Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
History (from Greek ἱστορία - historia, meaning "inquiry, knowledge acquired by investigation") is the discovery, collection, organization, and presentation of information about past events. History can also mean the period of time after writing was invented. Scholars who write about history are called historians. It is a field of research which uses a narrative to examine and analyse the sequence of events, and it sometimes attempts to investigate objectively the patterns of cause and effect that determine events. Historians debate the nature of history and its usefulness. This includes discussing the study of the discipline as an end in itself and as a way of providing "perspective" on the problems of the present. The stories common to a particular culture, but not supported by external sources (such as the legends surrounding King Arthur) are usually classified as cultural heritage rather than the "disinterested investigation" needed by the discipline of history. Events of the past prior to written record are considered prehistory.
Genghis Khan (/ˈɡɛŋɡɪs ˈkɑːn/ or /ˈdʒɛŋɡɪs ˈkɑːn/,Mongol: [tʃiŋɡɪs xaːŋ] ( listen); 1162? – August 1227), born Temujin, was the founder and Great Khan (emperor) of the Mongol Empire, which became the largest contiguous empire in history after his death.
He came to power by uniting many of the nomadic tribes of northeast Asia. After founding the Mongol Empire and being proclaimed "Genghis Khan", he started the Mongol invasions that resulted in the conquest of most of Eurasia. These included raids or invasions of the Kara-Khitan Khanate, Caucasus, Khwarezmid Empire, Western Xia and Jin dynasties. These campaigns were often accompanied by wholesale massacres of the civilian populations – especially in Khwarezmia. By the end of his life, the Mongol Empire occupied a substantial portion of Central Asia and China.
Before Genghis Khan died, he assigned Ögedei Khan as his successor and split his empire into khanates among his sons and grandsons. He died in 1227 after defeating the Western Xia. He was buried in an unmarked grave somewhere in Mongolia at an unknown location. His descendants went on to stretch the Mongol Empire across most of Eurasia by conquering or creating vassal states out of all of modern-day China, Korea, the Caucasus, Central Asian countries, and substantial portions of modern Eastern Europe, Russia and the Middle East. Many of these invasions resulted in the large-scale slaughter of local populations, which have given Genghis Khan and his empire a fearsome reputation in local histories.
Benjamin Franklin (January 17, 1706 [O.S. January 6, 1705] – April 17, 1790) was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. A noted polymath, Franklin was a leading author, printer, political theorist, politician, postmaster, scientist, musician, inventor, satirist, civic activist, statesman, and diplomat. As a scientist, he was a major figure in the American Enlightenment and the history of physics for his discoveries and theories regarding electricity. He invented the lightning rod, bifocals, the Franklin stove, a carriage odometer, and the glass 'armonica'. He formed both the first public lending library in America and the first fire department in Pennsylvania.
Franklin earned the title of "The First American" for his early and indefatigable campaigning for colonial unity; as an author and spokesman in London for several colonies, then as the first United States Ambassador to France, he exemplified the emerging American nation. Franklin was foundational in defining the American ethos as a marriage of the practical and democratic values of thrift, hard work, education, community spirit, self-governing institutions, and opposition to authoritarianism both political and religious, with the scientific and tolerant values of the Enlightenment. In the words of historian Henry Steele Commager, "In a Franklin could be merged the virtues of Puritanism without its defects, the illumination of the Enlightenment without its heat." To Walter Isaacson, this makes Franklin "the most accomplished American of his age and the most influential in inventing the type of society America would become."
Steven Allan Spielberg (born December 18, 1946) is an American film director, screenwriter, producer, video game designer, and studio entrepreneur. In a career of more than four decades, Spielberg's films have covered many themes and genres. Spielberg's early science-fiction and adventure films were seen as archetypes of modern Hollywood blockbuster filmmaking. In later years, his films began addressing such issues as the Holocaust, slavery, war and terrorism. He is considered one of the most popular and influential filmmakers in the history of cinema. He is also one of the co-founders of DreamWorks movie studio.
Spielberg won the Academy Award for Best Director for Schindler's List (1993) and Saving Private Ryan (1998). Three of Spielberg's films—Jaws (1975), E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), and Jurassic Park (1993)—achieved box office records, each becoming the highest-grossing film made at the time. To date, the unadjusted gross of all Spielberg-directed films exceeds $8.5 billion worldwide. Forbes puts Spielberg's wealth at $3.0 billion.
Sir Alfred Joseph Hitchcock, KBE (13 August 1899 – 29 April 1980) was an English film director and producer. He pioneered many techniques in the suspense and psychological thriller genres. After a successful career in British cinema in both silent films and early talkies, Hitchcock moved to Hollywood. On 19 April 1955, he became an American citizen while remaining a British subject.
Over a career spanning more than half a century, Hitchcock fashioned for himself a distinctive and recognisable directorial style. He pioneered the use of a camera made to move in a way that mimics a person's gaze, forcing viewers to engage in a form of voyeurism. He framed shots to maximise anxiety, fear, or empathy, and used innovative film editing. His stories frequently feature fugitives on the run from the law alongside "icy blonde" female characters. Many of Hitchcock's films have twist endings and thrilling plots featuring depictions of violence, murder, and crime, although many of the mysteries function as decoys or "MacGuffins" meant only to serve thematic elements in the film and the extremely complex psychological examinations of the characters. Hitchcock's films also borrow many themes from psychoanalysis and feature strong sexual undertones. Through his cameo appearances in his own films, interviews, film trailers, and the television program Alfred Hitchcock Presents, he became a cultural icon. Hitchocks reputation as a filmmaker is offset by claims that he engaged in obsessive and controlling behaviour towards many of his leading ladies, and that in some cases this extended to physical abuse and sexual harrassment.
Ooh Yeah
Ja Si Break it down:C'mon:Yeah
A turn of the key early in the morning
You walk in the room
And I can smell that perfume
You tried to explain that you missed the last train,
(No, No:)
You're the only one to blame
Don't wanna play no more games, Yeah!
Should have seen it coming
Should have read the signs
Didn't give a warning
What did you find?
You've been foolin'way to much around
Never thought you could let me down
Guess I must've been to blind to see
But now your history
Had enough of cheating in my life
Need someone who knows to treat me right
Guess I must've been to blind to see
But now your history
Ooh:Ooh
Now you're history
Ooh:Yeah:Ooh!
I packed your things and left them in the hallway
I hear you curse my name and try to put me to shame
(Shame on you)
Thoughts of you won't ever cross my mind again, no no
I got my number changed
And my heart re-arranged, (ooh)
Should have seen it coming
Should have read the signs
Didn't give a warning
What did you find?
