Uttar Pradesh /ˌʌtər prəˈdɛʃ/, abbreviation U.P. ("Northern Province"; formerly: United Provinces), is a state located in the north western part of India. With a population of over 200 million people, it is India's most populous state, as well as the world's most populous sub-national entity. Were it a nation in its own right, Uttar Pradesh would be the world's fifth most populous country, ahead of Brazil (a country thirty-five times larger in territorial area than Uttar Pradesh). On 9 November 2000, the Himalayan portion of the state, comprising the Garhwal and Kumaon divisions and Haridwar district, was formed into a new state 'Uttaranchal', now called Uttarakhand, meaning the 'Northern Segment' state.
Uttar Pradesh is the second largest state-economy in India, with a GDP of $103.5 billion in 2009. The annual per capita GDP of the state was $1586 in 2009, on purchasing power parity basis. It contributed 8.34% to India's total GDP in the financial year 2010. Agriculture is a significant part of UP's economy. The state was India's sixth largest producer of fruits, and became the largest producer of vegetables in 2010. With an area of 93,933 sq mi (243,290 km2), Uttar Pradesh covers a large part of the highly fertile and densely populated upper Gangetic plain. It shares an international border with Nepal to the north. Other states along Uttar Pradesh's border include Uttarakhand, Haryana and Delhi to the north and northwest; Rajasthan on the west; Madhya Pradesh on the south; Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand on the south east; and Bihar on the east.
Akhilesh Yadav (born 1 July 1973) is an Indian politician and the youngest chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. First time he was elected to the Lok Sabha from Kannauj in a by-election of 2000. He retained his seat in the 2004 and 2009 general elections. Thus he has won the Lok Sabha elections three times since 2000. He spearheaded the campaign to bring the Samajwadi Party back to power in the U.P. Assembly election 2012.
Akhilesh Yadav was born to Mulayam Singh Yadav and his first wife Malti Devi on 1 July 1973 in the Saifai village of Etawah district. He took his primary education from St. Mary's School, Etawah. Thereafter he studied in Dholpur Military School, Dholpur at (Rajasthan. He got Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysore and later opted for a Masters in environmental engineering from the University of Sydney.

He introduced modern elements in Samajwadi party's campaigning style.[citation needed] In the 2012 general election he was able to provide the party with a new image.[citation needed] He extensively campaigned across the state holding cycle rallies and public meetings at various locations.[citation needed] His Rath Yatra conducted across the state was highly successful in bringing young voters and people from across all the communities into the Samajwadi party's fold.[citation needed] His personality was a key role in helping the Party towards a victory in U. P. Assembly Elections of 2012,[citation needed] with Samajwadi party winning 224 seats out of total 403.[citation needed] Thus Samajvadi Party being the single largest party formed the government.[citation needed]
Asaduddin Owaisi (born (1969-05-13)May 13, 1969 Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India) is a Barrister, Indian politician and President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen Since 2008. He is a Member of Parliament (MP) representing Hyderabad constituency in Lok Sabha Lower House of the Indian Parliament Since 2004.

Asaduddin Owaisi was Born in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, to Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi, an Indian politician and Member of Parliament from Hyderabad, for six consecutive terms until stepping down in 2004 in favour of his elder son. His education was from Hyderabad Public School and subsequently did his Intermediate (A' Levels) from St. Mary's Junior College, Hyderabad. He graduated with B.A. from Nizam College, Osmania University, then LL.B (London), and Barrister-at-Law (Lincolns Inn), England.
Son of late Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi, a dynamic leader in his heyday, Asaduddin Owaisi evinced interest in politics right from his student days. He is the president of All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimmen (AIMIM) and took up the party responsibilities after the death of his father in 2008, playing key role in the politics of Andhra Pradesh, through running All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen as strong as his father and maintaining strong hold in Hyderabad. The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen has had a successful run in and around Hyderabad under his leadership and strengthened it through attracting more youth into the party fold.
Amit Shah (born 1964) is a Indian politician and former Home minister from Gujarat, member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is currently under judicial bail as one of the accused for kidnapping and encounter killing by the State Police of Sohrabuddin Shaikh, an alleged terrorist with more than 60 criminal cases against him, his wife Kauserbi and their friend Tulsiram Prajapati. The Supreme Court has directed that while his bail is under challenge, he is not permitted to enter his home state of Gujarat where he may influence the investigations as he was the Home Minister during the encounter killing. There has been questions raised about this Supreme Court ruling and if it was part of a Political witch hunt
Shah's father, Anilchandra Shah was a wealthy businessman. Shah worked as a stockbroker for some time. During this period he joined the BJP and came close to L K Advani. He managed several of Advani's election campaigns from the Gandhinagar (Lok Sabha constituency). He was then appointed Chairman of The Gujarat State Finance Corporation Limited, the youngest person in this post. He was later appointed chairman of the Ahmedabad District Cooperative Bank.
