Genre : altenative rock Track listing : Mamma (Astoria, Londres, juin 1988), Siggi Interview, Cold Sweat (Astoria, Londres, juin 1988), Bragi Interview The members of The Sugarcubes had formerly been in a variety of Icelandic bands. Björk had the longest career out of any of the members—she had recorded an album as early as 11 years old, and in her late teens, she joined the Icelandic post-punk band Tappi Tikarrass, who released two albums before splitting in 1983. Drummer Siggi (Sigtryggur) Baldursson was a member of þeyr, and Einar Örn Benediktsson and Bragi Ólafsson formed a punk band called Purrkur Pillnikk. By 1984, Björk, Einar Örn, and Siggi had formed the supergroup KUKL with keyboardist Einar Melax, and released 2 albums[1] on the independent British record label Crass Records. The Sugarcubes formed on June 8, 1986, with vocalist Björk, Björk's then-husband Þór (Thor) Eldon on guitar, and Bragi Ólafsson on bass. (That same day Björk gave birth to her and Þór Eldon's son, Sindri Eldon).[2] The band's music was characterized by a psychedelic post-punk sound sometimes reminiscent of The B-52's and Talking Heads, whimsical yet heartfelt lyrics, and the imploring, girlish voice of Björk, accompanied by Einar Orn's erratic vocal performances. In late 1987, the band signed to One Little Indian in the UK, Elektra Records in the US. The Sugarcubes released their debut album, Life's Too Good, in 1988, to critical acclaim in both the UK and the US. They first came to notice in the UK when radio DJ John Peel played "Birthday".[3] It became an indie hit in Britain, later voted single of the year, and a college radio hit in America. "Cold Sweat" and "Deus" were also released as singles and made the lower reaches of the UK charts, while the US single "Motorcrash" went top ten in the Modern Rock charts. By the time the group recorded its second album, Þór had divorced Björk and married Magga Ornolfsdottir, who became the group's keyboardist after Einar Melax left. Bragi divorced his wife, who happened to be the twin sister of Siggi's wife. It was rumoured that he entered into a civil partnership with Einar Örn, but this turned out to be a hoax. Here Today, Tomorrow Next Week!, the band's second album, was released in 1989. The greater vocal contribution by Einar Örn on the record was criticized in many of the record's reviews, which were noticeably weaker than those for Life's Too Good. The singles "Regina" and "Planet" topped the UK indie charts but fared poorly in the mainstream charts outside of Iceland. After the release of Here Today, Tomorrow Next Week!, the band embarked on a lengthy international tour. At the conclusion of the tour in late 1990, the bandmembers pursued their own individual interests. Stick Around for Joy, the band's third album, was released in February 1992. Stick Around for Joy received better reviews than Here Today, Tomorrow Next Week!, and spawned the band's first big hit single, the aptly titled "Hit". Further singles "Walkabout" and "Vitamin" failed to make any chart impact however, and shortly after the album's release, The Sugarcubes disbanded. A collection of remixes entitled It's It was released in October 1992 along with a re-release of "Birthday" which was backed by numerous remixes of the song. The band remain friends to this day and are all still involved in the management of record label Smekkleysa (Bad Taste Ltd). On November 17, 2006, the band had a one-off reunion concert at Laugardalshöll sport arena in Reykjavík, Iceland, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut single with all profits going to the non-profit Smekkleysa SM to promote Icelandic music.[4] They were supported by fellow Icelandic groups múm and Rass. Despite this reunion, the group has expressed that it has no intention to play future shows or record new material.

Icelandic author Sjón is a rock ‘n’ roll renaissance man. He writes poetry, pens lyrics for Björk, wrote a whale-watching ‘splatter film’, and won the Nordic equivalent of the Man Booker for his novel The Blue Fox. His latest novel, From the Mouth of the Whale, has just been shortlisted for the 2012 Independent Foreign Fiction Prize. His passion is melding ancient Icelandic traditions with the avant garde, mixing ‘myths and crackpot theories together with my need to tell a story’. Here, in conversation with Alan Brough, Sjón discusses his many creations, from his first, self-published works of poetry to his Johnny Triumph (of the Sugarcubes' ‘Luftgitar’ fame). One thing is clear: Iceland features prominently on Sjón’s mind. He discusses the nation’s “culture of literature” and “history made of poetry”, its tradition of self-publishing, its creative productivity (offering that “culture is one of the cheapest things a society can produce … it doesn’t need anything except the creative mind”) and details his rebellion against Iceland’s canonical tradition in favour of folk culture (see also: furry trout), which he found entirely compatible with his emerging punk surrealism. And, of course, he reveals a little of his collaborations with Björk and Lars Von Trier - both of whom he describes as “very nice and civilised”. He also muses on the process of his work: from assessing translators to historical settings (“I like to go in there and take part”), writing quickly, poetic inspirations and the rule that guides his own poetry. And he credits David Bowie for introducing him to the “hidden desires” of surrealism.

