The Interview is a 1998 Australian thriller film from writer-director Craig Monahan, and is the first of two films directed by Monahan. Almost the entire film takes place in a police interrogation room, with some short flashback sequences, and the cast consists primarily of three key actors—Hugo Weaving, Tony Martin, and Aaron Jeffery.
Eddie Rodney Fleming (Weaving) is a quiet, nervous man who recently lost his job and family. One morning, Eddie is seized from his apartment for unknown reasons by two men claiming to be cops. They take him to headquarters and question him about a stolen car. But as tempers rise and the truth is slowly unraveled, Eddie realizes there's more to this interview than meets the eye.
The film was the 1998 AFI winner for Best Film, for Best Original Screenplay (Craig Monahan, Gordon Davie) and for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role (Hugo Weaving).
An alternate ending of the film was featured on the DVD release. In this version, Eddie Rodney Fleming is seen hitchhiking along a desolate road. A car stops and Barry Walls (Caton) offers him a ride. Fleming accepts and they drive away, followed at a distance by Steele (Martin) on his motorcycle, no doubt intending to enforce some vigilante justice.
Seth Rogen (pronounced /ˈroʊɡɪn/; born April 15, 1982) is a Canadian stand-up comedian, actor, producer, screenwriter, and voice artist. Rogen began his career doing stand-up comedy during his teen years, winning the Vancouver Amateur Comedy Contest in 1998. While still living in his native Vancouver, he landed a small part in Freaks and Geeks. Shortly after Rogen moved to Los Angeles for his role, Freaks and Geeks was canceled after one season due to poor ratings. He then got a part on the equally short-lived Undeclared, which also hired him as a staff writer.
After landing a job as a staff writer on the final season of Da Ali G Show, for which Rogen and the other writers received an Emmy nomination, he was guided by film producer Judd Apatow toward a film career. Rogen was cast in a major supporting role and credited as a co-producer in Apatow's directorial debut, The 40-Year-Old Virgin. After Rogen received critical praise for that performance, Universal Pictures agreed to cast him as the lead in Apatow's directorial feature films Knocked Up and Funny People. Rogen and his comedy partner Evan Goldberg co-wrote the films Superbad, Pineapple Express, and The Green Hornet. Rogen has done voice work for the films Horton Hears a Who!, Kung Fu Panda, Monsters vs. Aliens, and Paul. He married fellow screenwriter Lauren Miller in October 2011.
James Edward Franco (born April 19, 1978) is an American actor. His first prominent role was a lead part on the short-lived cult hit television program Freaks and Geeks; he later achieved recognition for playing the titular character in the TV biographical film James Dean (2001), for which he was awarded a Golden Globe Award. He achieved international fame with his portrayals of Harry Osborn in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy.
Franco has won or been nominated for a number of awards. He has done both dramatic and comedic work in projects and has appeared in an eclectic range of films since the 2000s, ranging from period to contemporary pieces, and from major Hollywood productions to less publicized indie films, as well as fantasy films to biopics and soap operas. Other notable films include Pineapple Express, a 2008 stoner comedy that earned him his second Golden Globes nomination; the 2008 Harvey Milk-biopic Milk; and Danny Boyle's 2010 drama film 127 Hours, about real-life mountain climber Aron Ralston's struggle to free his hand from a boulder. His performance in 127 Hours earned him nominations for many high-profile awards, including the Academy Awards, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2011, he starred opposite Andy Serkis in Rupert Wyatt's successful science fiction film Rise of the Planet of the Apes, a reboot of the Planet of the Apes franchise. Since 2009, he has played a recurring role in the ABC daytime soap opera General Hospital.
Blake Austin Griffin (born March 16, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Griffin had a renowned high school career at Oklahoma Christian School, winning state titles each of his four years under his father, Tommy Griffin, who was the head coach. He played college basketball for the University of Oklahoma Sooners and was awarded numerous accolades in his second year including the Naismith College Player of the Year, Oscar Robertson Trophy and the John Wooden Award.
