Vanilla Fudge is an American rock band. The band's original lineup – vocalist/organist Mark Stein, bassist/vocalist Tim Bogert, lead guitarist/vocalist Vince Martell, and drummer/vocalist Carmine Appice – recorded five albums during the years 1966–69, before disbanding in 1970. The band has reunited in various configurations over the years, and is currently operating with three of its four original members. The band has been cited as "one of the few American links between psychedelia and what soon became heavy metal".
Stein and Bogert played in a local band called Rick Martin & The Showmen and were so impressed by the sound of The Rascals (swinging and floods of organ) that they decided to form their own band with Martell and Rick Martin's drummer, Joey Brennan. Originally calling themselves The Pigeons, they changed the name to Vanilla Fudge in 1966, after the replacement of Brennan by Appice. A recording of the Pigeons was released in Germany in 1973 under the title of 'While the World was Eating Vanilla Fudge'. The group was then "discovered" and managed by reputed Lucchese crime family member Phillip Basile, who operated several popular clubs in New York. An emerging band called Led Zeppelin was the opening act on their American tour.
James Thomas "Jimmy" Fallon, Jr. (born September 19, 1974) is an American actor, comedian, singer, musician and television host. He currently hosts Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, a late-night talk show that airs Monday through Friday on NBC. Prior to that he appeared in several films, and was best known as a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1998–2004.
James Thomas Fallon, Jr., was born in Brooklyn, New York. Jimmy is the son of Gloria and James Fallon, Sr., who is a Vietnam War veteran. His family later settled in Saugerties, New York, while his father worked at IBM in nearby Kingston, New York. He is of Irish descent. As a child, he and his older sister, Gloria, would reenact the “clean parts” of Saturday Night Live that his parents had taped for him. Fallon was such a fan of Saturday Night Live that he made a weekly event of watching it in his dormitory during college. In his teens, he impressed his parents with different impersonations, the first being of James Cagney. He was also musically inclined, and started playing guitar at age 13. He would go on to mix comedy and music in contests and shows.
Ray Anthony (born January 20, 1922) is an American bandleader, trumpeter, songwriter and actor.
As a child Anthony, born Raymond Antonini in Bentleyville, Pennsylvania, moved with his family to Cleveland, Ohio, where he studied the trumpet with his father. He played in Glenn Miller's band from 1940–1941 and appeared in the Glenn Miller movie Sun Valley Serenade in 1941 before joining the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war he formed his own group. The Ray Anthony Orchestra became very popular in the early 1950s, with recordings that included Anthony's classic dance songs "The Bunny Hop" and the "Hokey Pokey," as well as the theme music from Dragnet. He had a #2 chart hit with a remake of the Glenn Miller tune, "At Last" in 1952.
From 1953-1954 Anthony was the musical director on the television series TV's Top Tunes, and he also appeared as himself in the 1955 film Daddy Long Legs. In 1955 Anthony married his second wife, the sex symbol actress Mamie Van Doren. Their son Perry Ray was born March 18, 1956. He then began expanding his own acting career. He starred in a short-lived television 1956-1957 variety show, The Ray Anthony Show. Anthony also appeared in several films during the late 1950s, including The Five Pennies (where he portrayed Jimmy Dorsey), and Van Doren's movies High School Confidential as "Bix" and Girls Town. In the 1959-1960 television season, he guest starred in the episode "Operation Ramrod" of David Hedison's espionage series Five Fingers on NBC.
Set me free
Why don't you babe?
Get off my life
Why don't you babe?
You really don't want me
You just keep me hangin' on
You really don't need me
You just keep me hangin' on
Why do you keep comin' around
Playing with my heart?
Why don't you get out of my life
When seeing you only breaks my heart again?
And there ain't nothing
I can do about it
You know I need love
(Set me free, why don't you babe?)
Talkin 'bout love
(Get off my life, why don't you babe?)
You really don't want me
You just keep me hangin' on
Get off my life
Why don't you babe?
Get off my life
She said, "I think I'm gonna be sad, I think it's today, yeah"
The girl that's driving me mad is going away, she is
She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
She don't care
She says that living with me is bringing her down, yeah
She would never be free when I was around, she ain't
She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
She don't care
Don't know why she's riding so high
Ought think twice, ought to do right by me baby
Before she gets to saying goodbye
Ought think twice, she ought to do right by me, yeah
She said ?I'm gonna be sad, I think it's today, yeah?