Adam Fure, SIFT Studio "Sugar Cubes and Moon Rocks" Recorded June 24, 2014 Through his Ann Arbor design practice, SIFT Studio, Adam Fure works to enliven “old substances through new treatments; composing new aesthetic mixtures from the matter at [one’s] fingertips.” Through these experiments, SIFT Studio “promotes architecture’s unique capacity to shape experience, which is neither essentialized nor thought to be static and singular.” Recent work includes a multimedia installation in Stuttgart, Germany, that transforms space, sound, and light into variable dimensions and a conceptual mirror house that was a finalist for BOFFO Building Fashion’s Linda Farrow competition in 2013. SIFT Studio is one of the winners of the 2014 Architectural League Prize, one of North America’s most prestigious awards for young architects and designers. The prize, established in 1981, recognizes exemplary and provocative work by young practitioners and provides a public forum — through lectures, an exhibition, and a catalogue — for the exchange of their ideas. In his League Prize lecture, “Sugar Cubes and Moon Rocks,” Fure revisits Georges Bataille’s concept of l’informe, which encourages his interest in altering and deforming materials through custom techniques. Fure presents six projects: Hover, Artifacts, Mirror Mirror, Michigan House, Other Grounds, and Rocks that explore the articulation of form, experiment with materiality, and navigate the relationship of objects to nature.
The Shingeki no Kyojin panel from Närcon vinter 2015 Sweden. Okay, so the panel was held in a corridor at the convention since it was trouble finding a room for it. That's why sadly alot of people were passing by during it... Also, sadly the panel couldn't finish all though thanks to the problem of not finding a another place/room to finish it. But otherwise it went pretty well. I'll excuse as well if the sound is bad. I'll be back at putting lyrics to it as well! Enjoy it as well as you can, sugarcubes!! Forgive me for filming the panel from a bad angle, it was hard finding a good place to stand at...

Philadelphia Daily News 2015-01-23The Sugarcubes (Sykurmolarnir in Icelandic) were an Icelandic alternative rock band formed in 1986 and disbanded in 1992. They received critical and popular acclaim internationally.
The members of The Sugarcubes had formerly been in a variety of Icelandic bands. Björk had the longest career out of any of the members - she had recorded an album as early as 11 years old, and in her late teens, she joined the Icelandic post-punk band Tappi Tikarrass, who released two albums before splitting in 1983. Drummer Siggi (Sigtryggur) Baldursson was a member of þeyr, and Einar Örn Benediktsson and Bragi Olafsson formed a punk band called Purrkur Pillnikk. By 1984, Björk, Einar Örn, and Siggi had formed the supergroup KUKL with keyboardist Einar Melax, and released several singles on the independent British record label Crass.
The Sugarcubes formed on June 8, 1986, with vocalist Björk, Björk's then-husband Þór (Thor) Eldon on guitar, and Bragi Olafsson on bass. (That same day Björk gave birth to her and Þór Eldon's son, Sindri Eldon.)
Veik I leikfang
Veik I leikfang
Veik I leikfang
Veik I leikfang
This girl I know
She's sick for toys, sick for toys
She needs a new toy
A brand new toy
She's tired of her old toys
She's got a big house full of old toys
What can she do?
She needs a new toy
Sick, sick, sick for toys
Sick, sick, sick for toys
She is sick, sick for toys
She disposes of her old toys
She badly needs a new toy
In a small garden she finds a small boy
She smiles, she's happy
She found her new toy, a small boy
She's sick for toys
She needs a new toy
To watch her, comb her hair
Comb all of her hair
Sick, sick, sick for toys
Sick, sick, sick for toys
She is sick, sick for toys
She is sick, sick for toys
She really is sick for toys
This girl I know found a new toy
A boy, she used him to watch her comb hair
Day in, day out, night in, night out
She really was sick for toys
In the end she fell asleep
The boy cut off her hair, all of her hair
She was bald
Riding on my bicycle
I saw a motorcrash
A proper motorcrash
Lots of spectators
I rushed to the center
Saw the injured parents
Cuts on the children
An awful motorcrash
So dangerous motorcrash
So terribly bloody
Motorcrash
Destructive motorcrash
I took the mother
Sneaked with her secretly
All the way to my home
And nursed her gently
Put on her bandages
Gave her milk and biscuits
She sighed pleasantly after this
Awful motorcrash
So dangerous, dangerous
Motorcrash
Motorcrash
Destructive motorcrash
That girl on that bicycle
Showed great interest
In all the motorcrashes in the neighborhood
She look quite innocent
Then we disguised ourselves
Took a taxi to her home
When her husband answered the door
She introduced herself, he said, "Where have you been all this time?"
But believe in me
I know what innocence looks like
But she showed great interest
Björk
I admit I like you for your brains
But you won't try, there is no fun in it
You know what life is all about
But haven't got guts to enjoy it
Come on, I'll make you wet
Bubbles, foam of intelligence
Einar
'cos you just want me for
My little brains, I don't know
What I am doing 'cos
I just know you want
Me for my little brain
'cos I am your little brain
You are, you are just
You are just trying me
Björk
You're stuck in your civilised home
Sulking over other's stupidity
You're awfully clever, but dry
I'll get you soaked to the skin
Einar
Just try me out
For strength and I don't know
What you want really from me
'cos I am just trying
You want me for my juicy wits
'cos you don't know what I am
Björk
You know what life is all about
But haven't got guts to enjoy
Juicy wits, that's what you need
Juicy wits..
Einar
You only want me for my
Little things called brains
But I know that I can
Recage? you all over the party
But you know what I am
You just want something
Different, but you must get
My juicy, my juicy wit
'cos my wit is...
Björk
There's only one way
Come on, jump in
And get what's around you
There's only one, only one life
Björk
Bubbles, bubbles,
Foam of intelligence
Bubbles, bubbles..
I'm warping the wicket
Unbearable in cohabitation
I don't close tin jars
I wake up too early in the day
I'm warping the wicket
Wicket, wicket, wicket
Compry, compry, compry,
Compry, compry,
Compry, ooh!
I'm warping the wicket
Wicket, wicket, wicket!
Compry, compry, compry,
Compry, compry,
Compry, ooh!
She isn't any longer!
She isn't any longer!
I'm warping the wicket
Wicket, wicket, wicket!
Compry, compry, compry,
Compry, compry,
Compry, ooh!
I'm warping the wickeeeeeet
Björk
Such a feeling's coming over me,
There is wonder in most everything I see.
Not a cloud in the sky,
Got the sun in my eyes
And I won't be surprised if it's a dream..
Everything I want the world to be
Is now coming true especially for me.
And the reason is clear,
It's because you are here
You're the nearest thing to heaven that I've seen..
I'm on the top of the world
Looking down on creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I've found
Ever since you've been around
Your love puts me at the top of the world.
Something in the wind has learned my name
And it's telling me that things are not the same
On the leaves on the trees
And the touch of the breeze
There's a pleasing sense of happiness for me
There is only one wish on my mind
When the day is through I hope that I will find
That tomorrow will be
Just the same for you and me
All I need will be mine if you are here..
I'm on the top of the world
Looking down on creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I've found
Ever since you've been around
You'll have put me at the top of the world.
Einar
When I was young I listened to the radio
There be sha-la-la-la every moon still shine
There'd be singa-linga-ling
That the stars it would sing so fine
Björk
I'm on the top of the world
Looking down on creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I've found
Ever since you've been around
Your love put me at the top of the world.
Oh, is the love that I've found
Ever since you've been around
Your love put me at the top of the world
Oh, is the love that I've found
Ever since you've been around
Your love put me at the top of the world
Einar
All my past memories
Complicated to me,
Something really make me cry,
Just like before
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen
Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for the place to go
Where they play the right music, getting in the swing
You come in to look for a king
Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the music's high
With a bit of rock music, everything is fine
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance...
You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen
You're a teaser, you turn 'em on
Leave them burning and then you're gone
Looking out for another, anyone will do
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance...
You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen
Dig in the dancing queen
Dig in the dancing queen
Dig in the dancing queen
Björk
The man put out
His head and looked at me
I put him, put him
Underneath my shirt
Now he's scrathcing
In bus number 12
I sit in the back
And cough all the time
My bedroom
Is at the end of the corridore
Where I listen to cassettes
And especially loud tonight
So nobody hears him
He's mine, mine, mine, mine, mine
I'm gonna keep him
Underneath my bed
Yeah, yeah, he'll be loved here
Yeah yeah, could have kept him
Einar
Behind the curtains
She tucked me into darkness
I didn't know where I was
Or where I was going
I got scared
This was my first time
Away from home
I started to claw
Claw and scratch
Wanted to escape
The grave was worth
She won't let me go
She took me away x3
Björk
Yeah, yeah, will be loved here
Yeah yeah, could have kept him
Yeah, yeah, will be loved here
Yeah yeah, could have kept him
Einar
But she would
She wouldn-t let
Let me go
But she gave me
A good home
When she took me away
Björk
Yeah, yeah, will be loved here
Einar
Got a new, new home
Einar
I can't really
Stand anymore of this
All the lifeguards
Keep staring at me
I cant stand any
Oh I really can't
All I can say is
Why don't you
Björk & einar
Get me home said to cindy x3
Einar
I hate that
In my little room
All these robots
They really keep
Just squeaking
I really can't
Oh mommy take me home!
Björk & einar
Take me home said to cindy
Get me home said to cindy
Get me home said to cindy
Einar
Woah!
Where are you mummy?
I'm singing
Why cant you just be it
I'm ? ? ? into you
What she said
She said
Björk & einar
She tells me to sit up at home
She tells me to sit up at home
Getting home!
Get me home, said to cindy
She tells me to sit up at home
She tells me to sit up at home
Getting home
Einar
Oh I think I am
When I'm going poopoo
Why should i?
Why should I go poopoo?
I really don't know
So why?
I don't know
But she said
Björk & einar
Get me home I said to cindy
Get me home I said to cindy
Get me home
Einar
Yeah..
I went to my job today
I couldn't find my job today
My job was long gone
My job
Where is my job?
My job is
My job is
My job is long gone
I went to my job today
I couldn't find my job
I couldn't find my job
I went to my job today
My job was long, long, long, long,
Long, long, long, long, long, long,
Long, long, long, gone
But I want to job today
I couldn't find my job today
I need my job today
I need my job today
I was involved for work today
I need my job today
I need my job, job,
Job, job, job, job, job
I need my job, job
I need my job today
I need to get it today
You convinced me
That I am able
You make me strong
You're my vitamin
E> My pain is my pain
E> Your cure is vitamins
You're my sinking capsule
You're my vitamin...
E> I look at this pain of mine
E> I don't know what it is
E> You say I could have it easily
E> Fixed with some vitamins
Before the hair,
Before the skin,
You form a cell
You're my vitamin
E> My pain is my pain

