The Book of Judith is a deuterocanonical book, included in the Septuagint and the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Christian Old Testament of the Bible, but excluded by Jews and Protestants. The book contains numerous historical anachronisms, which is why many scholars now accept it as non-historical; it has been considered a parable or perhaps the first historical novel.
The name Judith (Hebrew: יְהוּדִית, Modern Yehudit Tiberian Yəhûḏîṯ ; "Praised" or "Jewess") is the feminine form of Judah.
The Book of Judith has a tragic setting that appealed to Jewish patriots and it warned of the urgency of adhering to Mosaic law, generally speaking, but what accounted for its enduring appeal was the drama of its narrative. The story revolves around Judith, a daring and beautiful widow, who is upset with her Jewish countrymen for not trusting God to deliver them from their foreign conquerors. She goes with her loyal maid to the camp of the enemy general, Holofernes, with whom she slowly ingratiates herself, promising him information on the Israelites. Gaining his trust, she is allowed access to his tent one night as he lies in a drunken stupor. She decapitates him, then takes his head back to her fearful countrymen. The Assyrians, having lost their leader, disperse, and Israel is saved. Though she is courted by many, she remains unmarried for the rest of her life.
Silvio Rodríguez Domínguez (born November 29, 1946 in San Antonio de los Baños) is a Cuban musician, and a leader of the nueva trova movement.
He is considered Cuba's best known folk singer and known for his highly eloquent and symbolic lyrics. Many of his songs have become classics in Latin American music, such as Ojalá, Playa Girón, Unicornio and La maza. He has released nearly 20 albums.
Rodríguez, musically and politically, is a symbol of the Latin American left wing. His lyrics are notably introspective. His songs combine romanticism, love (even eroticism), revolutionary politics, and idealism.
Rodríguez was born on November 29, 1946 in San Antonio de los Baños, a fertile valley in Havana Province known for its tobacco crop. He was raised in a family of poor farmers. His father, Víctor Dagoberto Rodríguez Ortega, was a farmer and amateur poet who supported socialist causes. His mother, Argelia Domínguez León, was a house wife. On many occasions Rodríguez has spoken how his love of music was developed by his mother, who would pass time singing boleros and songs from Santiago. Although Rodríguez had an uncle who played the bass, his mother had a far greater influence. Later, she also collaborated with him on a few musical works.
Judith Hill is an American singer born in Los Angeles, California.
Hill's mother is a pianist from Tokyo who met Hill's father in a funk band in the 1970s. Together they raised Judith in a very musical household. She is of both Japanese and Black descent.
After getting a degree in music composition from Biola University in southern California, Hill went to France in 2007 to perform with the French singer Michel Polnareff. She began a career as a singer-songwriter when she returned to the United States. In 2009, she was selected as one of Michael Jackson's back-up singers for his planned comeback This Is It concerts.
Michael Jackson's death on June 25, 2009, caused the tour to be cancelled. Along with the rest of the This Is It cast members, she performed at Jackson's memorial service at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles on July 7, 2009. She attracted global attention when she sang the lead on the song "Heal the World", which was one of the climactic moments of the service. Approximately one billion people worldwide are believed to have viewed her performance.
Judith Butler (born February 24, 1956) is an American post-structuralist philosopher, who has contributed to the fields of feminism, queer theory, political philosophy, and ethics. She is a professor in the Rhetoric and Comparative Literature departments at the University of California, Berkeley. Butler received her Ph.D. in philosophy from Yale University in 1984, for a dissertation subsequently published as Subjects of Desire: Hegelian Reflections in Twentieth-Century France. In the late-1980s she held several teaching/research appointments, and was involved in "post-structuralist" efforts within Western feminist theory to question the "presuppositional terms" of feminism.
Her research ranges from literary theory, modern philosophical fiction, feminist and sexuality studies, to 19th- and 20th-century European literature and philosophy, Kafka and loss, mourning and war. Her most recent work focuses on Jewish philosophy, exploring pre- and post-Zionist criticisms of state violence. Plot
Marvin, a developmentally challenged young man, spends his afternoon writing back to his long time pen pal, Princess Lulu, a story book princess living in a theme park somewhere in Florida. Little does he know, the letters he's been getting are actually not from the Princess herself but from the same person whom he thinks has been mailing all his letters.
Plot
This film poses a simple question: If a 14-year-old black girl is pack-raped by four older youths, should the police always investigate and seek justice on her behalf? On the one hand, in Queensland, in the case of Anna, the powers of government effectively answered no. In Anna's case, Queensland government officials refused to act - and even destroyed the evidence. The police, crime commissions, and even the Queensland governor declined to get involved. On the other hand, a few ordinary people in a small country town believe that the rule of law should be the same for all, that Anna deserves justice, and that it is past time to answer the above question with a resounding 'Yes'.
Plot
When young journalism major Daisy Whitlock is assigned the task of producing a documentary about an influential member of her community, she makes the mistake of choosing former Broadway star and current mega-church Pastor Jefferson Rabinovitch as her subject the very day he walks out on his congregation. Rabinovitch believes it is his mission to make a movie based on an uncensored version of the Bible and partners up with Jay Jobson, a homeless guy he meets by divine decree; or so it seems. Claiming to be a filmmaker, Jay uses this opportunity to fulfill his lifelong dream of making an all-out adult film, all the while convincing Rabinovitch that he's staying true to the original Bible-based script. Auditions are held in Hollywood to find just the right actor to play Jesus; someone who's got that extra something special. A rock and roll legend agrees to sing the film's title song. Product placement opportunities are rolling in and the buzz for the film is growing. What could possibly go wrong? As the Bible implicitly states... dung happens. Initially offended by Jay's outlandish interpretations of the text, Rabinovitch discovers that those whose voices the church has tried to ignore, e.g. the gays and lesbians, the Universalists, the poor and oppressed, the sinners and the whores, all have something important to say to those who have ears to hear it. But Daisy's Pastor, an ambitious man with a heart set on preserving the status quo, wants to stifle those voices and leads an all out assault on Jay, Rabinovitch, and their film. Jay can't understand what the man's problem is... hasn't he read the Bible? It's chock full of adult material! Rabinovitch is too busy staying one step ahead of the Law to argue with Jay, especially since it looks like God's promises are not being fulfilled. Daisy, in spite of it all, just keeps her camera rolling as the 'Gospel Truth' becomes harder and harder.... to believe.