Griffin left college after two seasons to enter the 2009 NBA Draft where he was selected first overall by the Clippers. In his first season, he broke his left kneecap, which he injured during the final pre-season game, and underwent surgery missing the entire 2009–10 season. He made his NBA debut as a rookie the following season and was selected as an All-Star, won the 2011 NBA Slam Dunk Contest and was named the NBA Rookie of the Year. In 2011, Sports Illustrated ranked him as one of the NBA's 15 Greatest Rookies of All Time.
William "Bill" Maher, Jr. ( /ˈmɑːr/; born January 20, 1956) is an American stand-up comedian, television host, political commentator, author, and actor. Before his current role as the host of HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher, Maher hosted a similar late-night talk show called Politically Incorrect originally on Comedy Central and later on ABC.
Maher is known for his political satire and sociopolitical commentary, which targets a wide swath of topics including religion, politics, bureaucracies of many kinds, political correctness, the mass media, greed among people and persons in positions of high political and social power, and the lack of intellectual curiosity in the electorate. He supports the legalization of marijuana and same-sex marriage, and serves on the board of PETA. He is also a critic of religion and is an advisory board member of Project Reason, a foundation to promote scientific knowledge and secular values within society. In 2005, Maher ranked at number 38 on Comedy Central's 100 greatest stand-up comedians of all time. Bill Maher received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star on September 14, 2010.

Forever waiting for disaster,
What David calls servant and master,
Will you play it too?
As this displacement begs for water.
Swimming, bathing.
Drowning in sorrow.
Scream with me.
I crawl across this cracked expansion,
I'll be buried soon.
Beneath the sand with pure intentions.
Wanting something, someone to follow.
For a change, I'll refrain,
From hiding all of me from you.
(here's my lullaby.)
Pray for rain, lose your name.
And watch all your dreams fall through.
(hush now, don't you cry)
I swoon upon my knees come crashing,
Will you bury me?
Today, this small favour I am asking
Hold me, you may drop me tomorrow
For a change, I'll refrain,
From hiding all of me from you.
(here's my lullaby.)
Pray for rain, lose your name.
And watch all your dreams fall through.
(hush now)
For a change, I'll refrain,
From hiding all of me from you.
Pray for rain, lose your name.
And watch all your dreams fall through.
Here's my lullaby.
Hush now don't you cry.
Calm down.
Come down cold resides with me.
With me.
I flee to, I flee to decemberunderground.
As you exhale, I breathe in and sink into,
The water underground,
(Reporters) We are here to interview a lady known to you because of her ability as the glamorous, amorous lady they call...
(Butler) She's expecting you gentlemen, won't you please come in?
(Reporters) Now we don't mean Greta and we don't mean Bette or Loretta or the Song of Bernadetta. We mean the fabulous, fabulous lady they call...
(Butler) The other gentlemen are here. Please come in.
(Reporters) She's new; she's perfection; she's headlines; she's hot! And in advance the critics are all in accord - she's gonna win the next academy award. All her
(lyrics by Michael Sadler)
Good afternoon! May I introduce myself?
With a story to be told you may need help
I know you were a headline for some time
But now you're part of a motionless mime
Lights have dimmed and times have changed
And the world is watching a different stage
Don't you think it's time we had a younger face?
You can slip away with no disgrace
So tell me ...
How long should we wait around
Don't you understand, when you're down we're down?
The memory of a lasting fame
Is better fed on reruns, no shame
So tell me ...
There's one thing I must know
Tell me why you can't let go
There's one thing we must know
Tell me, why won't you let go?
How long do you think you'll last
Living with a continuous past
As you stare at us we say,
"You're looking less like me each day!"
And there's one thing I must know
Tell me why you can't let go
There's one thing we must know
Tell me, why won't you let go?
Tell me
You may notice certain things before you die.
Mail them to me should they cause
Your algebra to fail.
