for your life, even if I hate it all
Hello, how are you?
Like your shoes, love your hair.
Hello, how are you?
Love that shirt, you look great.
Hello, how are you?
I'm in disarray, I'm unkempt
And I love this sugar, yeah, this is what you do
When you run your fingers through my hair
In the morning, I'm feeling like a sexy superstar
Whoa, whoa, you rock my party, wanna make me say whoo hoo
You're the only one that keeps me singing la, la, la
I love to smell your T-shirt, I like the way you are
But most of all, I like it, like it
I like what you do to my hair
Who knew that looking a mess could feel so good
I like what you do to my hair
Tousle it, tease it, run your fingers through it
Oh, how you do, now go and mess it up, mess it up
Baby, mess it up, mess it up, mess it up
Do it till I can't get enough, oh
I like what you do to my hair
Who knew that looking a mess could feel so good
I'm unperfect, so un-me
But I love it, sugar, see this is what you do
You get my ponytail to sag, my bangs are laughable
But I don't mind 'cause I think it's kinda super cool
Whoa, whoa, you rock my party, wanna make me say whoo hoo
You're the only one that keeps me singing la, la, la
I love to smell your T-shirt, I like the way you are
But most of all, I like it, like it
I like what you do to my hair
Who knew that looking a mess could feel so good
I like what you do to my hair
Tousle it, tease it, run your fingers through it
Oh, how you do, now go and mess it up, mess it up
Baby, mess it up, mess it up, mess it up
Do it till I can't get enough, oh
I like what you do to my hair
Who knew that looking a mess could feel so good
Tonight, I'm gonna fix it up real nice
My Shirley Temple curls, I want you to mess it up
I'll put on a bow 'cause I want you to know
That you've got your name on my heart, you're wicked bad
And I like the way that you do it, baby
I like what you do to my hair
Who knew that looking a mess could feel so good
I like what you do to my hair
Tousle it, tease it, run your fingers through it
Oh, how you do, now go and mess it up, mess it up
Baby, mess it up, mess it up, mess it up
Do it till I can't get enough, oh
I like what you do to my hair
You know kids, I wish every mom
and dad would make a speech to their
teenagers and say kids, be free,
be whatever you are, do whatever you
want to do, just so long as you don't hurt anybody.
And remember kids,
I am your friend.
I would just like to say that it is my conviction
That longer hair and other flamboyant affectations
Of appearance are nothing more
Than the male's emergence from his drab camoflage
Into the gaudy plumage
Which is the birthright of his sex
There is a peculiar notion that elegant plumage
And fine feathers are not proper for the male
When ac---tually
That is the way things are
In most species
Ripped open by metal explosion
Caught in barbed wire
Fireball
Bullet shock
Bayonet
Electricity
Shrapnel
Throbbing meat
Electronic data processing
Black uniforms
Bare feet, carbines
Mail-order rifles
Shoot the muscles