You have many houses, one for every season
Mountains in your windows, violets in your hands
Through your English meadows your blue-eyed horses wander
You're in Colorado for the spring
When the winter finds you, you fly to where it's summer
Rooms that face the ocean, moonlight on your bed
Mermaids swift as dolphins paint the air with diamonds
You are like a seagull as you said
Why do you fly bright feathered sometimes in my dreams?
The shadows of your wings fall over my face
I can feel no air, I can find no peace
Brides in black ribbons, witches in white
Fly in through windows, fly out through the night
Why do I think I'm dying sometimes in my dreams
I see myself a child running through the trees
Searching for myself, looking for my life
Looking everywhere crawling on my knees
I cannot see the leaves, I cannot see the light
Then I see you walking just beyond the forest
Walking very quickly, walking by yourself
Your shoes are silver, your coat is made of velvet
Your eyes are shining, your voice is sweet and clear
"Come on", you say, "Come with me, I'm going to the castle"
All the bells are ringing, the weddings have begun
But I can only stand here, I cannot move to follow
I'm burning in the shadows and freezing in the sun
There are people with you living in your houses
People from your childhood who remember how you were
You were always flying, nightingale of sorry
Singing bird with rainbows on your wings
You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never ever choose to be. Oh, so many ways for me to show you how your savior has abandoned you. Fuck your God, your Lord, your Christ. He did this, took all you had, and left you this way still you pray never stray never taste of the fruit you never thought to question why.
It's not like you killed someone. It's not like you drove a spiteful spear into his side. Pray for one who left you broken down and paralyzed. He did it all for you.
Oh, so many ways for me to show you how your dogma has abandoned you. Pray to your Christ, to your God. Never taste of the fruit, never stray, never break. Never choke on the lie, even though he's the one who did this to you, you never thought to question why.
You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never ever choose to be
Oh so many ways for me to show you how your savior has abandoned you
Fuck your god
Your lord, your Christ
He did this
Took all you had and
Left you this way
Still you pray, never stray, never
Taste of the fruit
Never thought to question why
It's not like you killed someone
It's not like you drove a hateful spear into his side
Praise the one who left you broken down and paralyzed
He did it all for you
He did it all for you
Oh so many ways for me to show you how your dogma has abandoned you
Pray
To your Christ, to your god
Never taste of the fruit
Never stray, never break, never
Choke on a lie
Even though he's the one who
Did this to you
Never thought to question why
It's not like you killed someone
It's not like you drove a spiteful spear into his side
Talk to Jesus Christ as if He knows the reasons why
He did it all for you
He did it all for you
You're such an inspiration for the ways
That I'll never ever choose to be
Oh so many ways for me to show you
How the savior has abandoned you
Fuck your God
Your Lord and your Christ