The girl that's driving me mad she's going away, oh
She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
She don't care
Don't know why she's riding so high
She gotta think twice, she ought do right by me when she gets home
Before she gets to saying goodbye
She ought think twice, she ought do right by me
She say-a that living with me has brought her down, yeah
She said, she would never be free when I was here around, hey hey
She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
She don't care
My baby don't care
My baby don't care
My baby don't care
When I look outside my window
What do I see?
And when I look outside my window
So many different people to be, yeah
That it's strange, so strange
You've got to pick up every stitch
Two rabbits running in a ditch
The hippies out to make it rich
Oh no
Must be the season of the witch
Must be the season of the witch
Must be the season of the witch
Must be the season of the witch
Well, when I look over my shoulder
What do I see?
And when I look over my shoulder
Some ancient fellow I'm longing to be
It's so strange, so strange
You've got to pick up every stitch
Two rabbits running in the ditch
The hippies out to make it rich
Oh no
Must be the season of the witch
Must be the season of the witch
Must be the season of the witch
Must be the season of the witch
And here we sit immersed in a liquid sea of love
Shimmering rainbows in silver sky above
A looking glass that reflects our past
Tied with seaweed all around like willows
Upside down, you caress my heart
Caress my soul, surround my limbs
You laugh your laugh and hold my body fast
And we wake up and sit here thinking
Thinking about the times we used to have
And know they're gone forever
We'll never learn, never learn
?Help me?
?Somebody help him?
As I look over my shoulder
What do I see?
And as I look over my shoulder
There's so many pretty sights to see
That it's strange, so strange
You've got to pick up every stitch
You've got to pick up every stitch
Those hippies out to make it rich
Oh no
Must be the season of the witch
Must be the season of the witch
Season of the witch
Please have mercy on my soul
No, no, must be the season of the witch
[Incomprehensible]
God, God, hey
If you can't help us you better listen, please

Do the jerk, baby
Do the jerk, now
Put on your red dress
And then you go Downtown
I said buy yourself a shotgun now
We're gonna break it down baby now
We're gonna load it up baby now
And then you shoot him for he runs now
I said, "Shotgun, shoot 'em for he runs now"
Do the jerk, baby
Do the jerk, now
Shotgun shoot 'em for he runs now
Do the jerk, baby
Do the jerk, now
Hey!
Put on your high heels shoes
I said we're goin' down here listen to 'em play blues
We're gonna dig potatoes

I said, "Shotgun, shoot 'em for he runs now"
Do the jerk, baby

I said, it's twine time
I said, it's twine time
I said, it's twine time

Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Eleanor Rigby, picks up the rice
In the church where a wedding has been
Lives in a dream
Waits at the window, wearing the face
That she keeps in a jar by the door
Who is it for?
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
Father McKenzie, writing the words
of a sermon that no one will hear
No one comes near
Look at him working, darning his socks
In the night when there's nobody there
What does he care?
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Eleanor Rigby, died in the church
And was buried along with her name
Nobody came
Father McKenzie, wiping the dirt
From his hands as he walks from the grave
No one was saved
All the lonely people
(Ah, look at all the lonely people)
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
(Ah, look at all the lonely people)
Bang bang, you shot me down
Bang bang, I hit the ground
Bang bang that awful sound
Bang bang, my baby shot me down
I was five and you were six
We rode on horses made of sticks
I wore black, you wore white
You would always win the fight
Bang bang, you shot me down
Bang bang, I hit the ground
Bang bang that awful sound
Bang bang, my baby shot me down
Seasons came and changed the time
I grew up, I called you mine
You would always laugh and say
"Remember when we used to play"
Bang bang, you shot me down
Bang bang, and I hit the ground
Bang bang that awful sound
Bang bang, my baby shot me down
Music played and people sang
Just for me the Church bells rang
After echoes from a gun
We both vowed that we'd be one
Bang bang
Bang bang
Bang bang
Now when you're gone I don't know why
Sometimes I cry
You didn't say, "Goodbye"
Didn't take the time to lie
Bang bang, you shot me down
Bang bang and I hit the ground
Bang bang that awful sound
Bang bang, baby my baby shot me down
Bang bang
een Dazed and Confused for so long it's not true.
