In this screencast tutorial I cover how to prepare your Mac for an upgrade to OS X Mavericks (10.9). With Apple set to release Mavericks in the coming week or two I thought I would go over some of the things you can do to prepare for the update including making sure you Mac Hardware qualifies, checking your software, checking your drive and permissions, and making a bootable back up of your main hard drive in case your upgrade doesn't go well. I will be doing a series on Mavericks Server when it comes out and this tutorial should set you up for that upgrade as well. As always thanks for watching.