Took all you had and
Left you this way
Still you pray, you never stray
Never taste of the fruit
You never thought to question why
It's not like you killed someone
It's not like you drove a hateful spear into his side
Praise the one who left you
Broken down and paralyzed
He did it all for you
He did it all for you
Oh so many many ways for me to show you
How your dogma has abandoned you
Pray to your Christ, to your god
Never taste of the fruit
Never stray, never break
Never---choke on a lie
Even though he's the one who did this to you
You never thought to question why
Not like you killed someone
It's Not like you drove a spiteful spear into his side
Talk to Jesus Christ
As if he knows the reasons why
He did it all for you
Did it all for you
You see me as the girl next door
Like you, and all so many many more
Just a fish that swims in your direction
And could bring a lot of affection
But I can't play the game of love with you
I know it will only hurt me
I feel tears in my eyes
Cause we have to say goodbye
And looking in the face of love
I'll never touch it, it would be self deceit
To think that you would stay with me
You think you mean the same to me
But I'm afraid and to shy to let you see
To me you're really someone special
I found the needle in the hay stead
I feel love is back
But I can't play the game of love with you
I know it will only hurt me
I feel tears in my eyes
Cause we have to say goodbye
And looking in the face of love
I'll never touch it, it would be self deceit
To think that you would never leave
Blisters on my soul
Are they my path or are they my goal
Cause everytime I feel love
Fate rudely breaks it up
Will it ever stop
But I can't play the game of love with you
I know it will only hurt me
I feel tears in my eyes
Cause we have to say goodbye
And looking in the face of love
I'll never touch it, it would be self deceit
I lost faith in love conquer all
Its an illusion
How could I think that I could break down the walls
That you've build to protect your sensitive heart
But I know that's not true, there's nothing I can do
You have to do this on your own
I can only sit and wait
Hoping that it's not too late for us
Please open your heart
Cold, cold, cold so cold
Your heart is cold, is frozen
Cold, cold, cold so cold
Your heart is frozen, locked between walls
You've been hurt too many times
And you don't want to feel that pain inside
Everyday you maintain your defense
Expecting the enemy to attack your vulnerability
But you shut me out too,
There's nothing I can do
You have to do this on your own
I can only sit and pray
Hoping that's it's not too late for us
Please open your heart
Cold, cold, cold so cold
Your heart is cold,is frozen
Cold, cold, cold so cold
Your heart is frozen, locked between walls.
Hard as stone, high as mountains, reinforced concrete
Every time I try to reach you
Loves makes me bleed
How can you tell me that you love me
That your love is true
So cold, so cold
So cold, so cold
Cold, cold, cold so cold
Your heart is cold, is frozen
Cold, cold, cold so cold
Your heart is frozen, locked between walls.
Cold cold cold so cold
Your heart is frozen, locked between walls
Stuck between walls.
You've locked yourself up between walls
And Im so cold
Let me take you by the handwalk
I will stay with you
And you know it`s true
I am counting every minute
When you by my side
And just hold me tide
`cause our love is everlasting
If we spread our wings
Show you the way to the stars
We gonna stay together
Together day by day
`Cause we are strong together
We will never
Never be apart
We gonna stay together
Together day by day`Cause we are strong together
Now or never
Never be apart
I will hold you in my heart boy
When you by my side
It would be alright
`cause our love is everlastingif we spread our wings
Show you the way to be free
Refrain
And I have to know the reason
Sometimes you are still
A mistery
What do you fell inside
So deep inside
Don`t break my heart in two
Refrain
Show you
Once you and I
Where as innocent as kids
Love could easy grow
To the corners of our hearts
Unaware of danger
We started to grow up
When we discovered borders
I crossed the line
And now I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart
I feel so sorry from the way we had to part
How could I let you go, How could I
And now I'm sorry from the bottom.....................
Of my heart
You don't know what you've got till it's gone
And all the damage is done
We were to in-exprerienced
To find our way out
To little understanding
For each others point of view
If i knew then what i know now
There's no reason to shout
Heeey
That i'm sorry from the bottom of my heart
I feel so sorry from the way we had to part
How could I let you go, How could I
Oh I'm so sorry
Heeyy
Now I am ........
And i am all alone
I've found myself and now i'm searching for a home
No i'm the woman, i wanted to be
More independant
But is this woman really me
Nothing left but memories
From our lost paradise
If i'll ever find it again
I would been twice
Then i would marrie you
And have ten kids
I would surrender
Just to be with you
Heeeeeeeeeeee
So now I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart
I feel so sorry from the way we had to part
How could I let you go, How could I
Now I'm so sorry
Heeeeeeeeeeeeee
Well I'm so sorry
Well I'm so sorry
How could I let you go, How could I
Well I'm so sorry
Well I'm so sorry
Baby baby, baby baby baby
Well I'm so sorry
Baby baby, baby baby baby
Well I'm so sorry
Baby baby, baby baby baby
Well I'm so sorry
Baby baby, baby baby baby
Well I'm so sorry
Baby, do you understand,
That I have to say goodbye to you my friend,
Please don't think it's easy for me to do.
Youre my best friend and I still love you too.
Into the night I cry, can anybody tell me why,
Ive got to leave before my heart will die
Im so scared (2x)
Im scared of what the future will bring
Im scared of almost everything,
Help me...
Baby, am I making a big mistake,
Am I chasing a dream, is it better for me to wait.
But I can't ignore it, I keep feeling blue.
The world invites me to find love that's true.
Into the night I cry, can anybody tell me why,
Ive got to leave before my heart will die.
Im so scared (2x)
Im scared of what the future will bring,
Im scared of almost everything,
Help me...
Who am I
Who am I now
Who am I, here will I go
Who am I, who wants you, I do
Im so... (2x)
Im so, so, so, so scared
Im so scared (2x)
Im scared of what the future will bring,
Im scared of almost everything, help me...
Im scared of what the world might give,
Im scared to lose the life that we live,
Im scared to make a big mistake,
Im scared, just wanna feel this faith,
Im scared (2x)
Im scared of what the future will bring,
I walk in the sunshine
with my head in the clouds
my feet are sore from traveling
her sweet lips were more made to kiss
than to cry from pain
or roses after an evening's rain
a shadow is drawn across the plain
salient winds blows over me
her hair is bound with myrtle leaves
green grasses through her yellow sheaves
she is too fair for any man to see
or hold his heart's delight
Fairer than the queen or courtesan
moonlit waters in the night
she passes by me
her face is as the fading stain
where the peach reddens to the south
where is my true lover gone?
as I listen to the linnet's song
O where O where can she be
lamenting ocean wash over me
Deep inside I can feel, our love is real,
Deeper then deep.
You’ve touched my son, you,
You made me hold just with a kiss.
I’ve been hurt before, now I have to close the door,
To all my pain.
For a brand new starting, to, open up my heart,
Let love flow.
Baby, hold me, touch me, love me if u can.
Hold me and feel me, let me smile again.
I have to learn again, how to trust a man,
And how to love.
Don’t turn your back on me in times, when it’s hard for me,
Just let it be.
And hold me, touch me, love me if u can
Hold me and feel me, make me smile again.
Since the day I met u,
I think of nothing else.
Gif me your love, deeper then deep.
Deep inside my soul,
You can make me hold,
Give me love, love
Nananananananananananana...
Baby hold me, touch me, love me if u can,
Come and see me feel me
Now or never
Heal me thrill me
I hope forever
Heal me tonight- will be by my side
My Love ...
Is it true I can rely on you
When I saw you there for the first time
Standing alone at the night train
Ive been laying my heart on the line
This love will last for a life time
Im missing your touch give me your sign
With you I feel eternity
You will never be alone
Come on let us face the storm
We can just rely on love
I will never break your heart