Cole and macey lost their eyes
On the finer points
[El Da Sensei]
My characteristics be mistic, you ask who is it
Doin it, with the next type of tecs running through it
The bullshit, I mean, rap style clean
While I lean my 6 foot frame, Tame's the other being
Seeing that niggas wack, time to take it back to basics
Like saucony sneakers or a pair of Asics
Don't hate this- analyst, hip hop activist
Battle tecnician who be on a mission now listen
[Tame One]
Tame One got more grip than gore tex
I'm comin through your set like CBS
Writing my name up in your projects
Who wanna test me when I'm sess-ted
Pushing the paragraph like it's a Lexus
I come off hot like Texas
My west disrtict predicts that I'm the shit
So I walk through the bricks and shoot the gif like it's a full fifth
I bring the ruckus filling dutches with dust
I spread love like Take 6 until the whole spliff bust
[El]
We wish to diminish MC frauds who need to check
Into a rap clinic, thinking that they all in it
My message to those is right down to the core
Kick your best MC and all his niggas through the door
3-point offense, defense level's high
Stamina a hundred, leave your team ass dry
[Tame]
It's still our nature to hate ya
Play you out like Las Vegas
Cause my crew's got more game than 16 Segas
With adaptors, battling wack rappers and actors for all their stacks
And keeping my family fucked up like the Jacksons
[El]
Yo, you couldn't find my dap if you tried to use a map
Or instructions, the number ones sold, guns be bustin so
Best to recognize, eyes is on the prize
Watching for spies who want a piece of the lyrical pie
[Tame]
Crews be flippin like they really wanna die
But when I ease up, they freeze and can't look me in the eye
I got folders on the jokers who talk trash
They never walk past, cause I be checkin for they're hall pass
Haul ass and let me shine like glass do
When I die make a statue, I get in you like a tattoo
I pay homage to all the bombers that I'm fly with
Enduring politics and getting paid off of some side shit
[El]
I push niggas back who lack skills to hold their own
Jackin other brothers' styles way that they can zone
Prone to dismantle your insides like Mickey Mantle
My form lasts long, like trick candles
You see the work of these rhyme experts
That hurt niggas in cyphers to make the other states liver
Survivors of the fittest light the graf then ASCAP
Sen-S-E-I peep the next paragraph
[Tame]
In all actu-al my style's wilder than a crack spot
I'm illin, using the putas you buildin as my backdrop
I paint a picture perfect with a thousand pencils
From the back of Continentals, Lincolns, drinkin, thinkin mental
You better look through your girl's tape collection
Cause this next subject might have a nigga second-guessing
I wanna do raps and get fat like Apache
So I can get nasty and dis a nigga like a taxi
[El]
My exquisite exhibit has facts in this specific
Most niggas boast how they represent and come with it
But whose the rudest boys, coolest with poise
Artifacts be stickin them with rhythm poise
Is on the biz, taylor skills like Liz
Tryin to save the culture, vultures wanna run the biz
You hear my voice more clear, intact
Peep the lyrics, trap my sectrets
Ill like the film called the Curor
Questions, answers, brothers payin dues
Buddy:
I knew they were meant to sing
But tonight they did more
Jake:
Did you hear that crowd?
They hollered so loud
I bet their throats are sore
Buddy:
This isn't a dream
Did you hear them scream
'Encore'
Buddy & Jake:
You're gonna be an overnight
Terry:
Overnight
Buddy, Jake, Terry:
You're gonna be an overnight sensation
Terry:
Magnificent!
Buddy:
Wonderful!
Violet:
I actually enjoyed myself
Buddy:
Oh Violet, I'm so happy to hear that
Daisy:
If we always get kisses
I'll try even harder
Terry:
Kisses are a tiny reward
Violet:
Not for us
Buddy:
Then get ready for another
Terry:
And another
Buddy:
And another
Buddy & Terry:
Here's to a wonderful show
The reporters enter to meet the twins...
Reporters:
Where can we meet this overnight sensation?
When can we talk to the stars?
We want the facts
Without exaggeration
This story will win us cigars
Certain bars
Await our visitation
To toast this overnight sensation
Terry:
Gentlemen - The Hilton sisters
Reporters:
We've got a million questions for you
Reporter:
Would you start by reminding us
Which one is who
Daisy:
I'm Daisy
Violet:
I'm Violet
Daisy & Violet:
We're Siamese twins
Violet:
I'm to your right
As you watch our show
Daisy:
She thinks she's always right
Not so
I'm Daisy
Violet:
I'm Violet
Daisy & Violet:
What else would you like to know?