E> If I try some of your pills,
E> Won't I have another pain?
E> You show me off in all these parties
E> So very proud of me
E> Telling everybody that I,
E> I am your little vitamin
E> You exit with me (??)
E> Like I was somebody
E> I am not your cure
E> To you I'm just another vitamin
E> I'm so confused
E> My pain is my pain
E> I don't know what it is
E> You say I can have it easily fixed with
E> With some vitamins
E> My pain is my pain,
E> Your cure is vitamins
E> In all these fancy parties
E> I won't have another pain
E> As a payment?
E> You want all of me
E> 'Cause I am your final cure
E> You show - show me off!
The universe it is so big
I feel dizzy when I think about it
My head swims I get giddy
Still I realize that long ago
It was so small I could have kept it
Underneath my little skirt
At least until the big bang happened
Every man, every woman
Sun planet the universe and me
When I'm excited and have to wait
My organs start to move, my lungs pump
Cells flow faster on tracks inside me
I demand to see myself from within
Be a cell for a day
Every man, every woman
Sun planet the universe and me
The planets and me we get along so well together
Gliding down imaginary rollercoaster-paths along the sky
I can do somersaults around Jupiter if I feel like it
Nothing can stop a planet
But a planet can stop anything at all
Every man, every woman
Einar
Meat meat blood blood
Sweat sweat meat!
Björk
I close the door
Shouldn't burn yet
The wires get hotter
Palms are glowing
This is hot meat
This is metallic blood
This is hot meat
This is open sweat
I'll show you with my fingers
Draw with the eye
With your own breath
I'll tear your lungs
Here is hot meat
This is metallic blood
Here is hot meat
This is open sweat
Einar
This side of the blackest meadows
I make my winter dwelling
And crush my bones
Björk
This is hot meat
This is metallic blood
This is ...hot meat!
I'll sail out the window
I'll walk down the edge
I will not finish
'Till I'm fully satisfied
This is hot meat
This is metallic blood
This is hot meat
This is open sweat