You've been foolin' way to much around
Never thought you could let me down
Guess I must've been to blind to see
But now your history
Had enough of cheating in my life
Need someone who knows to treat me right
Guess I must've been to blind to see
But now your history
I've done enough
Complaining to my friends
Babe I know
You will never ever change
Moving on
And out of my life
I won't be wasting
No more time on you
I don't need you anymore
Won't be making up I'm sure
I am locking up that door
You're history
I won't miss your love at all
When you're gone I'll have a ball
I won't answer when you call
You're history
You've been foolin'way to much around
Never thought you could let me down
Guess I must've been to blind to see
But now your history
Had enough of cheating in my life
Need someone who knows to treat me right
Guess I must've been to blind to see
But now your history
You've been foolin'way to much around
Never thought you could let me down
Guess I must've been to blind to see
But now your history
Had enough of cheating in my life
Need someone who knows to treat me right
Guess I must've been to blind to see
It's been a bad day, you've been looking back
All you can see is everything you wish you could take back
All your mistakes, a world of regrets
All of those moments you would rather forget
I know it's hard to believe
Let me refresh your memory
Yesterday is history and history is miles away
So leave it all behind you
Let it always remind you of the day
The day that love made history
You know you can't stay right where you fell
The hardest part is forgiving yourself
But let's take a walk into today
And don't let your past get in the way
'Cause yesterday is history and history is miles away
So leave it all behind you
Let it always remind you of the day
The day that love made history
Would you believe that you are history
In the making, in the making
Every choice that you are making
Every step that you are taking
Every chain that you are breaking
History is in the making
Every word that you are saying
Every prayer that you are praying
Every chain that you are breaking
History is in the making
History is in the making
History is in the making
Yesterday is history and history is miles away
So leave it all behind you
Let it always remind you of the day
The day that love made history
History is in the making
Every word that you are saying
Every prayer that you are praying
Every chain that you are breaking
History is in the making
History is in the making
gave my love 2 thousand yesterdays
nothing is wrong
i am always a little late
probably will probably won't
get this disease cut out of my throat
all of a sudden
you come my way
baby believer i won't be saved by morning
after struggling my name slave turned to
master
history moans
mouth of father
edge of my bed
benzedrine telephone
struggling to speak
sicker than the sickest dog
falling faster than a liar's grin
we need to be saved from the shit we're in
i believe in you i have found the perfect
to bring me down i won't be saved
by all your yesterdays piss on my grave
piss on the the underlay
history moans
mouth of our father
You're the shaded sun
You're daddy's broken gun
You're the loneliest moon
You are a butterfly dreaming about your cocoon
You're the only sound when I am blind
So I label you mine
You're the house you grew up in
You're always just arriving at your end
You're your mama's shit eatin' grin and your daddy's double chin
You're the first pair of shoes you ever went to school in
And you're the kid pretending she's in prison
Behind the bars of a jungle gym
Someone's gonna give you wings
And you'll think it's what you need
And you'll fly
You'll be so high
But you're history acts as your gravity
Your history acts as your gravity
Acts as your history acts as your gravity
You're the only one you ever believe in
You're the solution and you are the problem
You're a rapist and your only victim
You are fact and you are fiction
Ou're the only one you've considered a friend
And now you're alive
Waiting for your life to begin
Again
You try to find you, you who is lost
But your hooked to the rush of approaching chaos
You're king for a minute but a fool for an hour
Alone in your room
You are a closed flower
Dreams of your shadow you're going to destroy
The way you handle yourself
That girl stole my heart
When she gave a kiss to me
She opened her arms
And she gave herself to me
That girl stole my heart
When she gave a kiss to me
She opened her arms
And she gave herself to me
I started to explore every possibility
Since she gave a kiss to me
The strength of her appeal
Lies in her ability
To keep a sense of mystery
She made my senses real
When she gave a kiss to me
She made the others history
It's all in the past
The rest is history
It's all in the past
The rest is history
It's all in the past
The rest is history
It's all in the past
That girl stole my heart
When she gave a kiss to me
She opened her arms
And she gave herself to me
That girl stole my heart
When she gave a kiss to me
She opened her arms
And she gave herself to me
I feel like I'm the deal
Since she gave a kiss to me
It felt like electricity
Her lips gave me sensations
Full of authenticity
When she gave a kiss to me
Her kiss had such effect
'Cause of it's simplicity
She made the others history
It's all in the past
The rest is history
It's all in the past
The rest is history
It's all in the past
The rest is history
It's all in the past
That girl stole my heart
When she gave a kiss to me
She opened her arms
And she gave herself to me
I started to explore every possibility
Since she gave a kiss to me
The strength of her appeal
Lies in her ability
To keep a sense of mystery
She made my senses real
When she gave a kiss to me
She made the others history
It's all in the past
The rest is history
It's all in the past
The rest is history
It's all in the past
The rest is history
Our love is history
I'm gonna burn the letters you were sending me. Our love is history
I'm gonna burn the letters you were sending me.
Now listen people to what I have to say: I really love him but he took my love away - you don't say. Our love is history
I'm gonna burn the letters you were sending me. . .
When you're gonna fall in love
there's nothing you can do about it. When you're gonna fall in love
don't you beat around the bush. When you're gonna fall in love
now don't you try to deny it
When you're gonna fall in love
better let it get to you.
Our love is history - oh yeah ! So now it's over
he's got a heart made out of stone - a cold stone. Iire learned my lesson
the day I found myself alone - why did you do Our love is history
I'm gonna buni the letters you were sending me. . . Buni 'em off burn 'em off burn burn burn 'em off. When you're gonna fall in love
there's nothing you can do about it. . . .
When it got to lovin' you were never there
All that I could do was dream. When I need some huggin' you never ever cared. Why did you have to be that mean?
Gonna burn your letters gonna burn your letters
I'm gonna burn your letters you were sending me. Our love is history
I'm gonna burn the letters you were sending me - Gonna burn 'em off gonna buni 'em off
Gonna burn burn burn burn burn 'em off. Our love is history
When a ship is sinking and they lower the lifeboats
And hand out the life jackets, the men keep on their
coats
The women and the children are the ones who must go
first
And the men who try to save their skins are cowards and
are cursed
Every man's a captain, men know how to drown
Man the lifeboats if there's room, otherwise go down
And it's the same when there's a war on: it's the men
who go to fight
Women and children are civilians, when they're killed
it's not right
Men kill men in uniform, its the way war goes
When they run they're cowards, when they stay they are
heroes
Every man's a general, men go off to war
The battlefields a man's world, cannon fodders what
they're for
It's the men who have the power, it's the men who have
the might
And the world's a place of horror because each man
thinks he's right
A man's home is his castle so the family let him in
But what's important in that kingdom is the women and
the children
A husband and a father, every man's a king
But he's really just a drone, gathers no honey, has no
sting
Have pity on the general, the king, and the captain
They know they're expendable, after all they're men
Ooh oh oh oh
All we got is history
All we got is history
All we got is history history history
All we got is history
All we got is history
All we got is history history history
You had a man
One that understands
That love is more than cards and holding your hand
Not just a fan, what you were to me
Something that will go down in this dudes history
I try to make it but you just let go
You tryna fake it but it felt so cold
We had our future looking down the road
Have me getting on my knees
Now, all we got is history
All we got is history
All we got is history history history
All we got is history
All we got is history
All we got is history history history
I try to shake you. Try to let you go.
