Marshawn Lynch actually says something before Super Bowl XLIX

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has broken his media boycott. Sort of. Lynch arrived at the final media session of the week for players Thursday and gave a nearly two-minute statement in which he lectured reporters. It was, by far, the most revealing and honest public moment Lynch has shared in the Seahawks' past two Super Bowl appearances. "I don't know what kind of story y'all are trying to get out of me. I don't know what kind of image y'all are trying to portray of me. But it don't matter what y'all think, what y'all say about me, cause when I go home at night, they same people that I look in the face, my family, that I love, that's all I really matters to me." Lynch paused to chuckle before continuing. "So you all can go and make up whatever you want to make up, cause I don't say enough for you all to go put anything out on me," he added. "But I'll come to y'all event and y'all shove cameras and microphones down my throat. When I'm at home in my environment, I don't see y'all. But y'all mad at me. If y'all ain't mad at me, then what are you all here for?" Like he did at his two previous media sessions this week, Lynch started a timer on his cell phone for five minutes. He referenced the countdown several times Thursday as he was peppered with a range of questions, requests for "shout outs" — "Shout out to Oakland," Lynch said — and a request to say something in Spanish. "Hola," he said. Lynch was asked again about his decision to wear a hat that bears his "Beast Mode" logo, an unlicensed product that could lead to a fine by the NFL after the Super Bowl. He just adjusted the hat on his head to better display it. Asked where fans could purchase the gear, Lynch promoted his personal website. "I ain't got nothing for y'all though. I told you all that," he said again. "You all should know that. But you all will sit here, like right now, continuing to do the same thing. I'm here preparing for a game, and y'all want to ask me all these questions, which is understandable. I can get down with that. But I told y'all, I'm not about to say nothing. "So for the remainder of my three minutes, because I'm here, I'm available for you. I'm here available for y'all. I done talked. All of my requirements are fulfilled. So now for the next three minutes, I'll just be looking at y'all, the way you're looking at me. Thank you." When the five minutes were up, Lynch walked away, with a trail of television cameras following him.