It's a dirty little war

I believe in love
I believe in love
I believe in love
I believe in love
I believe that now is the time
For all good men
To believe in love
I believe that now is the time
For all good men to come to the aide of
My country tis of thee
Sweet land of liberty
God saaaaave...
I believe in love...
Do you believe in love?
I do believe in love
You better believe in love
I believe that now is the time
For all good men
To believe in love
I believe that now is the time
For all good men to come to the aide of
What do we want?
Peace
And when do we want it?
Now
What do we want?
Freedom
And when do we want it?
Now
Peace now freedom now
Peace now freedom now
Peace now, freedom now..
Whenever I'm dressed cool my parents put up a fight
And if I'm hot shot, mom will cut my hair at night
And in the morning I'm short of my identity
I scream, "Mom and dad, why can't I be who I wanna be, to be?"
I just wanna be myself and I want you to love
Me for who I am
I just wanna be myself and I want you to know
I am my hair
I've had enough, this is my prayer
That I'll die livin' just as free as my hair
I've had enough, this is my prayer
That I'll die livin' just as free as my hair
I've had enough, I'm not a freak
I just keep fightin' to stay cool on the streets
I've had enough, enough, enough
And this is my prayer, I swear
I'm as free as my hair
I'm as free as my hair
I am my hair
I am my hair
Free as my hai-ai-air
Hai-ai-air, hair
Free as my hai-ai-air
Hai-ai-air, hai-ai-air
Sometimes I want some raccoon or red highlights
Just because I want my friends to think I'm dynamite
And on Friday, Rock City High School dance
I've got my bangs to hide that I don't stand a chance, a chance
I just wanna be myself and I want you to love
Me for who I am
I just wanna be myself and I want you to know
I am my hair
I've had enough, this is my prayer
That I'll die livin' just as free as my hair
I've had enough, this is my prayer
That I'll die livin' just as free as my hair
I've had enough, I'm not a freak
I just keep fightin' to stay cool on the streets
I've had enough, enough, enough
And this is my prayer, I swear
I'm as free as my hair
I'm as free as my hair
I am my hair
I am my hair
Free as my hai-ai-air
Hai-ai-air, hair
Free as my hai-ai-air
Hai-ai-air, hai-ai-airr
I just want to be free, I just want to be me
And I want lots of friends that invite me to their parties
Don't want to change and I don't want to be ashamed
I'm the spirit of my hair, it's all the glory that I bear
I'm my hair, I am my hair
I'm my hair, I am my hair
I am my hair, I am my hair, I am my hair
It's all the glory that I bear
I'm my hair, I am my hair
It's all the glory that I bear
I'm my hair, I am my hair
I'm my hair, yeah, yeah
It's all the glory that I bear
I'm my hair, yeah, yeah
It's all the glory that I bear
I'm my hair, yeah, yeah
It's all the glory that I bear
I'm my hair, yeah, yeah
I've had enough, this is my prayer
That I'll die livin' just as free as my hair
I've had enough, this is my prayer
That I'll die livin' just as free as my hair
I've had enough, I'm not a freak
I just keep fightin' to stay cool on the streets
I've had enough, enough, enough
And this is my prayer, I swear
I'm as free as my hair
I'm as free as my hair
I am my hair, I am my hair
Where do I go? Follow the river
Where do I go? Follow the gulls
Where is the something? Where is the someone
That tells me why I live and die?
Where do I go? Follow the children
Where do I go? Follow their smiles
Is there an answer in their sweet faces
That tells me why I live and die?
Follow the wind song, follow the thunder
Follow the neon in young lovers' eyes
Down to the gutter, up to the glitter
Into the city where the truth lies
Where do I go? Follow my heartbeat
Where do I go? Follow my hand
Where do they lead me?
And will I ever discover why I live and die?
Follow the wind song, follow the thunder
Follow the neon in young lovers' eyes
Down to the gutter, up to the glitter
Into the city where the truth lies
Where do I go? Follow my heartbeat
Where do I go? Follow my hand
Where do they lead me?
And will I ever discover why I live and die?
I live and die
Why do I live, why do I die?
Where do I go?
Tell my why, tell me where?
Tell my why, tell me where?
Tell me why?
What a piece of work is man
How noble in reason
How infinite in faculties
In form and moving how express and admirable
In action how like an angel
In apprehension how like a god
The beauty of the world
The paragon of animals
I have of late
But wherefore I know not, lost all my mirth
This goodly frame
The earth seems to me a sterile promontory
This most excellent canopy
The air look you
This brave o'erhanging firmament
This majestical roof
Fretted with golden fire
Why it appears no other thing to me
Than a foul and pestilent congregation
Of vapors
What a piece of work is man
How noble in reason
HAIR
- by Gerome Ragni and James Rado
She asks me why
I'm just a hairy guy
I'm hairy noon and night
Hair that's a fright
I'm hairy high and low
Don't ask me why
Don't know
It's not for lack of bread
Like the Grateful Dead
Darling
Gimme head with hair
Long beautiful hair
Shining, gleaming,
Streaming, flaxen, waxen
Give me down to there hair
Shoulder length or longer
Here baby, there mama
Everywhere daddy daddy
Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair
Let it fly in the breeze
And get caught in the trees
Give a home to the fleas in my hair
A home for fleas
A hive for bees
A nest for birds
There ain't no words
For the beauty, the splendor, the wonder
Of my...
Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair
I want it long, straight, curly, fuzzy
Snaggy, shaggy, ratty, matty
Oily, greasy, fleecy
Shining, gleaming, streaming
Flaxen, waxen
Knotted, polka-dotted
Twisted, beaded, braided
Powdered, flowered, and confettied
Bangled, tangled, spangled, and spaghettied!
Oh say can you see
My eyes if you can
Then my hair's too short
Down to here
Down to there
Down to where
It stops by itself
They'll be ga ga at the go go
When they see me in my toga
My toga made of blond
Brilliantined