But everytime it's like I see your ghost.
Can't go to sleep 'cause I think you know
What our future could be, could be, could be.
All we got is history, history
All we got, all we got.
All we got, all we got
History.
It doesn't make sense.
Guess you need a change.
What we could have been, you're turning the page.
If I could go back, be a better man.
Would it make a difference to you you you you?
You try to fake it but it felt so cold.
I try to make it but you just let go.
We had our future looking down that road
Have me getting on my knees
Now, all we got is history
All we got is history
All we got is history history history
All we got is history
All we got is history (all we got it)
All we got is history history history
I try to shake you. Try to let you go.
But everytime it's like I see your ghost.
Can't go to sleep 'cause I think you know
What our future could be, could be, could be.
All we got is history, history
I just gotta, I just gotta
I just gotta let you go.
It's goodbye, it's goodbye.
Girl, I tried. Now it's for sure.
It don't matter, it don't matter
It don't matter, what I think
Cuz all we got is history.
I just gotta, I just gotta
I just gotta let you go.
It's goodbye, it's goodbye.
Girl, I tried. Now it's for sure.
It don't matter, it don't matter
It don't matter, what I think
Cuz all we got is history.
All we got is history
All we got is history
All we got is history history history
All we got is history
All we got is history
All we got is history history history
I try to shake you. Try to let you go.
But everytime it's like I see your ghost.
Can't go to sleep 'cause I think you know
What our future could be, could be, could be.
All we got is history, history
All we got, all we got.
All we got, all we got
I watch you, while you're asleep
The one time I ever feel at ease
I got you, I know your game
It don't mean that I know how to play
What's wrong? We didn't fight
Just wish I could climb inside your ?trusted? mind
Where do you really go?
If someone has the answer, could you let me?
And through all our history
The man is a mystery
He takes what he wants from me
And leaves what he don't alone
Well, I'd rather walk away
Pretend that it's all okay
Than ask Mr. Cool to stay
*Don't have a clue what she says here* The man's in a world alone?
It's over now, I've thrown the towel, can't work it out
Tried so hard, but in the end, there's too much doubt
And I was on my knees when he left me at the door
Strugglin' to pick my broken heart off the floor
A heart so cold, the truth unfolds, I can't say no
Why can't I turn my back and just let it go?
Done all I can to understand why it wasn't right
But I'm the one who cries in the night
So I won't be back
Standing as your trophy
Just like you own me
At least I know that
I've given my everything
Down to this song I sing
But your cold heart's no friend of mine
You're thrillin' me, you're killin' me
And I've been waiting all this time
And I...
I can't change this sorry song
You're makin' me, you're breakin' me
Confusion, it goes on and on
Hell, I should be gone
And through all our history
The man is a mystery
He takes what he wants from me
And leaves what he don't alone
Well, I'd rather walk away
Pretend that it's all okay
Than ask Mr. Cool to stay
*Don't have a clue what she says here* The man's in a world alone?
Please...
I don't want another
Squeeze...
You work me like no other
Freeze...
You make it hard for me to
Breathe...
Somebody rescue me
And your cold heart's no friend of mine
You're thrillin' me, you're killin' me
And I've been waiting all this time
And I...
I can't change this sorry song
You're makin' me, you're breakin' me
Confusion, it goes on and on
I wander lonely streets
Behind where the old Thames does flow
And in every face I meet
Reminds me of what I have run from
In every man, in every hand
In every kiss, you understand
That living is for other men
I hope you two will understand
I've got to tell you my tale
Of how I loved and how I failed
I hope you understand
I've got to tell you my tale
Of how I loved and how I failed
I hope you understand
These feelings should not be in the man
In every child, in every eye
In every sky, above my head
I hope that I know
So come with me in bed
Because it's you and me, we're history
There ain't nothing left to say
When I will get you alone
Maybe we could find a room
Where we could see what we should do
Maybe you know it's true
Living with me is like keeping a fool
In every man, in every hand
In every kiss, you understand
That living is for other men
I hope you know that I am me so come on
I'm thinking about history
And I'm living for history
And I think you know about me
Cause I am
And one and one is two
But three is company
When you're thinking about the things you do
And you're thinking about the things you do
I want to tell you my tale
How I fell in love and jumped out on my bail
I hope you understand there's more in a smile than in a hand
In every sky, in every kiss
There's something that I might have missed
Why am I going to
A place that now belongs to you
But you were weak and so was I
Let's pick it up, let's even try
To live today, so why not smile
Don't dream away your life 'Cause it is mine
Is that a crime (repeat) this life is mine
The bed ain't made but it's filled full of hope
I've got a skin full of dope
Mark constellations on your skin
And I will sail by them at night
And carefully I'll map your shores
And love you better than any man before
I'll sail into the great unknown
And awake by you at dawn
Tell me stories all your own
And know me better than any man before
I'll take you down I still believe
I'll take you down in history
Sometimes doubt can toss your seas
A fear that I will not withstand,
I'll hang on every word you please
And know you better than any man before
I'll take you down
I still believe
I'll take you down
In history
In history
In history
In history
Sometimes doubt can toss your seas
A fear that I will not withstand
I'll hang on every word you please
And know you better than any man before
I'll take you down
I still believe
I'll take you down
In history
In history
In history
In history
I'll take you down
I still believe
I'll take you down
In history
In history
I'll take you down
On angry seas
I'll take you down
In history
In history
In history
In history
I'll take you down, down, down
I'll take you down, down, down
In history
In history
In history
There's a sadness in her smile
And her touch is so so cold
You can tell she doesn't belong here
She feels centuries old
Her hair hangs about her tear-stained face
And she buries it once more into her hands
She can remember a time when she was loved
When she had a place in this land
Now she is a nobody
A nobody with no name
They'll never know who she used to be
They never ask why she came
[Mos Def]
Kweli say, "Everybody act according to the season that they born in"
Some are the night, some are the morning, some at noon
Some in winter, some in June
It's our code, it's the natural
The science is a joke
For me and mines, yours and you
Let's move, tell you a little about mine, yo
I was born in a season where the world was quiet and cold
Celebrations were going on
Some were happy, some were sad
Some felt bad from being good
Some felt good from being bad, feelings pass and change
But they never leave, they here to stay
Holiday, holiday, happy birthday
Teenage love, the first cut run deep
Soul on flesh, this is the Brooklyn streets