2015 Super Bowl Movie Trailers Lineup Subscribe Now! ► http://bit.ly/SubClevverMovies Hot Tub Time Machine 2 Super Bowl Spot ► http://bit.ly/1Lmmumm We’re only days away from watching the New England Patriots battle the Seattle Seahawks at this year’s Super Bowl, but the biggest question mark is which movies the studios will be forking over big bucks to promote. Well, we’ve got the answers! Let’s admit it, a lot of us only watch the Super Bowl to see which rock stars will be rolled out during the half-time show and of course the commercials and more importantly the movie trailers. Trailers have become a staple of the annual event and this year should be no exception as Hollywood is set to promote some of their biggest titles and in some cases give us our first official look. With the Big Game set to air on NBC this year, parent company Universal undoubtedly has the biggest line-up of movie spots and one of those will be for one of the most anticipated movies of the summer, Jurassic World. We’ll also be getting another look at this April’s Fast & Furious sequel, Furious 7. That 30-second spot will most likely tease a new 2 minute and 26 second trailer that was recently classified. Also from Universal will be our first look at this summer’s Ted sequel starring Mark Wahlberg. That spot will reportedly feature Patriots quarterback Tom Brady as a sperm donor as the film will focus on Ted wanting to become a father. We’re not sure exactly how Tom Brady fits into that, but we’re looking forward to finding out. Like Furious 7, expect that spot to direct viewers to a longer trailer. The last Universal spots getting some love at this year’s Super Bowl will be the Despicable Me spinoff Minions, which we got a look at earlier this week and the long delayed fantasy film Seventh Son starring Oscar nominee Julianne Moore, Jeff Bridges and Ben Barnes. Marvel and Star Wars fans will probably be a little disappointed with Walt Disney’s Super Bowl plans as we won’t be getting any spots from Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man or The Force Awakens. Instead, the Mouse House will be pushing their George Clooney sci-fi film Tomorrowland. The studio recently released a 10 second preview of the 30 second spot, so we already know what a third of it will look like. Paramount will be airing two spots on Sunday. The first will be from next week’s release The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. That spot is set to air just before kick-off while a new Terminator: Genisys spot will air during the second quarter. The studio also made a Super Bowl themed spot for their upcoming comedy Hot Tub Time Machine 2, but as it poked fun at the recent “DeflateGate” it was banned from the broadcast, but you can find a link to that trailer in the description. Lionsgate will air a final trailer for their March 20th release The Divergent Series: Insurgent during NBC’s pregame show, but if you can’t wait, it will debut early on MTV. And finally, despite giving us our first look at the Fantastic Four reboot earlier in the week, 20th Century Fox will be spending their Super Bowl dollars on an ad for their upcoming action comedy Kingsman: The Secret Service for one last push before it’s set to open on February 13th. So yes, despite a recent rumor that we would be getting our first look at next year’s highly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer for that as Warner Brothers has decided to skip the Bowl once again this year as will Sony Pictures. On Wednesday, the country’s aviation regulator singled out drones in a fact sheet about Super Bowl–related aircraft activity, saying the popular consumer devices can’t be flown within a 30-mile radius of the stadium. NFL players and coaches are allowed no other tablets or smartphones on the sidelines. (Recently, the Cleveland Browns were accused of breaking that rule with texts from the press box to the field). In the coaches' booth, no computers are allowed. Aside from the Microsoft tablets, Vince Lombardi could time-travel to coach the Patriots or Seahawks on Sunday and not find himself at a terrible technological disadvantage. What is going on? In an era where pro athletes tweet constantly, why are the sidelines so old-school? "I don't know," Brian Burke, founder of Advanced NFL Stats, told NBC News. "I think there is something to be said for making it a contest of coaching intuition and skill, and not letting it become dictated by computers." To be clear, Burke supports teams having access to real-time stats during games. GoDaddy’s Super Bowl XLIX 2015 Commercial Mocks Budweiser’s Puppy Dog Sentimental Ad GoDaddy Pulls Puppy Super Bowl Ad GoDaddy was going for warm and fuzzy, with a twist, this Super Bowl Sunday. But then animal rights groups got involved. In GoDaddy's ad, which debuted Tuesday and has since been removed from the internet, Buddy, the golden retriever pup, gets bounced out of his owner's pickup truck and must make the voyage home. He gets there, only to be told that he has already been sold on the internet, with a site made from - you guessed it - GoDaddy.com. Dog lovers did not love the ad. "Whether or not this was meant to be satirical, it's offensive. Essentially, GoDaddy is encouraging private breeding/puppy mills while shelter animals wait patiently for their forever homes or worse -- to be euthanized," wrote activist Helena Yurcho, who created a petition to have the ad removed on Change.org. That petition received more than 42,000 supporters in just hours so that, by Tuesday night, GoDaddy had taken down the Super Bowl spot. "We hoped our ad would increase awareness of that cause," wrote GoDaddy CEO Blake Irving in a blog post. "However, we underestimated the emotional response. And we heard that loud and clear." PETA was pumped. "Go Daddy's now-yanked commercial showed that anyone who sells a dog online is a callous jerk. PETA liked that about the ad," said PETA Director Colleen O'Brien in a statement. "The sale of animals online and from pet stores and breeders should be roundly condemned, and it was today." Whether you’re a football fan or not, you can’t help but love the Budweiser Super Bowl commercials. But unfortunately, they’ve become a target for a GODaddy ad this year. Take our warning now, don’t get too attached to the sweet puppy in their ad. It looks like GoDaddy is taking a less sexual route this year with their Super Bowl ads and are going soft — or so they want you to think. The company is finding humor in toying with our emotions, along with poking fun at the use of adorable puppies in the Budweiser spots. GoDaddy Mocks Budweiser’s Adorable Super Bowl Commercial GoDaddy’s ad starts out with a painfully adorable puppy, Buddy, bouncing out of the bed of a truck. He tries to run after the vehicle, but fails and winds up trying to find his way back to the farm. He runs down a dirt roads, highways and across train tracks in order to get back to his family. At one point the poor little pup is seen shivering in the cold rain. But then he happily finds his way home, just in time to be SOLD! Not quite the happy ending we were expecting, but then again GoDaddy is known for their humorous Super Bowl spots. Nothing is off limits when it comes to GoDaddy Super Bowl Commercials. We've seen scantily clad women, a very gross kiss between a supermodel and a chubby guy, but now GoDaddy is taking on the biggest challenge yet: puppies! It's supposed to be a funny take on those Budweiser commercials featuring a dog and the Clydesdale horses. In the ad, a puppy falls out of the back of a truck but manages to make it home to his owners. But just when you think you're about to get to the "awwww" moment, GoDaddy has a twist. "I'm so glad you made it home… because I just sold you on this website I built with GoDaddy.com," his owner said in the commercial. The puppy is then put in a van and taken away. Some say it's funny, others say it makes fun of puppy mills, something that's not a laughing matter. An online petition to remove the ad had more than 40,000 signatures by Tuesday evening. OK, fine, like the BIGGEST football game of the year aka, the Super Bowl, then hang tight because we’re giving you a replay of some of the best moments from her press conference, where she promises to not disappoint… but, I mean, does she ever? Ok, so usually press conferences are supposed to be serious business, but leave it to KP to add some pizzazz to the event… starting with her outfit! She strutted onto the stage donning a long-sleeved sweater and pleated skirt combo covered in footballs and football lacing patterns with matching football accessories, including earrings and a necklace. Check it out: She even took to Instagram to show off her painted piggies, saying, “Even my tippy toes are ready!” And while we’re on the topic of outfits, no Katy Perry concert would ever be complete without a plethora of crazy outfit changes, right? Though the Super Bowl itself is not shown, as this was produced the week prior to the big game, the Broncos won the championship that year over the Green Bay Packers. Again, I have no idea when, where, or even IF this ever aired on television, but if it did, it had to have been during the week leading up to the Super Bowl. It may have aired on NBC hours before kickoff that day, but I have no data to support this. Opinion: For an NFL Films production, this is very, very shoddy. There are numerous editing errors, way too many damn visual puns, and even Earl Mann's narration was irritatingly slow. In fact, in one sequence, they show Kordell Stewart making a touchdown run, where they cut to a shot of Kordell from the previous year (as evident by the numbering on his jersey) running down the sideline, then cut back to a shot of Kordell in the Steelers' current jersey running down the middle of the field. Definitely not NFL Films' best work.