My hair like Jesus wore it

Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair

BERGER:
Me and Lucifer
Lucifer and me
Just like the angel that fell
Banished forever to Hell
Today have I been expelled
From high school heaven
Elevator going down
Going down
Going down
Everybody going down
Going down
Going down
This is my doom, my humiliation
October, not June
And it's summer vacation
Such a disgrace
How can i face the nation?
Why should this pain
Bring me such strange elation?
Escalator going down
Going down
Going down
Everybody going down
Going down
Going down
Emancipation proclamation
Oh Dr. Lincoln
My head needs shrinkin'
Lu lu lu lu lu lu Lucifer and me
Doomed from here
To e-ter-ni-ty!
Going up going down
Going down
Going down
Everybody going up
Going down
Going down down down down
Forgive me if I don't cry
It's like the Fourth of July
Thank God that angels can fly
Down down down
Going down down down
Going down down down
People ask me everywhere is that really all your hair, I just tell them that if it ain't well it sure don't mean that no I can't. Just don't believe it's fair to judge a man by the lengh of his hair. Take two words, like hip and square the truth will shine and not your hair. Even the blind can damn near see whats outside you and inside me. Down or high the truth or lie. A weak man's laugh can be a strong man's cry. Black or blond or nappy or fair, you can't judge nobody by hair. If I thought that yyou would care I'd wear a wig up undeer my hair. Down or high the strongmans cry. People everywhere ask is that really all your hair. I just tell them if it ain't well it sure don't mean I can't. I just don't belive it's fair to judge a man by the length of his hair.
Black boys are delicious
Chocolate flavored love
Licorice lips like candy
Keep my cocoa handy
I have such a sweet tooth
When it comes to love
Once I tried a diet of quiet, rest, no sweets
But I went nearly crazy and I went clearly crazy
Because I really craved for chocolate flavored treats
Black boys are nutritious
Black boys fill me up
Black boys are so damn yummy
They satisfy my tummy
I have such a sweet tooth
When it comes to love
Black, black, black, black
Black, black, black, black
Tell me who do you love man?
Tell me what man?
Tell me what's it you love man?
An old fashioned melody
Tell me what's it that moves you?
Tell me what's it that grooves you?
An old fashioned melody
But old songs leave you dead
We sell our souls for bread
We're all encased in sonic armor
Beltin' it out through chrome grenades
Miles and miles of medusan chord
The electronic sonic boom
It's what's happening, baby
It's where it's at daddy
They chain ya and brainwash ya
When you least suspect it
They feed ya mass media
The age is electric
I got the electric blues
I got the electric blues
Thwump, rackety, whomp
Rock, folk rock, rhythm and blues
Electronics explodin', rackety-clack
Thwump, rackety, whomp
Plugged in, turned on
We're all encased in sonic armor
Beltin' it out through chrome grenades
Miles and miles of medusan chord
The electronic sonic boom
It's what's happening, baby
It's where it's at daddy
They chain ya and brainwash ya
When you least suspect it
They feed ya mass media
The age is electric
I got the electric blues
Don't Put it Down
Om mane padme om
On mane padme om
Folding the flag means taking care of the nation.
Folding the flag is putting it to bed for the night.
I fell through a hole in the flag
I'm falling through a hole in the flag
Help!
Don't put it down
Best one around

Welcome sulphur dioxide,
Hello carbon monoxide
The air, the air is everywhere
Breathe deep, while you sleep, breathe deep
Bless you alcohol bloodstream,
Save me nicotine lungsteen
Incense, incense is in the air
Breathe deep, while you sleep, breathe deep

Brought forth upon this here continent a new nation
Oh come on, it's too rock me stokly
Concieved, conceived like we all was
In liberty, and dedicated to the one I love
I mean dedicated to the proposition
That all men, honey, I tell you all men are created equal

To end this beauty?
How dare they try
To end this beauty?
To keep us under foot
They bury us in soot
Pretending it's a chore
To ship us off to war
In this dive
We rediscover sensation
In this dive
We rediscover sensation
Walking in space
We find the purpose of peace
The beauty of life
You can no longer hide