he lives next door, they listen to the weather, he knows how many freckles she'sgot, she

Cities over there stop but it doesn't matter
Because all's forbidden anyway

Everyone is so close to laughing,
This kind of joy won't last,
Something wonderful is about to happen
I feel perfectly ready
Don't know yet what it is
But i'll look inside this disco! Waouh!
This is so hot hot!
Oh, we melt together
Like tigers
And we're dancing
Together
Bow-wow
Chi-hua-hua-hua-hua-hua!
Dog, bad dog, bad dog, best dog
Bow-wow-wow-wow-wow

are behind the green movement (environmentalism). Their purported
intention is to make everybody wear green so that when they come
they will blend in... Pretty scary, huh? -- Scott)

This wasn't supposed to happen,
I was happy by myself.
Accidently, you seduced me,
I'm in love again.
I lie in my bed,
Totally still,
My eyes wide open.
I'm in rapture.
I don't believe this,
I'm in love again!
This wasn't
Supposed to happen,
I've been hit
With your charm.
How could you do this
To me?
I'm in love
Again...
I lie in my bed,

My eyes wide open.
I'm in rapture.

You've put a seed inside me,
(oh)
And while you're away,
(see...)
It's growing silently,
(to be a life)
Starts in my stomach.
Embraces my insides,
(in time..)
And about to reach my heart.
This wasn't supposed to happen!
This wasn't supposed to happen!

She has one friend, he lives next door
They're listenening to the weather
He knows how many freckles she's got
She scratches his beard
She's painting huge books
And glues them together
They saw a big raven
It glided down the sky
She touched it
Ohh...
Today is a birthday
They're smoking cigars
He's got a chain of flowers
And sows a bird in her knickers
Ohhh...
They're smoking cigars
They lie in the bathtub
A chain of ... flowers
( Velvet Underground Cover )
Standing on the corner, suitcase in my hand,
Jack is in his corset, and Jane is in her vest, and, me,
I'm in a rock'n'roll band.
Ridin' in a Stutz-Bearcat, Jim
Y'know, those were different times!
Oh, all the poet, they studied rules of verse,
And the ladies, they rolled their eyes.
Sweet Jane! Sweet Jane! Sweet Jane!
Jack, he is a banker,
And Jane, she is a clerk.
Both of them save their monies,
And when, when they come home from work!
Ooh! Sittin' down by the fire, oh!
The radio just play,
The classical music there, Jim.
"The March of the Wooden Soldiers".
And you can hear Jack say, get ready, ah,
Sweet Jane! Sweet Jane! Oh! Sweet Jane!
Some people, they like to go out dancing,
And other peoples, they have to work.
And there's even some evil mothers,
They're gonna tell you that everything is just dirt.
Y'know that, women, never really faint,
And that villains always blink their eye
We know children are the only ones who blush!
My punctuality is well known
When the revolution takes place
I'll be late
And be shot as a traitor
When the revolution takes place
When the sun rises I will not see a thing
I regret nothing, it was worth it
To go through life without an hourglass
It paid off
It paid off profusely
My reward was to be free and alone
Even now tied to the pillar
Blindfold at sunrise
And drums are Catalan beating
My heartbeat keeps up with the drums
But soon my pulse will fade away
My fade away, I smile
For I know when the sun rises

You want to make him happy
He loves you
He wants to humiliate you

Einar
You have torn me, Inside out.
Nothing but, a nervous wreck.
You have got me, on a leash,
You whip me with, a leash called love..
I've lost all sense of direction, you make me a victim
To your friends' nasty remarks, and I don't know how
I survive, I can no longer
Distinguish from, right or wrong,
Sane insane, whip me back,
Back and forth, paranoid.
Leash called love..
Wait for me underneath the water
Wait for me I have to go now
Into the big city
She pulls me firmly towards her
Wait for me underneath the water
Wait for me here
You'll be fine underneath the water
I'll be back early next summer
We met again at the lake
After all these years,
You said "want a drink?"
I love you
And you know I will be back
Hold your breath
And nestle into the ice
Wait for me underneath the water
Wait for me and count to ten
You'll look up and I will be there
Wait for me
The lake was frozen,
You took me for a walk over the ice,
I cracked
The ice cracked
I fell into the lake
I watched you through the eyes
Love into you
Wait for me underneath the water
Wait for me and singalong
"She's coming, coming, coming"
Wait for me
I watched you through the ice
I expected you to crawl for help
I smiled, you just stood there
I tried to kiss you through the ice,
I admire the curves,
The golden landscape.
I wanna be there
Right with you.
That's where I'm staying,
Where no-one can find me
In the depths of the valleys
Magnificent landscape
Delicious boy,
With animal eyes,
Beautiful buttocks,
Haunting movements.
But the thing that makes me love you
Is the unforgettable smell of your skin.
There's a hole and there's a stick.
There's a cove and there's a ship,
That goes in and out of the harbour.
The heavy pear,
Totally ripe.
Adorable fruits
So generous.
This is where I'm staying,
Where no-one can find me,
In the depths of the valleys.
Magnificent landscape.
Delicious boy,
With animal eyes,
Beautiful buttocks,
Haunting movements.
But the thing that makes me love you
Is the unforgettable smell of your skin.
There's a hole and there's a stick.
There's a tunnel and there's a train.
There's a cove and there's a ship,
That goes in and out of the harbour.
Mountains of Nutrition.
Two, side by side,
Above a Navel
And under a chin,
That's where I'm staying,
Where no-one can find me.
In the depths of the valleys,
Magnificent landscape.