Year of the Ox, seven and three
M.D., the history (come on)
Every soul got wonder D (yes)
It's where you been and where you be
And without understanding you cannot proceed
Complete, the start and the end
Then it just go round again... again
[Talib Kweli and Mos Def]
Again and again, brand new
Again and again, so fresh
Again and again, newness
[Talib Kweli]
I was born in the decade of decadence where they worship what they have
Ford was president, do the math
The war was ended when the Vietnamese stormed the city of Saigon
We was like "Bye", we was gone, let bygones be bygones
I'm gone, spread love, it's the Brooklyn way
Where the hug you with the firearm side arm
Like new school clothes, Black Star official
Smash when we do a show, it's facts, no mystery
I'm down with the crew like Mussolini in Italy
I rock with The Roots like the Given Tree
Powerful, bigotry I work, me and my people got history
These rappers dumb it down considerably
We "Get it Poppin'" like a hit chorus
The flow is historic, they can't get rid of us
You pick with us, and we lay the law like Leviticus
Ten years ago we made history so they missing us
[Mos Def]
And don't call it come back in particular
We've been effort blending to affirmer or
Fade into peripheral, {?} of the minister's original
We're broadcast clear without diminishing
Black Star so tight, burning soul temperatures and ministers
Alkalines, aminos and minerals essentials
Served over Dilla time signatures
It's miracle material, remember it's right now foreverness
You fall like a waterfall
Pulling down your insincerities
I erode you ‘til you're bedrock
And in your fossils the inscription reads
If you think you've made history
You're not as huge as you thought
So pull the safety pins out your palms
There's no more room on the cross
So step off
Your presence is a gaping hole
A wound from which your contradictions bleed
It's documented in my laptop
And it just reaffirms statistically that
If you think you've made history
You're not as huge as you thought
So pull the safety pins out your palms
There's no more room on the cross
So step off
If you think you've made history
You're not as huge as you thought
So pull the safety pins out your palms
There's no more room on the cross
So step off
So step off

*Verse 1*
Boy you¢re wasting my time
but maybe that is my crime
I should of left you
guess then I was the fool
when you stepped outta line
And we¢d get all inner twined
I got to end it with you
But I couldn¢t quite do
Don¢t know why I denied
All that time that I cried
Didn¢t know what to do
Deep down I had a clue
That I had to resign
To the fact that you lied
Afraid that I would lose you
Cause I was still in love with you
*Chorus* [x2]
Boy you mess up
Now you wanna fess up
Cause you wanna get back on to me
Too late cause I¢m over you
What we had is gone to me your History
What is left of you
Da da nda nda da da [x3]
*Verse 2*
For me to recognize
Is it you or my pride
I¢ve got nothing to lose
So it¢s me that I choose
You were holding me down
Had to bounce or I¢d drown
You¢re the shadow on my light
Stop me shining so bright
*Chorus*[x2]
Boy you mess up
Now you wanna fess up
Cause you wanna get back on to me
Too late cause I¢m over you
What we had is gone to me your History
What is left of you
Da da nda nda da da [x3]
Oooh Oooh Ooooh
*Bridge*
When I saw that you called
I see your name on my phone
Makes me nervous inside
Emotions I can¢t hide
Why you hurt me so bad
Far too long I was sad
You¢re my joy my pain
I ain¢t playing no game
*Chorus*[x2]
Boy you mess up
Now you wanna fess up
Cause you wanna get back on to me
Too late cause I¢m over you
What we had is gone to me your history
Boy you mess up
Now you wanna fess up
Cause you wanna get back on to me
Too late, too late, too late
What he had is gone to me your history
What is left of you
Won't you please stop telling me
I know you're not so blind to see
That everything that was correct
Is wrong and I know that it ain't just me
But given half the chance to be near you
Would only make a start in a new decline
If I gave my heart a convincing listen
I'd be giving me a warning sign
No form of apology
Would ever start to stitch the seam
Now it ain't that hard to see
That we were only cutting teeth dear
Would only make a start in a new decline
If I gave my heart a convincing listen
I'd be giving me a warning sign 'so'
For the last time, drop me a lifeline
Days alone they roll into a week
I can't get away when you fall down at my feet
And I'm happy with sweet memories
So why would I wanna go and make more history
So don't you say that it's gonna be
Another chance that we won't repeat
Did you think I would turn around
Now you know that I know what a fool would believe
When given half a chance to be near you
Would only male a start in a new decline
And if Igave my heart a convincing listen
I'd be giving me a one way sign 'so'
For the last time just drop me a lifeline
All the time that you put me on the back foot
We All got our reasons,
We all need to break sometimes
Leave that trouble mind
I know that you worry, don’t let it dry you out
Let me take you out
You’re building a monster hiding it in your eyes
The tears you’re saving are helping that
Creature survive
So sat that you need me
I know we could work it out
Just let me take you out
We go a long way back but that’s history
(It’s history)
It’s been a hell bound track but that’s history
(It’s history)
These blackened days taking you nowhere it’s just
A stage which you’ll get over
(You’ll get over, you’ll get over)
We walk different line
You’re pulling them closer, the demons in your mind
Your soul is wide open it’s easy for them to get by
Not really an option, let go or fall apart
And to break is a good start
We go a long way back but that’s history
(It’s history)
It’s been a hell bound track but that’s history
(It’s history)
These blackened days taking you nowhere it’s just
A stage which you’ll get over
(You’ll get over, you’ll get over)
We walk different line
We All got our reasons,
We all need to break sometimes
We go a long way back but that’s history
(It’s history)
It’s been a hell bound track but that’s history
(It’s history)
These blackened days taking you nowhere it’s just
A stage which you’ll get over
(You’ll get over, you’ll get over)
I was born to live and I live to give
I'm the love that you feel, the life that lives real in you
I was born to die and I live to cry
I'm your tormented soul, blackness that holds to all you
So think of me as history
And I will leave to you all that you do
Well, I walked this earth since woman gave birth
I'm a seed that is sown, the harvest is grown in all of you
But I've laid to waste my future in haste
And I'm the crops that have failed
The burden that's nailed to all you
So think of me as history
And I will leave to you all that you do
So think of me as history
And I will leave to you all that you do
All love is holy, all love is holy, all love is holy
Our love is holy
I'm the cloud that bursts, I rain down for your thirst
I'm the thunder you hear, the lightening that spears your night
I'm the shadow that is cast, I project all your past
I'm the children you burn, the cross that is turned by all you
So think of me as history
And I will leave to you all that you do
All that you do
All that you do
All that you do
A human blood written book
Pages of centuries torn skin
Filled with death and madness
Can even God read those lines?
