Fresh or FRESH may refer to:
Kool & the Gang are an American jazz, R&B, soul, and funk group, originally formed in 1964 as the Jazziacs based in Jersey City, New Jersey.
They went through several musical phases during the course of their recording career, starting out with a purist jazz sound, then becoming practitioners of R&B and funk, progressing to a smooth pop-funk ensemble, and in the post-millennium creating music with a modern, electro-pop sound.
They have sold over 70 million albums worldwide.
The group's main members over the years included brothers Robert Bell (known as "Kool") on bass and Ronald Bell on tenor saxophone, lead vocalist James "J.T." Taylor, George Brown on drums, Robert Mickens on trumpet, Dennis Thomas on alto saxophone, Claydes Charles Smith on guitar, and Rick Westfield on keyboards. The Bell brothers' father was an acquaintance of Thelonious Monk, and the brothers were friends with Leon Thomas.
In 1964 Robert formed an instrumental band called the Jazziacs with five high-school friends.[citation needed]They changed their name to "Kool & the Flames" in 1967, then "Kool & the Gang" in 1969 (to avoid confusion with James Brown's Famous Flames) and were signed by Gene Redd to his new record label De-Lite Records in 1969. They first hit the pop charts with the release of their debut eponymous album.

Bad Company are heralded as one of the finest drum & bass acts ever, having produced numerous genre-defining tracks. Undoubtedly their most renowned track is "The Nine", a track released in 1998 when Fresh was just 21 years old. "The Nine" was later voted the greatest drum & bass track of all time by readers of Knowledge Magazine
Resuming his solo career in 2002, Fresh founded Breakbeat Punk, which merged with Adam F's Kaos Recordings to become Breakbeat Kaos in 2003. In 2004 Dogs on Acid was given its own imprint.

Bora was born in Cologne but grew up in Mönchengladbach without a father; his mother supported the family as a postal worker. He began to rap at the age of 14, then dropped out of school after 10th grade and started work at a shoe shop.
Bora met there rapper Kool Savas, who became his mentor, aiding the release of his first LP on Royal Bunker, Jetzt kommen wir auf die Sachen.
After Bora's success, he and Savas fell out. Kool Savas blamed Bora's recklessness and arrogance in an interview, while he accused Savas and Optik Records of kicking him out to further their own success.
Bora left the label in 2002 and was later signed at Sony BMG, where he began production of his first solo album Ich bin jung und brauche das Geld released 2003. The titular song was released as single and was very successful: it reached 5th on the single charts.
In 2004 Bora and his girlfriend Sophie Hardaker produced and released the album L.O.V.E. (Life Of Valezka and Eko), concerning their relationship. The only single was "L.O.V.E.". This album was the relaxed, calm, and melodious, fitting better into the R&B genre than Hip Hop music.