Oh, sun rises
When the sun rises I will not see
I regret nothing, it was worth it
Going through life without a timepiece
Did pay off
Sun rises, I will not see
My reward to be free and alone
Even now at the pillar, blindfold at sunrise
Hearing the drums of Catalan
Beating my time away
The sun rises, I will not, I will not see
My heartbeat keeps time with the drums
But soon my only pulse will fade away

I smile just knowing

Björk
Riding on my bicycle
I saw a motorcrash
A proper motorcrash
Lots of spectators
I rushed to the center
Saw the injured parents
Cuts on the children
An awful motorcrash
So dangerous motorcrash
So terribly bloody
Motorcrash
Destructive motorcrash
I took the mother
Sneaked with her secretly
All the way to my home
And nursed her gently
I put on her bandages, gave her
Milk and biscuits
She sighed pleasantly after this
Awful motorcrash
So dangerous, dangerous
Motorcrash
Motrocrash
Destructive motorcrash
Einar
That girl on that bicycle
Showed great interest
In all the motorcrashes in the neighbourhood
She look quite innocent
Björk
Then we disguised ourselves
Took a taxi to her home
When her husband answered the door
She introduced herself
He said "Where have you been all this time?"
Einar
Believe you-me
I know what inoccent looks like
She showed great interest
After she got that bicycle
Who is it? Who'll get the sting?
Who'll get the stripes? Black and yellow
A dangerous creature, chattering wings
Flashing antennae, who is it?
It buzzes fine, the bee
Buzzes fine, stings deep
I play a frightened little game
I eject myself at scary speed
In front of cars and I go yeah
She is it, she's got the sting
She's dangerous, she stings
He gets stung, he is out
She gets the honey, she is it
She flies great, the bee
Flies great, stings deep
The cars freeze from fright
When they see my beautiful body and tongue
Then I speed away
But no one catches me
I'm the fastest bee in town
Oh, hot bee, Queen of heaven
With glossy trunk buzz to me
I want to be stung, I want to be out
Here is the honey, you're it
It stings deep, the bee
It stings deep, oh oh

No longer gold made from dirt
The only thing I get is space food on a tray

Björk
This wasn't supposed to happen
I was happy by myself
Accidently you seduced me
I'm in love again
I lie in my bed, Totally still
My eyes wide open, I'm in rapture
I don't believe this, I'm in love again!
This wasn't supposed to happen
I've been hit with your charm
How could you do this to me?
I'm in love again
I lie in my bed - totally still,
My eyes wide open - I'm in rapture.
I don't believe this, I'm in love again
This wasn't supposed to happen!
This wasn't supposed to happen!
Eg og hann, ég og hann...
Einar
A small story which never happened
I said ouch! this really hurts!
That can't be this has been
Practised for millions of years
Therefore we are
Yes, but I, I'm a boy
A small story which always happens
I said ouch! this really hurts!
This could well be
But this has
Been practised for millions of years
Therefore we are
Yes, but, you're a girl!
Björk
I lie in my bed - totally still
My eyes wide open - I'm in rapture
I don't believe this - I'm in love again
This wasn't supposed to happen!
I lie in my bed - totally still
My eyes wide open - I'm in rapture
I'm in rapture
You've put a seed inside me
Oh , and while you're away
Seed
It's growing silently
To be a life
Starts in my stomach
Embraces my insides
Inside
And about to reach my heart
This wasn't supposed to happen!
This wasn't supposed to happen!
Eg og hann, ég og hann...
Einar
This really hurts!
There were four of us, one of us was the landlord
There were, we were on a drinking spree
I had eaten my take-away
I washed my landlord, he was covered in gravy
The others were amazed how dirty he was
How I was, but I said, he never took a bath
He never takes a bath, so why, why don't we just shoot him?
Why don't you shoot him?
Why don't you shoot him?
Why don't you shoot him?
Why don't you just shoot him?
I said that's no polite manner to behave in
But something like that I was too drunk to remember
I said, he can't suffer the cold water, he'll die! He'll die!
They said no way, Jose! I said, my name ain't Jose
He said, yes it is
But I think he was already dead
He suffered a stroke in the bath
So why don't you shoot him?
Why don't you shoot him?
Why don't you shoot him?
Why don't you shoot him?
Why don't you shoot him?
Why don't you just shoot him?
I said oh no
And he was so dirty
But why give him a bath?
Why don't you just give him a bullet
Why don't you shoot him?
Why don't you shoot him?
I close the door
(I close the door)
I shouldn't burn yet
(No it won't)
But the wires get hotter
(It's sure to get hotter)
My palms are glowing
(My palms are glowing, oh)
This is hot meat
This is metallic blood
This is hot meat
This is open sweat
I'm gonna show you with my fingers
(With her fingers)
I'll have to draw with the eye
(Draw with the eyes)
With your own breath
(With her own breath)
I'll tear your lungs
Oh, this is hot meat
This is metallic blood
This is is hot meat
Open sweat
Well I'll be damned
If this ain't the country and
Western version of cold sweat
I heard that months ago
It's bad, bad, bad
But in this side of the blackest meadows
I'll make my winter dwelling
And then, I crush my bones
Oh, this is hot meat
This is metallic blood
Is hot meat
Open sweat
I'll sail out the window
I'll walk down the edge
I will not finish
'Til I'm fully satisfied
This is hot meat
This is metallic blood
This is hot meat
Hot meat
Metallic blood
Hot meat
Björk
I wake up and know that
This is the day I'm leaving
I'm going alone with no map
I need room I need space
Have to try something that
Hasn't been done before
I want to go to places
Where I don't know what its like
Björk
...
Listen, I'm hungry
Thirsty for surprises
Ready for experience
Have to get what I need right now
Björk
I'm by the road hitchhiking
And a car has stopped.
As I climb in to it,
I'm struck with hot joy

