Around six million Bolivians headed to the polls Sunday. The country's current leader Evo Morales is the favourite to win a new term in office as president of the South American country. Voting began at 8 a.m. local time (1200 GMT) and closed at 4 p.m. (2000 GMT). Morales, an indigenous and union leader, has been in office since 2005. Granado was formerly allied with Morales before breaking away in 2010. Since then, he has become an outspoken critic of Morales.
