Haley Bonar @ DIY 360
We were excited to have Haley Bonar join us for DIY 360 with Kevin Bowe a few weeks ago.
Haley is credited as one of the midwest's most talented young alternative country performers and began her career touring and performing with Low. Haley has supported and performed with Andrew Bird, Mason Jennings, David Garza, Amos Lee, Gary Louris, Great Lake Swimmers, Dar Williams, One Eskimo, Low, The Dodos, Horsefeathers, Over The Rhine, Pieta Brown, Hayden, Charlie Parr, Mary Lou Lord, Richard Buckner, and Langhorne Slim. Members of her live band also perform with Bon Iver, Gayngs, Alpha Consumer and Andrew Bird.
Hear Haley talk with Kevin about touring, songwriting, and play a couple of her tunes.
DIY 360 is a recurring event at IPR hosted by Kevin Bowe. The goal is to introduce students to professionals in the field who have been successful, frequently by adapting to changes in the business where they make use of multiple skill sets. Guests share information about their careers, their philosophies about professionalism and their art. Guests often give advice to budding artists, entertainment business professionals, producers and engineers. DIY 360 is an opportunity for students to network with those working in the field and with each other as they work toward career success.
