of CCP Head Xi Jinping taking his position,
although he knocked down some of his opponents
within the CCP, in order to consolidate his position,
he had to control the army.
So after the new Gutian Meeting, Xi began
to make major adjustments to the army.
"China Affairs" magazine Chief Editor Wu Fan:
"Army is his lifeline. If the army cannot fully be grasped,
then his power is actually virtual and empty.
He is very concerned that he could be overturned
by the army. If there is a military coup,
then he will be overthrown.
The Armed Police Forces were also replaced with the
Commanders and Political Commissars.
The new Commander is Wang Ning, who has a deep relationship
with Xi Jinping when Xi worked in the Fujian Province.