Wanted a woman, never bargained for you.
Lots of people talk and few of them know,
soul of a woman was created below.
You hurt and abuse tellin' all of your lies.
Run around sweet baby, Lord how they hypnotize.
Sweet little baby, I don't know where you've been.
Gonna love you baby, here I come again.
Every day I work so hard, bringin' home my hard earned pay
Try to love you baby, but you push me away.
Don't know where you're goin', only know just where you've been,
Sweet little baby, I want you again.
Been dazed and confused for so long, it's not true.
Wanted a woman, never bargained for you.
Take it easy baby, let them say what they will.
Set me free, why don't you babe
Get out'my life, why don't you babe
You really don't want me
You just keep me hangin' on
You really don't need me
You just keep me hangin' on
Why do you keep coming around
Playing with my heart
Why don't you get out of my life
And let me try to make a new start
Let me get over you
The way you've gotten over me
Set me free, why don't you babe
Get out'my life, why don't you, now
You really don't want me
You just keep me hangin' on
You really don't need me
You just keep me hangin' on
You said when we broke up
You just wanna be friends
But how can we still be friends
When seeing you only breaks my heart again
And there ain't nothing I can do about it
You know I really love
(Set me free, why don't you babe)
Talkin' 'bout love
(Get out'my life, why don't you babe)
You really don't want me
You just keep me hangin' on
You really don't need me
You just keep me hangin' on
Get out'my life, why don't you babe
Get out'my life, why don't you babe
Get out'my life, why don't you babe
she sits alone waiting for suggestions
he's so nervous avoiding all the questions
his lips are dry, her heart is gently pounding
don't you just know exactly what they're thinking
if you want my body
and you think i'm sexy
come on sugar let me know
if you really need me
just reach out and touch me
come on honey tell me so
tell me so baby
he's acting shy looking for an answer
come on honey let's spend the night together
now hold on a minute before we go much further
give me a dime so i can phone my mother
they catch a cab to his high rise apartment
at last he can tell her
exactly what his heart meant
if you want my body
and you think i'm sexy
come on honey tell me so
if you really need me
just reach out and touch me
come on sugar let me know
his heart's beating like a drum
'cos at last he's got this girl home
relax baby now we are alone
they wake at dawn 'cuz all
the birds are singing
two total strangers
but that ain't what they're thinking
outside it's cold
misty and it's raining
they got each other
neither one's complaining
he say's i sorry
but i'm out of milk and coffee
never mind sugar
we can watch the early movie
if you want my body
and you think i'm sexy
come on sugar let me know
if you really need me
just reach out and touch me
come on honey tell me so
if you really need me
just reach out and touch me
come on sugar let me know
if you really, really
really, really need me
just let me know
just reach out and touch me
if you really want me
just reach out and touch me
come on sugar let me know
if you really need me
just reach out and touch me
come on sugar let me know
if you, if you
if you really need me
I got something to say
That might cause you pain,
If I catch you talking to that boy again,
I'm gonna let you down,
And leave you flat,
Because I told you before, oh,
You can't do that.
Well, it's the second time,
I've caught you talking to him,
Do I have to tell you one more time, I think it's a sin,
I'm gonna let you down.
Let you down and leave you flat,
Gonna let you down and leave you flat,
Because I've told you before, oh,
You can't do that.
Everybody's green,
'Cause I'm the one, who won your love,
But if it's seen,
You're talking that way they'd laugh in my face.
So please listen to me, if you wanna stay mine,
I can't help my feelings, I'll go out of my mind.
I know I'll let you down,
I'm gonna leave you flat,
Gonna let you down and leave you flat,
Because I've told you before, oh,
Leaves are falling all around,
It's time I was on my way.
For such a pleasant stay.
But now it's time for me to go,
The autumn moon lights my way.
For now I smell the rain,
And with it pain,
And it's headed my way.
Ah, sometimes I grow so tired,
But I know I've got one thing I got to do,
Ramble on,
And nows the time, the time is now
To sing my song.
I'm goin round the world,
I got to find my girl, on my way.