Am I on my way out?
Lying in the grass, and allow myself to dream
Am I going further?
I want to go on, am I dreaming?
Have I gone crazy in my sleep?
Shake my head can someone find
Björk
Listen, I'm hungry
Listen, I'm hungry
Einar
Find me Einar's food, someone find Einar's food
I said I'm hungry!, I had good food in society
Why am I so hungry, on my way out?
Einar's food is not good...

Cowboy, cowboy, in the big town
I?m a cowboy in the big town, I?m looking for my pony
A mans best friend is his pony
I'm, I?m a cowboy, I'm cowboy
I need my pony, I lost my pony in the big town
I?m a cowboy in the big city looking for my pony
I?m a cowboy, I?m a cowboy, I?m a cowboy
I?m not alone, not lonely, not alone, not lonely
I?m a cowboy, I?m stuck like a cowboy in the big city
And he affects me, the odour of his skin, oh
It works in my head, I wanna eat him, I wanna be in him
I?m a cowboy smelt like I sat in, in a tine-mine
My nose is struck in the back, my back is struck
But who knows I am, I am a cowboy, cowboy
On the second floor, on a brass bed in a big city
I found my pony but I paid a prize
I got a silver-bullet through my heart
I?m a were-cowboy, I am a were-cowboy, a were, were-cowboy
A were-cowboy, were-cowboy, were-cowboy
i saw a woman walking down my street, with grace so beautifully care-
fully. she's a big and pretty mother swinging her handbag back and forth so
joyfully she's drawing circles with her breasts in her jumper. give me a big
mother, huge and loving one, i can crawl upon a cling to, a large woman, warm
and cuddly wet lady, strong mother. she's walking down the street, in front
of my window whistling funky tunes in the ears of my neighbours. give me a
big mother, one that would always want me. hot embracing mother, i can crawl
upon and cling to you can't be safer can't be more secure than with a breast
in each palm, thats the way i was born and thats the way i want to die. give
me a big mother, soft and wet one, that would caress me in all those special

Came from the east,
Relative forgot,
To scrape away,
Land in south,
Exhausted engine,
No teeth,
No chance to stop,
Meet Johnny.
Björk
Came from the east,
Like the sun,
But with tired engine,
Regina otherwise magnificent,
Regina in good bloom,
Björk
Oh oh as old as the sun,
Oh oh with white teeth,
Oh oh Regina, oh oh Regina,
Oh oh Regina, oh oh Regina.
Einar
Land on islands,
Meet Johnny,
Examine my red,
Basalt cluster,
Bottomless dust, terrific sun,
And wetting quite nicely thank you,
I do say nicely,
I do mean that,
Actually.
Björk
Blow into the chastity belt
Regina, Regina,
Oh oh Regina, oh oh Regina,
Einar
Hex and bitch and,
Deserves lobster and fame,
Oh, Johnny,
Teeth and gums,
In my life,
Moon and sun,
In my life,
Lobster and shrimp,
In my life,
I don't really like lobster ( like lobster ).
Björk
Regina is too old
But the sun is much older
Still the sun with white teeth
But Mrs R. with none
Sun with false teeth
Give me lobster and fame.
Einar
I really don't like lobster!
Björk
Oh oh Regina, oh oh Regina. X8

Gold, in the hand
Gold, you have to have

Gold is the sweat of the sun
Give me some gold!

Indication of gold

Give me some gold!

Torn fingers, bloody fingers..

