A general officer is an officer of high military rank, usually in the army, and in some nations, the air force. The term is widely used by many nations of the world, and when a country uses a different term, there is an equivalent title given.
The term "general" is used in two ways: as the generic title for all grades of general officer; and as a specific rank. Since the late twentieth century, the rank of general is usually the highest active rank of a military not at war.
The various grades of general officer are at the top of the rank structure. Lower-ranking officers are known as field officers or field-grade officers, and below them are company-grade officers. All officers who commanded more than a single regiment came to be known as "general officers".[citation needed] The word "general" is used in its ordinary sense in English (and other languages) as relating to larger, general, military units, rather than smaller units in particular.
There are two common systems of general ranks.
Variations of one form, the old European system, were once used throughout Europe. It is used in the United Kingdom (although it did not originate there), from which it eventually spread to the Commonwealth and the United States of America. The general officer ranks are named by prefixing "general", as an adjective, with field officer ranks, although in some countries the highest general officers are titled field marshal or marshal.
El General (born Edgardo Franco) is a Panamanian Reggae artist considered by some to be one of the Fathers of Reggaeton. During the early 1990s, he initiated the Spanish spoken dancehall that would later become reggaeton. Early examples of this were the international and somewhat mainstream songs, “Te Ves Buena” and “Tu Pum Pum.” Both songs, performed in Spanish rap, were very successful in North America. After getting his foot in the door of the commercial market, many other Spanish rappers became famous in the mainstream as well, such as Vico C and DJ Negro. He has a unique, easy to listen to style of dance music and has produced many well known songs all over Latin America. His musical works have become popular in Latin America over the last few years. This style is called Reggae en Español which would later form Reggaeton, because he makes reggae music with Spanish lyrics.
El General began singing and composing songs at the age of 12 in Rio Abajo, his home. After getting a scholarship, the young artist moved to the U.S. to study business administration, soon becoming a professional accountant. He started his career when he was 19 years old, and during 17 years, his albums achieved gold status 32 times and platinum 17 times, and several other awards. El General's type of music from Panama was something much different from the reggae of Jamaica. The popular music in Panama was called petroleo.
Lex Luthor: [to Superman] I can't think of a morning I haven't woken up with the thought of strangling you. That sanctimonious image of yours fooled everyone except me. Because I know evil.
Lex Luthor: You can't touch me. We're on American soil now. And I am the president.::Superman: Consider yourself impeached.
Batman: You're going to go and meet with him, aren't you?::Superman: You know me too well. I can't just stand back and do nothing.::Batman: Well, when it all goes south, don't count on me to save you.::Superman: I won't. I know you pretty well too.
Batman: The kryptonite is near your heart. I don't know if I'll get it before the wound closes.::Superman: Where's The Flash when you need him?::Batman: Do me a favor and lose the sense of humor.::Superman: Do us both a favor and buy one.
Superman: Why is it that good villains never die?::Batman: Clark, what the hell are good villains?
Superman: Mongul wasn't his usual talkative self.::Batman: And Grundy sounded like William F. Buckley.
Batman: I suppose it's useless to tell you to leave.::Superman: I wouldn't miss this for anything.::Batman: Your funeral.::Superman: Already had one.
Superman: It doesn't take the wisdom of Solomon to know you should stay down.::Superman: Tell me something, Captain Marvel. Would Solomon have gone to work for Lex Luthor?
Captain Marvel: [to Superman] You know, you've never been any good against magic. And magic's what I'm all about.
Toyman: [referring to rocket] Oh, one other thing. Back when I designed it, I was way into hero worship.::Superman: You are absolutely sure this is going to work?::Toyman: Does Power Girl have big...?::Batman: Just feed it the numbers, kid.

Plot
Set as a film within a film, or a film about a film being made, this psychological drama weaves in mystical themes with themes of the mystery of creating a work of art. The film that is being made is based on Pär Lagerkvist's novel "Barabbas." Barabbas was the criminal crucified along side of Jesus that was chosen by the Isrealites to be pardoned instead of Jesus. The problem is that the director of the film cannot find anyone to play the role of Jesus, until someone suggests a man from a local clinic for the mentally retarded. At the clinic, this man is regarded as a real Messiah and holy teacher. When he arrives on set, he immediately creates an uproar and the effect is that he reveals all the evil going on in and around the set itself. He is repulsed by the idea that people who have no faith themselves, would dare to try to make a film about Christ, and as such, he takes up the cross on the set and drags it through the streets of Yeveran, back to the clinic, where he insists that he be crucified for real...will they do it??

there was a decorated general with
a heart of gold, that likened him to
all the stories he told
of past battles, won and lost, and
legends of old a seasoned veteran in
his own time
on the battlefield, he gained
respectful fame with many metals
of bravery and stripes to his name
he grew a beard as soon as he could
to cover the scars on his face
and always urged his men on
but on the eve of a great battle
with the infantry in dream
the old general tossed in his sleep
and wrestled with its meaning
he awoke from the night
just to tell what he had seen
and walked slowly out of his tent
all the men held tall with their
chests in the air, with courage in
their blood and a fire in their stare
it was a grey morning and they all
wondered how they would fare
till the old general told them to go home
I have seen the others
and I have discovered
that this fight is not worth fighting
I have seen their mothers
and I will no other
to follow me where I'm going
Take a shower, shine your shoes
you got no time to lose
you are young men you must be living
go now you are forgiven
but the men stood fast with their
guns on their shoulders not knowing
what to do with the contradicting orders
the general said he would do his own
duty bout would not extend it not further
the men could go as they pleased
not a man moved, their eyes glazed
straight ahead till one by one they
stepped back and not a word was said
and the old general was left with his
own words echoing in his head
he then prepared to fight
(Chorus)
Let me be your general
Let me love you protect and serve you
I´m not being cynical
No more fighting cause we stand strong
(Larsito)
Let me be your tank
I´m gonna show off my armour
No more drama much more than a friend
Can´t nobody harm you
I´m gonna always defend you
(Bridge)
When it´s cold
I put my arms around you
Let my love surround you
And when we grow old
I still have your back even under attack
(Chorus)
Let me be your general
Let me love you protect and serve you
I´m not being cynical
No more fighting cause we stand strong
(Itchy)
Girl ich will dein General sein
Chef deiner Division, Offizier und Gentelman
Boss in deinem Bataillon
(Bridge)
When it´s cold
I put my arms around you
Let my love surround you
And when we grow old
I still have your back even under attack
(Chorus)
Let me be your general
Chef deiner Division
I´m not being cynical
No more fighting cause we stand strong
Let me be your general
Boss in deinem Batallion
I´m not being cynical
No more fighting cause we stand strong
(Mr Reedoo)
You never get done on the battlefield
Protected by my shield
Love is the only way
To stop the gun from barking all day
See the sun rising
Like day and night our love will stay
Girl I´m gonna fight for you
By any means necessary
All rivals get burried
Me close an x-file for you
And no mission too tough to be on
Me want you to know
(Chorus)
Let me be your general
Chef deiner Division
I´m not being cynical
No more fighting cause we stand strong
Let me be your general
Boss in deinem Batallion
I´m not being cynical
No more fighting cause we stand strong
Let me be your general