Reporter:
Could you be separated?
Reporter:
Have doctors examined you?
Daisy:
In hundreds of ways
Violet:
From our earliest days
Daisy:
Some think we could be separated
Violet:
Some would love to try
Daisy & Violet:
Some think we would die
Reporter:
How do you sleep?
Daisy & Violet:
In a bed
Reporter:
But does one ever keep the other awake?
Daisy:
Well, it does take a bit of doing
Violet:
If one of us wants to roll over
Daisy & Violet:
But whose life is a bed of clovers
Terry:
Certainly not yours.
Reporter:
What about romance?
Reporter:
What about love?
Reporter:
What about those?
Violet:
Oh, those
I suppose it's bound to happen
Daisy:
Someday
Violet:
Some night
When the moon is just right
Daisy:
When the universe hums
Violet:
When the guy comes along
Who hears the singer more than the song
Daisy:
Someday
Violet:
Some night
Daisy & Violet:
Love will feel right
Daisy and Violet's thoughts leave the room for a moment...
Violet:
Buddy kissed me
He kissed me for the first time
Daisy:
I forced a kiss before the show
But not the kisses that followed
Violet:
The lips prove we're sharing
The warmth that I felt
The frost on my heart
Is beginning to melt
Daisy:
You can't minimize
The heat in your eyes
Your passion is not a surprise
They continue with the interview...
Reporter:
You're working with several men.
Reporter:
Like Terry.
Reporter:
That Foster kid.
Reporter:
The colored guy.
Reporter:
How close are all of you?
Reporter:
Very close?
Violet:
We wouldn't be here without their help
Daisy:
We share the applause with them
Reporter:
Anything else?
Reporter:
Your room?
Reporter:
Your bed?
Terry:
Not to pour cold water on your sick fantasizing,
But this is business.
There's no romance involved.
Buddy:
We'd never take advantage of these girls
Terry:
The suggestion is absurd.
I have a sweetheart at home
Reporter:
Not only there, so I've heard
Reporter:
So none of you have interest
In a double-header?
Jake:
No one talks to them that way!
Terry:
All right, Jake.
I'll handle this.
Daisy and Violet go back to their thoughts...
Violet:
I'm not really here
Nothing they're saying is catching my ear
And I'm virtually blind
No more room in my mind
He kissed me
Daisy:
One minute bliss
Because of his kiss
Then crippling doubt
When the truth comes out
All that I felt was a lie
Violet:
I felt love within you
Daisy:
How can we continue?
Violet:
The seeds we have planted will bloom
Daisy:
Enough of these questions
Violet:
I can't hear the questions
Daisy & Violet:
I can't keep my mind in the room
Back to the interview...
Reporter:
Don't you need a man?
Reporter:
Don't you want to get married?
Reporters:
Husbands?
Children?
Families?
Reporter:
Don't you feel like nuns?
Reporter:
Will you always be virgins?
Reporters:
Always spinsters?
Barren?
Violet:
Like any girls our age
We dream of getting married
A wedding
Daisy:
A husband
Violet:
A family to come home to
Reporters:
How would that work?
With your condition
Daisy:
Anything's possible
Violet:
When everything's right
Daisy:
I'm Daisy
Violet:
I'm Violet
Terry:
Goodnight
Buddy, Jake, Terry and the reporters leave Daisy and Violet alone
Violet:
Buddy kissed me
He kissed me for the first time
Daisy:
Didn't you hear what he said?
Violet:
There's only one thought
Running through my head
He kissed me
Daisy:
And then they both denied
Any thought of romance
Violet:
But he kissed me
Words can lie
But kisses don't
Daisy:
You can lie to yourself
I won't
No one could love a Siamese twin
Nobody wants us
No one ever has
No one ever will
Violet:
Why are you trying to kill my dream?
Daisy:
It's not a dream
It's a nightmare
Wake up
Look around you
We are freaks
Stuck together
And we'll always be alone
Violet:
But I want to wake up to what I'm dreaming of
Dreaming that some day
Some night
I could find love
Will I find love?
