The news is out and the Rama IX Super Tower in Bangkok, Thailand once completed in 2019 will be the tallest structure in Southeast Asia and ASEAN. This was recently announced during a ground breaking press conference held in Bangkok in October 2014. The 320,000-sqm Rama IX Super Tower will measure 125 storeys tall at a height of 615 meters high and feature 90,000 sqm of office space and a 260-room luxury six-star hotel. Bhumibol Adulyadej
Bhumibol Adulyadej (Thai: ภูมิพลอดุลยเดช; rtgs: Phumiphon Adunyadet; pronounced [pʰūː.mí.pʰōn ʔà.dūn.já.dèːt]; see full title below; born 5 December 1927) is the King of Thailand. He is also known as Rama IX, as he is the ninth monarch of the Chakri Dynasty. Having reigned since 9 June 1946, he is the world's longest-serving current head of state and the longest-reigning monarch in Thai history, serving for 7009219872880000000♠69 years, 246 days.
In 1957, the military overthrew the government with allegations of lèse majesté, which is offence against the dignity of the monarch, punishable under Thai law, starting a new and long-lasting relationship between the monarch and military in governmental matters. Although Bhumibol did invite public criticism in a 2005 speech, the lèse majesté laws have not been revoked by the Thai parliament.
Forbes estimated Bhumibol's fortune—including property and investments managed by the Crown Property Bureau (CPB), a unique body that is neither private nor government-owned, to be US$30 billion in 2010, and he was the head of the magazine's list of the "world's richest royals" from 2008 to 2013. In May 2014, Bhumibol's wealth was once again listed as US$30 billion. Officially the assets managed by the CPB are owned by the crown as an institution, not Bhumibol Adulyadej as an individual.

Rama
Rama (/ˈrɑːmə/;Sanskrit: राम Rāma) is the seventh avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu, and a king of Ayodhya. Rama is also the protagonist of the Hindu epic Ramayana, which narrates his idealistic ideas and his greatness. Rama is one of the many popular figures and deities in Hinduism, specifically Vaishnavism and Vaishnava religious scriptures in South and Southeast Asia. Along with Krishna, Rama is considered to be one of the most important avatars of Vishnu. In a few Rama-centric sects, he is considered the Supreme Being, rather than an avatar.
Born as the eldest son of Kausalya and Dasharatha, king of Ayodhya, Rama is referred to within Hinduism as Maryada Purushottama, literally the Perfect Man or Lord of Self-Control or Lord of Virtue. His wife Sita is considered by Hindus to be an avatar of Lakshmi and the embodiment of perfect womanhood.
Ram and his brothers Lakshman, Bharat, Shatrughna were the chaturvyuha expansions of Vishnu (Vasudev, Sankarshan, Pradyumna, Aniruddha). Rama's life and journey is one of adherence to dharma despite harsh tests and obstacles and many pains of life and time. For the sake of his father's honour, Rama abandons his claim to Ayodhaya's throne to serve an exile of fourteen years in the forest. His wife Sita and brother Lakshmana decide to join him, and all three spend the fourteen years in exile together. While in exile, Sita is kidnapped by Ravana, the Rakshasa monarch of Lanka. After a long and arduous search, Rama fights a colossal war against Ravana's armies. In a war of powerful and magical beings, greatly destructive weaponry and battles, Rama slays Ravana in battle and liberates his wife. Having completed his exile, Rama returns to be crowned king in Ayodhya and eventually becomes emperor, rules with happiness, peace, duty, prosperity and justice—a period known as Ram Rajya.

Thailand's ailing king spoke on for the first time since his country's political chaos began, but failed to directly address the sometimes violent crisis that has paralysed Bangkok. Many in the country had seen the revered monarch as the best hope for peacefully resolving the standoff. President Obama meets King Bhumibol of Thailand
BANGKOK - (Nov18) His Majesty the King granted an audience to United States President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and US Ambassador Kristie Kenney on Sunday afternoon at Siriraj Hospital. After arriving at Bangkok's Don Mueang airport just after 3pm, Mr Obama met a group of Thai officials, including His Majesty the King's representative Gen Surayud Chulanond. The re-elected president and his entourage then met 600 members of the US embassy staff and later visited Wat Pho, a temple renowned for its giant reclining Buddha statue. He was then granted an audience with His Majesty, followed by an official dinner hosted by Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra at Government House.

His vague comments could be seen as a possible reference to accusations that the government has failed to keep order when faced with the militant protesters who have taken over part of central Bangkok.
The King's lack of clear statement, however, signalled he was not prepared to take an active role in resolving the crisis, as he did in 1973 when he stopped bloodshed during a student uprising and again in 1992 during anti-military street protests.
The U.S.-born Bhumibol, the world's longest reigning monarch, has been hospitalised since the 19th of September 2009, when he was admitted with fatigue and loss of appetite.
The palace has said he is recovering from a lung inflammation, but not explained why he has been hospitalised for so long.
Meanwhile, pro and anti government protesters have been rallying on the streets of Bangkok.
At least 26 people have been killed and nearly 1,000 wounded since protesters, called Red Shirts, began occupying parts of the capital, closing down five-star hotels and shopping malls and devastating the country's vital tourism industry.
They believe that Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva's government is illegitimate and that he should stand down and dissolve parliament.

The model stands on the table in front of him. Says this is the first time a reigning monarch of Thai has come to this country on a state visit. CU. Queen Sirikit listening. CU. King Bhumibol. CU. Lord Mayor goes onto thank the country of of Thai for Their hospitality towards two organisations S.E.A.T.O. and U.N.E.C.A.F.E. Various shots the Lord Mayor continues speaking, then asks the assembly to join him in a toast to the King and Queen of Thailand, they all stand. LS. MS. as King and Queen of Thailand rise to the applause of the assembly and the Lord Mayor. King of Thailand replying: thanks the Lord Mayor for the warm welcome they have received, and that the present of the royal barge model is just a small token of their appreciation for the kindness they have received in the City of London.