But darling thrill me steal my lonely heart tonight

To know, you don`t love me anymore

The sun is schining but the only thing i feel inside is rain,
Erying rivers
And it hurts me oh and it hurts me
To know, you don`t love me anymore

To feel, you don`t love me anymore.......
Anymore.........
You don`t love me anymore........

(Bush): "We need to break the cycle of violence"
(Roosevelt): : "The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself"
(Bush): "it's essential"
Mighty men, do you know the names
Of the innocent people used up in your games
You give one-way tickets to eternal lives
To our parents, children, husbands and wives
A world in sorrow, is what you leave behind
Yet nobody stops you, are we all so blind
See those angels fly, while our brothers die
Chorus:
Tell me, tell me, why do fools rule the world
To gain power with our lives
Fools, we let fools fool with other peoples' lives
Enjoy your freedom, when you've lost your child
When hurt captures your heart, you're a prisoner for live
Killing the beast, doesn't ease the pain
Hate has never brought love
Chorus:
Tell me, tell me, why do fools rule the world
To gain power with our lives
Hanging from your bones
You step like more than three feet tall
Watch the faces of hope
It never felt so strong
I was made to accept the world alone
Fool
I was created to move
Inspire
Blaze with gold, but eyes closed
Admire
You took up my room
I was placed much higher
Chorus:
I was your Judith
I was your Judith
I was your Judith
I was your Judith