Take two words like ";hip"; and ";square";
The truth will shine and not your hair
Even the blind can almost see
What's outside you and inside me
Down or high, truth or lie
A weak girl's laugh can be
A strong girl's cry
Black or blond or nappy or fair -
You can't judge nobody by hair
If I thought that you would care
I'd wear a wig up under my hair
Down or high, truth or lie
A weak girl's laugh can be
A strong girl's cry
I met a boy called Frank Mills
On September twelfth right here
In front of the Waverly but unfortunately
I lost his address
He was last seen with his friend
A drummer, he resembles George Harrison of the Beatles
But he wears his hair
Tied in a small bow at the back
I love him but it embarrasses me
To walk down the street with him
He lives in Brooklyn somewhere
And wears this white crash helmet
He has golden chains on his leather jacket
And on the back are written the names
'Mary and Mom
And Hell's Angels'
I would gratefully appreciate it
If you see him, tell him
I'm in the park with my girlfriend
And please
Tell him Angela and I
Don't want the two dollars back
Just him
And she still wonders why I'm so insecure she giggles
Because I sleep with the...
can I throw panties on stage, like can I be a fucking groupie
And just fuck you because you're on stage
And other girls want to fuck you?
See bands like us don't get groupies
Noooo?
yeah
you guys are full of shit
No it's not full of shit I mean have you guys ever heard our songs
I mean basically?
That's what I'm saying
Exactly that's what I'm saying
Smile, smile with me, smile with me, smile with me, please won't you...
Oh look at her she's looking as good as dinner
And she's looking back at me as if maybe I'm a winner
I'm in my late twenties little girl don't flirt with me
I've got the capapbilities to program your circutry
You don't have to believe me do yourself a little justice
Don't let slug undercook your muffins
Wait wait wait did I just say that I did must be losing it
Because it almost felt like it might just have some truth in it
Now back to the platter at hand she said she's twenty-one
And quit school to go work for the man
A switch up in the plan now she's happy as a chorus
Cause now she makes rent and now she drives a Taurus
Unwinding hanging out at the bar,
I wonder if she knows that I'm not really a star
She seems to be impressed by lack of an ego and my self-aware style,
I like the way that she smiles
She want to know how I find the words
I do I don't really know but I can lie if you want me to
Angels sing to me in my sleep,
I sold my damaged soul for the magic of speech
And now she's laughing she likes the sarcasm
So naturally I'm asking if she 's got a captain
She says a captain what?
You mean a man at home the answer is no I came to this bar alone
Well heavens to betty enough about boyfriends already
Just trying to keep the conversation petty
Beacuse as much as I would like to play in the forest
Ain't no way this girl is going to break into my fortress
I've never made a practice of introducing the matress
To women that I meet at my own gig
I don't know can't imagine anything as alchohol and hormones
Turning out to be anything big
But babys hella beautiful and even kind of bright
I got the fire of a vampire inside me tonight
Might be alright eveything seems tight
I've got a good buzz and she's giving me the green light
So tell me girl what ya doing after
She says hopefully hanging out with my new favorite rapper
Now wait a minute that's not fair your throwing boulders
I can tell by the way your hair touches your shoulders
Be straight with me and I'll be me with you
I can think of some of us that we should do so if you think
I'm coming home with you tonight you're probably right
You're pobably right a few more beers a couple more laughs
Undressing my past with the questions she asks
Yes, I love cats and I would love to take a bath
If I spent the night would you massage my back
She's closing in for the embrace
And slightly tucks her hand under my face
Her hair smells so good I got to have a taste
Where's your ford let's ditch this place
And in the parking lot she sparked it off
She must be starving for someone to hit the harp
I've never been kissed with such passionate bliss
Porn star damn near tore my lips apart
Honey slow it up hold it up start the car
Let's leave this garage le'ts go to your apartment
Lyndale ave. on the way to the her rest
Her drunk ass turn to look at me and she says
You're so beautiful from the hair to the soles
I know, can't belive that I never met you before
Feels liike I've been waiting for you me whole life
How can people be so heartless?
How can people be so cruel?
Easy to be hard, easy to be cold
How can people have no feelings?
How can they ignore their friends?
Easy to be proud, easy to say no
And especially people who care about strangers
Who care about evil and social injustice
Do you only care about the bleeding crowd?
How about a needing friend? I need a friend
How can people be so heartless?
You know I'm hung up on you
Easy to give in, easy to help out
And especially people who care about strangers
Who say they care about social injustice
Do you only care about the bleeding crowd?
How about a needing friend? I need a friend
How can people have no feelings?
How can they ignore their friends?
Easy to be hard, easy to be cold
Once upon a looking-for-Donna-time
There was a sixteen year old virgin
Oh Donna oh oh Donna oh oh oh
Looking for my Donna
I just got back from looking for Donna
San Francisco
Psychedelic urchin
Oh Donna oh oh Donna oh oh oh
Looking for my Donna
Have you seen
My sixteen year old tattooed woman
Heard a story
She got busted for her beauty oh oh oh
Oh oh!
Once upon a looking-for-Donna-time
There was a sixteen year old virgin
Oh Donna oh oh Donna oh oh oh
Looking for my Donna
I've been to India and saw the yogi light (lie?)
In South America the Indian smoke glows bright
I'm reincarnated and so are we all
And in this lifetime we'll rise
Before we fall
Before we fall
Once upon a looking-for-Donna-time
There was a sixteen year old virgin
Oh Donna oh oh Donna oh oh oh
Looking for my Donna
And I'm going to show her
Life on earth can be sweet
Gonna lay my mutated head (self) at her feet
And I'm gonna love her make love to her
Till the sky turns brown
I'm evolving I'm evolving
Through the drugs
That you put down
Once upon a looking-for-Donna-time
There was a sixteen year old virgin
Oh Donna oh oh Donna oh oh oh
Looking for my Donna
Looking for my Donna
