Plot
THE SYSTEM is a metaphorical comedy adventure inside a human body after a cocaine binge. When a neuron discovers that his company, Cerebellum, is destroying data to cover up the details of a 'black out,' he must travel to the Right Hemisphere and beyond to find out the truth about what's happening in the System. With a red blood cell as his ally, he must save the System before the heart workers in Circulation City go on strike and cut off the oxygen supply to the brain. This experimental feature plays with B-movie traditions and humor to create an atmospheric and unusual world that gets to the heart (literally) of what it means to be a part of a global society in need of change.
(verse)
here he lies deceiver
with the whole world in his hands
kill two birds with one stone
it's a half-ass trip
or am i standing still?
(chorus)
you don't need to bother me
with your electromagnetic guilt
(and)you don't need to bother me
He is all around
(verse)
what circumstances come to
the cell of burning fields
(oh)what circumstances come to
the hell of burning dreams
or am i standing still?
(chorus)
you don't need to slaughter me
with your sifting streamline guilt
(and)you don't need to slaughter me
I want to flee
A pause from the dim
Where are the thought that I saved?
Trapped in an old silent film
They runned the usual tests
Tiny, tiny veins
Yet flow so constant and strong
I saw my life in red
They'll never forget
These cells of mine
How can they forgive
That I figured the code they carried
I want to flee
A pause from the dim
He gave me a stone
Pray for his highness
'Cause he is possessed in the dark
He was the one who
Created me cursed and obscene
Shall I triumph?
Shall I ever arise?
From the earth
Darkness yearning for light bright
Shall you grant me the gift to live free in my cell?
Live free in my cell
Six, Six, Six
Creatures of wisdom invading my mind
Shall I triumph?
Shall I ever arise from my cell?
From my cell!
From my cell!
now anytime that we meet
you will feel the space i left when the hammer came down on me
and you were right, i make believe
i'm in the perfect situation to get off with what i need
i gotta go
i got my hand in the air and i'm motioning
i'm the machine, part for part an investment
(should something happen to you, i disappear)
i'm the machine, call me out, i'm a traitor, i'm an inside man
so here we go, my machinery
there is a never ending world that hasn't seen what i could be
so resistant to history
i'm in the perfect situation to get off with what i need
i gotta go
i got my hand in the air and i'm motioning
Cold and alone
I am waiting again
For the doors
To open for me
Here in my cell
I am waiting again
For another lost hour
Or a wasted day
All I ever needed
Is so far away
But I am waiting
Just one more day
If I can make it
Just one more day
Standing
By the window
I am watching
The same thing
Waiting
On this payphone
For an answer
That won't come