Past...Present...Future
Oval...Oval Account (x2)
Endless lack of knowledge
For our rational weak minds
Desire to break the circle
Need to read the bloody lines
If God wrote the first word
Why can't He put the last point?
Trapped in the oval account
He bends to His creation, as us!
History...Oval Account!
L'Historie...Recit Ovale! (x2)
Past...Time of all taboos
Eyes bleed watching behind
Present...Time of all tortures
Feel the suffer to live
Future...Time of all pleasures
Ouvre...Ouvre les yeux et souffre!
Future...Time of all pleasures
Ouvre...Ouvre les yeux et souffre!
We are the witnesses
Witnesses of a single word
Word that might, might be: Hell!
I wander lonely streets
Behind where the old Thames does flow
And in every face I meet
Reminds me of what I have run from
In every man, in every hand
In every kiss, you understand
That living is for other men
I hope you two will understand
I've got to tell you my tale
Of how I loved and how I failed
I hope you understand
I've got to tell you my tale
Of how I loved and how I failed
I hope you understand
These feelings should not be in the man
In every child, in every eye
In every sky, above my head
I hope that I know
So come with me in bed
Because it's you and me, we're history
There ain't nothing left to say
When I will get you alone
Maybe we could find a room
Where we could see what we should do
Maybe you know it's true
Living with me is like keeping a fool
In every man, in every hand
In every kiss, you understand
That living is for other men
I hope you know that I am me so come on
I'm thinking about history
And I'm living for history
And I think you know about me
Cause I am
And one and one is two
But three is company
When you're thinking about the things you do
And you're thinking about the things you do
I want to tell you my tale
How I fell in love and jumped out on my bail
I hope you understand there's more in a smile than in a hand
In every sky, in every kiss
There's something that I might have missed
Why am I going to
A place that now belongs to you
But you were weak and so was I
Let's pick it up, let's even try
To live today, so why not smile
Don't dream away your life 'Cause it is mine
Is that a crime (repeat) this life is mine
The bed ain't made but it's filled full of hope
This city is in a panic
these streets are running rampant
with the ones who have the mindset
our livelihood I...
the summer brings out the hounds
to collect all of the beauty
and bring it into the city
We'll throw our wishes to the sea
but each time we swim
we're reminded of our history
And we'll sing about mountains
coz the mountain's what surrounds us
and we'll stomp down a street block
to realise...
and we'll start a new romance
and look back at all of the fear
and then we'll harvest a new plan
We'll throw our wishes to the sea
but each time we swim
we're reminded of our history
la da da la da da da
la da da la da da da
It's all about history man
Turn it up
We school y'all young folks man
Y'all need to know what time it is
Turn it up son
Let me add on this shit
Hear the horns nigga
Hear that trumpet man
Let's go back to day one
This some edumacation
Aiyo
It's like 'Once Upon a Time in America', the pick pocket era
The Gucci loafers, old nigas in holes up
Violent young killers who've got jobs
And grown niggas wanna test us and get dressed up, we vest up
Polo gowns for bitches, rich niggas hooded clowns
Played my shit, get strength, come pulling down
My poster, it meant police post up
If Chef come back they let out Sosa
Yo, you know the dilly, who willies, we night time killies
Of colleagues who used to smoke cocaine broccolis
Fans of old school niggas, we rose 2Pac and paying for him
Might hit the gun range on him
Yo, all of us kings men, we blings the Ming M
Made that choice, so stay back, this how the team win
Who you think is wrong? Breathe as Indians, one leader
One mad can take on an whole army, I know Cheeber
Back to the kitchen with the baking soda, he ain't throw up
Lax in them buildings, I max while I bailed
Yo, post Avenue vet, repped them corners yo
It's like a Goines novels, you can bet I'm coigning coins
Follow the path, it's real and it's hardbody
Soon as the Purple Tape come I'm doing hard copy
And it's with some whities, yeah my favourite is Jay Leno
Yeah Rae you living out the project windows, yo
I make my own Casadias, cats catching me in Barrakee
Or Columbia, honey named Jiah
Poppy, these industry niggas is soft
Let a nigga puts his hand on you when busting off the wall
Fall back to the labba, the dynasty where my grimies be
Now that all the smoke is gone, lighter
And the battle's finally won, gimme a lighter
Victory is finally ours lighter's up, lighter's up
History so long, so long, so long, so long
In search of victory she keeps saluting me
If only we can be together momentarily
We can make love and make history
Why won't you visit me?
