Afdlin Shauki, also known as Chief Kodok to his fans, is a Malaysian writer, director, stage and screen actor, comedian, singer, songwriter and presenter.
A singer, musician and live performer, Afdlin, together with his band Acid Iz, presents a flavour of R&B, acid jazz and funk. His debut album FUUYO! was released late 2003.
In 1992 he performed for an audience of 50,000 in the Ikhlas Concert alongside Zainal Abidin, Sheila Majid, Amir Yussof and more.
Afdlin has been working as an actor, director and presenter for TV and Film. For his role as Host on the late night talk show “Bila Larut Malam” on Astro, Afdlin received the award for Best Presenter in an Entertainment Programme during the prestigious 1999 Asian Television Awards. He has hosted the illustrious Malaysian music industry awards night (AIM Awards) for six years running, as well as game shows, sports, music and lifestyle programmes.
With his production company, Vision Works, Afdlin produced the comedy sketch show, “Ah-Ha”, co-starring Harith Iskander. He also played as Bobo on the series “Phua Chu Kang”, produced by Mediacorp Studios, Singapore, and airing on TCS Singapore and TV3 Malaysia. Leading up to 2007 he starred as the lead in a local sitcom, “Show Me The Money”, and directed the English language “Island FM”, which he conceptualised and was produced by Vision Works.

Born Mia Sarapocciello in Brooklyn Heights, New York City, to Jerome Sarapocciello,[citation needed] a photographer and artist, and Diana Sarapociello, a stylist and also a photographer, she attended St. Ann's School, in Brooklyn, New York City.
Sara's breakthrough roles came in the mid-1980's as Princess Lily, playing opposite Tom Cruise in Legend and as Ferris Bueller's girlfriend, Sloane in the 1986 film Ferris Bueller's Day Off. She also appeared in the miniseries Queenie, a roman à clef on actress Merle Oberon, as well as 1992's A Stranger Among Us, directed by Sidney Lumet. In 1994 she starred opposite Jean Claude Van Damme in the blockbuster Timecop, for which she won the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Her television roles have included playing Annie Knox in the science fiction series Time Trax and Dr. Harleen Quinzel in the short-lived WB Network superhero show Birds of Prey.