[DJ & (Regina) talking]
Yeah, yeah, yeah got a couple interviews to do today
(Yeah, uh we gotta interview with uh the Wild Cowboys, Sadat X)

(Are you ready sir?)
Yo, so let's go knock these down so we can be up outta here
(OK, I think I'll start)
She gon' start, how you doin' sweetie
[Regina Hall]
Sadat X (Yeah), speak to your fans
Tell us what's in your future and what's in your plans
[Sadat X]
I done made up some more shit that I'm sure will hit
It's been a long time comin' and I'm sure that I'm due
I'm tryin' to keep this thing milk, for those dressed in silk
And satisfy the fiends who be dressed in jeans
[Regina Hall]
Sadat X, would you say that you're the hardest working rapper?
Tell us some of the places you've been
[Sadat X]
Honey I've been around the world and to African shores
Piccadilly Square and to Tokyo stores
Heard the roars of the German applause and shook the floors
Then went to Denmark with my main man Spark
[Regina Hall]
Sadat X, what's this thing you started called the Cowboys?
[Sadat X]
These are just my Wild Boys, my man from the BX
Most of y'all call me Sadat but over there they call me DX
Bronx desperados shake ya up, make you a flunky
Put ya Jones in the back of you ya hip-hop monkey
[Regina Hall]
Can you explain the incident in the O.K. Corral
[Sadat X]
I was at the bar coolin' out, drinkin' the daiquiri
There's a mirror ahead so I see the kid in back of me
Frontin' over an old beef
Lookin' screwed and sucked teed
And for what
I'm just tryin' to live and get my cut
[Regina Hall]
Can I ask you all the question?
[Sadat X]
Honey I'll tell you no lies
[Regina Hall]
What make Sadat tick?
[Sadat X]
I'll tell ya but it's a surprise
[Regina Hall]
Can I ask you all the question?
[Sadat X]
Honey I'll tell you no lies
[Regina Hall]
What make Sadat tick?
[Sadat X]
Yo, a word from the wise
[Regina Hall (Sadat X)]
OK we're gonna move on to uh...(Yeah, yeah let's move on)
(I'm feelin', I'm feelin' good with this) Are you ready?
(Oh, no diggity) Part two of our interview leads to the music
What makes you choose it and do you abuse it?
[Sadat X]
I see moves ahead by three days, I have no Vettibeni
I have no Luciano, just a drum and a piano
There can't be no frontin' in these New York badlands
Where kids walk around with the mic in they hand
[Regina Hall]
OK Sadat, you got a little off the subject
Keep it on the music, concentrate on the beats
[Sadat X]
Hey, well war brought this over from the Brooklyn streets
Evil D said to me can I spree on it
It's my job to be on it
Every day and all times...
Whoever handlin' dimes and rhymes
You know how we do in the middle of the living room
Light up then boom then my hands will write a notebook
You can pick up my quote book at the nearest Barnes & Noble
Not conversated with pay but I'll still save the day
[Regina Hall]
Can I ask you all the question?
[Sadat X]
Honey I'll tell you no lies
[Regina Hall]
What make Sadat tick?
[Sadat X]
Yo, take this word from the wise
[Regina Hall]
OK Sadat X what's in the future for your people?
Next year can we expect Wild Cowboys the sequel?
[Sadat X]
Oh no doubt but now's the time I'm talkin' about
Cool Chuck, Tec and my man Shawn Bliggity
Also known as Black, we'll lead by example
On my butter there's a sample
Say word if I'm absurd
[Regina Hall]
Any parting words Sadat?
[Sadat X]
Just that I'll blow up the spot
And keep shit hot
And hit the bank before three
I'll take a check but cash is preferred
I'll leave ya mind slurred and blurred
Check it out
[Regina Hall]
Well that concludes our interview with the Wild Cowboys
Sadat X (Yeah) Shawn Bliggity (Yeah) Chuck and Tec (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Thank you early bird (Yeah) and uh Mark the Spark
And can I give a special thanks to uh to the Beatminers
Who collaborated on this project (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Thank you fellas (Yeah, yeah, yeah) Wild Cowboys