Until she visit me I'll be stuck with her sister
Her name is defeat, she gives me agony
So much agony, she brings me so much pain
So much misery like missing your last shot
And falling to your knees as the crowd screams
For the other team, I practiced so hard for this moment
Victory don't leave, I know what this means
I'm stuck in this routine, whole new different day
The same old thing
All I got is dreams, nobody else can see
Nobody else believes, nobody else but me
Where are you victory? I need you desperately
Not just for the moment to make history
Now that all the smoke is gone, lighter
And the battle's finally won, lighter's
Victory is finally ours
History so long, so long, so long, so long
So now I'm flirting with death, hustling like a G
While victory wasn't watching took chances repeatedly
As a teenage boy before acne
Before I got proactive I couldn't face she
I just threw on my hoody and headed to the street
I swear I met success, we lived together shortly
Now success was like lust, she's good to the touch
She's good for the moment but she's never enough
Everybody's had her, she's nothing like V
But success is all I got, unfortunately
But I'm burning down the block
Hoping in and out of V
But something tells me that there's much more to see
Before I get killed 'cause I can't get robbed
So before me, success and death ménage
I gotta get lost, I gotta find V
We gotta be together to make history
Now that all the smoke is gone, lighter
And the battle's finally won lighter's up
Victory is finally ours, lighter's up
History so long, so long, so long, so long
Now history is mine, it taste so sweet
She's my trophy wife, your coming with me
We'll have a baby who stutters repeatedly
We'll name him history, he'll repeat after me
He's my legacy, son I'm a hard work
Future of my past, he'll explain who I be
Rank me among the greats, either 1, 2 or 3
If I ain't number one then I failed you victory
Ain't in it for the fame that dies in within weeks
Ain't in it for the money, can't take me when you leave
I wanna be remembered long after you breathe
Long after I'm gone, long after I breathe
I leave all I am in the hands of history
That's my last will, testimony
This is much more than a song, it's a baby shower
I've been waiting for this hour, history you're ours
Now that all the smoke is gone
And the battle's finally won
Victory is finally ours
History so long, so long, so long, so long
Now that all the smoke is gone
And the battle's finally won
Victory is finally ours
If I talk in my sleep and I talk in my dream
I'm just a fool for you
Oh I'm under your spell, baby and it seems
All this in heaven too
Oh, I'm that guy who takes the pain
Behind closed doors you'll lie again
The light shot diamonds from your eyes tonight
It's history, there is enough for you and me
I promised myself to you, for sure my baby
Oh, I swear you can't ignore
History, I justify my love is free
There is enough, my heart, for sure my lady
That's what lovers living for
Oh, you took all my love and you took all my soul
I'm just a jealous guy
Oh, I drown in my tears when I lose control
There is no reason why
Oh, there's a heart with no name
And you are playing tricks again
This is a song called 'The History Of Tenacious D'
And it's not just a list of hog wash
That we've done in the past
It's a chronicling of our rise to power
We ride with kings on mighty steeds
Across the Devil's plain
We've walked with Jesus and His Cross
He did not die in vain, no
We've run with wolves, we've climbed K2
We've even stopped a moving train
We've traveled through space and time, my friends
To rock this house again, rock
We ride and we ride and we'll never subside
And we'll ride 'til the planets collide
And if you say that we do not ride
I'll turn your freaking hide, ride
Kyle's fingers be silver, Jack's voice then be gold
But lest you think we're vain
We know you're all robots and we don't care
Tenacious D, we reign
We reign supreme, ohh God
Burrito Supreme and a Chicken Supreme
And a Cutlass Supreme
Supreme, yeah, go now, Kyle 1, 2, 3
Supreme, go now, Kyle, 1, 2, 3
Supreme, go now, Kyle, 1, 2, 3
Burrito Supreme and a Chicken Supreme
And a Cutlass Supreme
Why don't we start this off with
Last summer we were drunk and alone
But I believed the gravity
Would keep you afloat
When you took to the bridge
And you thought you could fly
Then dived to the underneath
Reflecting the sky
But I'll be fine it's making sense
This moonlit sky is obvious
Please don't let me go
This moonlit sky is so obvious
For me to show this precious and colorful moment
Now retracing every step to the first day that we met
It becomes clear to me
This moment is history
What if we started over
So it's just you and me
Lets make a go of it
So innocent and indiscreet
We could drown together
And say goodbye as we choke
Or we could live forever with
Promises you promised me that
I'll be fine it's making sense
So sweet divine and confident
Please don't let me go
This moonlit sky is so obvious
For me to show this precious and colorful moment
Now retracing every step to the first day that we met
It becomes clear to me
This moment is history

Ooh Yeah
Ja Si Break it down...C'mon...Yeah
Verse 1
A turn of the key early in the morning
You walk in the room
And I can smell that perfume
You tried to explain that you missed the last train,
(No, No...)
You're the only one to blame
Don't wanna play no more games, Yeah!
Should have seen it coming
Should have read the signs
Didn't give a warning
What did you find?
Chorus 1
You've been foolin'way to much around
Never thought you could let me down
Guess I must've been to blind to see
But now your history
Had enough of cheating in my life
Need someone who knows to treat me right
Guess I must've been to blind to see
But now your history
Ooh...Ooh
Now you're history
Ooh...Yeah...Ooh!
Verse 2
I packed your things and left them in the hallway
I hear you curse my name and try to put me to shame
(Shame on you)
Thoughts of you won't ever cross my mind again, no no
I got my number changed
And my heart re-arranged, (ooh)
Should have seen it coming
Should have read the signs
Didn't give a warning
What did you find?
Chorus 2
You've been foolin' way to much around
Never thought you could let me down
Guess I must've been to blind to see
But now your history
Had enough of cheating in my life
Need someone who knows to treat me right
Guess I must've been to blind to see
But now your history
Mid 8
I've done enough
Complaining to my friends
Babe I know
You will never ever change
Moving on
And out of my life
I won't be wasting
No more time on you
Bridge
I don't need you anymore
Won't be making up I'm sure
I am locking up that door
You're history
I won't miss your love at all
When you're gone I'll have a ball
I won't answer when you call
You're history
Outro
You've been foolin'way to much around
Never thought you could let me down
Guess I must've been to blind to see
But now your history
Had enough of cheating in my life
Need someone who knows to treat me right
Guess I must've been to blind to see
But now your history
You've been foolin'way to much around
Never thought you could let me down
Guess I must've been to blind to see
But now your history
Had enough of cheating in my life
Need someone who knows to treat me right
Guess I must've been to blind to see
But now your history
A stone arises slowly from a rock
Cold and grey
Stones wear down to a sand with time
Cold and grey
The sand falls through the fisted palm
Which only dust remains on
The dust catches the sweat
From the other palm
Cold and grey
In the crowd where
The single one is useless
Hard as stone
From the crowd of individuals
Where everybody's a king
A grip of dust covered palms
A mound of stones hard as a rock
A grip of dust covered palms
How many people touch in the crowd
I never could remember what you’ve said
Memories kept dancing in my head
Never found a way to press rewind
And every time I put my pen in hand
My words would fall like tears instead
I’d start again but something wasn’t right
I keep running in circles
`Cause I don’t know the answer
From the start of the motion, to the end of my pain
I keep searching for some light
But the darkness still stays
And so many ways
Presently, we’re history
(Oh, we’re history, yeah-yeah)
It was a mirage when I saw your face
Must have been a vision of another place
It saw the dream, I can’t explain
Sitting by a window
Kissed by rain
It’s you I want to hold and hold again
A thousand good byes later, it’s the same
I keep running in circles
`Cause I don’t know the answer
From the start of the motion, to the end of my pain
I keep searching for some light
But the darkness still stays
And so many ways
Presently, we’re history
(Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Why, do I feel that if you could, you’d turn around
And be back for good
I wish that there was some left
For me in this world
But silence, lately is all I ever heard
I keep running in circles
`Cause I don’t know the answer
From the start of the motion, to the end of my pain
I keep searching for some light
But the darkness still stays
And so many ways
Presently, we’re history
History is just beginning
It's like leaves creating a canopy
And, woven in the tapestry, my testimony
A ceremony of souls, a symphony of sounds of sounds and forms
A cacophony – I'll keep that energy
I'll keep that energy flowing through the whole range of me
So you can focus on the rage in me
And my obituary?