After the first three drives of the game ended with punts, Green Bay opened up the scoring with Aaron Rodgers' 29-yard touchdown pass to Jordy Nelson, who managed to pull slightly ahead of cornerback William Gay enough to make a leaping catch and fall into the end zone. Then on the first play after the ensuing kickoff, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was hit by Howard Green as he threw a pass, causing the ball to go well short of his intended target near the left sideline where it was intercepted by Nick Collins and returned 37 yards for a touchdown, giving Green Bay a 14–0 lead. This score continued the streak of Super Bowl victories recorded by teams scoring on an interception runback. They are now 11–0 in such games. It was also the third consecutive Super Bowl with an interception return for a touchdown, as well as the eighth such score in the last ten Super Bowls

Though the Super Bowl itself is not shown, as this was produced the week prior to the big game, the Dallas Cowboys won the championship that year over the Pittsburgh Steelers. This came off of a Super Bowl XXI-XXIX DVD collection I own. According to a Chicago Tribune article I found, it was aired in syndication on the Saturday before the big game. Once again, because of music licensing issues, the film was re-edited years after its original release. The original film included music from Judge Dredd and, of all things, Balto. No, seriously. For reasons unknown to me, the narration was also changed. Originally, James Coburn was the voiceover for the film, but for the DVD version you see here, his narration was replaced by that of former Phillies radio announcer Scott Graham.

This came off of a Super Bowl XXXI-XL DVD collection I own. It most likely aired on CBS hours before the Super Bowl was played. For this film and each edition of Road to the Super Bowl until XL (except for XXXVIII, for some reason), Jim Birdsall, who may also be known for his work at CNBC, takes over narration duties from Earl Mann. While I like most of Mann's work, I personally love Birdsall's narration, almost as much as that of Facenda and Kalas.