There is a sun in the sky
Nothing has changed
And gold, garden of the sun..
Give me gold!
E> I'm still searching for gold
E> I need gold
And I have to have a chunk of.. gold
E> no indication of gold
Just a little piece of gold for me!
E> In the core of the earth
E> I see the glow, let it be gold
Gold
My blood flows in me
My red juice in my veins
My blood travels fast
My blood rushes through me
When I need you
My blood flows faster
My veins turn into molten mud
I'm turning in, turning in to
turning in to the ??????????
I was made long ago
My blood makes me remember
I was made out of mud
My red juice makes me remember
When I need you
My blood goes faster
My veins turn into molten mud
E> Half of me
E> I'm punctured
E> I'm leaking
E> The air is out
E> Blasted into space like
E> Burst balloons
E> I'm punctured
E> I'm leaking
E> Half of me
E> There's a hole on you too
E> Into you
E> Half of me
E> It's the beginning half of me
When I need you
My blood goes faster
My veins turn into molten mud
I'm turning in, turning in to
turning in to the ??????????
E> Half of me, half of me
E> Half of me,
E> I'm a jellyfish!
E> Burst balloon!
E> Half of me, half of me
E> Into space, into space
E> Burst balloon!
E> Half of me,
After watching this ???? lady
I noticed that she was a poor nurse
She knows exactly what people need
Without them having to tell her
She's a poor nurse
She knows what you hunger for
And feeds it to you
E> The Nurse was also my friend
E> She gave me friendship in abundance
E> Smothered me with hugs and kisses
E> I've got used to her injection
E> And they often send me stupid
E> It could become a habit
E> She gave me friendship in abundance
E> Smothered me with hugs and kisses
She invites me to a soft room
And hands me a piece of confidence
She injects me with a dose of warmth
It dawns upon me that humans are the only drug
She's a poor nurse
She knows what you hunger for
And feeds it to you
E> But then I bought myself a
E> Small rubber dingy when she told me
E> He who was up a mountain (??)
E> Because she wanted everyone
E> To give her
E> Love and affection
E> Her breast was
E> Great and soft
E> Incredibly great,
E> Great and soft
E> And could squirt
E> A long way!
E> A great distance...
She's a poor nurse
This careless woman
Don't hate her
She's a poor nurse
She knows what you
Hunger for
And feeds it to you
She's a poor nurse
This careless woman
Don't hate her
Einar
Last night, I woke up,
Björk
I'm a T.V.
Einar
Last night a good dream woke me up
Einar
I was entertained and smiled
Jumped straight out of my bed
Humming this and that
And got myself a glass of water
Björk
Transforming T.V.
Einar
And sat down in my favourite chair
And kept smiling but not for long
Björk
Transforming T.V.
Einar
Because I realised that all my dreams are
Nothing but the repetition
Of last week's television
Einar
I was no longer amused by, by my dream.
Björk
I'm on my knees
Einar
Like a lame turtle I paced the room
Björk
Down on all four follows
Einar
Who was disturb, I must without
Björk
Antennae
Einar
Knowledge I could only blame myself
And no one else
Björk
Thrust out through my forehead
Einar
Tried to sleep again,
He can, he can, no,
Not a dream, not again
But then remembered
That all my dreams are
Nothing but the repetition
Of last week's television.
Björk
I've turned into a T.V,
My screen is smiling,
To get your attention,
I want you.
Ohoh I'm a TV
Einar
So I jumped out of my bed
And into the T.V. room
And in my anger
Threw the T.V. set out the window
Regretted instantly
Because this was a brand new 26 inch T.V.
Set in my bed once again,
Couldn't sleep
Because all my life,
All my dreams had gone out the window
With this new T.V. set
Deus does not exit
But if he does, he lives up above me
In the fattest largest cloud up there
He's whiter than white and cleaner than clean
He wants to reach me
Deus does not exist
But if he does I always notice him
Getting ready in his airy room
He's picking his gloves so gently off
He wants to touch me
I?m walking humbly down a tiny street
Pulling my collar it gets bigger, ooh
I once met him
It really surprised me
He put me in a bath tub
Made me squeeky clean
Really clean
To create a universe
You must taste
The forbidden fruit
He said, "Hi", I said, "Hi
I was still clean
Deus does not exist
But if he does he'd want
To get down from that cloud
First marzipan fingers
Then marble hands
More silent than silence
And slower than slow
Diving towards me
My collar is huge room for two hands
They start at the chest and move slowly down
I thought I had seen everything
He wasn't white and fluffy
He just had side burns
He just had side burns and a quiff
But he said, "Hi", I said, "Hi"
I was still clean
I was squeeky clean
I was surprised
Just as you would be
Deus, Deus
Deus, Deus
Deus, Deus
He does not exist
Deus, Deus
He does not exist
Deus, Deus
He does not exist
A divorced lady arrives home from a bar
Guess, guess what she sees, sees there
There's a naked person in my flat
He's got a weird expression on his face
Oh, my God and Jesus as well
What are you doing here?
Are you hurting your chest?
Offending yourself?
Forcing yourself into pain and sorrow like there's no tomorrow
Should use the pain and sorrow
To fill you up with power
Life's both sweet and sour
He looks at me hopeless with tears in his eyes
Goes out of the window and up on the roof
Naked man, naked man, come down
I'll, I'll give you some strawberry cake
Don't act like there's no tomorrow
You should use the pain and the sorrow
To fill you up with power
Life's both sweet and sour
Life's both sweet and sour
Both sweet and sour
Both sweet and sour
Life's both sweet and sour
Don't act
Don't act
Don't act, act
Like there's no tomorrow
So you should use the pain and sorrow
To fill you up with power
Life's both sweet and sour
Don't act, don't act like there's no tomorrow
You should use the pain and sorrow
To fill you up with power
Life's both sweet and sour
Life's both sweet and sour
Life's both sweet and sour
Einar
Limousines, oranges,
Stars, moons,
Submarines, Jeeps,
Glaciers, Cars,
Caterpillars, even grapes
Björk
It's none of my business
But you have to eat
Your appetite is appalling
Einar
Eat eat eat the menu
Björk
Have, have, have some salad
Einar
Eat eat eat the menu
Björk
Bite, bite, bite an apple
Einar
Eat eat eat the menu
Björk
Suck, suck, suck an orange
Einar
Eat eat eat the menu
Björk
Taste, taste, taste the pate
Björk
I'm just a maid, but yes to food is yes to life
Einar
I've got to eat something
Otherwise I'll just die
But the choice is too great
I can't decide what to eat
I'll possibly just eat the menu?
Björk
How would you like strawberry juice?
Or lemon red sea perch?
Einar
Eat eat eat the menu
Björk
Bite, bite, bite the kiwi
Einar
Eat eat eat the menu
Björk
Have, have, have some chicken
Björk
I'm just a maid, but yes to food is yes to life
Einar
The waiter came with the menu
And said here you go.
I said thank you but
The choice is too great,
Why can't I be a cod
In the depths of the ocean
And just eat small fish
The cod has such simple taste
But I've got all the choice
Björk
Bite, bite, bite an apple
Einar
Eat eat eat the menu
Einar
Limousines, oranges,
Stars, moons,
Submarines, Jeeps,
Glaciers, Cars,
Even Caterpillars.
Björk
Oh, you vague costomer
You'll have to look somewhere else
You have to find something to eat
Einar
Eat eat eat the menu
Björk
No! eat eat, eat a moment
Einar
Eat eat eat the menu
Björk
Eat eat, eat the feeling
Einar
Eat eat eat the menu
Björk
Eat eat, eat the feeling,
Eat eat, eat the person,
Eat eat, eat the rockband
Einar
I won't complain but...
Einar
Straight into the air,
At lightning speed,
Fasten your seatbelts,
The future is mine.
Björk
I'm a future woman
In an irresistable world
Fast and sparkling
Speed is the key
Einar
Lizards at lightning speed
Surprise me all the time
Does no one respect space rules?
Björk
A big fresh meat slice
A streamlined solid steal knife in it
I must energize
Speed is the key
Einar
Lizards playing around
And I'm one of them
So I said: lizards
Of the world, unite!
Björk
I'm a spacegirl
Pass me that aeroplane
I've got to go now
Speed is the key
I'm a space woman
Shaped like a, a bullet
No barriers
Whosh!
There goes another second
Doubt kills
Speed is the key
Björk
A day called zero,
Is the day we'll all relax,
Mountains will tumble,
With a long and heavy thump,
Dust spreads on the sky,
So the sun will grow pale,
Oil tanks tear open,
And the city livens up.
Björk & Einar
A day called zero
Björk
A day called zero,
Will be such a busy day,
Whistling marches,
I'll hoover my past away,
Controlling a bulldozer,
I will improve my town,
Stacking concrete slabs,
Me and you my pluto.
Björk & Einar
A day called zero
Björk
Will you be with me on that day?,
We'll be watching and smiling,
At last it's over,
Nothing stops us now,
Come and enter,
Me let's multiply,
On a day called zero.
Björk & Einar
A day called zero X5
Hee how