Well, I'm re-writing it every second, every century
Well, I'm re-writing it
Here we are in place
Staring face to face
Awkward arms embrace
A little taste of history
Clothes are on the floor
We've been through this before
Know just what's in store
A little more of history
And if you want to keep me
You'd better hold on tight
Don't look ahead too far now
Let's make it through the night
And when you can't release me
Your vacant eyes will stray
A bitter observation
Well I'm better off this way
Walking down the street
My heart is in my feet
Wondering when we'll meet
We can't repeat our history
Reaching for the phone
I can't leave this alone
The past few days have shown
We should have known our history
And if you want to keep me
You'd better hold on tight
Don't look ahead too far now
Let's make it through the night
And when you can't release me
Your vacant eyes will stray
A bitter observation
Well I'm better off this way
Better off this way
I'm better off this way
Better off this way
I'm better off this way
If you want to keep me
Hold on tight
No regrets
Just make it through the night
But I'm better off this way
And if you want to keep me
You'd better hold on tight
Don't look ahead too far now
Let's make it through the night
And when you can't release me
Your vacant eyes will stray
A bitter observation
Well I'm better off this way
And if you want to keep me
You'd better hold on tight
Don't look ahead too far now
Let's make it through the night
And when you can't release me
My hapless eyes will stray
A bitter observation
Just repeat history
Just repeat history
Just repeat history
I looked all around the world
Nobody has it better than we do, uh, huh
One thing I don't understand
Why don't we help more people 'cause we can, uh, huh
Just repeat history
Just repeat history
Just repeat history
Just repeat history
Just repeat history
Just repeat history
Why are we separated
Defined by our greed and hatred?
Why aren't we all united?
I'm so sick and tired of fighting
Why aren't we all together?
Let's end this fight forever
Why are we still divided?
I'm so sick and tired of fighting
How many tragedies
Will we see before we come together? Uh, huh
It's easy to forget
We have the power to make things better, uh, huh
I have a dream
But dreams are not for free
We all need to change
Or just repeat history
Just repeat history
Just repeat history
Just repeat history
Just repeat history
Why are we separated?
Defined by our greed and hatred
Why aren't we all united?
I'm so sick and tired of fighting
Why aren't we all together?
Let's end this fight forever
Why are we still divided?
I'm so sick and tired of fighting
I have a dream
But dreams are not for free
We all need to change
Or just repeat history
Just repeat history
Just repeat history
Just repeat history
He got kicked in the back
He say that he needed that
He hot willed in the face
Keep daring to motivate
He say one day you will see
His place in world history
He dares to be recognized
The fires deep in his eyes
How many victims must there be
Slaughtered in vain across the land
And how many struggles must there be
Before we choose to live the prophet's plan
Everybody sing...
Every day create your history
Every path you take you're leaving your legacy
Every soldier dies in his glory
Every legend tells of conquest and liberty
Don't let no one get you down
Keep movin' on higher ground
Keep flying until
You are the king of the hill
No force of nature can break
Your will to self motivate
She say this face that you see
Is destined for history
How many people have to cry
The song of pain and grief across the land
And how many children have to die
Before we stand to lend a healing hand
Everybody sing...
Every day create your history
Every path you take you're leaving your legacy
Every soldier dies in his glory
Every legend tells of conquest and liberty
Every day create your history
Every page you turn you're writing your legacy
Every hero dreams of chivalry
Every child should sing together in harmony
All nations sing
Let's harmonize all around the world
How many victims must there be
Slaughtered in vain across the land
And how many children must we see
Before we learn to live as brothers
And leave one family oh...
Every day create your history
Every path you take you're leaving your legacy
Every soldier dies in his glory
Every legend tells of conquest and liberty
Every day create your history
Every page you turn you're writing your legacy
Every hero dreams of chivalry
Every child should sing together in harmony
A soldier dies
A mother cries
The promised child shines in a baby's eyes
All nations sing
Your shadow, I will show you something different
I will only stop you drifting so far
People, get down on your knees for the crowd
People, get down on your knees for the crowd
People, get down on your knees for the crowd
You're no one, I connect a little in disguise
I reflect a little in your eyes
People, get down on your knees for the crowd
People, get down on your knees for the crowd
People, get down on your knees for the crowd
You wake up, set your distances miles apart
When you go, I'll be there anyway
Your head up, up above where you put your love out of reach
Let's break a thousand walls. I know we will fall
Apart from what is here, apart from anywhere
Let's win a thousand wars. I know there's no cause
I know that we're wrong, everything is gone
Now that I come closer
Try to remember. But peaces must be done
It seem s to be a kind of conception
But still no sense in everything I've done
If all I say is not true, just watch my hands come over
From a spirit far behind
I've killed this life but not myself. Wake up like
anybody else
What have I become
Where am I? is that crime?
That I'm leaving those souls behind
In history I'll be fine
However I am leaving those souls behind
I have seen the late horizons
From south east where frequently there's war
The old life is drastically altered, we bring them
culture
It's just a state of mind
In the name of god our culture grows. The battle more
the blood will flow
Sacramento valleys
We've killed our live. Fight for the cross wake up in
hell. No sign of god
What have we become?
Where am I? is that crime?
That I'm leaving those souls behind
In history I'll be fine
However I am leaving those souls behind
In the name of god we've killed ourselves
Dear friends in this academy
Romeo is bleeding to death
To see friends bleed to death
What for? Some kind of metaphor
That I cant see?
So I'll drink until I see it
This sky will make me sick
So I'll give up on you
I'll give up on this
This sky will make me sick
So I'll give up on this
I'll give up on you
Archers in your arches
Raise your fingers for one last salute
And i'll bleed this skyline dry
Your history is mine
So you want to hold me up and bring me down
Yes, you want to hold me up and break me down
I don't care for your sweet scent or
The way you want me more than I want you
I don't care for your sweet scent or
The way you want me more than I want you
Archers in your arches
Raise your fingers for one last salute
And bleed this skyline dry
Your history is mine
Archers in your arches
Raise your fingers for one last salute
And bleed this skyline dry
Your history is mine...
Dear friends of this academy
Oooh romeo is bleeding to death
To see a friend bleed to death, what for
Some kind of metaphor that I can't see?
So I'll drink until I see it.
This sky will make me sick
So I'll give up on you
I'll give up on this
This sky will make me sick
So I'll give up on this
I'll give up on you
Archers in your arches
Raise your fingers for one last salute
And bleed this skyline dry
Your history is mine
So you want to hold me up and bring me down
Yes, you want to hold me up and break me down
I don't care for your sweet scent
Or the way you want me more than I want you
And I don't care for your sweet scent
Or the way you want me more than I want you
Archers in your arches
Raise your fingers for one last salute
And bleed this skyline dry
Your history is mine
Archers in your arches
Raise your fingers for one last salute
And bleed this skyline dry
Your history is mine.
It's all mine.
It's all mine.
It's all mine.