I've been this way ten years to the day, ramble on,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.
Got no time to for spreadin roots,
The time has come to be gone.
And tho our health we drank a thousand times,
It's time to ramble on.
Ramble on,
And nows the time, the time is now
To sing my song.
I'm goin round the world,
I got to find my girl, on my way.
I've been this way ten years to the day, ramble on,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.
I aint tellin no lie.
Mines a tale that can't be told,
My freedom I hold dear;
How years ago in days of old
When magic filled the air,
Twas in the darkest depths of mordor
I met a girl so fair,
But gollum, and the evil one crept up
And slipped away with her.
Her, her... yea.
Aint nothing I can do, no.
Ramble on,
And nows the time, the time is now
To sing my song.
I'm goin round the world,
I got to find my girl, on my way.
I've been this way ten years to the day, ramble on,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.
Gonna ramble on, sing my song
Gotta keep-a-searchin for my baby...
Gonna work my way, round the world
I can't stop this feelin in my heart
Gotta keep searchin for my baby
I can't find my bluebird!
I'd listen to my bluebird sing but I can't find my blue
Bird
Aaaaah
Aaaaah
We come from the land
Of the ice and snow
From the midnight sun
Where the hot springs blow
The hammer of the gods
Will drive our ships to new lands
To fight the horde, singing and crying
Valhalla, I am coming
On we sweep
With threshing oar
Our only goal
Will be the westernshore
Aaaaah
Aaaaah
We come from the land
Of the ice and snow
From the midnight sun
Where the hot springs blow
How soft your fields so green
Can whisper tales of gore
Of how we calmed the tides of war
We are your overlords
On we sweep
With threshing oar
Our only goal
Will be the westernshore
So now you'd better stop
And rebuild all your ruins
For peace and trust can win the day
Despite of all you're losing
Uh, uh, uh
Uh, uh, uh
Uh, uh, uh
People get ready
There's a train a-coming
You don't need no baggage
You just get on board
All you need is faith
To hear diesels humming
You don't need no ticket
You just thank the Lord
Yeah yeah yeah
People get ready
For the train to Jordan
Picking up passengers
From coast to coast
Faith is the key
Open the doors and board them
There's room for all
Among the loved and lost
Now there ain't no room
For the hopeless sinner
Who抯 hard on mankind
Just to save his own
Have pity on those
Whose chances are thinner
Cause there's no hiding place
From the Kingdom's Throne
Ohh people get ready
There's a train a-coming
You don't need no baggage
You just get on board
All you need is faith
To hear diesels a- humming
You don't need no ticket
You just thank the Lord
Yeah yeah yeah
I'm getting ready
I - I'm ready yeah yeah yeah
Oh I'm getting ready oh - oh
Some velvet morning when I'm straight
I'm gonna open up your gate
And maybe tell you 'bout Phaedra
and how she gave me life
and how she made it in
Some velvet morning when I'm straight
Flowers growing on the hill
Dragonflies and daffodils
Learn from us very much
Look at us but do not touch
Phaedra is my name
Some velvet morning when I'm straight
I'm gonna open up your gate
I'm gonna open up your gate
And maybe tell you 'bout Phaedra
and how she gave me life
and how she made it in
Some velvet morning when I'm straight
Flowers are the things we know
Secrets are the things we grow
Learn from us very much
Look at us but do not touch
Phaedra is my name
Some velvet morning when I'm straight
I'm gonna open up your gate:
And maybe tell you 'bout Phadra
No one told me about her, the way she lied.
Well, no one told me about her, how many people cried.
But it's too late to say you're sorry.
How would I know, why should I care?
Please, don't bother tryin' to find her,
she's not there.
Ooh, nobody told me about her. What could I do?
Well, no one told me about her though they all knew.
But it's too late to say you're sorry.
How would I know, why should I care?
Please, don't bother tryin' to find her,
she's not there.
Well, let me tell you 'bout the way she looks,
the way she acted, the color of her hair.
Her voice was soft and cool,
Her eyes were clear and bright but she's not there.
But it's too late to say you're sorry.
How would I know, why should I care?
Please, don't bother tryin' to find her,
she's not there.
Well, let me tell you 'bout the way she looks,
The way she acted, the color of her hair.
Her voice was soft and cool,