One person calls someone
To pour the water
'Cause it takes two to pour the water
To plough takes two as well
But only one to hold up the sky
To plough takes two as well
But only one to hold up the sky
One plays the harp
Beats a rock with a stick
One plays the harp
Beats a rock with a stick
Becomes a priest at least, a delicious demon
Least a delicious demon
Hee how
Hee how
Hee how
Delicious demon
Delicious demon
Delicious demon
Delicious demon
Two men need one money
But one money needs no man
One is on ones knees, loses ones head
Except maybe a delicious demon, hee how
Two men need no money
But one money needs no man
One is on ones knees
Loses one head
Except maybe a delicious demon
Then one is no longer
Then one is no longer
No longer
Delicious demon

Delicious, oh, here he comes again
Delicious demon

The diesel is so nice
I just need something
The barometer is falling down, I feel so sultry
Something is simmering and boiling inside me
If I ignore it and squeeze out laughter
I charge up with a typhoon, hurricanes and storms
I just need the diesel, I just find the smell
I just sniff it and I can feel the harbor just close by
I just try to sniff the diesel but I can't, I just can't get enough
There's danger, danger
A tide with an undertow, the sea is swelling
Impatience makes me foam
A wave inside me forces out big words
They splash and sprinkle
An angry torrent breaking loose, a flush or rushing joy
The diesel, just makes me feel
It just fills my veins
I don't know why, it just does
The diesel is so
It shouldn't gush out
It just fills me up
Don't want it to be fussy
I can't have a cigarette
It shouldn't gush out
It just fills me up
If I have a cigarette
It would make me go boom
And I can't help it, I'm exploding again
I'm calling weather station Nomad
And satellite Nimbus
It's a blizzard inside me, a bomb ticking
This is the tidal wave
The diesel
Here comes the tidal wave, ho-ho
The diesel
This is the tidal wave
The diesel
Here comes the tidal wave.
Came from the east
Relative forgot
To scrape away
Land in south
Exhausted engine
No teeth
No chance to stop
Meet Johnny
Came from the east
Like the sun
But with tired engine
Regina otherwise magnificent
Regina in good bloom
As old as the sun
With white teeth
Land on islands
Meet Johnny
Examine my red
Basalt cluster
Bottomless dust, terrific sun
And wetting quite nicely thankyou
I do say nicely
I do mean that
Actually
Blow into the chastity belt
Regina, Regina,
Hex and bitch and
Deserves lobster and fame..
Oh, Johnny,
Teeth and gums
In my life
Moon and sun
In my life
Lobster and shrimp
In my life
I don't really like lobster
Regina is too old
But the sun is much older
Still the sun with white teeth
But Mrs R. with none
Sun with false teeth
Give me lobster and fame!
Björk

The universe it is so big,
I feel dizzy when I think about it,
My head swims I get giddy,
Still I realize that long ago,
It was so small I could have kept it,
Underneath my little skirt,
At least until the big bang happened,
Einar
Every man, every woman.
Björk
Sun planet the universe and me,
When I'm excited and have to wait,
My organs start to move, my lungs pump,
Cells flow faster on tracks inside me,
I demand to see myself from within,
Be a cell for a day.
Einar
Every man, every woman
Björk
Sun, planet, the universe and me
The universe and me...ooh...
The universe and me, am I a planet? woaah!
The universe and me... woah!!
co-o-ome, na-na-na-hee-ooh!
The planets and me we get along so well together
Gliding down imaginary rollercoaster-paths along the sky
I can do somersaults around Jupiter if I feel like it
Nothing can stop a planet
But a planet can stop anything at all
Einar
Every man, every woman
Björk
Sun planet the universe and me
The universe and me, the universe and me,
The universe and me, the universe and me.