Archers in your arches
Raise your fingers for one last salute
And bleed this skyline dry
Your history is mine.
Archers in your arches
Raise your fingers for one last salute
And bleed this skyline dry
I'm sad with the way that I am
I'm turning away from the past, oohh
I'm lookin' for a better place
I'm lonely but findin' my way around.
Around, around
Around, around
So long,
Something's stirrin' up in the air,
Because it keeps turning me around, oh yeah
So long,
Something's stirrin' up in the air,
Keeps turning me around,ooh yeah
It's startin' to push in at my mind
Forget all the things that I took away with me
I'm throwing away all my dreams
Dreams,
Dreams,
Dreams,
So long,
Something's stirring up in the air
Keeps turning me around
History reminding
So long,
something's turning up in the air, ooh
Keeps turning me around,
History reminding
here's my new century
i'm erasing history
you need to make corrections
you need to pay attention
i'll say when [x2]
you're up for mass distraction
you're up for gut reaction
you raise your hand like i can't see
don't raise your hand like i can't see
you're in for mass distraction
you're in for gut reaction
i'll say when [x4]
you need to make corrections
you need to pay attention
let's rewrite your history
let's rewrite your history
i'll say when [x8]
[bridge/breakdown]
Listen, they tried to put me in a box, the urban dude.
I'm Mr. Festivals, Coachella, Bonaru
They never really understood what I was trying to do,
And had me feeling Miles Davis kinda blue
I flipped the switch and put the rock star in my show,
Went overseas and had 'em cop cars whipping slow
They're looking for me I was bad with a black band
Eating everybody in the game, Pacman
The only issue is not a game,
I've got these kids looking at me, saying "What a shame!
He's so underrated, he should have sold more
Should've had a number one record with his own tour.
Look at his live show, look how we touch 'em keys,
Look how 'em girls scream when he fall to his knees!
Look how he pour his heart out when he tell his story."
I guess i had to spill my guts so i could get my glory!
Listen,
Have you ever even seen such determination?
Despite it all, I'm still a theme for the adulation.
Everything I ever wrote I did it form the heart
Never had a top ten but you still respect my art.
I'm in the club and they still send me free bottles,
Still push that G-55 with a super model.
It's my reality, this ain't no show, brother
Go check my girl on the February Vogue cover
And catch me whipping through the city in that silver Jeep
Kids screaming "Oh, that's Ryan Leslie," Yeah, they know it's me
I'm not ashamed at all, in fact I love my story,
No matter what it takes oh I'ma keep my glory!
Sh-t!
The glory, give it to me!
Oh, oh!
I get it
The glory, give it to me!
Yeah
You asked me why I'm rapping,
Well I give you the reason,
The same reason you're hating when you should be believing
It's in your heart to hate, it's in my heart to win,
So yeah, I'm rapping now, let the hating begin!
I write my own records, write my own checks,
Wonder which hotel and which city I'm calling home next!
One thing i know for sure, one thing that's mandatory,
I owe it all to God, I give him all the glory!
Sh-t!
The glory, give it to me!
Oh, oh! (x3)
I'mma get my glory,
Yo
New Poooomplex
I'm clocking them fake rappers
Eating oxygen cakes
Go home, listen to Boy Better Know
I sold more than the box ever made
But if you're on my side
Chill, relax, and enjoy the ride
I'm not a one hit wonder boy
Trust me, I make music all the time
Someone's [? ] shotting today
Everybody's got something to say
If I quick this music to my road
Half of you guys will have nothing to play
See I hear this stuff all the time
You think you can write bars like mine
Look on your lyric books and you'll find
3, 14159
I only make badboy tunes
So when there's all five man in the room
All communication stops
'Cause if you don't hear me, then you're doomed
You can't test me, you might be yeh pro
I don't care, I'm mighty and so
When you see my mix album on the shelves, cop that
It's a deal like Ikea
On the Boy Better Know CD you'll get
Bare tunes from JME, you best
Play my tunes at full volumes and shout
Shh hut yuh muh, rudeboy, poomplex, diickhead
You know I'm the best
Your favourite MC, there's no contest
Lyrically I'm ahead of the rest
Poooomplex
I wear my own dance
Man see me roll on own arms
Turn them, shh hut yuh muh, there's no [? ]
Rudeboy, wipe your lips, why just [? ]
I've got my own T's
Man see me and think I got p's
Turn them, eyo fam, you know me
Still hustlin for my food to eat
I only go pops, the? is a must
Plus if I can't get into the pool club
If not then I'll go make a dub
I don't do collabs
Hold me down like I've got?
But I'm slipping, washboard abs

i got a feeling tonight i'ma try to call you (you)
no, i still want you (want you)
there's nothing better than making up
when you went away
a piece of my heart
just wasn't the same
like a flame with no spark
forget all the pain
just leave it behind
cause girl you should know what i feel inside
it's a new day
girl i feel like, like there's something missing in my life
is it too late?
don't say goodbye

don't say that we're history
don't say that we're history

it's just a matter of time
i feel incomplete

it's a new day
girl i feel like, like there's something missing in my life
is it too late?
don't say goodbye
i'ma change ___ for you tonight
don't say that we're history
don't say that we're history
don't say that we're history
don't say that we're history
i know you don't want to say goodbye
no, no oh oh
no, no oh oh
i know you don't want to say goodbye
no, no oh oh
no, no oh oh
i know you don't want to say goodbye
a piece of my heart just wasn't the same
like a flame with no spark
Ooh Yeah
Ja Si Break it down C'mon Yeah
A turn of the key early in the morning
You walk in the room
And I can smell that perfume
You tried to explain that you missed the last train,
(No, No)
You're the only one to blame
Don't wanna play no more games, Yeah!
Should have seen it coming
Should have read the signs
Didn't give a warning
What did you find?
CHORUS
You've been foolin'way to much around
Never thought you could let me down
Guess I must've been to blind to see
But now your history
Had enough of cheating in my life
Need someone who knows to treat me right
Guess I must've been to blind to see
But now your history
Ooh Ooh
Now you're history
Ooh YeahOoh!
I packed your things and left them in the hallway
I hear you curse my name and try to put me to shame
(Shame on you)
Thoughts of you won't ever cross my mind again, no no
I got my number changed
And my heart re-arranged, (ooh)
Should have seen it coming
Should have read the signs
Didn't give a warning
What did you find?
CHORUS
I've done enough
Complaining to my friends
Babe I know
You will never ever change
Moving on
And out of my life
I won't be wasting
No more time on you
I don't need you anymore
Won't be making up I'm sure
I am locking up that door
You're history
I won't miss your love at all
When you're gone I'll have a ball
I won't answer when you call
You're history
REPEAT CHORUS x2
